The One [Chapter 110] -Fin-

Freaking out Andre tells Eros that it wasn’t deliberate. Picking up the fallen sandwich, Eros tells him that it is alright, even if he is unwilling but he still thanks him. Andre insists that it wasn’t deliberate. He is shock that Eros is about to take a bite on the sandwich. Andre shouts that there is some sand on it. Eros tells him that it is good to have food, and one shouldn’t put it to waste. While Andre is screaming that he is really going to eat that, Lele appears and slaps the sandwich away. She shouts for him not to eat that anymore. She says that didn’t he break away from that kind of life already and must he still be like that. She tearfully asks if he is making her angry to death. Eros asks why she is crying, don’t cry.. Lele shouts that she isn’t crying and she won’t cry because of him again. With that, she runs back in the house. Inside, Lele curses and says that Eros is definitely intentionally doing that for he obviously knew that she couldn’t bear the most seeing him like that. Andre asks if she still feels heartache over Eros. Lele didn’t reply. Realizing that there is forever no way for them to start [being together], Andre tells her to go and don’t sulk again. He urges her to talk with Eros. Lele is moved and she goes out to find that Eros is gone. And, she runs off to look for him. Andre thinks that even if he is frustrated to let her go like this but he is at his happiest to see her happily smiling. He hopes that she does her best to get her love back. Later on, Fei Hong immediately came back upon learning that Eros has appeared. She asks Andre if Lele went out to chase after Eros. She curses for being unexpectedly late. Andre apologizes to her for not being able to capture Lele’s heart. Fei Hong says that she doesn’t blame him and who told Lele to be stubborn and letting go of him, a ‘prize catch’ since she doesn’t know how to eat him. Andre is speechless over that. She asks him why he is tidying up his luggage. Andre says that it would be better for him to stay at a hotel in case the two made up and come back together, and it would be very awkward if he is still there. While looking for Eros, Lele is worried since he doesn’t have anything on him and can he go far after not eating for 2-3 days. While catching her breath, she finds herself at the park and recalls the time when they are together there when he is still a bum. She goes to the benches and finds Eros there. He turns to look at her. She tearfully calls him a big dolt, and gives him a hug. She exclaims that he’s truly awful and why does he deliberately made her heart ache. Eros says that it wasn’t deliberate and it is because she made that food for him so.. She asks how come he just left without any word. Eros says that it is because she is very angry and he doesn’t want to provoke her to anger anymore. He is thinking that maybe it is better if he left her for a while, so that she can cool down a bit.

The One [Chapter 109]

And, Eros is flying in the airplane. He recalls crying Angus saying that he remembered and Angus kept on apologizing. Recalling how Taylor, Berry, Angus and An Bai tell Eros to get Lele back, Eros thinks that finally, there’s no need to worry about Angus. It turns out that when he lost his memory, it has temporarily taken away Angus’ pain and hatred. It caused his twisted spirit to be restored at its purest state wherein he sees and believes that the people beside him love him. So now, Eros can now be totally at ease. Meanwhile, it is big news that Glenn came to hold a fashion season[?] in Taiwan. At a restaurant, Glenn meets up with Lele. Glenn says that it has been many years but he finally got on this trip. Lele tells him that it is because he is a perfectionist that there should be no little bit flaw that this kept on being postponed. Giving her an okay sign, Glenn says that the clothes, the entire season’s theme, and the whole working team are all re-positioned..[everything is] perfect! The only constant is Lele would be responsible for the opening and the finale [of the fashion show, I presume]. “Are you ready, my goddess?” Lele beams and says, “Of course!” At the magazine stand, Eros reads on Lele and Andre’s fashion show which states that they are passionately in love. The picture of their kiss is also there. While walking with Lele, Andre is playing around with Xiao Yu. Lele tells him that he’s spoiling her [Xiao Yu] rotten. Andre says that this kid should be spoiled. Lele says that every time he comes, he buys her a toy, and spend a lot of time to play with her so she’ll be quite miserable when he goes back..at least crying for a week. Andre laughs and says that it is inevitable for who made their Little Lele so cute. Lele exclaims that she’s called Xiao Yu. Andre says that he likes calling her Little Lele. From the bushes, jealous Eros is stalking them. At her apartment, Lele is relieved that Xiao Yu has fallen asleep. She tells Andre that she’ll carry her to bed and good job on accompanying Xiao Yu and let her play with him the whole day. Andre says that it’s no problem and does she always stay with her. Lele says pretty much for there is always a few days in a month when Xiao Yu stays because her aunt and her husband are workaholic that even if there is a nanny in the morning, there are times when they have to stay up all night working so they bring Xiao Yu to her place. Andre says that no wonder she is becoming more and more like a ‘good wife and loving mother’ and the way she carries Xiao Yu is quite gentle. “All the more I want to bring take you home for my wife! I really want to know what kind of expression you’ll have when you carry our child.” Lele scolds him that his brain fast-forwarded way too ahead. Andre tells her to quickly answer him then, whether or not, she’ll go steady with him. Lele looks flustered.

