Namaikizakari [Chapter 32]

Narration: “It would be good if I didn’t notice it. *Yuki said that she isn’t the kind of amazing person that he thinks that she is* That person’s strong back, ordinary feebleness, and weakness. *fireworks flying up the sky* I shouldn’t have noticed it. *night sky lit with fireworks* [Then,] things wouldn’t have become like this--” Yuki nervously calls out to Shizuka. To her surprise, he says that he heard what was talked about JUST NOW. <- Shou said that he no longer likes Yuki. While still hugging her, Shizuka says, “..why. ..obviously you felt ‘very sad’ but why won’t you say it out. Obviously you’re very hurt yet you’ll grind your teeth and clench your fist. This kind of thing wherein you tell yourself, ‘endure, endure’..and it definitely won’t end, right. Won’t it be okay if someone told you, ‘it’s alright’..” Narration: “—I know it clearly from the start that I and that guy are totally opposite beings. *While Yuki is seriously cleaning a basketball, Shou called out to her and asked if an alien had implanted a strange microchip inside her body.* But, I still think that anyway, we can still mutually understand each other. It is enough to just use hard work to cut down each other’s distance but-- *Recalls her grandmother telling her not to force herself and she loosens up her grip* ..it is no longer necessary to strive hard--”
To Shizuka’s shock, Yuki mutters, “Grandmother..” He quickly hold her shoulders and shouts, Grandmother, where!!? Wondering what she is saying, Yuki apologizes and says that it isn’t like that. “I only thought of my grandmother. ..I’m just somewhat depressed--” Then, her cellphone rings. Her friend calls out what she is doing when the fireworks had started. Yuki apologizes and says that she’ll immediately go back. Shizuka calls out to her and seriously asks, “..is it no good if it isn’t that guy?” Meanwhile, when she is about to bite on her candy apple, Arisa asks, Ha!? Since the fireworks are noisy, Abe shouts so he is saying that Shou has given up on Yuki. Surprised Arisa asks, really? The Satomi shouts what’s going on and why!? Shou casually says that they’re noisy to death, anything is okay, in short, [they] would no longer cause a ruckus at that person’s side. The girls [including Abe?] say how boring when they obviously like Yuki. Arisa seriously looks at Shou who is holding his cellphone. At home, the twins shout to Yuki that their geta [wooden clogs] is broken, their feet hurt and the rubbing caused their skin to tear. Reading a magazine, Yuki casually welcomes them back, and says that she’ll help them in putting some disinfectant so they first change off their yukata and take a bath.
As they complain about their house being hot, Yuki wonders what Shizuka meant by, ‘is it no good if it isn’t that guy’. She wonders what’s up with Shizuka today. Because the fireworks are very noisy, she waited for a while to ask back about it but he no longer said anything. Flashback: Yuki shouted, ha!? And Shizuka shouted no, he didn’t say anything!! End flashback. She is tense over Shizuka’s hug and he won’t let her go. She wonders could it be possible that perhaps, it is definite that Shizuka likes her..? “No..that’s wrong for it is possible that I’m thinking too much [/flattering myself] and before, there was one time when I was mistaken that he is confessing to me.. My head is a mess. Right now, I only want to think about club activity and studies.” Her cellphone vibrates. It is a phone call from Shou. Yuki recalls him saying that there is something that he wanted to tell her, and forget it, he’ll call her later. She wonders what is that, didn’t he already say what he wanted to say -> I no longer like Yuki-senapai. She immediately uses a pillow to cover the cellphone and angrily thinks that he said that while eating a grilled squid. She thinks that she is the one who said, ‘wait for me for three months’ and since he said, ‘gave up’ then there is already no words to be said to him, she cannot say out any words and she doesn’t want to listen to anything.
After practice, Amamiya and Nishiyama are surprised to learn that Shou has given up chasing after Yuki. Abe says that yesterday, he declared it at the matsuri while eating squid. Amamiya exclaims if that is for real, and he is still quite reckless. Shouji wonders out loud if it is their fault since they are teasing him. Yashiro tells him that Shou doesn’t care about that kind of thing and could it be that he went to find a more suitable and more beautiful girl. Then, they talk about summer vacation ending soon and other things. Carrying the laundry, Himiko overheard them. She wonders if they are talking about Shou, but then, indeed, she also thinks that those two are unsuitable [/incompatible] in all sorts of aspects, but.. She recalls Shou saying that he really likes Yuki. Himiko thinks that she didn’t felt that he would casually say those kind of words.. While Yuki is mopping the gym’s floor, Shou leans by the door and asks how come she didn’t answer his phone call. Yuki darkly says that she’s already asleep. He says that he also called her during the fireworks festival. Yuki darkly says is that so, she didn’t notice it. He asks with who she is with. She darkly says a friend. Shou asks if it is only a friend. Irked Yuki wonders what’s up with this tranquil non-stop talking conversation.. She grabs her mop and turns to him. She angrily says, “You’re noisy to death, Haka..”
Shou asks, Haka..Hakamada..Hakamada Shizuka? Yuki is speechless for she said out the word ‘Haka’ and she couldn’t hide it anymore.. “..no, no..it’s very strange. *turns around from Shou* For things to reach this stage, what’s up with me that I’ll avoid mentioning about Hakamada in front of Naruse.” Shou asks if she is together with Shizuka. Yuki tells him that no matter what it is, it has nothing to do with him. “By the way, if you got nothing to do, quickly go home..” Shou suddenly grabs her hands and pushes her on the wall. Yuki angrily shouts that it hurts and what’s up with.. She stops upon seeing Shou seriously looking at her. Shou darkly says that didn’t he say, ‘I have something that I want to tell you’. While struggling to free herself, Yuki angrily says that didn’t he already finished saying it while he was still eating a squid. <- harbors a grudge over this. Shou darkly says that it isn’t that, okay, and seriously listen to what he has to say.. Yuki shouts that she doesn’t want to listen!!! This irks him. He kisses her cheek. She tells him, no.. He whispers for her to please, seriously listen to what he has to say. She closes her eyes and says no.. She doesn’t want to listen. She grinds her teeth and viciously gives Shou a headbutt. While Shou holds his head since it hurts, Yuki mutters..what..
