Narration: “Summer has passed. Autumn has passed. Cleo-chan, His Sama-ness. [<-invented word; like His Highness but instead it is ‘sama’.] I’m currently in the process of introspection.” In Chikai’s bedroom, together with the dogs, Chikai is sitting on the carpeted floor. Chikai looks at the side and says, “Hanakou!” Flustered and looking down Hanabi exclaims, “Yes!” Chikai tells her that is the floor. Hanabi is sitting near the corner of the bed which isn’t carpeted. Chikai looks down and says that she obviously wasn’t like that when they are outside. Blushing Hanabi laughs it off and says that it seems that she is still not accustomed in the bedroom. “Then..I’m intru..intruding in..” [<- being polite usually said when going in someone else house.] Chikai looks at her and notices that she has come closer since she is now sitting at the edge of the carpet. Chikai looks away again and sighs. He tells her to forget it and there’s no need for her to come closer. Hanabi still looks flustered. Chikai looks at her and suggests that they watch DVD. He stops midway when he notices that Hanabi is already an arm’s length away from him. Chikai decides to look away again then look at her. Hanabi is now sitting beside him. While Chikai is looking at her, Hanabi profusely exclaims that there is no different meaning to it. “It is..because of the tv! Aren’t we going to watch a DVD?! From this position, I would be able to see more clear..ly..” Hanabi becomes tense since Chikai kept on looking at her that she ends up back to her original place of sitting on the floor at the corner of the bed.

Koibana! Koiseyo Hanabi [Chapter 68 (Final Chapter)]

While Hanabi walks forward, she thinks, “Wanting to run away. Not wanting to look straight, but at that opposite side is where the one I like is [located].” Hanabi follows Yukine as they walk by the river side. Hanabi tensely tells Yukine that if they go there, they might meet up with Chikai. Yukine tells her that he won’t come today because Cleo-chan has two walking routes. Yukine looks back at Hanabi and asks, “You still don’t know about this?” Somewhat flustered Hanabi exclaims, “..it’s only! [because] I still don’t know yet!” Yukine looks at her then slaps her. Flustered Hanabi holds her face and looks back at Yukine. Hanabi slaps Yukine back. Yukine slaps her again and Hanabi slaps back again. A couple of passer-by wonders what’s up with them. Then, the two girls hold hands together as they cry together. Yukine tearfully says, “Until I can naturally forget about it, I won’t meticulously [try to] forget about it. I like Chikai.” Hanabi tearfully answers back, “..me, too..*looks at Yukine* Me, too!” Narration: “Ah, being in love makes one unable to restrain one’s emotions. That thing about guys is also okay. That thing about Uno Chikai is also okay. Until now, I still feel that I’m not the same me anymore as compared with the me who still hasn’t known Uno Chikai.”

While flustered Hanabi looks down at Chikai who is by the river side, she muttered her confession. Nanpa looks at her and wonders if she just said something. Hanabi thinks that she is obviously there yet the distance is too far and her voice couldn’t reach him. Cleo sees Nanpa. She barks and is about to rush toward him but Chikai holds her leash to restrain her. Turning to look at Chikai, Cleo thinks that he’s too cruel [to do that]. Hanabi says something. She wipes her tear then walks away. Cleo barks at Chikai <- asking him why when they rarely meet and he’s too cunning since only he and Hanabi get to talk with each other. “Eh? Chikai doesn’t seem to be saying anything. Could it be for humans..what Hanabi said just now..you weren’t able to hear it?” Chikai looks away as Cleo looks above, thinking of Nanpa. While Hanabi and Nanpa are walking back, Nanpa is complaining why it became like this when they went out to play yet Hanabi doesn’t look happy which makes him feel really unsatisfied. He then looks at flustered Hanabi. Narration: “So called distance implies that one couldn’t convey to the other. It isn’t a space wherein one can mutually convey with each other..from one person to the other person..” At Alon store, Gen is fixing the display of his products outside. Sasa passes by him and calls out to him to apologize for his rudeness that time before [when he shouted that he’ll decide what to choose and not to sympathize if he is hurt by his choice]. “If I made you unhappy about it, I apologize. Please forget about it.” Sasa stops walking when Gen says that he won’t forget. “I won’t go and forget about it. But, I want you to hear out something as to what attracts and arouses me. *smiles* It’s my very beautiful wife.” Sasa looks a bit flustered as he turns to look at Gen. Walking in the school corridor, Atsumi brightly smiles at Sasa. Then, Sasa somewhat smiles before smiling brightly back at her.

