it is AB, I think? Her likes and dislikes are both extremes. She abnormally
pampers Ayane, her childhood friend. Even if I, Kazami Hinata, is also her childhood friend, but from Nanoka’s own words,
she doesn’t like nor hate me, just that I’m an existence who is attached to
Ayane. ..This is what I thought, always until now.” Hinata looks dark when his editor tells him that s/he has seen the
storyboard and the female character still has no charm. “Kazami-kun, do you
feel this character is cute while you’re drawing it?” Hinata tells him/her that actually, he doesn’t understand quite
well. His editor tells him not to think too much and make it complicated since
he only has to draw a character his own way wherein he thinks is she is cute,
and that’s it. “Since you’re already in high school, as a mangaka, there ought
to be a lot of girls in your class, right? Properly observe them a bit.” Hinata darkly thinks that he actually
don’t understand girls. “What’s up with Nanoka? *recalls Nanoka saying that she
likes him* Is that for real? Is it some sort of penalty game or ‘mess up with
you’ game? I totally don’t get what you’re thinking..” At the lockers, Hinata’s friend asks if it is some Gal
Game that his childhood friend playfully confessed to him. Hinata tells him that it isn’t a Gal Game, it is reality. His
friend asks if he is planning to do, go steady with her? Hinata tells him that he won’t go steady with her and if she is
serious about the confession, he would rather draw manga rather than have a
romance. His friend says that he knows the feeling for he finds real girls
boring [<- 2D girls in Gal Game are more interesting]. Hinata darkly tells him not to lump him together with him. His
friend tells him that his manga romance drawings is always stiff [/forced] and
for someone who hasn’t properly been in love, is it okay for him to draw this
kind of manga. Hinata is stunned that
his friend has to tell him that his cellphone is ringing. It is from Nanoka who
wants to continue their conversation this morning so can they go home together?
Hinata thinks that this isn’t related
because the [romantic] love depicted in shounen manga is a guy’s romance and
longing that doesn’t have to be like in real life so even if one doesn’t have
experience in love... While walking home, Nanoka tells Hinata that even if she doesn’t really want to hear his reply but
continuing this ambiguous situation doesn’t make her feel good. Hinata nervously thinks that this isn’t
some sort of penalty game or some ‘mess with you’ game.. He asks what reply is
she referring to..does it refer to going steady or not. Nanoka says that simply
saying, that is what it means. Hinata
mentally apologizes to Nanoka that right now, he hasn’t fallen in love with her
but hewould rather concentrate on manga, draw a more interesting manga, in
short, everything for manga.. He recalls his friend asking if it is alright for
a guy who hasn’t experienced love to write this kind of manga. Hinata ends up telling Nanoka that if
he’s okay with her then, yoroshiku[/take care of me]. Nanoka is delighted. Hinata couldn’t believe that he is a guy
who can be wavered by someone’s opinion.

Stardust Wink Side Story: Don’t Really Like You (Part 1 of 2)
Cover page: “Childhood friends, quarrelsome friends,
classmates. Our relationships are like that and there are no other progress,
right?” Narration: “This guy is Kazami Hinata
(15 years old). Birthday: March 9th. Pisces. AB blood type. Favorite food is
miso ramen but he hates eating dried bamboo shoots. Usually, he would pretend
to be listening attentively to the lecture but actually, he is always thinking
of manga as an active high school mangaka. If you ask me how come I know about
these things about him, that is because Hinata
is my, Saeki Nanoka’s childhood friend. THIS IS NOT AT ALL BECAUSE I LIKE HINATA. THINGS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS.” In
the classroom, Nanoka is frowning over a girl telling Hinata that her younger brother is a fan of his and he would be
happy to have his autograph [which usually has a drawing of the mangaka along
with the signature]. “I know that you are definitely very busy, but, if it is
okay, please give an autograph to my younger brother.” Hinata agrees and says that he would be happy to. The girl is
delighted and says that her younger brother will definitely be happy. Nanoka
mutters that he’s horny. Hinata turns
around and asks, what. Nanoka shouts that even if he very happily replied, but
the one who likes him isn’t Sakuma [佐久間]
but Sakuma’s younger brother. “Don’t think that you are lucky in love that you
are proud of yourself!!” While Sakuma [the girl] is stunned, Hinata angrily asks what’s up with
Nanoka for he didn’t think that way nor is he proud of himself. Narration:
“Ever since it was publicly know in the class that he is a mangaka, from time
to time, there are girls who are interested in Hinata. [Girls saying that he’s amazing and would want to read the
manga he is writing.] But, whatever, it’s fine but today, I bafflingly felt
furious.” At the photography room, Anna tells Nanoka to stop while she’s ahead
for this childish thing of bullying the person she likes, she won’t be forgiven
and there are other ways of doing it so don’t be mean. Looking away, Nanoka
says that Anna is telling her again that she likes Hinata. “Nanoka and Hinata are
only childhood playmates! Don’t say that to me just because you and your
childhood friend are lovey-dovey!” Blushing Anna mutters that isn’t what she
meant. Turning open a [/organizer] notebook, Ayane says that actually
Anna-chan’s situation is rarely seen but what is this inside Nanoka’s treasured
notebook. It is a picture of young Nanoka and Hinata eating bento while holding up V-sign. Shocked Nanoka
exclaims how come they are looking at that without persmission. After Ayane
shows it to Anna, Anna exclaims that it is so cute, and it is a picture of
Nanoka and Kazami when they are young. Flustered Nanoka exclaims that it isn’t like
that, the photo just floats down while she is tidying up her closet. “I felt
that it is a bit nostalgic!! There is no other meaning to it.”