She angrily shouts, “What’s that when obviously you kissed with Ichii..you protruded navel!!!” Shou asks what, she saw it..his navel and the kiss. Yuki shouts that she didn’t see the navel but she saw the kiss. Shou tries to explain about it but Yuki darkly says that is enough, she already doesn’t want to listen to what he has to say. As she walks away, she thinks that it is because.. Recalling Arisa saying that she only forcefully kissed Shou that’s all, Yuki thinks that is what Arisa told her then how come Shou hid that issue from her. She doesn’t want to listen to him seriously saying that he has chosen that girl. At Arisa’s place, she complains to her friends that writing the homework won’t end. They talk about this is bad for it is school opening ceremony next week, and they still have a lot of homework. Miho wonders if Shou really gave up on Yuki. Satomi says that it seems to be a good opportunity for Arisa to take advantage of. Arisa says that they are truly idiots when he said, ‘no longer like her; do not want to be noisy around senpai’. Her friends say is that so and what’s up with that. Scowling Arisa sips her drink from the straw and mutters that those guys are very strange.
Then, at the Machida’s kitchen, a glass breaks. Third triplet angrily calls second triplet for being stupid and how could he be so idiotic to break a glass that he had put ice in. Second triplet shouts that he was the one who put in too many ice. First triplet looks into the cupboard and says that they no longer have any glass. In her room, while trying to study, Yuki thinks that she once again clearly knows..that the person she has fallen for is a stinky brat who is in the same grade as her younger brothers. “Ignoring others, fooling around with some other girl then saying this ‘give up’ declaration at me, and at this time, he would still do that kind of thing. *-> pinning her to the wall and kissing her* Isn’t there really something wrong with his brain *recalls him whispering to her* ..afterwards, because of that, the me whose heart kept on beating, there is also something wrong with my brain..” Blushing red, she puts her head on the table and thinks that she couldn’t concentrate. Then, she looks at the mug he gave her. Removing its contents, she thinks that it is no good since it makes her infuriated to death so she must quickly put it aside. Just then, second triplet calls out to her and says that he broke the glass and there is no new one.. Seeing Yuki’s mug, he goes to grab it and exclaims that luckily, this one is okay so can she lend it to him.. Yuki suddenly grabs the mug and shouts, “No!!” Her younger brother looks surprised as she nervously mutters that this one is no good. Yuki recalls how she easily exchanged her toy bear with Rin before because Rin likes it better. Yuki thinks that actually, until now, there was never a time when she would quickly argue about wanting something.
Going out of her room, Yuki apologizes and says that she’s going out for a while and also, don’t he dare touch that mug or she’ll beat him up. This surprises her younger brother. Yuki recalling how she touched Shou’s back after their defeat. She thinks, “But.. that guy.. only that guy--” While walking on a pedestrian bridge, Yuki thinks that it is over for she just ran out of the house and forgot her cellphone even if she wanted to find him.. Then, from below, Arisa calls out to her and asks how come she is empty-handed. “—if it is Naruse, it seems that right now, he is at some other place doing homework with Abe and the others.” Yuki thinks that perhaps, in Shou’s heart right now, it is only this girl and perhaps, her hand already cannot touch him but.. Flustered Yuki calls out to Arisa and says that she must apologize to her for she obviously always squarely challenged her-- "*Arisa told her that it is because she likes Shou so if Yuki doesn’t need him, she wants to have him* but..I always run away and always want to diverge from the topic. I’m sorry.. (Ah, my heart is beating nonstop) I won’t give him to you, Arisa. *Arisa looks surprised* I do need him and I also want to have that guy..” As the girls look at each other, Yuki thinks that it is because of nervousness, her fingertips kept on trembling. “It is simply like before taking an exam. Whether I hit a wall [/get rebuffed] or get hurt, right now, I’m not afraid. I want to see Naruse.”
Comment: And, I guess everyone ought to be happy with this chapter. Yuki didn’t easily forgive him for that even if obviously, there is some misunderstanding, hurt, etc. I’m amused that the squid thing is frequently mentioned. ^^; And, Yuki finally realize how much Shou meant to her that she is going to ‘chase’ after him. Apparently, Shou seemed to pull what Yuki did before about him being a ‘younger brother’. Saying something ‘hurtful’ and assumes that the other party won’t get hurt by it because s/he assumes that the other already knows what the other really felt for the other. ^^;; Honestly, that is very dangerous since their relationship isn’t that deep yet and technically, they are still in ‘courting stage’. Thankfully, they love each other enough so things will be sorted out in a matter of time. Poor Shizuka, Yuki is still vague about his feelings after all that and he reminded her of her grandmother. ^^; Unlike other rivals, Arisa bluntly tell her rival where the guy is. But then, I’m not sure if Yuki would know where he and the others are based on that. If Yuki is heading towards his house, perhaps, Arisa is hinting that they are at a library or a restaurant? Arisa is really playing fairly with her so I guess that stolen kiss is a ‘cannot help it’ thing? Anyway, Yuki found her guts so most probably, they’ll reconcile and resolve the misunderstanding in the next chapter or two, I guess. Hopefully, there is no regress or Yuki getting scared or changing her mind again. ^^; The next chapter will be out in Japan after a month from now..again. Scans by 红莲汉

