Free Talk: Kono Oto Tomare 94

The issue with Atsumu’s one has been resolved. Because of how Michi’s issue is resolved, Atsumu is willing to give up on something which he was quite adamant before. That is using his grandfather’s koto picks.

And in the end, he didn’t have to do it because of Natsu. I’ll say that it is thanks to what Chika said after they finished club practice. He apologizes to Natsu for being the ‘bad guy’ who has to point out the truth, appreciate his help and kind of mentioned his importance to their group.

Because of that, I think, it made Natsu listen to that song which gave him an idea. An idea which brought about a flashback which can solve the issue. So, it is indeed practical that it will be Natsu who’ll adjust since he can do it easily compared to Atsumu especially since they are pressed for time.

It is practically a win-win solution. I like the chain reaction of how one reacted/dealt with a situation/issue before or present would result to a positive progress to the others in the future. They are all growing thanks to their interaction with each other. ^-^

  1. i've actually seen the raw way before the scans and then someone gave a quick summary of the events (very short and quick) yet when i read the scans i was shocked because i didn't expect natsu to volunteer and change his nails and style to make atsumu fit in (in the raws i thought he bought with his money new nails for atsumu and let's work together to make your sound fit in is what i thought) soo much progress for natsu , honestly i think at this point everyone knows that natsu says things without sugarcoating but with no bad intentions and everyone also knows how atsumu has a bit of weak mentality which was great that today he was willing to change to help the team but i still think that it was great of chika to talk with natsu because it really was evident that he was concern about the nails being from atsumu's dead grandpa, it also is clear that natsu is a little bit hesitant to say things or do things since he is becoming more and more emotionally invested in this team and he is worried that he might ruin things once again (even if he denies that like when he told chika he wasn't feeling down). The conclusion was not what i expected but it is a great one since natsu could figure something out faster than atsumu, also maybe using this different style will give him an idea about the free-style section that suzuka added (and said that it could be optional)
one thing that i found funny is atsumu's anime song choice lol i mean i'm someone who watches anime and i think that was way too childish so imagine someone like natsu who have no interest in anime and atsumu picks this song for him lol kudos for natsu for actually listening to all of it i would've switched it off after less than 30 seconds. i'm quite interested in natsu's life (his father and brother who aren't in the picture) I wonder if his mother is divorced or if she is a mistress and that's why natsu have a bad relation with the dad or if this "dad" is a stepdad in fact, woudl love to hear your theories and I wonder if this will ever be tackled alongside chika's story

    thanks

    1. Yup, it's a great turn of events. In a way, quite believable.

Haha, true. It's good that Natsu is keeping an open-mind about all sorts of music ^^ Haha, maybe he just unconsciously 'mute' the lyrics in his head.

      Hm...I didn't know he had a brother. ^^;

Maybe divorced or not married but had a kid-type. I don't think she is a mistress since the father would have been 'caught' for being with the other family on holidays. Usually, it ought to be on 'working days' so that the real family won't be suspicious.

Hehe...before, I thought he might be a relative of Chika due to his interest earlier. Though, from the looks of things, it is just out of curiosity for Chika being in this club.

      Delete
    2. hahaha muting the lyrics is a good idea, in one of the chapter endings early on when natsu was introduced and info page was added showing things like his likes and dislikes etc and it said he have an older brother which made me think of chika but now i understand it's just because he was in the same middle school and he looks changed now, I don't think divorce would make him avoid the father but maybe if it was on bad terms I still think there is something about the father and the father-mother relationship that natsu doesn't quite like/approve off and that's why he avoids him specially that from the looks of it they seem (him and his mother) to lead life as a single parent family hold and if they are divorced then there would be no need to meet up with the ex-husband hence maybe they are not yet divorced yet the father ignores the family and the mom still runs for him those few times he calls for a meeting who knows i just wish that part wouldn't be ignored in the future since they even brought up the drum his dad gave him.

    3. Well, I get the impression that they aren't exactly in good terms so he rather go with a new group than spend it together with his father.

Hm...is it possible that one of the cause of it is he has to work parttime to make ends meet? I would have a bit of 'grudge' with the father if I cannot exactly have a 'normal' student life because we aren't provided for. And, the mother has to work quite a lot that she is always not at home.

      Delete
    4. you know that's why the father is always a mystery to me i thought at first he was out of the picture with how he works part time and the mom always works night shifts ( i don't know why i assume the mom is a nurse) but then when the mom said your dad will meet us on golden week I was surprised because why would she meet him if he really isn't helping financially and even if they are divorced wouldn't he be decent enough to give child support looking at how at least one of his sons is still underage?, somehow i still think they can live with the mom's paycheck alone but natsu still wants to be responsible and cover his own expenses. we will wait and see
      emmahoshi

      Delete
    5. I also think that she is a nurse. I couldn't find the chapter but I recall it was mentioned that she works in more than one shift.

True. Even if he is the type who wouldn't give child support, usually, that kind of person would rather not see the child at all. I'm curious about the mother's arrangement with the father.

Hm...I get the impression that he has no choice regarding parttime work. I mean, wouldn't one prefer to have club with school mates? Wouldn't the mother tell him not to work and just enjoy being a student if the paycheck is enough? Iirc, it was because of work that he has problems with his club members before. And even with Tokise, he likes them but he isn't quitting work.