Hanabi’s eyes widen as she thinks, “What did he just said? Choose [to use] you. Use you..use you..use..” [<- The ‘use’ wasn’t in the last chapter so I’m presuming that Hanabi misheard him the first time] Hanabi becomes gloomy. She angrily shouts what it meant. “What does that ‘use’ meant?!” Without turning to face her, Chikai casually says that of course it means using her just to get by. Hanabi goes into shock as she wonders if that is true. “Is it true? I’m..really stupid. *blushing and teary-eyed* Uno Chikai said those words..he told those words to me..I felt it!” [<- Ah..I think she is thinking that it is what she understood it and not what Chikai claims it to be.] Chikai then turns to look at her. She then looks away and closes her eyes. This infuriates Chikai. He starts walking backwards then asks, “How about here?” Hanabi looks at him and asks, “Huh?” Then, she turns away again and asks, “Wh..what?” Chikai becomes gloomy and angrier. He walks backwards again but hits the bushes behind him. This made Hanabi laugh as she exclaims what the heck he is doing. She looks surprised when Chikai asks, “From this distance..can you see my face clearly?” Hanabi didn’t reply. Chikai stands away from the bushes and says, “It’s too far. This so-called distance, do you know what it signifies?” Hanabi thinks, “What..? ..it is..the remote distance of the hearts?” Chikai shouts, “It means that [one] cannot do anything!” Embarrassed Hanabi exclaims in shock. Then, she thinks that it is true. She says, “What..in the end..you’re still angry because [s/he] cannot kiss, right? You’re talking about that, right? Is that thing important compared to anything else?” Chikai bluntly replies, “It’s because I’m a guy.” Hanabi goes into shock again. Chikai asks, “Is it strange? Isn’t this very normal? Thinking of ‘that person’..then, I would think of ‘being with that person’? But you don’t think that way.” Hanabi is surprised that she exclaims, “! About that..” Chikai interrupts to say, “Do you want to deny it? Then..give me proof.” With that, Chikai turns around to leave. Hanabi is left standing while wondering about that proof.

Nanpa narrates, “Look Hanabi, I’m thinking that this thing called ‘[romantic] love’ is perhaps composed of sadness and pain!” Holding a blanket, Hanabi worriedly looks at examination room 1. Hanabi mutters, “Nanpa..why..” Back to the ex-couple, Yukine looks at Chikai in surprise as Chikai’s words of ‘I already liked you’ echoes in her head. Pulling her hand back, Yukine says, “..you used the past tense..you obviously allowed Hanabi to intervene..but you are not allowing me to intervene? *Tear falling down and her head is down* Chikai, even if it is like that, why are you still nice to me? *looks up to Chikai* Otherwise, I won’t be saying these things! Because mom is hospitalized, I’m really helpless. I’m really happy that during this time, you treat me nicely. Sure enough, I still like you! ..Won’t it do even if I’ve become this honest? Won’t it also do that I like only you? Even if I obviously understand you more..I unquestionably understand you more compared to Hanabi!” To Yukine’s surprise, Chikai looks away and says, “Maybe. But that girl also really understands me— [she’s] obviously a girl who makes one annoyed [/irritated] *a bit flustered* Really makes one annoyed. *looking sad, Chikai looks at Yukine* ..I’m sorry. This kind of Yukine is what I’ve previously wanted to see.” Chikai then walks away. At the veterinarian’s clinic, Hanabi says that Nanpa just ate a piece of wood so she thinks that he should be okay. “Isn’t it a bit too exaggerated for us to bring him to the clinic over a small thing? Weren’t there also dog toys that are made of wood?” Someone probably her mother says that they don’t know if the material of that toy is safe because they totally didn’t know that Nanpa eats wood and since Nanpa ate it whole, of course, they should go to the clinic. Her mother also reprimands her for not being careful and placing that thing where Nanpa can reach it. Minato says that Hanabi put it there [within reach] earlier on. Anzu says that Nanpa is stupid and so is Hanabi. Hanabi becomes quiet as she looks sad-guiltly. Then, her phone starts ringing. She looks at it and it is Chikai who is calling. Hanabi looks flustered and wonders why he is calling. Minato tells her to go out and answer it. Hanabi remembers Chikai not answering his cellphone before. Just then, a woman comes out of the examination room and calls out the Marui family. Hanabi exclaims, okay and quickly pushes the ‘hang up’ button. Chikai looks dark and angry when he got the busy signal. In the examination room, the vet says that there are no injures on the throat and the esophagus. “It’s only a short time wherein dogs don’t feel good [=not in a good mood] and listless. But it’s alright! Soon, he’ll have it! Ha ha ha” The Marui family looks puzzled as they wonder, ‘have’, have what?, energy?