  1. Way to go girl. It's definitely the time to chase, Shou. I'll definitely kick you if you're going to change your mind again.

Reminds me, I am really curious of that thing Shou wanted to tell Yuki. I wonder what's that all about. What do you tink, Kat?

And now, it will be a long wait again. Thanks for the summaries, Kat ^^ Good job!

Hm..my guess is that he would wait for her. He'll lay low for a while hence he is telling everyone that he is giving up on her then, when she is ready, they can go steady.

True, thanks for reading and the comment ^-^

    2. Whaaaah. The 'lay-low' idea of Shou somehow had a negative effect on Yuki. And now, she's willing to be selfish. To chase on what she really wants.

Kyaaaa. I can't contain my excitement for the next chapter ^^ One month is really long but I guess I have no choice. I'll just keep on visiting your blog for any updates ;) Thanks, Kat ^_^

  4. Thanks for this kat! I was sooooo waiting for this since it ought to be Yuki's revelation.
Sucks how the next chapter is next month, not 2 weeks like how it's been.
Just makes the anticipation unbearable on how Yuki will confess and what Shou's reaction would be..

    As always thanks :)

  5. Thank goodness! I hope that there won't be any misunderstandings in the next chapter and that we'll get to see some romance. (He kissed her a lot in the initial chapters and now, things are so serious...)
Thank you so much for translating and writing such detailed summaries! Thanks to you, a lot of us don't have to wait too long to know what's happening.