Stardust★Wink Side Story: Starting tomorrow, The Way to Become an Adult
Cover page: “Please don’t treat me like a kid! Because
these feelings really exists!!” Narration: “Ichihara Beni (12 years old)
currently in grade six. I look quite mature only because of the clothes I wear.
It is because the person I like is older than me♥♥” While Sou is sweatdropping,
Beni happily exclaims, “Sou, listen to what I have to say- Today, Beni is
mistaken for a high school student that I was being hit on-!” Sou asks if she
is lying low [/ambush] and waiting for him there [by the gate/elevator] again.
Beni tells him that if she didn’t do this, she won’t be able to see him. Sou
says that they can see each other since they live in the same apartment
building. Narration: “Nagase Sou (15 years old) currently in third year junior
high. This person is older than Beni and he is [my] secret love.” By the
elevator, Beni asks Sou if he heard her, she was just being hit on, so isn’t he
like jealous or something. Sou says compared to that, it is very dangerous to
chitchat with some unknown person. Beni happily thinks that Sou is worried
about her. Her smile freezes when Sou adds that even if her appearance is like
a high schooler, but to sum it up, she is a brat. Narration: “But it is always
like this, days wherein he would only think of me as a kid and not as a girl.”
Later in the house, Beni’s mother scolds Beni for leaving the carrots and green
peppers again. She told Beni to eat it all up. Beni groans. Her mother tells
Beni not to be picky with food. “Starting next year, you’ll be a junior high
student, right? You’re no longer a child so eat it all up!” Beni whines over
people looking in the inside rather than the appearance, so is that making Sou treat
her like a kid. “If Sou likes me, whether it is carrots or green peppers, I
will eat it all up~~” Mashiro smirks. Beni says that he smiled just now.
Reading the newspaper, Mashiro says that is quite rude and it is because it is
quite foolish. Beni screams at her mother over why her brother is home again.
Her mother asks if it is bad to come home during the year end. Beni exclaims
no, he is always coming home, are college students this free [/got nothing to
do]. Mashiro tells Beni that he’ll teach her a way on how to make her heart
[inner being] become like an adult. Curious Beni asks what that is and is there
a way. Mashiro says that of course, there is. Beni asks him to teach her. Dark
Mashiro tells her that she has to accept the fact that no matter how much she
tries, she also cannot attain that love, and [she ought to] give up. “If you
are able to do this, then you will become an adult.” Beni is shock. She starts
to cry and calls out to her mother that brother, he.. Their mother scolds
Mashiro and asks if he is really an adult.

Stardust★Wink [Chapter 49] -Fin-
Cover page: “Tears flowed, and also got angry,
there are times when [we] still quarrel but in the end, it’s always SMILE &
PEACE☆
Thank you everyone for always supporting☆” Sou had just told Anna that no
matter what, he wants Anna, and since she said that he can only think of
himself, then, he won’t give in again.. Anna is surprised when Sou leans toward
her to kiss her. She thinks, “Eh, what is going on? What is Sou saying? In the
end, all of the things that Ayane-chan said are true? Ah, right now, Sou still
likes me? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. And, what I said about ‘only thinking
more of yourself’ didn’t imply this kind of meaning at all. Huh? This meaning?
But, ah, if I don’t obstruct it at all and make my body react is also a way to
resolve this.. Wrong, wrong, how can that be--.. *remembers Hinata*” To her
surprise, Sou pinches her cheek and says, “Do not really freeze-up like that,
idiot. During this time, you should shout out loud ‘How Gro-ss’ and then use
your foot to kick me away. *walks away and sighs* Ah, that subtle prepare to
fight stance is an expression of resistance, right? *stunned Anna is holding up
her closed fists* It’s also quite difficult to understand. Like this, even if
it is a forced kiss, it is also hard and unbearable for you to say, ‘I’ve
already resisted!’ to dispute it. Geez.” Anna nervously asks, “Ah.. Question

Sou lamely says that it is acting. “Hey you, if you think that a guy who has

a grave mistake, okay? Do not treat what I said as real. How humiliating.” Anna
goes into shock. Angrily pointing at him, Anna shouts that he’s a detestable
guy. “What is that acting! When did you start acting!!” Sou just says that it
is up to her to imagine it. Anna shouts for him not to joke around up to that
extent for she is truly distressed. “That being the case, do not act by going
around in circles and shouldn’t it be okay for you to just straightforwardly
tell me from the start!!” Sou calls her stupid for there are things that have
to be acted out for one to understand. “‘Anna can’t kiss me’ that is such a
simple answer. *picks up the tea drink she dropped* Even if you were confused
by Ayane and say that you like me, but in the end, what up’s with that. *hands
her the drink* Here, you’ve dropped this.” Anna remembers Hinata who gave her
that drink. She says, “..but..” Sou asks if she still has something to say.
Starting to cry, Anna asks what is then, that feeling she has for him, because
she isn’t being confused [by Anna] and that kind of feeling truly existed. Sou
tells her that is ‘childhood friend complex’.