      Delete
    6. Indeed me too i'm curious to know how things are between the mom and the dad
about the part-time work i figured he is the responsible type/child who became mature way too fast and hence decided himself to not burden the mom with his expenses (or his extra expenses outside essentials) and work to provide for himself at least that is the impression i got from natsu, as for the club members i honestly think natsu has a personality were he thinks people should understand him without him having to explain himself/telling them everything and he have a hard time explaining himself/expressing emotion hence whenever a misunderstanding happens he decides it's time to go because that is easier than explaining himself. moreover i think he generally doesn't like to be with people 24/7 and that's why eventhough he likes tokoise being with them 24/7 would still be suffocating and it is better to have some space to recharge (he gave me that impression because i'm the same I like my friends but seeing them everyday from 7am to 8 pm is a bit too much and i need some me time and some time with other people ) and i think that's why with mitsu's situation the mangaka wanted to emphasize that you really don't have to spend every waking moment together to be considered friends/club members which i found it nice because i'm sure someone a lot of them do like being together but then there are people who find it tiring (but that doesn't mean they hate the club members or anything ) overall i thought that was nice because before that there was a lot of emphasis on hours spent on club and training when quality also plays a role not only quantity, its just my personal understanding and it could be wrong

    7. Ah, I see.

True. I forgot about not wanting to be with people 24/7. Hm...talking about this, I suddenly wondered what's the role of that girl who is always with him before. Was she a pasttime when he doesn't have work?

      Delete
    8. if you see in chapter 82 (or 83) he has a lot of female names in his line , I guess he does hang out with them but maybe he could always say i have part-time so bye, I think he is genuinely nu-interested in most of the people around him and just keep superficial relations with them that's why i guess oka (his classmate from middle school) is an enigma to me since natsu obviously ignored him from way back in middle school yet oka feels responsible and keeps on interacting with him, I could say with a high certainty that the tokoise club members are some of the few people he showed interest in for a long time now which is a positive change
      emmahoshi

      Delete
    9. Ah, yes, it could be that. Since there are a lot of female names, it makes me wonder if he is more comfortable with them since they seem to be fangirl-types.

Hm...maybe Oka knows something more about him that is why he is like that towards him. Hehe, unless, he is just the responsible-caring type.

      True.

      Delete
    10. you know it makes sense they would admire the cool guy in school and if he says bye i need to leave it's just because he is cool while if he had male friends they would require more attention (like lets play sport together or join a club etc) which will all be tiring to him i guess with middle school he tried that with the music club but then they too needed him to explain himself so he just left, I think oka used to be the class representative/responsible in middle school although i don't understand why he keeps the role now in high school i guess because if it was me i would've just gave up , it's interesting how natsu ended up in the same class/club as a person who had no friends (atsumu) no wonder their interactions are so awkward
      emmahoshi

      Delete
    11. I see. Hm...maybe he should also find male friends with no obligation like just hang out, too? ^^; In scenarios like that, I think it is more common for the girls to keep on bothering the cool guy.

      Yup.

  2. I really like this manga. I like how the characters evolved all together but at their own pace at the same time. I think it makes sense for Natsu to change his style, as "he can fit with any bands" like his boss said. It might be quite easy for him to adapt to Atsumu sound's and goes with the definition of "fit in" for his solo. It will be a nice way to see their relationship develop and kind of prepare them to take over when the group will be graduated.

As for Atsumu's song choice, I find the lyrics match well the situation Natsu is in regarding the group or at least it resonates with the story.

I've been re-reading some of the chapters and I've realised they are more or less 6 weeks away to the competition. They train so many hours per day (I wonder if they do their homework), they will be able to present something good. I quite like how the author creates a domino reaction in their way of discovering the meaning being Suzuka's words. I cannot wait to watch the anime !!!

I wonder which character is the next on the list of improvement. I was also wondering who will be next the next president of the club.

    Thanks,
    Malou

    1. Yup, Malou ^^

      True that it makes me wonder if it is a coincidence. ^^;

Hehe...well, for Chika and the three...I don't think they would...probably just hope the exams that they usually do cramming can pull their grades up for them to pass.

Hm...I'm thinking that they ought to find the theme for their piece to pull it all together now.

  3. Thanks, Kat. I also like how all of them are making progress individually and that affects the group as whole, it's pretty nice to see. Now, if only we could more couples progress, I'd be a happy old man, haha.

Aah, I see. And it's a somewhat different system, we normally see a 4y gap, here, it's 4y for every position but senator, this gets 8y, but municipal/prefectures occur 2y before federals, so this year we have to "choose" mayors, and because of that, 2bi weren't sent to fight corona, but to fund these elections. Nice, uh?
    -
But is there a vote system masking these family businesses or it's like Cuba/Venezuela? Over here there's a vote, but you won't ever see new faces, and when you do, be sure that it's because his related to someone.
    -
I see, sometimes I delve into the maybe such people have really made a pact? It's almost unbelievable that they can mass popularity being this inept.

Oh, I figured that was what he implied, and the gall of this clown, complaining like that. It really boils my old blood, not gonna lie.