Narration: “That non-stop ringing cellphone... Uno Chikai won’t answer it... Uno Chika is not moving a muscle..” Flustered Hanabi asks, “Yukine..is it her..?” Hanabi can only think ‘why’ while the cellphone continuously rings on. [I’m not sure what Hanabi tries to do but it seems that she is hitting her lips.] Chikai calls out to her and holds her hand for her to stop. Chikai looks surprised upon seeing Hanabi crying. Hanabi thinks that this time she cannot see Chikai because of her tears. Looking away, Hanabi asks, “..why?” While thoughts of the times she is with Chikai from the time he broke up with Yukine to the time she got her kiss from him, Hanabi thinks, “From the time, I heard that Chikai ended that love affair by the river side, and then later on, irrationally, struggling, struggling, struggling until the ‘Yukine’ from his email address disappear. Kiss...” Still crying and looking away, Hanabi says, “..why..is it ‘Yukine’ again..” Chikai let go of her hand as she continues to cry. Chikai just look at her quietly. Hanabi suddenly stands up and shouts, “At least give me an explanation..idiot!” Hanabi rushes out the room as Chikai calls for her to wait. Hanabi shouts back that she won’t. Chikai is surprised when his phone starts ringing again. Chikai looks at the direction where Hanabi left then he answers his phone. “Hello, what is it?” Yukine apologizes and asks if she is disturbing him. “It’s no big deal, it is just that my mother is discharged from the hospital. I’m been calling numerous times yet no one is answering... It made me think that something had happened, sorry...Chikai?” Chikai is now bending down to the ground. Meanwhile, Hanabi is walking Nanpa away at the streets. She thinks, “Idiot Uno Chikai! What does he meant by saying ‘for you, I’m still only a guy’! That’s right, that’s right! Uno Chikai is super real~~~~~~~~’guy’! Kiss. Even if it is a bit disgusting but I still anticipated it, and feeling happy about it, is also for real! But, suddenly, there is ‘Yukine’ again! Ah-that’s right! ‘Yukine’, she’s beautiful so kissing should be no problem at all! From the looks of things, of course, ‘Yukine’ is much better! But what about me? Speaking of ‘Yukine’, [she] is also for real, always getting entangled endlessly...besides, it’s ‘Yukine’s fault..it’s Uno Chikai’s fault..it’s also my fault.” Nanpa thinks that Hanabi isn’t walking fast enough that he turns around to see what is holding her up. He sees Hanabi crying. Hanabi thinks, “If..I can be a bit more outstanding..” A passerby then says that it seems there is only one dog [referring to Cleo] now at the house.

Chikai says, “Won’t forget--” Soutarou says thanks for this year. Arashi says that thanks to them, he is really happy[/had fun]. Puzzled and happy Shinichi asks what they are saying and do they like him that much. Shinichi stands up and exclaims that this school doesn’t have division of classes [no change of section in the next school year] so they will always be together. Arashi tells Shinichi that he should just conform with the mood. Chikai says that Shinichi should be saying ‘I’ll be under your care during the second year’ type of stuff. Arashi tells Shinichi to be careful about being always like that, else the thing between him and Mii might become unpleasant [= something that will make him regret]. With hearts all over, Shinichi happily tells Arashi that regarding that, they are becoming more like a ‘married couple’. Arashi says that must be Shinichi’s own conclusion. Soutarou then asks Chikai if he has told that girl [Hanabi] that he won’t be coming to school during those free school periods. Chikai says that he did so what’s up. Arashi is puzzled then he says that maybe it is for some other thing because everyday, Hanabi has been passing by their class. Then, everyone is heading towards the gym/auditorium. Hanabi’s friends look at aghast-disgusted looking Hanabi who is using her hands to hold her eyes open. Hanabi says that she really wants to close her eyes because there are so many guys there. Kareshi says that it’s a good thing that today is the closing ceremony. Mii says that Hanabi’s face looks scary. Atsumi says that Hanabi is in ‘training/discipline’. Hanabi thinks that because of the ‘toughening exercises’ during the free school period, she thought that she had somewhat gotten used to this but in the end, it still won’t do. Looking at the blurry images of the guys, Hanabi thinks that she is obviously looking at them yet she doesn’t see or perhaps, she is obviously looking ahead but her optical nerve is rejecting it. Her eyes widen when she sees Chikai clearly up ahead among the blurry-looking guys. Chikai looks at her. Blushing Hanabi put down her hands. Chikai tells her, “Wait for me today.” This made Hanabi blush and she looks teary-eyed. As Chikai looks away, she shouts back, “Sure..!!” Her friends look surprised.