  7. Looks like kat u were right on mark with your promise( glad I didn't take my last comments for granted). Hope shou says something good that won't stir her up( of course because she thinks too much on a scenario) and will get along very well as u mentioned, but still have a feeling that they will have to face many problems ahead, which sure will make it interesting to read more.
Also, thanks kat for the ep and from where do u get all those matching quotes( u must have been really devoted or good with them) ,and a wonderful summary. Feels there is nothing to regret about waiting for one month. Please share your views.

    1. Yup, Tanvish..and they ought to have a good talk rather than doing/saying things without the other one knowing the real intention/feelings/motivations behind it because it will definitely cause misunderstanding.

More problems...what do you have in mind? Love rivals, studies, club activities? ^^ A lot can indeed especially around December - Winter Cup and Christmas ^^ If that is what the mangaka is also thinking =P

Thanks for reading them ^-^ I usually just google and try to find a fitting quote for the 'theme' .

  8. Thank you for the summary Kat!

I knew it! Lol. Shou's feelings aren't that shallow, the reason why he did it is because he loves her. However, him doing so gave her the push she needed. I feel sorry for Shizuka, but I prefer it this way. As for Arisa, I wonder if she knows that her effort is useless. Trying to worm her way into Shou's heart is having an opposite effect and only pushing both together even closer. That might be one of the reasons she uh... hinted to where Shou was (although she could be lying). On the other hand, she still won't give up. I admit its pretty admirable. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Yup, though I still think that he should talked with her first before saying that since Yuki would take it very seriously. Luckily, love prevails ^^ I think Arisa knows. Oh...possible but Arisa doesn't come out to me as a liar since she has been very straightforward. True..and it would be good if she also knows when to give up ^^

  13. Thank you, Kat! I was really excited to see what was coming, now I'm even more, lol.

The denseness of a shoujo heroine is really a thing to pay attention, isn't it? Though I don't think Yuki is our typical shoujo girl, I have to admit, she's somewhat dense, yea. I'd guess even my grandma would realize Shizuka has feelings for her now, but Yuki thinkis to much about everything and too little of herself, almost depreciating herself. I somewhat pitty her, and am glad that now she's at least trying to pursue something on her own.

Kissstealer earned somo points, only if she did tell the truth about Shou's whereabout, but I don't think she'd lie so...

Ah, the squid thing is indeed something to be pissed about. Just imagine the one you like suddenly said s/he didn't anymore while eating anything with an attitude that tells you it's not a big thing. Glad she's pissed, and it looks like it did hurt her.

Anyway I'll stop here, thanks again!

    2. Now, I just hope there's no more misunderstanding with those two. I mean, at least not on next couple chapters. The way Yuki "ditched" Naruse was kinda harsh - no, I'm not saying she's bad nor blaming her or anything like it, she was hurt and confuse and has every right to be pissed. Just saying that she didn't Shou explain nor did she tried to listen to him, if the author uses this to further their misunterstanding, give the rivals more time to "advance (lol)" and create more drama, I'll be mad for a couple days, I mean, after this killing wait for the next chapter, only thing worse than that is me having to work on my vacations. T___T

The squid thing, I'll be pissed too, lol.

      Delete
    3. Hopefully so. If there is/are, that means the mangaka plans to drag things further...

Well, it is also understandable since she thought that he is going to repeat what he said that night. And, it shows that 'rejection' has a major impact. And we have to thank younger brother for accidentally 'showing' her what is really important to her. Because knowing her, she can keep on thinking about it for a very long time.

Hehe...but then, if there are no more misunderstandings/rivals/conflicts..that also means that the series is going to end.

      =)

    4. I wouldn't mind some more drama, as long as it sticks just to their own antics and no third wheel trying to get inbetween. I mean, Naruse is just too focused on Yuki and she can barely manage/acknowledge her own feelings to be shaken by another. It's not that I don't like Shizuka, he's beeing a good character so far and even kissstealer won some points now, lol.

I just don't think it's a good idea to add drama adding a love triangle or polygon w/e. This story is good and got my attention because Naruse and Yuki antics and how they interact to each other, and their own problems/situations could bring a lot of good drama/misanderstandings without bringing in any third parties.

