After being rejected and still going back to the house together, I felt very humiliated and very embarrassed that it made me cry even harder.” The next morning, Anna finishes up tying her necktie and says, “Okay..!” She looks at her flustered face on the mirror. Narration: “After painfully crying, I thought for the whole night. I don’t like ‘bringing trouble on myself’. *walking downstairs* Seeing those crybaby girls, I would think that these cheap people should die for trying to stand out [by making oneself look pitiful]. *flashback: Anna groaned when the girl tearfully told her friend that her boyfriend unexpectedly..and her friend would immediately say that’s quite mean* I don’t want to become like them.” She opens the door and happily calls out, “Good morning, Tatsuo-san.” Reading the newspaper and preparing to drink his hot coffee, surprised Tatsuo greets her back. He asks her to give him another cup of coffee. Anna says okay and she pours him a cup. She smells it and says that it is quite fragrant. Removing his glasses, Tatsuo asks what is it..it’s great that she is in a good spirits. “I’ll also be at ea[se]..” He wasn’t able to finish because Anna suddenly slams the coffee cup on the table. This surprises Tatsuo. Anna asks, “How can I be in a good spirits? I did cry and cry but then, I have also realized something. Even if you are father’s friend, I also still like you. *Tatsuo nervously looks at her in disbelief* Right now, even if you used ‘because you’re the child of my friend’ to hold me back, despite that you look at me as a 16 year old girl, - but I guarantee you that I would make you fall head over heels in love with me that you can’t help it.” Tatsuo blushes a bit and looks nervous. Narration: “In the end, what kind of girl does Tatsuo-san likes? *thinking in class* He is passive[/inactive] as I’ve imagined so I ought to take the initiative to make an attack.. After Anna asked him what this feeling is, she clings on to surprised Tatsuo. He starts patting Anna’s head and tells her that he has nothing to tell her so get off him. Anna clings on to him tighter. He tells her not to keep on clinging as if she won’t let go. Anna says she won’t [let go]. Tatsuo shouts what she means that she won’t, shut up and let go. Anna keeps on protests that she doesn’t want to. Tatsuo manages to push her off him and tells her that he told her to let him go. He is surprised to see Anna’s flustered blushing face. She covers her face and tells him not to look at her face. Tatsuo just says, ah yes. Tatsuo wonders what that is, and she even told him to ‘please tell me’. While covering her face with his shirt, Anna thinks that it is quite awkward for she had suddenly kissed him so what kind of expression should she have. Tatsuo’s expression softens. To her surprise, he holds her ear and starts to lightly touch it. While he kept on touching it, they were interrupted when the door bell rings. Tatsuo snaps out of it and wonders who it is so late at night. After he goes out, Anna wonders what that was just now, for she didn’t expect that Tatsuo would suddenly make the move. “And what if the door bell didn’t rang, what would have become of the current us..” While going to the door, Tatsuo sweatdrops and wonders what he is doing. He tells himself not to do that even for a second because in the end, he is older than her by 24 years. Tatsuo is surprised when it is a young man who greets him a good evening at the door. Tatsuo asks if he is Anna’s classmate and what’s up so late at night. Takumi apologizes for he just passed by after his work and he wants to return something that Anna left. “Even if I could give it to her at school, but I also want to see Tatsuo-san.” While Tatsuo is thinking that this tea-colored haired guy with a ‘dragging way’ of talking is a ‘present day youth’ no matter how he sees it. It made him realize that Anna is still 16 years old since he is Anna’s classmate. Takumi holds a flower-designed hair elastic. After taking it, Tatsuo recognizes it as Anna’s hair accessory when they ate out before. He tells this to Takumi and asks him how come he has this. Takumi says that it is because Anna spent the night at his house and she forgot to take it with her. “It is already night when I’ve noticed it on the pillow-” Surprised Tatsuo asks what his name is. Takumi happily says that he is Shigeru, Anna’s childhood friend. At the living room, Anna thinks that fundamentally, she already ought to have gotten used to this but how come her heart is beating really fast. When Tatsuo opens the door, Anna greets him welcome back. Tatsuo says that he’s back. He sits down on the sofa beside her and starts to removes his coat. Anna is surprised for she thought that he would definitely run away from her to some other place but he would unexpectedly sit beside her.. After removing his watch, Tatsuo looks at her and tells her that they should continue where they left off. Anna is surprised when he suddenly kisses her including French ones. Anna couldn’t believe that he took the initiative to kiss her but why all of a sudden, but it felt quite good..

So, will continue on living together with him progress smoothly!?” Flashback of Tatsuo telling Anna that it is a woman’s instinct to be seduced by the man whose scent she likes thus she would want to make love with him. Narration: “It is said that among the human’s five senses, it is the sense of smell that is most primeval. Smell directly controls feelings and instinct.” The doorbell is continuously ringing. Takumi calls out that he’s coming. He wonders who it is since it’s already late at night. He opens the door and is surprised to see pouting Anna. He asks what happened for didn’t she went to eat out with Tatsuo. She didn’t answer his question. Starting to remove her shoes, she tells him that she’ll be intruding and where’s auntie[/no blood relation]. Takumi tells her that his mother is going on a straight night shift today. To Takumi’s surprise, she tells him that it is good timing so let her stay there for a while. Then, her cellphone is ringing. She angrily looks at it and complains that it is annoying for he kept on calling. “It can’t be helped-” She pushes the answer button and hold the cellphone away from her. Tatsuo shouts, “You blockhead!! *people around him are glancing at him* Where did you run off to while I was paying the bill!!” Anna tells him that she is at a childhood friend’s house. He exclaims, ha. Anna says that tonight, she is going to stay there so he can go home ahead. Tatsuo asks, “Childhood friend.. You’re not lying are you?” Anna tells him that it is the child of the next door neighbor of the apartment where she used to live and of course, her father also knows that person. Tatsuo says forget it, it is okay that she’s fine..okay. After hanging up, Anna happily says that was easily settled. Takumi asks her what’s going on, did they quarrel. Pouting, Anna glances at him and exclaims that it is nothing. She angrily remembers asking Tatsuo to make love with him and he rejected her by saying that he doesn’t want to make love with someone he doesn’t like. “..what the heck was that! *recalls Tatsuo saying that it is the instinct being seduced that one wants to make love* You were obviously the one who brought up that topic. *recalls Tatsuo saying that it is impossible* You blushed even if it is obviously no big deal.. and unexpectedly, you would.. This is obviously just a small matter that I shouldn’t have minded at all. *recalls Tatsuo* It’s nothing--..” She suddenly gently pushes Takumi away and apologizes. She tells him to stop for now, because it seems that her stomach hurts a bit so today is no good. Takumi exclaims if she is alright.

Takumi asks what that means for she is smiling at him for no reason. Anna says that it is nothing. Narration: “To put it plainly, in this world, except for men, it is women. It is so simple that it makes one feel that it is quite a wonder.”