The One [Chapter 108]

Angus touches An Bai’s chest and says she has already been protecting her heart for such a long time. She is staying at his side without asking anything in return or perhaps, security but what can she get. Doesn’t she feel frustrated for wasting so much time? He doesn’t know how terrible he was before but during these two years, he is quite content. He mentions something about some beautiful female characters falling for him and he would politely refuse. He holds An Bai’s hands and asks if she knows why, well, it is because he doesn’t want to see her hurt and sad. This made An Bai think that they had been together these past two years yet she didn’t notice that Angus has changed, those truly gentle eyes, he is no longer the Angus of before. Angus urges her to take risks and even if she gets hurt, she has him with her. And, blushing An Bai kisses with Angus. Back inside, Eros tells Taylor that he has messed up for always thinking that Lele would always unconditionally be devoted to him so he thought that it is inevitable that he firmly believed that she should wait for him, but then, making her wait indefinitely is too cruel. Taylor asks if she wanted to break up with him. Eros says yes. Taylor asks won’t he try to get her back. He says that she won’t answer his calls again and actually, what can he still tell her since he had chosen to take care of Angus and has already cast her aside. Lele also has a very good future career prospect and actually, she isn’t obliged to waste time on him. Just then, Angus and An Bai enter the house and overhear Taylor who holds Eros’s shoulder and telling him that he truly sacrificed too much for Angus. This made Angus asks if they are hiding something from him. He asks who Eros’ girlfriend is and what happened that Taylor would say that Eros sacrificed too much for him. Angus tells her that he believes that she knows and would she tell him. A bit tense, An Bai tells him not to think too much for Eros had a famous girlfriend model before but they break up and made up so many times, and it isn’t because of him. Feidna is a vain woman, and because of ‘flying up a branch to become a phoenix’ [= it is an idiom about trying to hook with rich/famous men to improve one’s status], she has cast away Eros so many times. So after something happened to Angus, Eros brought him to this place to recuperate and of course, it is impossible for Feidna to give up her career and come along..so naturally, they break up.

The One [Chapter 107]

While walking, Wheeler comments that he didn’t know that his father is quite sentimental for why would he invest a lot in Angus, and it isn’t his style not to ask for any payback. Ulysses says that it is possible that it is because Angus makes his heart ache for he is almost at the same age as Wheeler and his life has a lot of pain [I think, the scan is cut off] and those are the things that a young person should not experience. Wheeler asks how come he didn’t acknowledge him for they can be friends. Ulysses says that there’s no benefit for Angus in knowing someone like him and given his status and background, that would just constantly remind Angus of his previous life so right now, this is okay. He says that if possible, he hopes that Angus would forever not remember. Ulysses thinks that he is the only one who knows that a part of his blood flows in Angus, which he used to save him [blood transfusion] and like this, he’ll use his own way to make Angus remember him throughout his life. This made Angus suddenly turn around to look back. Then, Angus is happy over how bright his room looks now with all the mirrors taken away and it feels quite comfortable. Eros narrates that this room is like Angus’ heart cage and at first, he thought it is because Angus is a narcissist but it turns out that it is a place where he confines himself since the inverted image on the mirror is him [Eros], so it is his safety zone, the world that he wants, and it appears that something is quietly changing. Angus says that aren’t they moving to the province [/rural area] so why waste money in fixing this. Eros tells him that this is his house and aren’t they coming back, unless he wants to stay at the ranch throughout his life. Angus excitedly asks if there are a lot of horses at Taylor’s ranch. While packing, Eros tells him all about it. Eros has told Angus that after their mother died, he went to find some work and ends up at Taylor’s place. Taylor specially cared for both of them and after a lot of years, he is like a father. And, it won’t be long when they’ll have a new life. While Angus is sleeping, Eros looks at Lele’s picture on his cellphone and wonders how she is doing. Meanwhile, Fei Hong asks Lele how long is she going to stare at her cellphone, and if she really wants to know about the situation, why don’t she call him. Lele refuses to bother Eros after learning from Leo what had happened so far to Young and Angus. Her aunt tells her that it is almost a month since that happened, Angus is discharged from the hospital and he should be contacting her. Her aunt says that she did the right thing in forcing her to come back for she [Lele] basically couldn’t be compared above his younger brother and it will be hard for her to be with him so right now, she should sever..

The One [Chapter 106]

Cover page: “Officially entering the final arc!” An Bai brings Angus to his house. She tells him that this is his flat which he didn’t return to for a long time. Angus says that it is quite high class and it seems that he is doing well in the modeling world. Then Angus exclaims what’s up with this room. An Bai tells him that it is his bedroom. Angus exclaims in shock for it is all in black. An Bai explains that is how he wanted the designer to do it. Angus exclaims why there are mirrors on the wall, is he some sort of narcissist. Sweatdropping An Bai tells him that he is in way that there’s no other person who can be called number one to him. Suddenly, Angus doesn’t feel well that he tells An Bai that he doesn’t want to stay there. He asks An Bai to bring him out. At the hospital, Young tells Eros that it is only an accident and he doesn’t blame Angus for it so there’s no need for Eros to mind him too much for it is already great that he’s still alive. Actually, Young already felt quite happy and he’ll never forget that Angus cried for him. When Angus tearfully called his name, Young felt that for a moment he had opened up his heart. For the first time in this world, there is someone who didn’t asked something in return to love him and perhaps, he cannot be the last person who can warm up Angus’ heart but he believes that he had already knock open a part of the iceberg. Young is also at ease that even if there is no him in Angus’ future memories because he believes that Angus already has the ability to become happy. While An Bai walks with Angus, some women recognize him and ask for his autograph. An Bai has forgotten to make him wear sunglasses before going out. But, Angus gamely signs the autographs. Later on, An Bai brings out three bound books regarding Angus’ modeling history since he wanted to know more about it. It contains all the data that An Bai collected. She shows him his first advertisement poster at the beach. She tells him that the original model wasn’t him for he is just having a beach vacation but the photographer thinks that he is a natural so took some shots of him. The top honchos of the magazine saw it that they took out the original model and used Angus’ pictures instead and that poster became his debut. She heard that the magazine sales were a success and for a month, the streets of New York are filled with his face. Angus is quite happy over that kind of debut and no wonder that him had a lot of mirrors in his room and is a narcissist.