Just picture if what Naruse had/has to tell Yuki is that he's moving/transfering due to some familiar issue or something in the lines... but if we'd have Shizuka making his moves on her due to Naruse being away, I might lose my s*, lol.

My distate for love triangle/love rivals is that strong. Read to many good stories turn to complete bulls* 'cause the author thought it'd be a good idea to make everyone fickle, leaving the impression that the love/feelings are just as fickle.

      All hail ototo-kun, indeed!

Damn thing, I had written a good reply, but it didn't go through. Guess is a good thing, tho, it was too long, like always, lol.

    5. Fê, some drama is indeed okay though at times, it can be obvious that a mangaka is dragging things. Third wheels..usually help move things along like what happened with Yuki here thanks to Arisa.

I see. More on a full blown love triangle/polygon as a bad idea.

Ah...a net hiccup...those are really irritating.

      Delete
    6. I still don't get the vibe the author is dragging here, tho I get what you meant and also get it the third wheels being used to move things, what I meant was indeed a fullblown love triangle/polygon - really, I can't remember a single on story that was about triangles/polygons that didn't have the feeling that the characters seemed fickle as were the love they claimed to feel.

I think that is my fear for Namaiki, lol.

Recently read HnR and Haru Ride, big dissapoint, specially with HnR and I didn't even ship anyone on both series, just the characters and their feeling seemed so off sometimes...

Wait? Why the hell am I talking about other series again? Gotta stop this bad habit of mine, I swear I always disrail in some point, even in my job. Sorry about that, again! T_T

      Delete
    7. True..and it becomes 'unrealistic' or very 'fickle' when the person goes back and forth or with almost everyone as if playing around. ^^;

Oh is that so. I thought HnR is a 'fixed couple' but somehow became a love triangle until the end after someone got dumped. Haru Ride..is the same way though obviously a fixed couple. Actually, I didn't really read the latter one ^^; Just the part where the new guy is introduced and I bailed out when he got the girl because I know that she'll go back. Interesting that you find the characters and their feelings there a bit off...acting out of character?

Ah, no problem at all. Don't mind.

      Delete
    8. I'll probably get a lot of hate for this but, here we go: in HnR case, it was so obvious that Tsuntsun still had sensei in mind, even Mamura realized that, and I mean, 'till the very end and 'till the last pages of the very last chapter she was thinking "abnormally" of him, and than, out of nowhere, goes back to Mamura. That were other instances, but nothing beats this last one. I was actually left agasp, even more so 'cause I've read others Mika's works and they were mostly consistent within themselves, no last twist so we can reach a different end 'cause it was obvious what were the most likely scenario to end with... No hate there, if I force myself to think like a very young teenager girl I can, I guess, try to find some other answer other than bad writing or trolling, like, girls hearts are fragile and volatile and tend to change as often as a very young teenager would. Or I can say that, as a person, Mika was trying to send some message in the likes of we not always realize what we have or want 'till the very end of things and won't always follow what we want, kinda of, lol.

As for Haru Ride, Futaba was almost the same as Tsuntsun, but she herself realized what she was doing - after beeing told by some of Toma's friends that called her a b* to Kikuchi - which, imo, hit the mark so much that she herself wondered that. Of course, later she didn't call herself that, but was left wondering if the comings and goings whith Kou and all the execuses she made herself to believe was right. This was on the last chapters and, like I said, hit the mark of how I - and some friend - were reading her character. Even Murao had a last minute change of mind in the end that it was not so obvious, but I'll digress, gotta get back to work before get yelled again and gotta stop writing these walltexts. T_T

Last thing, tho, I really hope Yuki doesn't turn out like those examples we just talked now. Really hope.

    9. I see. Hehe, for me, I would think of it as the usual 'love triangle' thing. Keeping the readers in suspense on who the lead will finally choose and that would be in the last chapter/last few chapters. And, last few chapters is for the last chapter be more lovey-dovey before the end.

For now, it seems that it won't happen here because the main couple has zero romantic interest with the love rivals.

    10. That reply of yours just made me realize how weirdo I am for always reading too much into every single and little detail there is to a story, lol.

Now, not sayng you read supercially, far from it, it's just the way I dive into the characters and want to feel what they feel and see what they and weird stuff like that. Your reply just makes so much sense that I myself realize how I shoudn't get so invested in stories.^^

Some students of mine always say that I'm that craziest one while explaining/teaching w/e. Now I know why, lol!