To be just like ordinary day’s scenery but right now, it appears there’s a difference.” Sou starts to walk away after telling Anna that he has no way of being with them crazy people. Anna snaps out of it when Hinata is calling on her cellphone. After she answers, Hinata asks if she caught up with Sou. Anna says, about that.. Hinata tells her that it can’t be helped if she wasn’t able to catch up with Sou anyway, it isn’t only today that they can do a stage practice. “Sorry for making you run after him in vain. Everyone has already gathered in the gym. Anna, you also quickly come.” Anna looks at Sou approaching the gate then she exclaims no, she’ll definitely bring him back so wait a moment. Anna runs and calls out to Sou. She exclaims that she understands that he doesn’t want to be with her, she doesn’t have any objection on that. “But, about these two things, don’t confuse one with another!! How can you be absent for the cultural festival practice, just because of your own problem!! *Sou is speechless while the other students are looking at them* As the lead character, who isn’t there, how can we practice! Since you’ve already agreed to be the lead character then seriously do it until the end!! That’s how it is to be a man!! If you understand that, then quickly go to the gym. *grabs Sou’s hand and starts pulling him* Quick!!” Sou angrily shouts to let him go for didn’t he say that he’s going home. Soon, at the gym, Anna manages to bring gloomy Sou to the gym and she happily tells everyone that the lead character has arrived. Nanoka angrily shouts at poop Sou that he’s too slow and does he think of himself as some celebrity to make them wait just because he is the lead character. Sou darkly says, ‘ha?’ Hinata says that they should quickly hurry and practice from start to bottom. He tells everyone that like what he said earlier, the performers go on stage at either of the two sides. Hinata tells Sou that lead Snow White is at the right side. Sou looks away and says, ya.

Cover page: “Anna has break up with Hinata.. how will this romance progress?” On the television, there is an interview of an actress named Saitou Megumi [guesswork from 佐藤純] who is suspected of bigamy. In her tearful press conference, Megumi says that she sincerely likes both guys. “And, the two of them also equally and sincerely likes me. Is it wrong to mutually love both guys? I cannot accept..” While giving some milk to aghast Anna, Anna’s mother says that this Megumi is saying reckless things and in the end, there are a lot of weird people in the showbiz world. “And, I used to really like that actress.” The male announcer tells his co-announcer that he feels that Megumi’s way of talking is quite childish. The female announcer agrees with him and it is quite hard to believe. The male announcer says that it is quite problematic if Megumi herself doesn’t think that she is wrong. Anna gloomily thinks that if that is directed at her. “Are the people in society condemning me? (having delusions)” Anna tells her mother that she’s going. While riding on the train by herself, Anna thinks that it is quite baffling for right now, she feels quite lighter. She tightly grips the pole when she remembers Hinata somewhat smiling and saying okay, let’s break up. She thinks that seeing Hinata smiling and accepting her willfulness, she wanted to disappear on the spot. “What the heck am I doing? I seriously hate myself. *arrives at the clubroom* I don’t know if Ayane-chan has already arrived. After yesterday, I totally don’t know how I should see her. *Aya smiling and telling Anna that she likes both Sou and Hinata at the same time.* There’s only one thing that I know. That is, Ayane-chan truly, really hates me.. Ah, but, in the club, there is also Nanoka..” Her thoughts are interrupted when Aya calls out to her and asks if she isn’t going in. “Good morning, Anna-chan.” Anna freaks out while greeting Aya back. Looking around, she asks where Nanoka is. Aya tells her that Nanoka won’t be coming today. Opening the door, Aya says that she asked Nanoka not to come because she wants to talk with Anna alone. Anna looks nervous over this.