    1. Haha, yup, Fê ^^

Ah, we got rumors like that, too. They aren't using the funds to fight the virus but increasing their chest for the election. It is mostly for the private sector who has to do things. These days, they are now requiring people to wear face shields along with face masks.

To lower the active cases, we now have this 'mass recoveries' scheduled every Sunday. That is as I mentioned before...anyone with mild symptoms, no symptoms and 'assumed well already after 14 days' are now considered recovered.

Oh, have the news reached there? Apparently, our president volunteered himself for the Russian vaccine though his underlings are now saying that he'll get it when it is safe. Nevertheless, he has volunteered the people to get it first. So, we are now guinea pigs. I even heard about it being done through lottery. Judging from the TV adverse interviews, it seems that there are no takers yet.

      - - -

Nope. Everyone knew what's the relation. Actually, they use the familiar surnames to make people vote for them again. So, at times, just say the surname of the politician and you'll know which province/city his family 'rules'.

There are some new faces though they don't last long. The previous big named politicians will do their best to ruin the new ones so that the people would vote for them again. Or, wait for the three times limit of being elected so the new one can no longer run, then they are back.

      - - -

Hehe...perhaps, they have a charm or something? Ah, yes. Here, there are people who have this 'pride-stubborn' thing. It is like, even if everything goes to hell, they won't admit that they were wrong. That is one explanation of why they would stick with him thick or thin even if they think they knew they were wrong.

Hm...at least, it isn't as bad there, right? Oh ya, is it on the news there? We got news here that the imported chickens we got from Brazil had covid. I'm not sure if it is just on the surface or something...it wasn't exactly explained how it got there. I'm not sure if it is okay to eat but we are just told that it is for hotels and restaurants.

      - - -

Ah, your computer is fixed already ^^

    2. Yea, it was fixed quite fast, I think they aren't having so much these days so it was faster than usual.
      -
Aaah, as always. The thing here is that the money flows, but much more to their pockets and the little that actually goes to the services are badly used/managed.

What's the deal with the face shield + mask? Why?

Seems like they just want to say people are finally recovering...

Russian? What happened to the chinese? Here is the one from oxford/gates. But is the president getting the vaccine or just the people? We already know the answer here, "funny" enough, the gov from São Paulo got the chinese and people tested for it, couple weeks later he was diagnosed positive to c19. Now, ask if he was among the "volunteers"...
      -
Do they really wait? They don't here, just take someone "new" under their wings and rule through them.
      -
I don't call that pride, just stupidity, haha.
      -
That's a lie to make the prices drop, as brazil is the one that feeds meat to almost half the world alone and China needs to buy. The virus don't live in cold temperatures and even if did, once you cook it, it'd be gone for good, if it was true. I was actually talking to a friend about this, but about two months ago, how the prices went up and brazil "could" make it through if they didn't sabotage themselves or got sabotaged by others. Now look what happened.

      Delete
    3. I see ^^ Hm...are still a lot of businesses closed there? Just curious if that's the reason why there are fewer computer repairs.

      - - -

      Yup.

So that there will be less virus spreading around. Double protection of mask and shield. The rates are increasing here especially among the working people.

Yes. We have a lot of active cases in Southeast Asia. They don't want the distinction of being number 1 against Indonesia. High numbers = stupid govt not doing much except wait for the vaccine.

Haha, perhaps, he forgot. In last night's speech, it is now both Russia and China. Now, it is no longer free. A lot of craziness happening these past few days. It was like 'Weekend with Bernie' and 'Kingdom' with rumors again that he's dead. They have the usual proof of life picture with current newspaper until someone mentioned, hey, isn't that photoshopped?

So, before the almost midnight speech, they have a FB live that he is still alive. And no, he didn't go to Singapore for emergency treatment. You see, a cabinet secretary whom he always have a meeting with had covid. People are saying that the president got it, too. So much for all those testing before meeting the president. Though, he does look ill in the FB live...couldn't open one of his eyes anymore.

Anyway, the speech is we are back to the usual lockdown and who cares if the numbers are rising since the economy is down and they don't exactly have new ideas to deal with it except for the new requirement of the face shield. Hehe, they got even a little skit of guys in blue with swords against a red mascot of corona virus. Here is what it looked like: https://media.interaksyon.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Virus-video.jpg
      Waste of time and money.

Haha, maybe he'll get it if it is safe. But most likely, he is trying to assure people that everything will be okay soon...we got a vaccine soon. Oh...they are already testing the vaccine there? Hehe, was he? If he was then, it didn't work...

      - - -

Wait is if they lost. They = any other family relative that they fielded for the position had lost to a newcomer/rival. For example, in this city, first three terms is the father. Then, the next is the mother. Then, it is the father again. Father is going for higher position of the son took over. Son got into corruption case that was dug up since father wants to be president so he didn't finish term and the vice got the position. In the next election, it is the sister beating the vice-mayor turned mayor. The current one, it is the brother vs the sister. The sister won. So, whenever we mention of that surname, we know what city that family 'rules'.

      - - -

      Haha, true.

      - - -

Ya, I was thinking about that. Wouldn't the virus be killed if it is cooked? Doesn't it die in the surface of objects after 2-3 days? And, I read that it is China who is complaining about it. Since we are kinda under China, we banned it, too.