The One [Chapter 105]

Crying Lele says that she thought that it is good for Angus to know the truth but she didn’t know that his mind is already fragile that it would collapse on a single blow. There is a scene of Eros standing by the rain as Angus cried on their mother’s tomb asking if he was the one who forced her into the edge of self-destruction. Lele tells flustered Young if she didn’t mention it and let Eros kept it all a secret, this everything wouldn’t have happened. She wonders if Eros also blames her for it that these past three years, he didn’t sent any news to her. Three years ago in New York, Angus is running in the rain. He recalled asking Eros what he is hiding from him and what was that Lele referring to that he must face. Eros admitted to him that their mother went crazy and died. She forgot about herself and him [Eros] for she couldn’t handle the pain being betrayed by the person she loves and losing Angus. Taylor had also told him that what Eros experienced won’t lose to Angus for when he found Eros, he was drugged to the point where he is longer like a person anymore. Angus screamed and hit the ground with his fist. He cried and thought that Eros would definitely not forgive him for he had always thought of him but he only stripped Eros off his happiness. He is a thoroughly rotten person. No one would love him again, and he doesn’t have any place to go. Soon, he is drinking in bars. A glasses guy tried to tell him that he’s drinking too much but Angus shouted for him to go away. He wobbly walked into the dance floor and Young noticed him. A guy with friends called out to Angus and asked how about relaxing with them. He told him that he got some good stuff. Young nervously followed them. Soon, in a room, the guy was making a move on Angus while the others are going high on drugs. Young banged the door and shouted that the police had arrived. Leaving Angus, the guys quickly headed out of the room. Young called out to Angus who called Young being meddlesome. Young tried to stop him from going somewhere when he is really drunk and he cannot just let him be when he’s like that. Angus shouted if he wanted to be defiled by him. Young shouted that it doesn’t matter what he says, he won’t let him go. Angus told him that he’ll regret that. Soon, Angus is driving the car really fast. Sitting beside him, Young thought that he is quite close to Angus tonight so he won’t regret it. When Angus is at his loneliest and most desperate, he let him be at his side. Young touched his arm and said that he’ll go together with him wherever he goes. Angus recalled when Young said that he can die for him. Angus thought that this guy is crazy. And a truck is moving fast at the other side of the road. [If I’m not mistaken] Angus drives the car straight for the truck. Upon impact, the car flies off. Young is halfway off the side window.

Free Talk: About The One 105 [Edit: Spoilers!]

Icy_Chrisy has already notified the readers in baidu that she is currently on a business trip so there’s no way for her to upload The One immediately. So be patient and it will be uploaded after a few days, maybe after Monday.

The One [Chapter 104]

Andre returns back to the hospital only to find a note left by Lele. Lele apologizes to Andre and says that she needs to talk with Eros so please don’t tell her aunt, she’ll immediately come back. And, Lele spent the night with Eros. It is morning. They brush their teeth together and had breakfast together. After he finished eating, Eros tells her to go. Lele is flustered that he is coldly making her go. As Lele walks out, she glances at him and thinks/mutters he is a miser that he won’t even give her a warm memory and if she knew this early on, she should have went straight to Taiwan with her aunt and not give him the opportunity to say goodbye. Eros asks what she is muttering. Lele blurts out that she’ll wait for him at a maximum of one year and after a year, she doesn’t care if he hasn’t finished dealing with it or not, he should go get her. Pointing at him, Lele threatens that if he doesn’t, she would immediately find a guy who is 100 times cool[/handsome] eight-pack[abs] guy and viciously dump him. “I’ll do what I’ll say!” Eros smiles and it made Lele think that’s right, that kind of smile is what she wants to remember. Holding her face, Eros says that he also guarantee her that if she dares becoming unfaithful, no matter how many packs[abs] that guy has, he has a way to make him disappear from the surface of the earth, so she better remember that. He pats her buttocks and tells her to hurry or else, her aunt is going to come and kill. Then, there is a knock on the door. Eros sweatdrops that he was just mentioning and then it’s here. He tells Lele to open the door. To their surprise, it is happy Angus who wants to tell him something..and the smile vanishes upon seeing Lele. Angus says that it is too bad that her injury isn’t serious that she already got out of the hospital. Eros pulls Lele behind him and shouts at Angus that he isn’t allowed to say that for no matter what, it is wrong to hurt people and Lele didn’t do anything wrong. He has already told him that he’s his most important younger brother and this doesn’t change because of someone or something. Angus doesn’t believe him because he is currently lecturing him because of Lele. Angus insists that she cannot be believed for she is just like Mandy so don’t protect her by saying that he’s sick and is that what Eros calls most important younger brother. Eros sadly asks what he should do to make him believe. Angus tells him to thoroughly abandon Lele. He wants a world with only him and Eros, where they totally belong to each other and he’ll be safe and fine. He had enough of this messed up life for no one treat him like a ‘person’. He is like a toy being passed around from one person to the next. He lived as if he is a prince in a castle but he lived lower than anyone else.

The One [Chapter 103]

[Free Talk: Sorry for the slight delay because I’m not feeling too well since last night. Orz. Going back to rest now..]