Chikai opens the door and Yukine greets him by saying that it has been a long time since they have seen each other. The door opens then closes. Chikai had come out but it seems Yukine is surprised that she wasn’t invited in. She lowers her head and stutters while saying that she tried emailing him but it won’t send so he must have changed his email. Chikai just says, ‘ah ah’. [It’s like a yes] This seems to surprise Yukine that she looks somewhat sad. She looks up and says, “..that..I already know..my shortcomings, and also..I couldn’t forget about you..about this. *looks flustered* ..is it already too late?” While looking at Yukine, Chikai says, ‘ah ah’ Yukine asks, “..because of Hanabi?” Chikai lowers his eyes and says, ‘ah ah’. Yukine replies, “..is that so..I understand..I’m sorry, for saying such strange things now..I’m sor..” She suddenly turns around and starts running. Chikai chases after her and manages to stop her by holding her arm. He asks if she is alright. Yukine says, “..alright..that is impossible..*she turns around crying* it’s impossible for me to be alright..” This surprises Chikai that Yukine manages to break free and run off. At home, Hanabi looks at Chikai’s phonebook contact on her cellphone. It turns out that Chikai changed his email from Yukine’s birthday of ‘1223’ to ‘qoo’. She is surprised when her cellphone rings. Chikai replied back that there’s no need to thank him. Hanabi holds her phone tight and blushes. Meanwhile, at the mall, Gen looks at the Atsumi and others. Atsumi seems to remember what Sasa said that if it’s ‘ordinary friends’ he feels it isn’t that. It is as if time had stopped as they all look at Gen. Gen breaks into a smile and greets, hi. He says that Gummi [like gummy bear or any soft candy; his nick for Atsumi] is also there and also *pause* those strong-looking guys. Atsumi just greets him with a ‘good work’. The two other guys greet him back. Still smiling, he waves them goodbye and left. Atsumi looks a bit flustered as Sasa looks at Gen while he leaves. A bit teary eyed Atsumi turns around to apologize to the two guys. She tells them not to mention about that matter again. The two guys then agree.

And so, Chikai turns around to see who is the other guest whom Hanabi invited. It turns out to be the school’s headmaster/principal who happily greets Hanabi while carrying a bouquet of flowers. While everyone else is exclaiming at how she could invite him, Kareshi says that there is no rule that they couldn’t invite teachers. Chikai isn’t amused at all. He somewhat lowers his head and mutters, “What, it’s just the headmaster. How boring.” The headmaster asks Chikai isn’t he too cruel to say, how boring. Chikai just tells him not to cry [about it]. Hanabi continues to blush while looking at him. She wonders what this euphoric feeling she feels. Atsumi then offers her two plump guests to some curry with rice. They happily praised Atsumi’s curry that its sweetness and the spiciness are balance that it can make one want to have some more. Atsumi gladly offers them more. The two look at Atsumi’s smiling face and it made them blush. While the two are eating gregariously, the other male guests begin to envy them and think that curry seems to be really delicious. It made the other female student-hosts angry. =P A narration says that the era of just hooking a guy with a ‘skillfully done meat-potato stew’ is long gone. Masato tells Kareshi that all of the dishes are delicious. His friend tells Masato that he has hooked up with a good wife. Shinichi tells Mii that her roasted fish cake is really delicious and she is a real master of making exquisite food. The other guest couldn’t even eat it. ^^; Mii says that it’s quite hard [tough to eat]. Meanwhile, Hanabi is currently under attacked by ‘euphoric feelings’ [from thinking that Chikai seems to be jealous a while ago]. Her food consists of chicken drumsticks, soup with a doodle made of cream [Cleo for Chikai and the headmaster’s face for the headmaster] and some other entree which seems to be some hors d'oeuvre/appetizers. Flustered Hanabi happily asks, “How’s the taste! Is it salty? Is it bland? Ah, there is still a lot of soup which I’m keeping warm at that side!” She stops when Chikai looks at her and tells her that she’s too HIGH and she should quiet down a bit and let them eat. Hanabi did quiet down as she thinks, “But! You were the one who made me this happy! --Doesn’t he know? No..even if he knows, it’s the same because he is that kind of person. Because..it will be White Day soon.” She remembers him telling her that there is now a small distance between them.