    4. More or less, a lot didn't get to reopen and most normal people are spending the little they have in other more important things. I struggled for almost three months to finally send the pc to the tech and only after started to get really, really scary that I felt if it I took more time it'd get even more expansive. I got lucky that it wasn't so pricey, but still...

Speaking of such, had the exams for the sick leave this week in two days in a row, for some reason they sent all the people to only one place, a small clinic, and because of that there were a lot of people waiting in and out and again, got lucky because I got my time before it started to rain. Nevertheless, I was appointed to 3pm, arrived there a bit earlier and was out by almost 6pm. It used to take at most an hour when it was really bad...

Yea, I saw some of the attendants there using both, instantly remembered.
      -
That's really said to hear, Indonesia is in a very poor state, too, even more so with the eruptions. Got a friend there and talk every now and then, he's doing okayish, luckly.
      -
Wow, he really is that bad, uh? And I have no words, what are they even doing? Why?

He didn't take the vaccine himself, but volunteered others than got infected, stupid monster. All he did was political and got everything worse. Unfortunately, I don't think most people care about it and might vote for him again, and then I'd say, you deserve all the bad, and unlucky me, who has to be in the middle of all this. T_T
      -
Hoooly, wow. That's really all in the family, uh? That's sad, really sad, but it is how things tend to work. I once said that it didn't look like nobility/royalty had finished seeing how everything is always between the same families, and when it's not, it's just that this "new one" was taken in by the old.
      -
Yes, and the virus doesn't last in cold environments, now, how would anyone transport any kind of food to the other side of the planet without being frozen? Strange, right? BTW, I heard that in wuhan there were people having those mega parties. So much for caution, uh?

      Delete
    5. I see. Here, a lot of stores, restaurants and private schools have closed. To the irritation of the people, when told that 40+% of the people are unemployed, he goes to say that he is 'delighted' that it isn't 100%. He later tries to give an excuse as to why he said that.

I see. Is it because less people want to risk covid? Hm...while waiting there, do people wear masks and have to be apart by one meter? Here, it should be or else, the police/authorities will start going after you.

      - -

Hm...I think Indonesia is somewhat at our country's level. I'm not sure what Indonesia did wrong though but the other Southeast Asian countries are doing well with their covid response like Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Vietnam is being praise for immediately stopping travel of Chinese to their country. People here including the vice president also wanted that during January when we got our 1st case from the Chinese tourists. They didn't listen because they don't want to hurt China's feelings. Now, China requires people from our country to have a test that we are negative before going to their country.

      - - -

Hm...distraction? These days, it is either that or something is going on. A group of his supporters are advocating for a revolutionary government. They plan to 'overthrow' the current government change it into federalism and change the constitution...and who'll lead them? The current president. ^^; It is for him to continue his promises that were not fulfilled.

Interestingly, a police head knew about this. People are saying that it is practically sedition wherein they can use the new anti-terrorism law to arrest them all. But nope, they say that it is freedom of speech. Hehe, well, you know how it works. If it is their allies, they can alibi everything but if it isn't, arrest/kill.

And, there is another strange thing happening. You know, in other countries, people hold concerts for the doctors and etc for fighting covid. But a group is holding an online concert for the president to cheer him on.

Anyway, I think they are just scared that the vice-president would take over and their happy days are over. Their plan is ruined when the vice-president they wanted, the son of the dictator I told you about lost. So, the president has to hang in there even if he is really sick and tired or else...happy days are over.

Ah, here, we call that 'karma'. Actually people are happy if it happens to the 'bad people' though we have a saying here that 'weeds don't easily die' so...

      - - -

Yup. I guess it is because of that people has given up and just let them be. It is the mentality of they're all the same and let's vote for the lesser evil. Actually, it is also mentioned that people are reluctant to vote new ones since it is better to have the devil they know rather than the one they don't know.

      - - -

Yup. The one that was featured here is a swimming pool filled with people in yellow floats. I guess there is no more virus in those places. I read that Beijing is already saying that it is okay for people not to wear masks anymore. Though, some people still wear them as a precaution and in order for others not to castigate them.

      Delete
    6. Yea, most are still closed in a way that after the lockdown, they couldn't/weren't able to reopen. That man really gets me and I'm only hearing from you, what excuse did he give for that?

Here's the same about authorities going after you if you're not wearing mask. I myself only wear because of that reason and wear I go is a must or else I won't be received. I don't know about most people, tho. I was talking to my friend about these masks, you know, unless it's one of those masks that have air filtering and costs a lot, these home made masks that most everyone's using serve only to look like you care. Most people here suffer to buy food and pay their bills, do you really think they can afford to spend 100+ in a single real mask? Most I've seen are just are just common fabric taken from any old shirt/curtain, and I'm not kidding.
      -
That also happened here, and behold the conspiracy - I told everyone that very early, before february, the govern issued an emergency state to be voted in the congress due to the virus threat. It even made out to some official media, but no one cared. Early feb they had already approved, but didn't declare, also made to the media, again, not a word. Then came the carnival festivities, right after the surge and the flights to everywhere were open up until late april.

I showed them proof, I showed the dates, but I am the crazy one.

Yea, there're some petitions like that over here, too.

Cheer the president? Why? The man has two wives, let them cheer him on. Is the vice there from opposition party?