Recalling what Angus told his twin, Ulysses thinks that Angus is really itching to leave him. After taking a bath, Angus looks at the mirror. Touching the image and kissing it, he says that it will be soon when they can be together forever. “Good night, my most beloved Yin.” Somewhere else, brimming with killer chi, Fei Hong is going to where Eros is to ‘chat’. Worried over what she’ll do, Shang went with her. In his hotel apartment, Eros gives ‘auntie’ a drink that Fei Hong angrily asks if he’s calling her auntie. Eros apologizes and asks how he should call her. They sweatdrop when Fei Hong insist on ‘Hong-sis’. Fei Hong is frustrated for no wonder Lele has fallen for him because he has good looks and calm temperament. She asks him how long they have been going steady. Eros says that officially, it is about a year. Fei Hong is shock that Lele managed to hide it from her for a year. She tries to calm herself down that Lele is already grown up and she’s pure/innocent so she won’t do any foolish thing. Fei Hong tries to ask if their relationship isn’t that deep for a year isn’t too long. To her shock, Eros tells her that they already know each other that there are no secrets and they love each other. She asks if that means her foolish Lele has already given him everything and they had.. Fei Hong goes berserk and wants to kill him that Shang has to hold her back and tell Eros to quickly escape. Fei Hong starts crying over Eros possessing her Lele whom she watched grow up. She also cries that Lele didn’t tell her this important thing. Eros tells her that it isn’t so for he believes that Lele really cares for her because she is her one and only relative in this world. Lele is still looking for the opportunity to mention it because his situation is quite complicated and she might not be that secured over this feeling. Eros assures her that he is absolutely serious and he isn’t playing around with Lele so Fei Hong can be at ease about that. He says that he tried his best to leave her but in the end, he has no way of leaving her. Fei Hong tells him that she has heard about him and Lele a few days ago and they are totally [from?] two worlds and what would a person like him get from Lele. Eros says that he only needs to stay at her side for she can calm down his inner heart’s restlessness and uneasiness. He tells her that it has been a long time he didn’t felt this calm. His violent past won’t stop re-surfacing that he cannot properly eat nor sleep.

The One [Chapter 102]

Together with Taylor, Leo cannot believe that Eros is just going to leave like that. He tells him not to mind what Andre said. Eros sadly says that what Andre said is right for everything is his fault for he shouldn’t have put Lele into that kind of danger. Angus’ problems had accumulated for a long time but he always didn’t seriously deal with it for he didn’t think that it was that serious. It is because of his neglect that this had happened and he has no right to stay at her side. Leo calls out to leaving Eros if he thinks of leaving Lele. Eros says that right now, he doesn’t know what he should do so temporarily, he’ll leave it up to them to take care of her. Andre watches over sleeping Lele. And, Ulysses watches over sleeping Angus. Eros goes in the room and asks what’s up with Angus. At the living room, Eros says that Angus has been staying with him so didn’t he think anything is wrong. Ulysses says that he knows that he really cares about Eros but he didn’t think that it is up to.. and no wonder lately, he wanted his freedom. Eros asks about this freedom that Ulysses tries to dismiss it. Eros says that their going steady is doing well so how come he has to control his freedom. Nervous that Eros didn’t know about his and Angus agreement, Ulysses lies by saying that he is quite possessive so he doesn’t like Angus going outside and meeting some dubious people. Ulysses becomes more nervous when Eros asks if it includes him and now that he thinks of it, he wasn’t able to see Angus since he returned from Sweden to New York and it is because of Ulysses but then, he [Eros] owes him thanks for without his help, he cannot get out of the duke’s grasp. He asks if Ulysses is also..really likes Angus that he is willing to sacrifice and even help him [Eros]. Ulysses says that their plight is tragic and he hates Gustav for a long time. Ulysses thinks that he isn’t that great for he only used Angus’ feelings to blackmail [him] and if Eros knew the truth, he won’t be grateful to him. Ulysses tells him that he truly likes Angus but because of what happened today, he thoroughly knows that he forever cannot go in Angus’ heart for his heart is bonded by the nightmare of the past and it is only Eros who can save and redeem him. And, even if he doesn’t know what Angus is thinking, but his attachment to Eros has already reached an abnormal state and if this goes on, it would be very dangerous but of course, he absolutely won’t leave him at this time. His feelings for Angus haven’t changed and on contrary, he loves him more dearly but compared to both of them, he thinks that Angus needs a psychiatrist.

The One [Chapter 101]

Angus had threatened Lele to leave Eros and go to him. Lele holds up her hand to touch Angus’ face. She asks him to not to be like this for the Angus she knows, even if he likes to tease her, had never truly hurt her and she really believed this. She asks him not to make her afraid of him and she also wants him to be her cherished person. Angus loosens his grip. To his surprise, she quickly hugs him. She tells her not to be angry at her like that for she doesn’t like him like that. And about that connection she mentioned, it is true for she hasn’t forgotten that their hearts connected since they were both sad in that snowy cemetery. She still remembers his lonely and helpless eyes. She regrets that she wasn’t able to do anything for him since their time together is quite few. Touching his eyes, she tells him that she wants to drive away that loneliness and pain. She wants to remove that mask and he would have that pure smile. She kisses him. Angus wonders if those tears are for him. Angus hugs her back. While kissing, Lele opens her eyes and looks at the side. She sees the oar. She tries to reach for it but Angus grabs her hand. Angus asks her if she really thinks of him as a fool. He grabs the oar from her. Angus tells her that since 13 years old, he knew that women cannot be trusted and he thought that that it is possible that the one whom Eros had an eye on isn’t the same but this is the proof. There’s no difference between her and those high society hypocrite whores. Lying and acting, someone like her doesn’t have the right to be with Eros. With that, Angus hits Lele’s head with the oar. Andre drops his binoculars and shouts for Lele. As blood flows from her forehead, unconsciously Lele falls down into the water. Andre quickly runs and jumps into the water. He swims and sees Angus darkly glaring at him. Andre dives in, grabs Lele and surfaces up with her. He notices that Angus is already rowing away from them. Andre angrily shouts if he isn’t human, don’t run away, murderer. As Andre swims with unconscious Lele, he tells her to hold on, he’ll immediately bring her to the hospital. Angus has already gotten off the boat. He looks at Andre with Lele, swimming. He sits down and watches. He turns around to see Eros and the other arriving. He smiles and says that they’ve come. Eros angrily grabs his collar and shouts what he did and where is Lele. Angus points at the side. While Taylor and Leo hold on to unconscious Lele, Andre catches his breath and tells them to quickly rush her to the hospital for she lost a lot of blood. Eros looks aghast. Angus coldly smiles and tells him that he only taught her a lesson. He holds Eros’ brother hand and tells him that she’s not worthy of his worry and he is only testing her a bit.