Cover page: “Liking both Hinata and Sou at the same time!? Anna’s true feelings is..” Back in the classroom, crossed arms Nanoka says that those two guys definitely ran after Anna. Hinata asks those two guys? Nanoka says Nagase-kun and Hinata-kun. Nanoka sighs and says that after Anna went to photocopy, those two also left the classroom. “It’s too obvious. Never mind if Hinata-kun went but that poop Nagase!! He already has Aya-chan, such a perfect and cute girlfriend, so what’s up with that!? Why don’t you quickly go die!!” Hinata comments that Nanoka’s conclusion is always the same. Breathing heavily from running, Anna arrives and apologizes for being late. She gives the photocopied scripts to Hinata. Hinata tells her good job. Anna apologizes again for she has something to do today so she wants to go home first. Nanoka exclaims in surprise. Anna apologizes again. She quickly takes her bag and leaves. While running in the streets, Anna remembers Sou telling her that since she can’t hide it properly, just say what she wants to say. Then, she remembers Aya telling her that she knows Anna’s feelings – Anna likes Hinata that she went steady with him and in the end, she also likes Sou. “You like both of them and no matter which side, you want them to stay at your side. That’s your true feelings, right?” Anna trips and falls flat on the ground. She sits up as some bystanders just look at her. She thinks that in the end, she ran away. “Saying those words in front of Hinata and Sou, I really can’t keep on staying there. What is Ayane-chan saying. The one I like is obviously Hinata and yet she said that I also like Sou. It’s really too strange. For me, Sou is, Sou is--..” Her thoughts are interrupted by a car that is honking at her. She looks up to see that it is Mashiro. From his car, Mashiro says that it turns out to be Anna. “What are you doing sitting at the sidewalk?” Anna exclaims in surprise why he appeared here. Mashiro says that he wasn’t able to come home during the Obon festival so he wants to come back and show his face during college break. “And putting that aside, you’re bleeding!?”

Cover page: “What could be in front of this path?” Anna recalls Hinata saying that occasionally, he would wonder whether or not she likes Sou. She thinks, “I was shock that Hinata would say that. I’m already going steady with Hinata. Why would he still say that? But, if I properly think of it, the one who made Hinata say that is me. Could I have done something that have made Hinata think that way? Always until now, I knew that but I still don’t understand.. what did I do that made Hinata misunderstand.. And I don’t have a single clue.. *gloomily thinking about it in the empty clubroom* What did I do during the double date? Did I talk too much with Sou? No, Hinata is also together talking [with us].. What is it that made Hinata say that-..” Her thoughts are interrupted by Nanoka and Aya who come in the clubroom. Nanoka happily greets Anna a good morning. She comments that Anna is looking so listless so early in the morning and they are now going to start preparing for their booth in the cultural festival. Anna asks how come the two of them are.. Nanoka says that it is because Anna always goes to school so early so they also should quickly start preparing. “This is what Aya-chan had taken note of. Right, Aya-chan♡♡ *happily whispers to Anna* Aya-chan already said it. She won’t go to school with Sou again ♥♥ hihi♡♡” Anna thinks that just because of that, Nanoka’s mood had changed. Anna suddenly remembered that Aya is a bit weird yesterday. Aya apologizes to Anna for suddenly leaving like that yesterday and she wanted to see a lot more of the place but she unexpectedly felt unwell. Anna exclaims is that so, and is she okay. Aya smiles and says yes, she is already fine. Nanoka exclaims if the two of them went out together. Anna[/Aya] says no, they are with Sou and Hinata. Nanoka looks glum over this. Smiling Aya apologizes for not inviting Nanoka and if she has a boyfriend, they can go together next time.. Looking away, Nanoka declares that she doesn’t want a boyfriend. Aya says that she is saying that again. Anna gloomily thinks that no matter which side, there is a dispute. Nanoka exclaims that they’ll end that topic and they should quickly start preparing. While Anna and Nanoka are talking about what to do, serious Aya is glancing at Anna. Anna wonders why, when she can go steady with Hinata, the three of them can go to school together, and fundamentally, she thought that it will be a happy second term, why did things turn out like this.

What is it that made Hinata say that-..” Her thoughts are interrupted by Nanoka and Aya who come in the clubroom. Nanoka happily greets Anna a good morning. She comments that Anna is looking so listless so early in the morning and they are now going to start preparing for their booth in the cultural festival. Anna asks how come the two of them are.. Nanoka says that it is because Anna always goes to school so early so they also should quickly start preparing. “This is what Aya-chan had taken note of. Right, Aya-chan♡♡ *happily whispers to Anna* Aya-chan already said it. She won’t go to school with Sou again ♥♥ hihi♡♡” Anna thinks that just because of that, Nanoka’s mood had changed. Anna suddenly remembered that Aya is a bit weird yesterday. Aya apologizes to Anna for suddenly leaving like that yesterday and she wanted to see a lot more of the place but she unexpectedly felt unwell. Anna exclaims is that so, and is she okay. Aya smiles and says yes, she is already fine. Nanoka exclaims if the two of them went out together. Anna[/Aya] says no, they are with Sou and Hinata. Nanoka looks glum over this. Smiling Aya apologizes for not inviting Nanoka and if she has a boyfriend, they can go together next time.. Looking away, Nanoka declares that she doesn’t want a boyfriend. Aya says that she is saying that again. Anna gloomily thinks that no matter which side, there is a dispute. Nanoka exclaims that they’ll end that topic and they should quickly start preparing. While Anna and Nanoka are talking about what to do, serious Aya is glancing at Anna. Anna wonders why, when she can go steady with Hinata, the three of them can go to school together, and fundamentally, she thought that it will be a happy second term, why did things turn out like this.