Flashback: Hanabi told Chikai that she likes him. Chikai pulled her head to him to hug her and smiled. “Like this will do, stupid Hanakou.” End flashback. Narration: “The meaning of that sentence he said, could it also mean that..I can say that I like him. But that hug..hug..” While blushing really red and shaking, she tells Nanpa, “Does it also mean..” Nanpa is surprised when Hanabi falls on the ground. She is thinking, “The sakura [cherry blossoms] are blooming?!! (and it’s unexpectedly early) Because! Because! Because! If he doesn’t like me then he won’t hug me, right?!” Chikai looks down on her and asks if she wants to be ‘reheated’ [go back to sleep in a warm bed] but then, she’s quite wild to go to sleep there on the ground. Hanabi stands up and starts patting her clothes to remove the dirt. Hanabi exclaims that it isn’t so. “I’m not waiting for you! Because you said you’ll come.” She thinks that if she thought about it carefully, it could only mean that there is love since he is fetching her again. While Chikai is patting Nanpa, he tells her that he wishes her injury will heal up soon so that he can freely spend his mornings again and he still have to carry her bag. Hanabi thinks, “Is it really just that, sakura..?” At school, Hanabi wonders if it is just her imagination that the sakura are blooming. She asks herself if she is becoming conceited or is it that she just doesn’t understand Chikai.

Nanpa narrates that even if humans make mistakes, even if they aren’t honest, even if they tend to make things complicated, but when they realize it, later on, they will once again do their best. Nanpa is still looking towards the direction where Chidori and Rino went. Hanabi calls out to him to quickly come since they are going home. At a ramen store, Kareshi asks Masato why he is there because she is currently working. Kareshi’s boss tells her that it is okay since there are no customers right now. Masato looks flustered. Kareshi’s phone then rings. Yusuke tells her that they can’t find Rino. Their mother is currently looking for Rino around the area. Ryousuke has told them that he had seen Rino with a young lady. At the streets, Masato is calling someone and says that he can’t contact that person. Kareshi says that it seems that Masato has a clue who it is..could it be. Masato looks at her and says yes, it could be Chidori. Kareshi cries out how he could say that. She shouts that he’s awful for suddenly doubting the girl he likes. Kareshi is surprised-blushed when Masato shouts that the one he likes is Kareshi. He pulls her hand and shouts that they should quickly go. Kareshi is crying as she kept on calling him awful as Masato says that she’s right. They go to Chidori’s place. Masato hits the door and says that Chidori isn’t there since with the noise that they made, at least Rino ought to have made a sound. Kareshi mutters that maybe it is a situation, wherein Rino can’t make a sound. The two are flustered. Masato decides to call Chidori again. Being pessimistic, Kareshi says that Chidori definitely won’t answer it since he had called more than ten times already. To Kareshi’s surprise, Chidori did answer as Masato asks Chidori where she is right now.

After Hanabi said, “Why...is Uno Chikai here?”, Chikai turns around and asks, “---..huh?” At the shopping mall, at some seats near the escalator, Sasa asks Atsumi if she knew everything since before. Atsumi says she did. Atsumi blushes when Sasa said that he feels that she is really awesome. [For being able to keep the secret?] Still forcing himself to smile, Sasa tells her, “Do not worry, I’m alright! Originally...I totally didn’t expect it to progress, and I never thought of conveying my feelings to him. It’s like after putting down the saved treasure box, one can’t get the treasure anymore!” Flustered, Atsumi says, “The one who is ‘awesome’ is Sasa-kun..for being able to still smile like that it’s really..‘awesome’! You’re amazing, Sasa-kun.” Sasa looks at her in surprise as Atsumi is a bit teary eyed. Sasa seems to break down a bit that Atsumi starts to bawling out loud, “I want to hug you--! I want to hug you and that should make you feel better...” This made Sasa smile and laugh. At Ami’s knitting store, Ami is talking with her husband, Gengen-chan, then she asks why he sounds so down. [I think the boss is younger than Ami.] Gengen tells her he is, a little bit but then how did she know. Ami angrily tells him that it is thanks to love and age. Gengen tells her that he has hurt someone [Sasa]. Ami says if that is so, then he should go apologize. Gengen says yes but aren’t there times wherein if one apologizes, the other party would be more hurt. Back at the park, Chikai asks Hanabi what she meant by what she said. He angrily pulls her scarf and says that isn’t he there because he is helping her carry her bag. Hanabi shouts that she didn’t mean why he is there right now but rather, what happened earlier. Thinking of Sasa, Atsumi and Kareshi, she says, “Perhaps one wasn’t able to convey [couldn’t reach the other person], perhaps the original thing, that one is suppose to convey has changed that one unable to convey it. So like that...other people’s hurt also makes me feel really hurt[/upset].”