Aaah, I guess that saying is universal, we have that, too. And most people that know me use it for me, haha.
      -
I see, but having/being forced to vote is already evil and against the democracy they so like to talk about it. Does anything happen if you refuse to vote, there? Here, you practically cease to exist, can't buy, sell or participate in anything public, even your retirement plan might go down the drain.
      -
Well, people there, japan and korea had always used masks, so I don't know about that, but yea, I saw that huge pool, too. Funny that was where the surge was the biggest, right? Did you see what the world health said about it?

    7. He said, 'Don't put color to what I said, we are actually saddened by it. I'm just saying that it could have been worse'.

Ah, that's what the poor here do. Some even used old Styrofoam cups with holes and put it on their mouths. I heard that in Vietnam, instead of arresting those who have no masks, they give masks to those who cannot afford them. Hehe, well, in our side, we also need to have a face shield and they want it long enough to cover the whole face. They don't want just googles and mask underneath. That is definitely more expensive. When the govt suddenly wants it implemented, the cost for it went up due to the demand. I think we were given only two days before they start arresting/fine.

Ah, did you know that earlier, they also want a whole 'shield'/barrier for those who ride the motorcycle driver and passenger behind him. Some argue that they are married couple so it isn't needed. At first, they say to show proof of marriage. One joker would even put a huge wedding picture in front of their motorcycle. Anyway, the couples argue, why do they have to buy that plastic shield when they practically sleep together in the same bed. The government insisted. And, after a lot of people bought it, the govt suddenly says, ah, married couples, no need for the barrier.

      It's something like this: https://philnews.ph/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/barrier3.jpg
Other motorcyclists say that it is dangerous/ prone to accident because of the wind and if a fast truck passes them by.

      - -

Ah, so similar and I guess pretty much in the same situation now.

Cheer him since he is already tired. But as I mentioned, couldn't quit because of circumstances. Some joke if it is already a 'tribute'.

Yes, the vice is from the opposition. After the dictator, the people usually elect the vice from the opposition. Kind of like check-balance in case the president is well, like 'bad'. That is why, the current govt want to change the constitution to 'people should vote both president and vice from the same party'. They claim that it is for unity and well, things can get moving.

Of course, people can see the 'plot' there because of rumors that the president will run for vice so whoever is the nominated president from his party will win, too. They are banking on the president's popularity to make their nominee win. That plot is scrapped since well, he might not last long enough for that kind of scenario.

      Haha...is that so ^^

      - - -

Nope. Nothing happens if you don't vote here. What is feared if you do not vote is someone else will vote using your name. You know, election fraud. Other than that, it is totally okay to vote. Even the dead votes here. That means, the person is already dead but he is still in the list and somehow, managed to vote.

We also have ghost employees here. Like, we are paying people in government who don't actually exist. We just learned that we also have pensioners who are getting pensions at the age of 130. Hehe, maybe you got those kinds there, too.

I'm curious though, what's the reason behind the compulsory to vote. Is it to keep track of your contribution to the country, something like that? There was a proposal here before that those who pay income tax should be the only ones to vote. That is practically saying that the poor cannot vote since they don't vote 'wisely' as claimed by the well-to-do. It isn't necessarily true anymore because a lot of well-to-do voted for the current president.

      - - -

Yup. No, I haven't read what they've said. I only 'read' about the local comments like, how nice, they are celebrating after causing trouble in the world, and something about a conspiracy theory that they sent their sick abroad or have a cure after infecting the world, etc.

      Delete
    8. Of course it could have been worse, imagine if people actually did whatever things he suggested!
      -
Vietnam seems to have it nice, in the terms of good decisions/leadership, over here is the same as there, they didn't even provide masks, so like I said, people are just using whatever to put on their face and pretend to care so they don't get sent to jail. And even if you have symptoms, some still say for you to stay home, until is too late, of course.

It really seems just a political maneuver, it's so sad that is also revolting. That shield stuff in bikes, uuugh, and here I thought I had seen every absurd...
      -
I guess I can understand the thought process of the opposition vice, tho I doubt it'd ever work as intended. Over here, the vice if not for the same, is at least from the same coalition, meaning a public deal was made between their parties.
      -
Haha, yes, I've always had a very fragile health, despite my appearance being of a homeless ogre. So people'd say that I can't die, I could spend days in bed or hospitalized, I'd never die because I was just too bad (looking), haha. Some'd say I scared death to death and was too ugly for hell, so my only chance was giving myself up to Jesus ^^'
      -
Yes, yes, unfortunately we do have those scams over here, the dead not only can vote, but also receive pensions of thousands - much more than the living - and also those filthy rich ghosts, also called oranges over here.

So, if you're fed up you could simply not vote and it'd all be fine? I don't know why it's compulsory here, maybe due to the dictators and slavery, but still I see no reason to force people and penalize them if they don't. I, for an example, would lose my job as a public/state officer/teacher if I don't vote.
      -
They said they couldn't blame people for trying to live normally and they actually encouraged it.

      Delete
    9. Haha, true. Some actually don't make sense though like a cop called out my brother for not wearing a mask...inside a car and he's alone in the car.

      - -

Ah, does the rich/powerful also get away with not following protocol there? There was one paralegal of an activist group who got arrested. When he got out, he already had covid. Apparently, he got it in jail. I wonder what about the others though since the case he was in is a sensational one - the one he is representing has been brutally murdered.