The One [Chapter 100]

Congratulations for The One had reached its 100th chapter. Special interview with Nicky Lee. [I’ll just write the main idea:]

Q1: What do you feel regarding your long series, ‘The One’, reaching chapter 100? 

A1: 100 is a good number, so happy. This is the longest story that I’ve written and the one that really put my endurance to the test. At that time, I’ve experienced laziness but to be able to keep on drawing until now, it’s really a celebration [of success]! I think it is the love for the characters that supported me, and of course, the readers’ support that I was able to continue on drawing. I’m really grateful from my heart!! 

Q2: Do you have any characters that you specially like? 

A2: My favorite is naturally the main characters, Lele and Yin. After all, I’ve been in contact with them for a longer period of time! (laugh) Yin pretty much satisfies my male fantasy. (After all, in real life, there is no such person?) Lele has the courage that I don’t have! There are things that I would want to learn from her! Aside from them, I also like Leo! While drawing him, I feel this special relaxing happiness! (laugh) 

Q3: After Lele’s road to become a model, whether her casual clothes or fashion clothes, it’s quite astonishing. Where did you get your inspiration? 

A3: At the start of the story, I’ve watched a lot of fashion shows and magazines. Regarding any fashion style that I like that has left a deep impression [on me], I will draw it in accordance to what I like and re-design the style to fit[/suit] the drawn character’s clothes. For example, more than half of Lele’s clothes have the concept of being surrounded with butterflies, crown, flowers, when I design them! I hope to bring out the feeling of romantic and gorgeous look. 

Q4: Andre had expressed his feelings for Lele, and it can be said, it is to become a true man. Later on, will there be a chance to see him as a man, a very man[ly] Andre? 

A4: I hope that I can draw up to that stage, so let us all anticipate it together! (laugh) 

Q5: What can we anticipate in the plot later on, or your plans for it? 

A5: Later on, I hope that I would be able to handle well the twins and Lele’s love dispute~ This is actually quite troublesome! Haha.. --||| 

[Q6 seems to be something about Nicky’s previous series, Youth Gone Wild, regarding some confession and she said something about starting to write it but it didn’t progress as she wanted and hopes everyone anticipate it.] 

Q7: These two years, sensei had participated in a different manga exhibit in France, what’s her experience in these two exhibits and what she thinks of it? 

A7: The Europe market is more diverse! I also feel that the manga there is livelier and more independent! There are exhibits that can be seen everywhere. Too bad that because of the language, I couldn’t understand the French stage dialog. But I really like the mood of the whole town that is lively celebrating the manga/comic festival. And, I hope that one day Taiwan will also have this kind of mood. Of course, I also anticipate that our manga can get into the market there. This time, I’m very happy to truly meet my manga readers [face-to-face]. But in the end, they saw my manga through the internet. The One [Chapter 99]

And, Lele is so happy..so very happy that she felt the world is truly very beautiful. It turns out that she is very happy because Andre confessed to her. Eros teases her for being pitiful that she is happy up to this extent just because of a confession and the people who were after her before are quite few. Lele angrily protests that it is because she didn’t give them a chance. Holding the picture of ‘Angus’ whom Lele has fallen in love with, Eros asks if it is because from the start, her heart belonged to this guy. Lele exclaims that didn’t he throw it away. He tells her that he got an original print from Marshall. He finally admits to her that he was the one in the picture. Angus got sick then so he helped him out with the work. Eros decides to tell her more about Angus. Angus couldn’t free himself from the duke[/their father]’s control. Even if he ran away to New York, he was found and continued to be threaten him by saying that he’ll harm Eros to force him to go back. Angus would quietly submit and deceive him that he is going on a trip. With this unbearable life, Angus start to have fall apart to the point of thinking that things will be resolved if he disappears. Then, he tried hurting himself with a shard of glass [<- slash his wrist]. It is only then Eros learned of how Angus has been living. This self-mutilation had an effect that the duke left them alone for 1-2 years. But for Angus, perhaps after living that abnormal life for such a long time, he always felt unsafe. He closed himself up and won’t let anyone enter his heart except for Eros. Afterwards, he noticed that Angus has this extraordinary possessiveness towards him. Eros tells Lele that is what he’s worried about so Angus might not easily accept her. Lele assures him to relax, she’ll definitely get along with him and she had a pleasant experience working with him before. Before, he also had Feidna and it seems that Angus didn’t quite like her, but she didn’t see Angus putting all his effort to hinder them.. Eros tells her that it isn’t the same because Feidna isn’t a threat to Angus. She isn’t his destined person, unlike her.. She isn’t the same with the other girls whom he had gone steady with before and Angus can see through this. This made Lele tease him that for him to say things up to that extent, is this his first love? And, he turns out to be quite ‘pure and innocent’. Not noticing his twin eavesdropping behind a tree, embarrassed Eros tells her to shut up. Lele continues to tease Eros that he may be experienced but actually, he doesn’t quite understand about love. Eros angrily asks for her wallet. He puts the ‘Angus’ picture in her wallet. He tells her that he threw it away before because he didn’t want her to get too close to him and he hoped that she won’t be infatuated with the person in the picture but right now, he already got her and he won’t let her go again. This picture will help her remember from time to time that she belongs to him. He hugs her and tells her that if she dares throw it away[/lose it], she’s dead meat.