Cover page: “The time, when the 3 are together, is most important.” Volume 9 is out on August 10, cover is Sou. And, they are currently holding a popularity poll for the series. In Anna’s room, while holding Coco, aghast Hinata says, “Don’t want to. I absolutely don’t want to go on a double date with Aso-chan.” Anna looks flustered and quiet. She tells him that she had anticipated that he will tell her that and at first, she did plan to turn her down. Hinata says that it is okay for her to just refuse and how come she didn’t. Flashback: Aya told Anna that she always longed to have a double date with friends so can Anna free a day for her. “I’ll also help you in describing accurately the preparations for the cultural festival *smiles* so that it won’t be exposed to Sou and others.” End flashback. Aghast Anna thinks that for Aya to say it that way, she couldn’t refuse. Anna cries and tells Hinata that she could have said that she refuses but she has a reason why she couldn’t do it. Glancing at her, Hinata sighs and finally agrees. Anna is really happy over this and thanks him. Hinata says that Sou might refuse for he thinks that Sou won’t approve of it or rather, he hopes that Sou refuses. Anna agrees that there is a possibility of that. Then, Anna’s cellphone rings. They read a message from Aya regarding the double date, “I’ve just ask Sou and he said OK. ^o^*sparkles* How about Hinata??” Hinata becomes gloomy. Anna tensely asks Hinata if it is okay to tell Aya that it is okay with him, too. Hinata sighs deeply and says, ya. Anna writes back that it is also okay with Hinata. While Hinata is looking at her, Anna thinks that she doesn’t know whether or not, Sou is with Aya, and since Hinata said that, what could Sou be thinking when he heard about the double date. “Even if I really want to ask him, but I couldn’t ask it. Cover page: “A wish that is entrusted on a tanzaku [a strip of paper wherein one’s wishes are written on it during Tanabata festival], will it come true?” Looking at his cellphone, Sou shouts, “Ah, it’s true!! I have really searched a flower called ‘Tokiwamansaku’!!” [There is no English name for the flower, it’s scientific name is Loropetalum Chinense; 常盤滿作] Hinata says, “Didn’t I tell you? I immediately thought of it the moment I heard that Tokiwa-kun is called ‘Mansaku’.” Sou replies, “How can you unexpectedly think of that. This kind of flower isn’t quite popular. If it’s ‘Mansaku Ukonkou*’, then I would know.” [*Tulip in Japanese] Hinata mutters, “Ukonkou..Ukonkou..for this to be a guy’s name is..” Sou laughs and says that still, it is a popular flower. Then, Anna arrives. She waves at them and says, “Good morning you, two! It seems that you guys are also quite happy so early in the morning!! *smiling* What are you guys talking about!?” While Sou is speechless, Hinata tells her that the full name of their class’ Tokiwa-kun is the same with a flower’s name. Anna exclaims, “Ah—is that so!! That’s quite fun!!” Sou asks her what’s up with her for being in such a high mood and don’t be like that so early in the morning. As they prepare to walk to station, Sou says ya, it is very amusing for Tokiwa isn’t a match with flowers. Cover page: “Even if it is raining, [I’m] still very happy♥ Besides, for whom is this other umbrella prepared for?” Narration: “I totally didn’t know that Ayane-chan thinks that way.” Riding on the train, Hinata asks Anna what did Aso-chan tell her awhile ago. Anna looks at him in surprise and says that there are times when she wonders if he has a super power. Hinata tells her that while waiting for the drawing of lots, he would occasionally see the two of them talking and their voices are unexpectedly quite loud. Anna is aghast-surprised by this. Hinata says that even if he wasn’t able to hear all of it, he can roughly know the situation. Surprised Anna says is that so. Anna thinks that maybe if she talked about this with Hinata, she can calm down a bit. “Even if I don’t quite understand the reason as to why my heart indescribably hurts as it beats. This feeling..” Anna tells Hinata that didn’t they met up with Ayane-chan and Sou at the fireworks display. “Afterwards, Ayane-chan told me, ‘Thank you for not telling this to Nanoka.’” Puzzled Hinata asks why she is being thanked. Anna explains that Nanoka is Ayane-chan’s childhood playmate and she is very much infatuated with Ayane-chan. “Afterwards, she is particularly hostile Sou who used to go steady with Ayane-chan. She has been so hostile towards him that upon entering this school, it caused a huge uproar!!” Hinata says is that so, and that’s amazing. Anna continues to tell him that so, it appears that Ayane-chan has no plans of telling Nanoka about Sou. And she would even say, ‘Even if I tell Nanoka, she also won’t understand. And I don’t want to be bothered[/hindered] by her’ Isn’t that.. *remembers Ayane’s expression when she said that and how she looked at her* That.. Ah, but!? Before, Nanoka told me, ‘Aya-chan might already have a boyfriend- (sob)’ So, it is also very hard to pretend that I don’t know.. But, I also can’t tell her. Cover page: “Anna∙Sou∙Hinata, the three are reunited. High school life will now sta-rt!!” The three childhood friends had arrived at school. At the gate, the girls are quickly talking about them. “It’s Sou-kun! Today, he is also very handsome-♥♥” “Speaking of Sou-kun, who is that guy beside him!? Is there also such a handsome guy going in our school!?” A girl exclaims that at is Hinata-kun, in Nishinaka, he’s a famous guy like Sou. “So, it’s true, the rumor about a new transfer student coming to our school!! Will he be going in to our class-♥♥” “But, who is that girl going to school with them? What is that?” Anna keeps on smiling even if she isn’t too happy about that. The two guys look back at her when Anna comments that this is so nostalgic. “Going to school in the morning, girls are gaga over the two of you and they will dart ‘who is that girl’ glances at me..” Pointing to Sou, Hinata says, “They are excited is because of Sou, right? It has nothing to do with me.” Posing his hand under his chin, Sou says, “Ah, is that so? Because I’m too handsome that they are enchanted over me, right?” Anna says that this déjà vu is already too much and she won’t act as the tsukkomi* this time around. [*straight man in a manzai comedy. If you re-read chapter 1, Hinata and Sou’s reactions are the same so Anna is saying that she won’t react the same like before.] Anna is frowning when Sou is telling Hinata to throw those flirty glances. Flashing a v-sign, Hinata with closed eyes, says ya. While Sou is laughing, Anna punches him at the back and shouts that it is forbidden that only the two of them are having so much fun. Sou asks why he is the only one who suffers. He tells her if she wants to mingle with them then come forward and straightforwardly mingle with them for being jealous is such an ugly sight. Anna exclaims that isn’t what she is feeling, and who does he think, is the cause of making her heart feel heavy in this new school term. Sou asks what she meant by that. Hinata tries to call for Anna but she already runs off to the school building. Narration: “I, Hinata and Sou are neighbors living in the same building. We grew up together and it has been 16 years already. But, this year, it isn’t the same. I and Hinata have started going steady. Before, every year, the three of us would always go together to see the fireworks display. This year only I and Hinata went together. Actually, it is fortunate that things develop up to this point..”