      - - -

Ah, yes, there are times when it doesn't work. Like there, the parties of the pres would form a coalition with the vice so they are kind of in a big political party = they're all the same. It depends on the parties which one -- if they are opposites or the other is paranoid over the other.

      - - -

      Haha...though I don't think the quote refers to looks. ^^;

      - - -

Ah yes, you got them there, too.

      Yup so others tend to encourage others to vote so that the 'bad' won't win. I think it is like in the US. I'm actually wondering if they're checking who you vote for and if the one you vote for wins, you got special benefits. ^^;

      - - -

Oh. I guess that is for the economy so they encourage it?

      Delete
    10. It really doesn't and I've seen the same thing happen over here, alone in the car and still have to use mask. Last thing we need, soon we'd have to be wearing masks in our own home, during meals and showers too.
      -
More or less, they get away with some minor offense or have to pay fee or do volunteer work, stuff like that. They rarely go to jail like anyone else would.
      -
I see, well, over here it's not common to form coalition between opposite parties, but everyone wants to be the one 'ruling' so you know, it works only for them.
      -
Haha, I know, it's just scaled up to that, you see. Hard to kill, hard to die, death must be scared, haha.
      -
One thing that pisses me off is that the main media over here always tend to brush over most of these ghosts when it's from the left parties, but the ones said to be the right, which moves a lot less money, they're always crying about, like really loud, and never say anything regarding the other side. It should be treated bad equally, regardless of money quantity, all of them should be investigated but oh well, I digress.
      -
I bet all their money it doesn't really have to do with that at all. Just double standards, as usual. Besides, what economy is there from a big rave party like that? Lots of tourists? Booking in hotels? Most I can see is selling of alcohol and drugs, which I don't think is legal. T_T

      Delete
    11. True.

      - - -

I see. Well, at least there is some punishment. Here, there is none. Some totally got away with it especially if allies of the government. There is this lawyer whom the govt usually uses as an attack dog against the opposition. He tapes his mask on his face shield. Then, the other day, he isn't wearing a face mask at all claiming that we are just being scared to wear it but covid is actually just a minor thing. What do the police do...give him a warning. If it is the poor, arrest.

      - - -

Haha, true. They have a thing called 'term sharing'. Here, like for House speaker, they say, hey, for three years, it's my turn and for the next three years, it is your turn. But then, one has to be careful of backstabbers who won't do as agreed. Ah, that is expected though of this kind of politicians.

      - - -

      Haha

      - - -

True. I think it depends on the media's bias whether because of being paid or they are scared of. Like in the past admin, the media complains about everything...making everything a big problem. Now, every big problem is treated as small. The past admin is easier to bully and tend to keep quiet. This one, they do massive payback which can ruin one's business if you don't side with them/give them what they want.

      - - -

Hehe, true. If it isn't for the economy, perhaps for the morale of the people? ^^

      Delete
    12. So, if c19 is a minor thing, what is a major? These senseless people, I tell you.
      -
Yea, and it's been a common theory over here that the people who put the current president were actually just testing the waters because they already have substitute for him, from his own inner circle, so to speak. I don't disbelieve because the most common thing we see over here is the so called scissors theater, where one side just pretends to be different and make opposition, but in truth they all work together and want the exact same things.
      -
The crazy part of what you just told me is that it happening here, but with the past admin being the one to bully and still getting away with lots of stuff, much worse tbh.
      -
For the morale, yea, I could believe that if they ever thought to mention that, but they never had and I think it's actually kind of you. I was just like, man, these mf don't care, they really don't care. Set the world on fire and dance around it, haha.

      Delete
    13. Yup.

      - - -

Hm...with a situation like that, doesn't it seem that voting is useless? That is one reason why some people here don't vote.

By the way, is elections coming there soon? I'm just wondering if the current president is planning to run again and what are his current chances?

      - - -

Hehe, I see. I guess they are pretty much the same everywhere.

      - - -

Haha, true. Anyway, I think it is best in cases like this to make the people 'happy' so that they won't entertain thoughts regarding revolt and things like that. Hehe, make them happy enough to spend money = pay taxes = something to put in their pockets.

These days, the govt here I think of all sort of things to tax since a lot of businesses are closed temporarily or permanent. They want to tax everything online since it is flourishing lately with the current situation.

      Delete
    14. Another reason why I don't vote, tho I really don't vote because I don't trust anyone enough for that so at the very least, when bad things happen I'd have a very clean consciousness.

It is, but not for president, that's why I asked, too, because instead of spending money on things that matter to to fight and prevent infection, they spent billions on campaigns...
      -
Yea, you're absolute right about that, for sure. Didn't come to mind before you said, but now that you did, there's really no other reason, or at least a better one.

Of course they'd do that, can't let opportunities to rip people off go like that. The governor of my state tried to tax netflix some time ago, too. And guess what? The delivery system over here is paralyzed, most of the public anyways. Imagine the chaos that's brewing. And the prices for food, especially meat, skyrocketed again. How things are over there?

      Delete
    15. Hehe, I see. No, lesser evil there to vote?

Oh. Oh well, you know where politicians priorities lie.