*Crash* Chikai falls down along with some bento boxes. Hanabi is also on the floor. Chikai sits up and angrily calls Hanabi stupid for suddenly coming out when he could have landed safely on his own. He is still going to reprimand her when his expression softens upon seeing Hanabi in pain as she mutters that it hurts. She is pointing to her hand which Chikai seemed to have pinned down upon falling. Just then, a teacher comes in and asks what happened. After seeing Hanabi, the teacher tells her to go to the clinic. Later on, the teacher comments that Hanabi’s cooking is exceptionally good. While putting the food in the bento box, Chikai grumbles why he has to do this. The teacher who is washing the dishes laughs and says that he’s Hanabi’s boyfriend, so he should do this kind of thing when his girlfriend is injured. The teacher tells him that Hanabi fervently begged her to lend that place to her. Chikai just says that is basically Hanabi’s nature to give it all of her best, that idiot. Walking at the hallway, Hanabi looks at her bandaged left hand. She decides to email Chikai. She says that he was the one who helped her tidy up after the ‘accident’, thanks, she just came from the clinic and it’s a sprain. Outside the building, doing some woodwork, Chikai got her message. To Hanabi’s surprise, he wrote, “Idiot.” She thinks that it’s too short. Hanabi repeats her thanks and tells him that today, they are going to Kareshi’s house so they can’t go home together after school today. From the building above, Hanabi shows Chikai her bandaged hand. Chikai just ‘mouths’, idiot. Hanabi happily smiles at him as Chikai had answered her in email, is that so. Hanabi thinks that for her, this injury is like a medal. [Hehe, she is such a M[asochist] ^^;;]

While holding hands, Hanabi happily pulls Chikai to see some other animal in zoo. She thinks that slowly but surely, she’ll increase her presence in his heart but then, she doesn’t have the luxury of time to do it very slowly because there is a time limit. She wonders how much she actually weighs in Chikai’s heart because before White Day, it is already less than a month. After work, Masato and Chidori walk home. Chidori asks if he isn’t going to see his girlfriend tonight. Masato says that he isn’t because she is definitely tired from work. Chidori comments that could be the reason why Kareshi gave her Valentine’s gift in the morning. Chidori happily smiles that the two of them [M&K] mutually think of each other. Masato somewhat sadly smiles and says that there are areas wherein they don’t mutually agree on. Chidori starts to frown when Masato says that he had proposed earlier to Kareshi and of course, they’ll marry after ‘graduation’. “In the end, she just told me that I’m ‘naive'. Ah, I also know the reason is that she has to think of her family. But it totally feels..like our feelings for each other has grown cold..so I’m very embarrassed and I won’t dare continue to talk more about it..and from then on, we never touched that topic again..” Suddenly Chidori grabs his collar and pulls him to her. She gives him a kiss on the lips. Holding on to him, Chidori says, “..If..you are with me, perhaps you’ll be happier?” Chidori looks at stunned Masato. She apologizes and tells him to just forget that. She waves goodbye and leaves, leaving still stunned and blushing Masato. Kareshi is holding the heart pompom that teacher Mei has given her. Mei has given everyone different colored hearts before and she said that everyone has chosen their own color. Kareshi checks the meaning of the color violet. It means ‘paralysis/numbness’. Kareshi wonders if she did something wrong. There is a narration about one cannot afford to do things leisurely.

Hanabi’s mother begs Chikai, “Can you? Please, go steady with Hanabi!” No reaction from Chikai. Hanabi is sweating profusely and thinks, “What is she saying—” Hanabi shouts for her mother not to say anymore. Hanabi’s father tells his wife that this is too presumptuous. Hanabi’s mother snaps at him that this is regarding his daughter’s life. [like, for her future] This made the father hug Nanpa and mope. ^^; With a pleading look, Hanabi’s mother says, “Is it okay? What do you think, Chikai-kun?” Hanabi’s sisters who are blushing a bit hope that they will have a handsome brother-in-law. Chikai says, “Ah..” Hanabi covers her ears and think that the answer is too obvious and she can’t believe that she will be rejected in front of her parents. She should be used to this because she had repeated in her mind all sorts of rejection lines that Chikai would tell her. Chikai says, “Then--Sure.” Hanabi uncovers her ears and looks surprised. [Idiom for make the best after a mistake] Chikai turns around to face her and tells her that even he can’t just casually lie in front of other people’s family. “So, how about we be like this (temporarily)?” Hanabi is surprised and mutters, “Temporarily?” Chikai says, “As boyfriend-girlfriend temporarily. If you want to be a real boyfriend-girlfriend, then you should make me have an idea of wanting to ‘kiss’ you.”