Yea, i guess the drama we'll be having here are more related to their own circumstances, family, past traumas, insecurities and so on. I could go on enjoying this series if stuck only to they antics, I just love 'em.

      Delete
    11. Hehe, actually, that is good if the story is really well done ^^ I tend not to take it too seriously if it is a love triangle because at the back of my mind, that is what I would be thinking of. The mangaka keeping the readers on their toes over who'll get the girl/boy in a love triangle. And, it usually involves with one person finally saying, 'I quit'. =P

      Craziest but fun, right? ^^

      Yup.

    12. When is just love rivals/third wheels that try to get in their way, but the couple never gives in, or better yet, doesn't even care like that scene from Kaibutsu-kun (the one when she was hugged, the guy got all emotional while she was like, damn, I sneezed and got some snot on his jacket) or other series that doesn't make the girl/guy have a need to be with someone, like anyone, than I enjoy. But when it's like those I mentioned or much like for my distate almost all shoujos I've read, than I can't even finnish.

Personal experience, perhaps, but those things stings like a scorpion to me, when it's done in the bad way, though, now that you "taught me how to read" I might be able to at least give some others a try.

Hahaha, I wouldn't know about the fun part, but yea, pretty used to the craziest one by now, lol.

    13. Oh, I see. But for that one, I think it is more for comedy purposes. =P

    14. Yea, I'm more of a com than a rom. I'm sure of it by now, lol

The way I see it, you're into triangle, so pardon me but I must ask: have you read Orange? Since it's not my cup of tea I haven't, my kind friend spoiled the hole scneario and saved me the trouble of wanting to kill something, or someone, lol. Bur I hear a lot of people saying really good stuff about it, it'd seem it has a good set up, an interesting plot and MUCH feels, so much of them that I'm glad I didn't touch it, lol.

When I'm not on the com side, I like some light dramas like the avatar I'm using, or light rom like 14 sai or the best feels series I read so far: Ore Monogatari.

      Delete
    15. Hehe ^^

No, I'm not into triangle since it can be quite intense. I would even sarcastically compare it to a basketball game and the ball is the 'person they are after'. =P I read I think the first 3 chapters. I don't like it because she already has a husband yet she seems unhappy and wants to change the future with her 'past self'. A lot of people do seem to like it but I already have a problem with that kind of premise so never bothered reading further.

Is that so. For me, I don't really have a certain preference regarding genre since for some it works but sometimes, it doesn't. ^^; The ones I really enjoy are well-rounded ones like comedy, romance, drama, a bit of depth and if possible action, good plot and of course, it is a plus if I like all of the characters/most of the cast ^^

    16. I see, I see, and wow, that comparison just hit the nail, lol! Funny the fact that you run away from Orange for the very same reasons I did for not even touching it after discussing with my friend.

I see, you like best the "normal" type of story, right? I, on the other hand, am not only a com guy with a taste for light dramas, roms e some damn good feels.

I read from Berserk to Himouto, Umaru-chan! < this I've been reading since the very first chapter. From, Hellsing, Hokuto no Ken to Bleach, Vinland Saga to Jitsu wa Watashi wa < recommend this, if you have some time and are into really more coms than roms, this one is almost perfect, I'd say. Beeing Yandere Kanojo and Claymore stuff that are on my top 10, if I'd stop to think about it, lol.

Heard they released an anime of it, got check it out.

Ah, just remembered that you not into some extrapolate things, right? Jitsu wa is exactly like that, the feels, the crazyness, I think in all 90 chapters that I've read, not even one was able to stop me laughing my ***, or when it came to the feels, the author really does a good job at making you feel either. But his forte is the comedy, well, spoke to much again, goind now. ^^

    17. I see, you, too, huh.

Hm..it depends. Sometimes, I get tired of the 'normal' and read something 'different' =P

I heard of some of the series you read. Hokuto no Ken seems to be quite popular unfortunately, I couldn't stand the art. Bleach these days...I read and forget ^^; I have read the plot of Jitsu and yes, it seems to be an anime. Plan to check it out though seems to be a harem. If you already watched it, tell me if I should read the manga or the anime is okay.

I have finished reading Claymore. For coms, I tend to watch rather than read. ^^; Of course, action is usually at its best in anime ^^ Though depends on the execution meaning if it is geared towards younger audience or not.