      - - -

Delivery system...you mean, delivery of products? Prices are somewhat stable here. Most people are buying less or what's necessary unless you are rich. Lots of food online sellers especially those who cater to restaurants.

This month, they are hoping to flatten the curve.

Guess what's crazy thing is happening here? We have a infamous polluted bay in the city. It is so dirty that swimming isn't allowed. The city waste are all dumped there and multiple admins had passed, it cannot be thoroughly cleaned.

      Now, the department of natural resources had a bright idea of dumping white synthetic sand on it to make it like a famous white sand beach here. It is something called dolomite. It is still debated if that thing is safe. It is mined from the province. Amusingly, that province claimed that they have no idea that it was taken from their place. Then, the secretary of that department said, he also has no idea where that sand was taken from. ^^;

So, some people are saying, hey, it is nice to have white sand on that bay = for pictures. Others say, just wait for typhoon, high tide, etc, all of that will be washed away. You see, the street near that bay is always flooded when there's a typhoon. The sea waves hitting that place can be pretty high so during typhoon, all the garbage are thrown on the street beside it.

Of course, the bottomline is, do we really need to spend 300+ million to put white sand on that bay when we have a pandemic and the govt is always saying that it doesn't have money so we have to borrow more? Secretary says, well, it was a budget from last year. Tiktok guy says that it is to help the mental health of the people during this pandemic. The vp says, isn't it better to like solve the cause of the mental problem = pandemic rather than doing that? Can't that money be realign instead of doing that since we have a pandemic right now?

And, the govt will probably think of other excuses for it...there is surely a kickback there. Interestingly, there are people interested in reclaiming that place...Chinese that is, so maybe that sand is part of putting the foundation for it?

      Then, the congress has a new bill that is the country's new way of greeting people. Lol. Put your hand on your chest, nod-look down and smile. I'm thinking something like they want a trademark like in Thai, hands together and bow? Hehe...right, that is important right now. ^^;

      Ah, so many distractions...

      Delete
    16. No, not really. Like we were saying earlier, even the new candidates have their connections to the same old, so there's really no choice. In order to avoid even more taxes, I need to vote, but I can nullify it so I do it.
      -
Yea, all of it, really, like mails/post offices, too.

You said it all, so many distractions, and that white sand in a polluted bay is preposterous, downright insulting everyone who's suffering due to this insanely bad administration. At least the vp guy seems to know what to do/want to do the right thing, for now.

That's really heartbreaking and depressing, stuff like that really hit, uh? What about the trolls? Are they not coming up with bad jokes to try and light the mood?

      Delete
    17. Ah, I see.

      - - -

Oh, so it is going to be bad. Here, delivery is doing good especially online ones. Before, it was bad due to the strict lockdown. It is so bad that trucks of vegetables are thrown away because they cannot be delivered and people in the lockdown have no food because a lot of stores is closed = no work = no money to buy. Ah, that is because of incompetence due to the police/military in the checkpoints that kept on asking new requirements for food deliveries. Since they want the economy to open/go up again, deliveries and stuff are going smoothly.

      - - -

Yup. The VP is actually a woman. She seems quite decent compared to the rest especially since her deceased husband is well known for being a good and honest mayor who did a lot of good things in their place like empowering the people and transparency = show where the money went. She doesn't want to do anything bad to ruin his reputation.

You can say that how she is placed in that position is like destiny/God's will. The original one who will be the vp candidate wanted to be president. So, the opposition just asked her hey, want to be my vp. She took up the challenge and from the lowest rank = never heard nationally to first rank in surveys, right about time during the elections.

It is a close race so the 2nd in place kept on saying he was cheated. That guy is the dictator's son. They did an election recount and she actually gained more votes. I don't know what happened with that counting because last I heard is that he wanted another recount which is against the rules. Well, you know, rules can be bent here.

Anyway, so far, she has been doing the right things. Well, even before, even if they gave her the smallest budget. Her supporters say, can you imagine the things she can do if she has a bigger budget? Of course, she is not perfect and some would make a big deal about it even if the others are doing much worse.

There are many jokes going around and sometimes, you don't know whether to laugh or cry or get angry since all of that is happening in real life. I mean, it is becoming 'not funny anymore'. Some say that they are trying to tire the people out with all the distractions from govt scams, covid, president health, etc.

Ah, yes, there is a joke wherein they say, can the govt at least unleash one stupidity a day and not more than one per day? Too many stupid ideas, bills, orders, etc and the the excuses, arguments, etc to defend those. There is a comic compilation for it called 'entries to the 2020 national dumb-ass idea competition'.

    18. Makes you think, if these vegetables/food were going to be thrown away, why not give them instead? It's not like anyone'd be losing more. But at least now things are doing better, it seems, good.
      -
Hopefully she's one of a kind and an actual 'good doer', hard to believe, but anything's possible. If she could succeed that clown right away... But then I think how things are over here, for some reason, a lot of people want the current admin to fail so they can say even the "better/best" one failed, too, so put/choose us back.
      -
Yea, I feel like that over here, so many things that you wouldn't think any sane person could do/say, but it happens every single day, especially from the judiciary. When things start to get on track, they do/say some stupid stuff and all hell break loose again. Then the media and the opposition parties and their militants, that is, when the admin doesn't shoot itself. Quite the bizarre circle.

      Delete
    19. Yup.