Cover Page: “New season is starting♥” Unpacking a box filled with books, Anna holds a book on figure drawing. She calls out to Hinata and asks him what she’ll do with these books. “Is it okay for me to just put them on the bookshelf?” Hinata says okay, thank you. While Hinata is carrying a box, Sou asks Hinata about what these stuff [looks like canvas pads/boards]. Narration: “Right now, it is summer vacation. And truly- a lot of things had happened. And, Hinata has moved back to this apartment’s room 303. Afterwards, Sou happily exclaims that it now feels like some sort of luxurious room. “Good- going to have a long term stay here.” Hinata comments that Sou only goes there to play and it isn’t necessary for him to go to his room. Sparkling Sou says that it would be good if Hinata would also play. Hinata says that playing with Sou is like playing to lose. Sou says that not yet. Looking at the two, Anna wonders what this is. “Even if I’m very happy that Hinata came back, but because the reason for leaving is a bit ‘what the’, I also felt heavy. *pouting* But in the end, these two guys are happily having fun...” Anna punches Sou’s back that Sou exclaims that it hurts, and why is she doing that, all of a sudden. Hiyori [Hinata’s mother] comes in and happily thanks the two for helping Hinata unpack his luggage. “Are you guys tired? Come have some tea and cake♥” Anna happily thanks her. Hiyori tells them that she made that cake herself and she is very confident in making it. It is a strawberry cake with greetings, ‘♥♥♥Happy Quitting School. ♥♥ Hina-chan, ♥♥ welcome back♥♥♥” Anna and Sou are shock by this and gloomily mutters, “Happy..” Hinata apologizes to his friends, and tells them that it is alright, he is already gotten used to it so.. Hiyori exclaims that it doesn’t exactly mean like congratulations for quitting school. Aghast Sou says no, this is a congratulation, it is absolutely a congratulation. Hiyori starts crying that ever since Hinata left, she has been extremely lonely so she is very happy that they get to live together again. Hinata says yes, that’s true. Hiyori continues to say that it is the same for Hinata because even if quitting school is really bad but he also totally doesn’t totally hate it, right? “And, you’re also very happy that you’ll be able to go to school together with Anna-chan and Sou-kun, right!?”