The One [Chapter 98]

While on the runaway horse, Lele screams. Eros catches up and tells her to give her hand to him. After two hours, everyone at the set is silently worried. Leo is the only one screaming about being worried about Lele. Eros arrives back on the horse with Lele clinging on him. They rush to Lele and Leo scolds her for not telling them that she’s scared of horses. Lele apologizes. Eros suggests to the director to make the model rest after having such a fright. The director agrees. Lele tries to protest so Eros let go off her and she couldn’t even stand straight. Leo exclaims over what happened to his bloodied left arm. He tells her that after someone jumps to him from the runaway horse, that person kept on screaming and crying..then use her all might to bite him. Lele screams in denial but apparently she had temporarily forgotten about it. Everyone goes back to the hotel early to rest. In his room, Eros looks at the bite mark. After calming down, Lele recalls what happened about biting him. Flashback: Eros tried to calm her down and tell her that horses aren’t scary. Then, Lele recklessly bit him. He comforts her again about not letting her die, he’ll protect her no matter what, and she will forever safe at his side. End flashback. Lele wonders how she is going to apologize. Ding-dong, she goes to his room. She gives him some ointment [Tiger balm] for his wound. Eros comments that it is more for headache and foot ache. Thinking that he didn’t remember that he used it on him before in Japan, Lele tells her that it is a ‘Jack of all Trades’. Eros tells her that since she caused it, she put it on him. While putting the balm on him, Eros asks if she is venting her anger when he bit him. Lele says that she is finished. Then, she starts to leave. Eros grabs her arm and asks that shouldn’t they talk. He tells her that he knows that she is angry for not trusting her and admitting things to her but at least, listen to his reason for it when it isn’t easy for him to summon the courage.. Lele turns to look at him. He tells her that he couldn’t tell her about the Mandy thing because he isn’t completely innocent. He explains about being ordered to get close to Mandy and pretend as Angus, her plaything. Lele must have already thought over that so she’s angry. She must think that he is under the control of drugs and cannot act freely but actually, like them, he did a despicable thing. The other half of the story that she didn’t know is as revenge, he got someone to take pictures[/CD] of their private meeting, send it to Mandy’s husband to destroy her marriage and for the duke to be severed from his powerful support. [Eros mentions ‘duke’ and never ‘father’] He became an all-out vengeful devil and at that time, for Angus and him, he won’t hesitate to kill if he must. It is then he realized that he has the blood of that person and he isn’t meek. He is scared of himself regarding that part of him. He deeply fears that maybe one day, he’ll hurt her like what that person did to his mother, since she is pure and he isn’t.

The One [Chapter 97]

[Free Talk: While pitas is still down until who knows when, I’ll temporarily put here some of the stuff from pitas like the ‘updates’ and the ‘tagboard’ to make the ‘pitas readers’ more at home =P]

The photography team found a new odds job guy and because he is quite capable, everyone is asking him for help. A man is exclaiming over how Yin can also fix a certain type of equipment. He tells him that he used to work behind the scenes so this is just a small case for him. In less than half a day, the team already acknowledges Yin. Leo taps Yin and happily asks a favor. Holding up his leg, Leo says that his high heel shoes are filled with sand so could he fix it up. Taylor joins in by asking him to massage his back because he is tormented during that long airplane flight. Irked Eros asks them if they are going to help him or be a hindrance. Leo says that this is a rare opportunity of a lifetime to order Eros around so can’t he enjoy it a bit. Taylor agrees. Leo asks if Eros doesn’t want to. Eros asks if he wants to die. Leo starts screaming that Yin looks similar with supermodel Angus. Eros has no choice but to shout that he’ll help young master Leo with his shoes. =P Soon, it is dinner time. Yin is giving out lunch boxes to everyone. Eros tells them that Spain’s seafood is really amazing so everyone enjoy. Lele opens her lunch box. To Andre and the photographer’s surprise, Lele got more shrimps and chicken and it is quite unfair. [I think Eros served them paella ^^] Andre pities the photographer so he gave some of his chicken to him. Lele glances at Eros and wonders if he is the one who added more food to her. Eros notices her that Lele quickly looks away. She hears some [fan]girls wanting to sit beside Yin. After praising him, they ask him why he kept on wearing sunglasses and surely, he is good-looking. Yin just says that he is very ordinary looking and he is wearing sunglasses because he is shy. Lele feels like puking for he is obviously lying that he even dared kiss her in the airport. Having a tantrum, Lele gives her shrimps and chicken to Andre then starts drinking a bottle of wine straight. Andre tries to stop her for she will get drunk but it is too late. She is drunk and starts dancing silly. She jumps on the photographer and invites him to dance with her. Just when the photographer agrees, Yin quickly grabs her off and tells the photographer that there is work early in the morning so go rest after eating. The photographer couldn’t refuse so he can only wave goodbye and tell Yin to get Lele back to her room. Lele starts hitting Yin and shouts that she doesn’t want him to bring her back. She jumps on to Andre and wants Andre to bring her back. Leo and Taylor sweatdrop as Andre leaves with Lele. They become tense over Eros since Andre would be more charmed[?].