Actually, I tend to do that. ^^; Depends on the material among other things ^^

    18. Nowadays I'm not watching anime nor reading much manga, only the ones I trully like, so, much of the series I told in the other post is in my "hiatus" stage, lol.

For Jitsu, the anime turned out way better than I expected, since the art in the first chapters aren't so good in the manga, the choice of voice for some characters were pretty good too. I have my complains about somethings, but they are minor, you'd be fine with just the anime, but the manga... The author has his ways of portraying feelings and building situations out of proportion that the anime can't make justice to it. So I say, if you're into more anime than manga, stick it with the animation which is not bad, but if you're more like me, that enjoys every single detail in each page and like bursting in laugh so strange that the people around you would think you gone nuts, then the manga.

Hokuto is more a "male" thing, not wanting to be sexist here, but it is, even the author said himself sometime ago, so even if the art improves later, it just stays "rough". And god, I love Claymore, so much that I had tattooed Clare and Teresa om my back like two angels praying with their wings wide open, just like that scene she named Clare. Couldn't stop myself, lol.

    19. Hehe, is that so ^^

I see. So, I'll watch the anime then..and maybe later on, continue with the manga ^^

Hm..and what makes it a 'male' thing? Usually, I know it is a 'male thing'/series aimed for guys if there are toilet humor or sex stuff for seinen or a lot of fanservice like pantyshots. Of course, there is also the beating up stuff by muscled guys ^^

Wow ^^ And I guess the finale is really thumbs up for you when Teresa came back. ^^

    20. Yea, I was actually surprised that the animation turned out good, but I guess me being me is a pain in the ass, gotta still say that the manga has some nuances and even foreshadowing that the anime couldn't adapt so well. But it's good, one of the few I'm following almost regurlarly, lol.

You just hit the nail with violence and muscles, tho Hokuto is so much more than that, it's actually what most people talk about, and the manliness of Kenshiro. The man is the manliest man among the true manliest men, lol. A friend of mine used to say that reading Hokuto no Ken would make you grow beard over your beard, lol. And I think it is one of the predecessors of most of the cliches we see in fight/action stories in manga 'till now. There's one scene that I - as an ogre with some kind of stone heart - felt the need to say, yeah, that's a true man, I'd like to be like that, with waterly eyes and a creepy smile, just like Takeo-kun, lol.

Girl, did I have trouble when she came back winged, thought to myself: good one Yagi-sensei, good one. Dear god of mine, now where the hell am I supposed to find space on my back to get her tattooed too? Still looking, true story, someday I'll get it done, just can't finde the place yet. T_T

    1. Tanvish, I guess you mean manga, right? And a shoujo one. I like Skip Beat. It is a slow-paced like this series but unlike this one, I don't feel that it is dragging since it is just moving very slowly towards something. The journey/reading through it is also enjoyable. The series that I usually like the most are series that are well-rounded wherein they have romance, drama, comedy, and probably a bit of action ^^ Characters as in the whole cast are likeable.

      No problem ^^

  17. Thanks kat for ur reply...really respect it. By the way I like bleach, clannad, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, one piece. These r the ones with interesting story line and all are like funny, serious, action n adventure, slice of life, etc..but I prefer anime in their case.
Let's hope next part of namaikizakari comes soon..
Thank u for spending ur time on my question :)

    1. Hehe, Tanvish..so you are really talking about anime. Ah, for anime, I like Gintama, Assassination Classroom, Space Brothers, Attack on Titan, I forgot the others. ^^; I have watched Bleach..the latter episodes lost interest. One piece felt kiddie for me since it seems to be quite slow with so long introduction and in the end, only a bit of happening happened in one episode and tend to be a bit repetitive. I have watched Melancholy..the first one is pretty good. The second season..not so much.

      No problem ^^

  18. Ya true, but I still love bleach cause its story is superb with really mysterious characters which keep u thinking how strong and on whose side they are...
Also read a little bit of skip-beat and I really liked the plot of the story about her revenge but also how she gets distracted from goal......anime's really keep us waiting don't they, but still how do u see them as,like connected to u somehow or just something attracting u to watch it(anime n manga). Anyways u r a fan of them n that can't be helped :))
Thanks for answering my dumb questions and for not getting mad...><
