Free Talk: About Kimi ni Todoke's last two chapters

KnT 只想告訴你 [Chapter 121]

Sawako is reading a note, ‘Sadako, sorry, I’m wrong. Forgive me. Classmate’. Sawako’s father comes in the room and offers to help her. Packing a box, Sawako says that there’s no need. He insists but she keeps on refusing.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 120]

At the store, Shouta faces off with his father. Shouta is startled when his father suddenly stands up and shouts, “Apartment! Go find an apartment!!” Outside, Sawako calls out to Shouta and congratulates him for passing. He exclaims that she specially came out after seeing his text!? “I’m so happy!! Thank you!!!”

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 119]

Shouta gives Sawako a notebook with a title ‘The Legend of Sadako’. He tells her that it is from Chigusa. Sawako blushes after taking the notebook. Kent is exclaiming about the chibi doll of himself that Sawako made. He asks Shouta to let him see his.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 118]

Shouta and Sawako text each other, ‘Let’s do our best together’. Then, at some college testing site, Sawako and Ume are taking an exam. At the station, the two girls tell each other that the exams are over. Ume tells Sawako that they go see the list of passers together. Sawako says yes. Ume holds out her pinkie finger.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 117]

Pin looks at Ayane and says, “...you...” And, he starts sneezing loudly. He shouts for her to quickly close the door or he’ll catch a cold since he just took a bath. “It’s cold to death.” Ayane apologizes. After Ayane goes inside, Pin says that he is drying his hair.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 116]

[Free talk: I’m surprised that this is out so the Chinese group is continuing it after all? Maybe they just laid low for a while due to the licensing? Anyway, after this, I’ll work on KOT 60.]

Narration: “January, it is now the start of the unified national college exams.” Shouta’s mother calls out if he already got his exam permit. Shouta shouts that he has it and he’s going! Everyone else is getting ready for the exams. Sawako’s mother tells her to be careful on her way and gambatte♡

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 115]

Ding dong. The door opens. Holding a decorated box while looking downwards, Sawako’s father nervously says that it is lucky that Sawako is always taken care of by them and he wishes them a Happy New Year. “I’ve come to fetch Sawako!! My daughter had caused you trouble...”

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 114]

Before heading out of the room, Shouta’s mother tells Shouta that she is going to sleep now so by all means, do not... Looking flustered and serious, Shouta tells her to please believe in him and good night. He immediately closes the door which surprises his mother.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 113]

It’s December 31, New Year’s Eve. Chizuru happily calls Ayane on the phone. She asks if she has plans for New Year, and will she go!! To Chizuru’s shock, Ayane says that she probably won’t go since it is night and there are a lot of people. She doesn’t want to get sick.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 112]

In class, Pin is telling everyone that today is the closing ceremony so starting tomorrow, it would be their last winter vacation. He reminds them that today is the 24th, the closing ceremony and not Christmas Eve! Even if there are people who have already decided on their aspirations [/career] or those haven’t yet, but in short, they cannot catch a cold.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 111]

The mock exam results are out. With a B, Ume’s grades went up. With a C, Ayane thinks that it is the first time she reached this grade. At the courtyard, Shouta happily tells Sawako that he got B. Sawako exclaims that’s great and he did his best.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 110]

Sawako calls out to Shouta and says that there is something that she wants to ask of him. Shouta asks what it is. She asks him if they can go out somewhere. Narration: “..one day, please give me your one day’s time.”

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 109]

After Shouta’s father enters the hospital room, his wife sits up and calls out to him if he came to bring the new change of clothes. Shouta’s father is just silent. To her surprise, her husband isn’t carrying anything.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 108]

Narration: “In the previous first high school summer vacation, when I recall those memories, all of them are Kazehaya-kun. Whether it is winter vacation or even summer vacation, if I unexpectedly weren’t able to see him, no matter what I also cannot stop myself from thinking of the person I like..”

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 107]

Ume had asked Sawako to go to the Normal University with her. She tells Sawako that she doesn’t have this kind of thinking wherein she wants to split them up, nor forgetting everything that happened in the past to get along with her. Sawako says, ya. Then, she nods. After that, Ume goes on her way.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 106]

Flashback: Looking at Sawako, Ume thought that Sawako puts her in a bad mood. She’s a hindrance and can she just disappear. End Flashback. At Sawako’s house, during dinner, her parents greet the girls ‘good work’[/otsukaresama] for studying.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 105]

Sawako tells Shouta that her parents always told her that she can act spoiled [/be pampered]. They ask her to depend on them and asked her to let them pamper her but she always felt that doing that will let them down so she was startled when she noticed that Shouta is pampering her yet she feels very happy. Shouta recalled her telling him that for him to say that makes her really happy. He stops walking so Sawako turns around. Shouta tells her not to go. This surprised Sawako. Shouta continues to say that in the end, he cannot say out those words to her. He tells her to ponder on it and choose but if she actually really wanted to go yet stayed behind because of him then he absolutely won’t agree to it! He absolutely doesn’t want her to do that kind of thing for it is unlike of her [to do so]. Sawako thinks that even if she said that she’s going to think of it but actually, has Shouta seen through her real way of thinking earlier on? That is, she wants to go to Normal University. Shouta says that he always thought that way but he never thought that even if they part, it is also an ‘indifferent’[/doesn’t matter?] idea. Reality is always not the same as one hoped for but actually, he wanted to become like Sawako. This surprises Sawako.

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 104]

And, it is already summer vacation. Shouta and Sawako can only stare at their cellphones. They didn’t make any special promise. Sawako thinks that even if she really wants to contact him but what should she say. Shouta thinks that there is no special issue..but then, no, it isn’t really so since they haven’t finished the conversation before. They both think that speaking of that, what should they say, or it can be said, is the other still angry.. Thinking that the other is angry, they immediately call each other for this is no good, they cannot let this go on. Toot- toot- it’s a busy tone. Then, they look at their cellphone to see that they had a missed call from each other. Shouta immediately calls back. Sawako is startled by the ring. She answers it but to her shock, she accidentally pressed the hang up button. Shouta is aghast for his call was rejected. Then, he shouts in fright when his father suddenly calls out to him. It seems that his father came to bring him a drink. He shouts for his father not to casually come in. This father says that those who are up to something will say that kind of words and he is definitely pretending to study but actually he is sneakily contacting his girl. It is really shocking that only his mouth is putting effort. This infuriates Shouta. And, on cue, his cellphone starts ringing. His father asks what is it. It is definitely Sawako so answer it!

Kimi ni Todoke [Chapter 103]

While holding each other’s hands, Sawako says that she’ll properly think about the college issue. He says okay and that it is definitely not at all such a complicated thing. He assures her that it is alright for she is always deciding on it for her own. Holding her hand tighter, he says that it is also no problem even if she’s by herself. This surprises her. He tells her that if she feels uneasy then it is okay for her to say it out. She smiles and says yes..that’s right.. She wonders if this is really not quite a complicated thing, and if she feels uneasy? She looks at him and asks how come based on the tone of his voice, this thing has already been decided. She tells him that this is very complicated and it isn’t simple at all. “Do you think that I should go to Normal University..?” Shouta becomes flustered and quiet. Then, he says that it is because didn’t she already decided on it. This surprises Sawako that she asks why and she is just about to confront.. Shouta says that she looks like she really wants to go so she is concentrating that much with her studies. As she tries to explain, Shouta lets go of her hand and says that he thinks that it is good for her to decide on her own. To his surprise, Sawako exclaims so she’s saying that she still haven’t decided!!