Hanabi is surprised when Chikai bows down and says “I’m sorry” to Mii. Chikai stands up again and says, “--..because I can’t do it. You should continue on focusing on Oyama [Shinichi].” Mii mutters why everyone is like that as if they are making some sort of mistake. She angrily kicks the garbage and scatters the pieces of paper all around. Hanabi and friends are shock while the other boys are happily looking at Mii because of the ‘panty shot’. Mii angrily shouts what’s up with that. “Why is it like I’m rejected when I obviously haven’t even confessed?! I..” Shinichi quickly goes over and stands in front of Mii. He exclaims at Chikai about what he is doing with his Mii. Chikai wonders why Shinichi is thinking that he did something to Mii. To everyone’s shock, Mii pulls Shinichi to her and kisses him on the cheek. Holding deflated Shinichi, Mii tells everyone, “And that’s..how it is!” Mii looks both ways then looks down as she remembers Mei/Ami warning her that one day everyone would leave her. Mii says in a soft voice, “..So..Hanabi..afterwards, let’s get along with each other.” Everyone bends with hands on the ears to hear what Mii is saying. Hanabi is flustered. Before Mii leaves, Hanabi shouts, “Of course, we will!” Ami looks at Hanabi from behind. She smiles and says that girls should aim high. Hanabi thinks that she cannot accept things that she can’t understand but then, it is because she doesn’t understand so she can’t accept it. A guy calls out to everyone to clean things up. Hanabi panics when a guy tries to help her with something. She just nervous thanks him. She wonders if this is good. She remembers what Ami said earlier about not understanding some things but still knowing the truth of things. Hanabi thinks that even if she isn’t an expert with guys but she can accept everyone a bit. She laments that it is because she isn’t very fair and considerate. [Okay, based on this, I guess Hanabi is still a bit hesitant about Chikai even if everything is okay now because he is a guy. Maybe about all those cannot understand stuff is about she cannot really understand why she likes him when she is scared of guys which is also something she can’t really understand why. Yet, in reality, she does know what she feels and somewhat understand what it means - why she likes Chikai among all the other guys.]

Hanabi cannot believe that Mii called her a love idiot. She shouts to Mii that is too much. Mii exclaims isn’t it so for she already said it yet Hanabi still randomly think about other things so Hanabi really is a love idiot. Hanabi exclaims that Mii just said it again. Mii says that she thinks that it is better to let go off of that guy rather than for her friendship with her becomes troublesome. Hanabi innocently asks if she can let go. Hanabi remembers telling Chika that she’s going to let him go. She thinks that if it is her, she can’t. This made Mii angry since Hanabi is asking that question. Mii tells her that it isn’t zero - what she feels for Chikai is currently ‘this’ much. She gestures using her hand. Hanabi’s thoughts are confirmed but Mii tells her that she likes ‘glasses’ this much. It is bigger than Chika’s. Everyone is surprised as Mii says, “Luminasi— ‘Glasses’ can give me what I want and give me what I don’t want. That’s how it is. Geez—so troublesome!” Mii goes up the stairs and the others follow her. They didn’t notice that Luminasi Mei is eavesdropping on them. Mei mutters that there is progress. Walking at the open hallway, Mei exclaims that her fortunetelling is quite effective. She passes by Chikai and Shinichi who are walking the opposite way. Chikai comments that kind of fragrance/ makes him want to hug her. Shinichi exclaims he’s quite vulgar. [Ah, the ‘hug’ word can also mean ‘have sex’] While eating, Hanabi wonders if she really just doesn’t understand it. She wonders if she is Mii and that happened [saying wanting to let go] and the other party is Shinichi, would things be the same. She begins to feel sick as she gloomily tries to think about guys = dislike. Her brain goes blank because she cannot even imagine other guys. She wonders what’s wrong with her. She wonders if Mii chooses this easy way out because she doesn’t like trouble. She wonders if even one knows one’s feelings, one can still do it that way. Later on, Atsumi tells Hanabi that, for Hanabi, if she likes something, she likes and if she hates something, she hates. Hanabi exclaim, perhaps but then, she is wavering a bit regarding this matter. Atsumi tells her that right now, they should work since their products are going to be sold out soon. Hanabi looks ill and says yes. She is currently surrounded by guys. Hanabi freaks out as she tries to avoid the guys around her who were busy selling their products.