Cover Page: “A girl in love always has a heart that beats endlessly♥” Perspiring in the heat, Anna uses her hand to shield her face from the sun. She says, “Hey.. Didn’t you say that it is a 5 minute walk and we’ll be able to reach Hinata’s school? I feel like we are already walking for 10 minutes..” Perspiring Sou looks at his cellphone and says, “Wait, in the end, that road a while ago, should we have turned right there? Nope, but just looking at the map, it says that the correct way is to go straight..” Looking aghast, Anna says, “So, didn’t I say that we should have gone to the right..” Sou angrily shouts, “Ha?! You fundamentally didn’t even say it, okay!!” Pointing at Sou, Anna shouts that he is the one in the wrong because he didn’t listen. Sou answers back, “Who would listen to the words of someone who can’t even read a map!! Anyway, you are also just basing it on your feeling to say which one is right!!” Soon, the two are bickering in the streets. Narration: “Hello everyone. I’m Koshiro Anna. Cover page: “From today on, these three people, Hinata∙Sou∙Anna’s progress is..!? Thank you everyone for the support for these past three years!!” Soon, it is July 29th, and it is already the rewarding ceremony of the Photo Koshien. Hinata and his group won second place. Anna happily looks on as Hinata and others accept the prize. Narration: “After so many things that had happened, the Photo Koshien competition has smoothly ended after three days. At the end, Hinata and others got the runner-up’s prize, while we got the ‘dare to fight’ reward.” At the building, where the contestants are taking a break, Chiaki sighs and says that ‘dare to fight reward’ is basically the same with ‘participation’ reward’. Anna tries to say something about that but Chiaki continues to say that she wished everyone would concentrate in the competition, and even if she has a lot of complaints, but she felt that everyone did their best. Nanoka comments that just as anticipated, Chiaki tends to have a grudge. Hinata lightly knocks Anna’s head and tells her, ‘Good job’. Anna congratulates him for getting the runner-up prize. She exclaims that the pictures of Hinata and others are amazing as if they were taken by professionals. At the side, Chiaki acts like a man when she says that it is amazing to be able to fight in this [competition], and Mari happily says that she is right. Aya and Nanoka look shock by this. [Ah, the two sensei acts like a couple? ^^;] Hinata tells Anna that he isn’t amazing but rather his senpai-s.. Short haired senpai interrupts by saying that he has good insight with photos, and it seems Tokura-kun clearly knows about it [that they are good]. Then, she tells her friend that she doesn’t have enough drinks so they should go get some. The long haired senpai sheepishly look at her friend. Anna and Hinata look speechless at the two as they leave. Aghast, Anna points to his senpai-s, and asks Hinata if those senpai are like that in normal days. After a pause, Hinata tells her that last year, his senpai-s also joined the competition last year, and they also won the runner-up prize. Anna says that it is amazing. Hinata says that they planned on bringing back to Tokyo the first prize this year so, right now, they are extremely unhappy about it. While muttering that it is already amazing to get runner-up prize, Anna says is that so. Hinata says yes.

Beni’s Side Story: Beni is walking with her two friends. They tell her that her cellphone strap is cute. Beni says that it’s quite good and it is.. She notices Sou walking in the same street that she quickly waves at him, and calls his name. Sou doesn’t look happy to see Beni. Beni happily tells him that it must be fate that she coincidentally met up with him. She asks him if he is going home, and does he want to walk together. Sou refuses. Beni says that it is alright, anyway, they live in the same apartment. Sou says that he is going to meet with someone, and kids should go home together with kids. Then, his phone rings so Sou answers it. Sou bids goodbye to pouting Beni. While Sou walking away, he tells the other party that he will be there soon. Beni’s friend asks her if that is the guy she likes, and what does she like about him. The other friend says that he is indeed handsome but he has a cold-hearted attitude, that he seems scary. Beni looks at Sou’s cellphone and it has the cellphone strap that she gave him before on his birthday. [<- Chapter 5] Beni tells them that what she likes about Sou..is a secret♥♥♥ because if she tells them, everyone would like him♪ This puzzles the others. The end. From the present chapter 37, Sou no longer has that cellphone strap on his cellphone. I wonder if Beni still has a one-sided crush on him.

Cover page: “Let’s also happily pass through 2012-!!” Anna looks surprised after Mari asked her what she is doing there, together with Hinata. Terrified Anna thinks, “She’s here.. Phantom*-sensei Mari-chan!!!” [*means appearing in unexpected places and at unexpected moments; I don’t know if there is really a book/manga called Phantom Sensei, which Anna is referring to.] Hinata tells Mari that they are only chatting and why she is asking Anna about it. Flustered Mari pauses then says that it is because she felt that if she were to ask him, he won’t answer her. “Tokura-kun, you are angry, right?” Mari remembers Hinata’s angry glare. Hinata says that it is nothing, he isn’t angry. “Yesterday, I’m only having a tantrum, and I’m really sorry for that.” To Anna’s shock, Mari holds Hinata’s arm and exclaims if that is true. “It really startled me. Because you suddenly say, ‘please don’t touch me’..” Holding Mari’s hand off him, Hinata says, “But, please do not do this kind of thing again. *Mari and Anna surprised* I don’t want to make Anna unhappy again.” Anna is teary-eyed over what Hinata said. Mari is surprised that Hinata mentioned Anna so she asks Hinata, “Are the two of you going steady?” To Mari’s shock, Hinata answers, “Yes.” Looking devastated, Mari says, “Is.. that.. so.. It turns out that Tokura-kun also doesn’t like me..” Hinata felt guilty. Then, Mari quickly leaves. Anna is at a loss. She tensely wonders what happened just now.. Hinata looks at Anna and apologizes for it. Anna tells him that she totally doesn’t mind but Mari is a bit weird just now since she isn’t the same as before. Hinata says is that so, because for him, no matter when, that teacher is very weird. Anna agrees with him that Mari is indeed usually quite weird. Hinata suggests that they go back to the villa. So, no matter how I and Hinata developed..” Then, Anna hears a clicking sound. She quickly turns around. Hinata asks what it is. I’ve already decided not to mind again, about stuff regarding sensei. Compared to that, I should gather up all my concentration for the Photo Koshien. And speaking of that, the competition continues tomorrow!!”