Lele and Glenn look at crying Feidna. Charging towards Lele, Feidna shouts that it is all Lele’s fault. Feidna slaps Lele and shouts that she is going to ruthlessly teach her a lesson. Just before Feidna is about to hit Lele again, Glenn quickly holds Feidna’s hand and tells her that is enough. He shouts that he knows about her misdeeds like being drunk these past few days, hurting a small-time model, and the news about losing an important spokesperson[for the brand]. He exclaims for her to quit being an embarrassment and this isn’t the Feidna he knows. Even if she is his ‘trusted officer’, he also won’t allow her to act recklessly. Feidna asks if he also thinks that she has changed. She tearfully says that person [Eros] also said that when obviously, the ones who’ve changed are them. Ever since Lele appeared, their attention were taken by Lele. Glenn’s most creative work is given to Lele and also, Eros..the one who said that he’ll forever take care of her, he unexpectedly will thoroughly server his relationship with her because of Lele. She grabs Lele and starts crying over what right Lele has to take her place. To Feidna’s surprise, Lele grabs her hand off her. Lele grabs Feidna’s hair and starts dragging her off to the side. Lele pushes her on the wall and shouts that no one took her place away. “Wake up you immature, childish brat!” Lele shouts that Eros already treated her with his X and that’s great, but she is fickle who leaves when she wants to leave, and comes when she wants to come, changing guys who had earlier dumped her. Because Eros’ pardons[/leniency with] her like a family member, so she got him again. It is her willfulness that has driven him away and it has nothing to do at all with her [Lele] appearing. “Even if I’m not around, he would also, sooner or later, cannot take your selfishness anymore and leave you!” Lele scolds her not to keep binding Eros just because they have the same past. His heart pains for her but that doesn’t mean that he ought to treat her well unconditionally. Lele tells her that she had always treated her as a respectable senpai but the her today really disappoints her [Lele]. Gesturing a thumbs down, Lele shouts that the Fire Goddess in her heart has become like this <- thumbs down. Before leaving, Lele shouts to Feidna if she wants to take back what she used to have, then learn to seriously work hard for it. “Don’t let the people who already treated you well to look down on you!!” Feidna remembers Eros telling her that no matter how headstrong[willfulness] she was before, but he always believe that she should keep her original sincerity. He has never been so disappointed in her for she had teamed up with Mandy to trick Lele and that took away his last trust on her. This made Feidna sob bitterly.

One week after, Lele goes to see Glenn and Andre [formerly Anji; the author wrote his English name] and asks if they are doing well. The two angrily shout where she has gone to, just disappearing after the show. She sheepishly tells them that she thinks that it is no big deal so she went for a trip. To her surprise, Andre exclaims that she had caused such a ruckus. She is called ‘Scarlet Satan’ and ‘Smiling Goddess’ in the fashion industry. Lele couldn’t believe it that Andre gives her an album of some pictures taken of them backstage. He says that they are getting along well. Lele easily made him laugh and her smile is infectious. Andre admits that it was Lele who leads the mood of the shooting that the other staff likes her more. Then, Lele laughs over a picture wherein Andre looks handsome. Andre happily holds her hand and asks if she really thinks that he’s handsome. Soon, posters of her show juxtaposed with a shot of her behind the scenes are all over the city. The title is ‘He is a She’. It is Glenn’s latest autumn-winter fashion advertisement. In the streets, Andre comments over how amazing Glenn is to think of this. He took advantage of Lele smiling as something new in the fashion industry wherein models usually look cold. This widens up their modeling paths. Lele doesn’t want to take the credit for herself and says that it is because she is just happily working with the friend she likes. Andre is already happy for being called a friend Lele likes. Lele thinks of wanting to immediately go to work, and leave this city where Eros is currently is..the farther away, the better. While walking, Angus notices a poster of Lele. He attributes her success because she had work together with him. Then, his phone rings. It is Eros who asks where he is, has he forgotten to give him a call because he is too happy with Ulysses. He asks if everything is okay. Angus is teary-eyed. He scolds Eros for being an idiot for he obviously called him so many times already. A note says that Eros has been too busy sobering himself from the drugs and being in love. Eros sheepishly says is that so. Angus asks how come Eros is calling him. Eros says that he is feeling down. Angus asks if he has been dumped by a girl again. There is no answer so Angus exclaims if Feidna has been two-timing again. Eros says that it isn’t her. Angus says that is right, for he hasn’t seen Eros feeling hurt because of Feidna. Then, Angus realizes something..since it isn’t Feidna.. He shouts if Eros got a new girlfriend.