Walking home while holding hands, Masato is about to tell something to Kareshi but when she smiles and asks, yes? He seems to have changed the topic and just asks if she is going to buy something since there is a special sale on that day. At the hospital, Shinichi has removed his glasses and is about to touch Mii. Mii looks surprised by this. To Shinichi’s surprise, Mii quickly presses the nurse call and asks for help. Shinichi panics and quickly tells the nurse that everything is okay and he is quite alive and energetic. Shinichi sighs in relief. Mii asks if he can only think of such a nonsense method to make her forget. She angrily shouts, “You should have some strong point that only you would have, stupid glasses!” She quickly leaves, leaving Shinichi blushing and a bit sad. [Hehe, Shinichi actually doesn’t look bad without his glasses =P ] He realizes that Mii has not yet totally forgotten about Chikai as she claims. At the penthouse, after being asked if she is going to give up, Hanabi removes the blanket from them and says that she can’t give up. Hanabi thinks that those words just slid out of her tongue and it is already a feeling that one cannot just give up just by saying it. Then, Atsumi is walking home. She takes out the Pinky candy that Hanabi probably gave her. She puts some on her hand then blushes upon seeing that the heart shape candies. Soon, it is the Nanayo store opening. There are many people coming to the school to buy their items. In their booth, Hanabi tries to help welcome the customers but ends up feeling aghast because of the male students, who belong to her group, are beside her while they sell their products. Atsumi just tells Hanabi to just concentrate on selling the goods because the customers are all attracted to the other side. At the booth beside theirs, Mii is dressed up as a princess. The older ladies are amused by her and want to take a picture. They are also interested with the other guy – Chikai in pirate costume. Some rude guy tries to get between the girls who are admiring Chikai to take a picture of Mii. Chikai tells them not to fight over taking a picture. He also tells the people who are taking pictures to buy something from their store.

After telling Mii about Shinichi's accident, Hanabi is surprised when Mii asked 'Who is that?'. Hanabi thinks that those are such cold words for Mii to say. Atsumi and Kareshi are puzzled as to what is happening between the two. Kareshi asks Hanabi if they are hiding something from them. Mii tells them that there is no need to ask Hanabi since she won't say it and she'll be just hard-pressed again. “I..used to like Uno Chikai.” This surprises the two and Hanabi looks a little flustered. At the hospital, Shinichi is visited by his friends. Arashi ends up laughing as to how did Shinichi ended that way. Shinichi has a little bandage on his head and he is wearing a knitted/bandage cap. Shinichi shouts that this is no laughing matter for how about they try getting a handful of their hair cut off. He exclaims that it hurts and there is even some blood. Chikai says that one shouldn't faint because of that. Shinichi angrily shouts back that he is so troubled that is why he fainted. He then says that it seems because he is jealous of Chikai that he dreamed of Chikai become 'specially cool'. He is referring to Chikai carrying unconscious Shinichi. To Shinichi's shock, Chikai and other tell him that is reality – it really did happen. They were interrupted when Hanabi calls out to them that she's there. Hanabi is feeling ill because there are many guys there. Shinichi is surprised as to how did Hanabi know. Chikai says that he was the one who informed her. Then, Hanabi pulls Mii inside the room. Shinichi is happy to see Mii. While walking home, Atsumi asks Kareshi if Mii nicely went to the hospital. Kareshi says yes though.. Atsumi says that she totally didn't notice it. Kareshi agrees with her. Atsumi wonders between Hanabi and Mii, who fell in love with Uno Chikai first. Kareshi says that in her opinion, it has nothing to do with that but rather, to what degree does one like the other party. Atsumi looks a bit sad yet didn't say anything.

During lunch, Atsumi is happily eating while crying about wanting to be happy. Hanabi tells her not to talk while eating. A girl asks what happened with Atsumi. Kareshi just tell her that Atsumi isn’t feeling well. Atsumi says that since the person she likes doesn’t have her happiness, she is going to give up. She urges her friends to eat in celebration of the new Atsumi. They make a toast with bread. Meanwhile, a couple of girls are walking together with Chikai to get some requirements for their project but Chikai doesn’t want to go. They insist that he should since they are grouped together. Chikai uses two fingers to slap their hands from grabbing his coat and smiles while telling them to keep their distance. The two girls are really happy about this and it seems that they are M. ^^; Holding the papers, Chikai says that he will be the one who’ll bring it to the others. In section I-B, Chikai tells a guy that is their group’s product and requirements. The other guy tell him that he will talk with others on how to make that product and will just give it to them when they are finished. The guy then asks Chikai what he thinks about the latest gossip regarding Sasa. Sasa is in that classroom. Chikai didn’t know it so the other guy whispers that Sasa is a gay. The other guy is shock that Chikai is quite calm about it as if it is no big deal. The guy tells Chikai about a girl named Hanabi, who was good friends with Sasa, went there this morning. Chikai is a bit surprised that Hanabi went there. Just then, Sasa’s friend is telling Sasa that Hanabi must absolutely like Sasa that she tries to protect him. Sasa tries to say that it isn’t true then he sees Chikai. The guy with Chikai looks away. To Sasa’s surprise, Chikai greets him with a hi. Chikai is a puzzled that Sasa didn’t reply back. After a pause, Sasa greets him back.