Cover page: “Kissed by Hinata, Anna will..!? Triangle relationship’s progress is..!?” Anna looks surprised after Hinata told her that he always wanted to say it out, that he also likes her. Anna goes, “..eh. is what you’re saying true?” This surprises Hinata that he asks what that means. Waving her hand, Anna says that it is because she hasn’t heard about this. Hinata tells her that it is because this is the first time that he said it. Anna exclaims that he still has that thing with sensei [Mari]. He tells her that he already said that ‘the person I like isn’t sensei’. Confused Anna shouts, “But you and sensei kissed!!” Looking dark, Hinata asks is she going to talk about that now. Flustered Anna says that this cannot be, that vague, unclear hoodwink past. “I have no way of accepting some ‘cheering up miracle drug’ type of stuff!!” Looking down, Hinata tells her that he doesn’t have that kind of special feelings with Mari. Flashback: Anna told surprised Hinata that Sou had confessed to her and they are going steady. Flashback 2: Mari telling Hinata that he looks down, and did he know that there is a magic that can cheer him up. Hinata says, “If I can like someone else other than you, Anna, it doesn’t matter whoever the other party is. But, in the end, I’m unexpectedly stubborn, no matter what, I still felt that you are better [than the rest].” Anna exclaims, “I also like you, Hinata!!” As they held hands, Anna tells herself not to mind about that thing with Mari. “I like Hinata. Hinata said he also likes me. This is enough. Unexpectedly, I can welcome the day for this to come [true].” In front of the villa, Hinata tells Anna to go in first since it might not be good if they go in together. “It is best that there is some time in between, before we go in.” Blushing Anna goes in and thinks that it is quite strange, for it is obviously not their first time to hold hands, and yet her heart is beating quite fast. While Hinata looks away, Anna continues to think that she won’t be able to sleep tonight. The next day, Chiaki happily exclaims that if they are already prepared, it is time for them to head out. While Nanoka is telling Aya that she felt embarrassed by their t-shirt, Anna thinks that as expected, she didn’t get to sleep last night. She wonders if Hinata get to sleep last night and very soon, they will come back. She notices that Hinata and his other members only dyed their t-shirt, and nothing is written on it.

Narration: “Hello, everyone ☆ Having an unrequited love towards [my] childhood friend, I, Koshiro Anna, 15 years old, have just arrive in Hokkaido to participate in the finals of the Photo Koshien!! *Anna winks, sticks out tongue and flashes v-sign* Hinata, my childhood friend, told me that this time in the final competition, he will tell me his answer to my confession, but.. *Mari comes in between them and says, ‘A-ra..why is Koshiro-chan here-?’* Every time, always, at this point, Kobayashi Mari-sensei will come into the scene. She is obvious a teacher and yet, she would do those kind of things to Hinata, *remembers Mari kissing Hinata and Mari explaining to Anna and Sou before regarding her actions* Ah, those stuff about this person.. Every time I see this person, towards her, I would always feel...” Inside the villa, Mari happily exclaims that no wonder it is a place that can be used by 8 people, it is so spacious. “Won’t it be lucky if there are only four people from one school who can use this small house, Tokura-kun.” Hinata tells her that it is no big deal to him. Looking ill, Anna is hiding behind Nanoka’s back while looking at Hinata and the others. She thinks that it is really bad for she wanted to talk with Hinata but that woman is always nearby. “Physiologically[?], I cannot stand being totally close with that person. Speaking of that, sensei’s body is touching him too much!! Don’t always stick around him!” While Aya and Nanoka are looking at cowering Anna, Chiaki informs them that the advisers will be staying at the first floor’s bedrooms and everyone else will be staying on the second floor. “After leaving your things inside, we will quickly be going out again!!” At the second floor, Nanoka happily points out to Aya that there is a balcony there. Anna is looking at Hinata’s group when she overhears the long dark color haired girl asking Hinata if he will be okay since he is the only boy there. While Hinata goes, ‘Ah..’, the short light color haired girl says that it is alright. “For it also seems that Tokura-kun is the type who doesn’t have sexual desire [/lust].” Aya and Nanoka are nervously surprised over that while Anna is nervously blushing really red over what kind of extreme [/serious] conversation is that. “But, that’s right, I only purely think that I’m very happy to be together with Hinata but.. being the only guy can be comparatively hard..”