Feidna calls Mandy and asks how the situation at her side is. Mandy says that everything went according to plan. Feidna will show the pictures to Lele and in the end, she will immediately go to where Eros is. And, Mandy will make Lele see that ‘I can’t part with you’ scene. Mandy says that Feidna is right, if they narrate things in detail to Lele, she will perhaps be very shock but she would most probably understand and forgive Eros for everything. If they use this way to make her think that Eros has betrayed her, she will be hurt deeper. She comments that it isn’t hard to break the trust to make Eros lose Lele. Lele arrives home. Just when Anji is asking her where she went, he is horrified to see her awful expression. Lele immediately hugs on to Anji and starts crying. She asks Anji to let her hug and cry on him for a while for she needs some supporting strength. Anji thinks that upon saying that, Lele recklessly sobs out loud. And it is a hurtful cry which he has never seen before. And, his shoulder is getting wet from her tears. Outside her house, Eros looks out the window and wonders what Lele’s message is about - if he has forgotten to tell her something about what happened in Sweden. He wonders if she knows something but he dismisses it because their [his and Mandy] relationship wasn’t publicized and Mandy couldn’t have known of Lele’s existence. Yet, he wonders why Mandy would suddenly try to entangle him at this time. Mandy was telling him that she knew that they were twins and he acted like that because of his father but it doesn’t matter to her, Angus didn’t give that feeling to her and she really loves Eros. Eros thinks that it is all a coincidence. He wants to confess everything to Lele right now but it isn’t easy for him to summon up the courage. And, tomorrow is her very important day so he cannot just disturb her at this time. “I hope that you’ll sleep well, my love! I will always be here to watch over you..” Flashback: While fishing, young Anji asked his father how he fell in love with his mother. His father told him that when he knew his mother, she is hotheaded, confused, coward and yet unexpectedly have a sense of justice to aid those who are suffering. And what’s amazing is she never loses at a quarrel. Anji asked if that is true. His father laughed and it is too bad that she lost to him. Because she lost face, she sobbed loudly.

Angus strips off his shirt and asks Ulysses if he likes the show. Ulysses asks what he is doing. Starting to take off his pants, Angus asks that doesn’t he want to play it more excitingly and for today, he can touch whatever he wants. Ulysses quickly stops Angus and shouts if he thinks of himself as a male prostitute. Angus claims that he is and of all people, Ulysses ought to know that. Looking aghast, Ulysses quickly grabs his shoulders [and pushes him on the wall?]. Ulysses shouts if this is his way of paying him back and towards the good that he did to him, Angus thought that everything is just an exchange for his body. He exclaims if in Angus’ eyes, he is like his father and those other despicable people. Angus calmly asks why he is so angry. He knows that Ulysses isn’t the same as the others. He only wants to give Ulysses what he wants and it is something that he can afford to give. Flustered Ulysses asks Angus if he knows what he wants. Then, Ulysses pulls Angus and shouts that he’s going with him. And, Ulysses brings him to the Eiffel Tower. Angus shouts why he brought him there. Ulysses asks if he has seen the night light show of the Eiffel Tower. There are some lovers there. Ulysses says that he had passed by the place a few days ago and he always wanted to go there with him. He wanted to date him there like lovers - going where lovers want to go, eating together, chatting, strolling or perhaps like right now, looking at the night scene together. “There’s no need for you to pay me back something, just naturally be with me. Is this request so hard?” Looking up, Angus says that the tower’s night lights are very beautiful. When he was working there before, he passed by it and he didn’t stand to view it at this angle. During the day, watching it from far away, it feels ice-cold and a beautiful blur but standing below it right now, it feels safe. And that is the feeling that Ulysses gives him. Angus admits that at first, he thought that Ulysses is like his father and during the short time that they are together, he felt safe while beside him. And, in this world, except for Eros and his mother, he trusted no one else. It is quite unexpected that he felt that way. To Ulysses’ dismay, Angus says, “But, it is still isn’t love.” He doesn’t know what love is for throughout his life, he never had that feeling. Angus thinks that he knows that there is gap in his life and only one person can fill it, except for Eros, he doesn’t need anyone else. Angus says that is why he said ‘don’t have any expectation from me’.

While Eros is caressing her, Lele remembers this smell, warmth and hug. Yes, she understands, she will comply with his wishes. Just when she is getting ready to kiss him, Eros suddenly pulls her away. Wondering if Lele’s disguise is a copy of him, Eros praises her that this isn’t bad for she seems more like a man, and as a guy, he felt that she is a bit cool[/handsome]. Patting her shoulders, Eros tells her to keep it up and from today on, he’ll treat her as if they are ‘brothers’. He also tells her to properly go and make those women in the fashion show, swoon over her coolness. Lele is freaking out over being called a ‘brother’ that she doesn’t know if she ought to be happy or sad about that. To her surprise, Eros thanks her for letting him borrow the bathroom and he’s leaving. He smiles and tells her that in order for her to concentrate on that, he won’t appear again in the meantime. Lele is shock that Eros just left. Crying Lele is humiliated that she had easily yield to Eros upon seeing his naked body. She thinks that Eros is definitely laughing at her. Swearing that she’ll remember this, Lele will one day reverse the situation and make him totally serve[/acknowledge] her at her feet. Somewhere else, Mandy is looking at some magazines from half a year ago. Angus doesn’t have any wound. Flashback: Mandy asked ‘Angus’ about the wound. ‘Angus’ told her that some years ago in New York, he had provoked to anger some old woman that he almost lost his life. End flashback. Mandy had realized that she was deceived by some other guy. She says that she had been led in circles by some complete stranger to the point of losing everything. She recognized him as [fashion] director Eros, the older twin. Looking at the picture of Eros and Feidna in a magazine, Mandy swears to definitely return twice the humiliation and pain that he brought on to her. Back at the apartment, Lele felt satisfied over doodling and writing names on Eros’ photo. Upon arriving, Anji exclaims what she is doing. Lele goes into manly mode and greets him back. Then, Lele helps him change his shoes before they go to eat. Anji comments that it made him think that they are like prince and princess. Lele says that until they go on stage, he is her only princess. Lele thinks that she is so manly. Anji wishes that this isn’t just a job and if she doesn’t mind being a man, he can also always act like a woman.