      - - -

Ya, but it is still hard if everyone else aren't like her. As you mentioned, they would want the current admin to fail or even deliberately sabotage/spread fake news, etc. For her to succeed the current one, it would be a huge task because of the huge debt that they are going to leave the next admin.

The next admin would have to pay the debt so less money for improvements and stuff then, they would say that this admin didn't do anything so let's vote for the old one again. You see, we have just finished paying for the debt that dictator made us have. The last admin have a lot of savings. Now, it is all gone and we are in debt again. During the first two years, this admin has been on a 'around the world' trip with all sorts of hangers on like family and friends + shopping spree. It is also a trend to claim the infrastructure that the last admin started as theirs.

Lol, thinking about it, basically, if there are a lot of money in the govt, those people just couldn't stop themselves from pocketing it. It doesn't help that almost all of them get away with it. Contrast it to some people who are jailed for stealing some canned goods because of hunger. It made people say if you are going to steal, steal lots in order to get away with it.

Haha, that's what they say here. Ah, we voted for this dumb rich guy, no good, let's vote for the intelligent rich one. Nah, no good either and even steals more than usual. It is a usual alibi that it is better to vote for the rich since they are already rich = won't steal.

      - - -

Lol, so same things are happening there. Though here, it is mostly the govt. We have two new distractions. Well, the other one seems to be an issue what they are covering up. First, a certain US military soldier who murdered a transgender woman because he was furious that he didn't know she was a 'he'. They are currently arguing about he should be free for serving certain amount of sentence + good conduct.

While they are arguing that, the president suddenly says, he gives the soldier absolute pardon so he's free to go. So, lots of arguing that he wants death penalty for drug lords and other crimes but a foreigner with a conviction is given a pardon. Is there an exchange for it? The US says that they didn't asked for it. His lawyer says that they didn't ask for it either. So, that's one.

The other one is we would have a new telecom company wherein a huge percent is owned by China Telecom. They are putting up towers/cell sites for their company. Guess where they are going to put some of them? They are going to put them in our military camps. So, people are saying, ah, won't they like spy on our military?

      Delete
    20. Yea, that's tough, the current one over here is also dealing with the debts from the previous, it is gigantic and there are deliberated sabotage from all sides, including their own.

So they are spending "public" money for their private dealings? Same happened and still happens here.

You know, about that not so much of a joke, I always thought that if I'd ever turn into a criminal, I'd rather be a very notorious one. I mean, I'm already down the wrong path so, but that's just me. ^^'
      -
Yes, the judiciary here is pure insanity, I was joking with some people that since most of them are elders, alzheimer must have gotten to them, but them there are some young ones, too so that excuse falls flat. It is crazy how they do everything they can to disgrace the nation. But it's not only them, mind you, the congress presidents are also very, very bad and embarrassing, not that the admins were/are much better.

Would anyone else be freed in that situation? And what was it he didn't know? A prostitute? A marriage?

I don't even consider that like spying anymore, but downright owning. I'd say it's really hard to believe, but seeing how things are crazy over here too, I can't. China also has a space monitor base in Argentina, but the 'scientists' only report to the chinese army...
      -
Well, in other news, did you check any of the recent Shingeki? There are some weird stuff going on, and some late shipping, which is weird, too.

    21. Yup.

Hehe...want to be famous, huh? Or, is that the philosophy of if you are going to do it, do it grandly. =P

      - - -

I see. Pretty much same same. I guess it is like that in most countries but in varying degrees...like how thick-faced will they be especially when caught. I mean in Japan or Korea, if caught, they immediately resign and at times, commit suicide. Our variety apparently doesn't know the meaning of shame.

Nope, no one would be freed...rather, would be freed earlier than usual or even pardoned. Most likely a prostitute/or happy times like met in the bar and want a fling. We have some military exercises here and that soldier is on R&R time. Apparently, they did it and the transgender told him which made him go berserk. During an interview after being caught, he has been calling the transgender 'it'.

Wow. Is that so. Ah, you have a point. Perhaps, we are already sold off but we just didn't know it yet.

      - - -

Actually, no. I'm just waiting for the anime and perhaps, they'll iron out whatever strange things happening in the anime. =P The things happening...the ones we talked about before had caused me to be somewhat 'disconnected' with the series. Haha, so I thought, maybe the anime would make it fun again...and as I mentioned, I don't like the manga art.

      -
Wait, I didn't quite understand. So anyone else'd be freed earlier/pardoned or no one else. The rest I got it, man has serious issues, I see.

Yea, this realization is pretty depressing, but I'd rather know/be aware than live in this illusory state they try to force us.

    23. Ah, I see. ^^

      - -

Usually, the ones pardoned are those who are of old age = you're not popular/has connections. In my lifetime, the famous one was the ex-president who was convicted and on the same day or was it the next day, he was immediately pardoned by that woman president because she hopes that if it ever happens to her, she'll be pardoned, too. She didn't worry about that because during this current admin, she got all her cases dropped/dismissed.

Hm...I think it is the first time used for a foreign prisoner.

      - - -

I see. Hm...is it going to be a train wreck ending? From your point of view that is...

      - - -

Well, we have a new 'crazy' idea this week. It is proposed by the dept of transportation. This week, the 1 meter distance of sitting in public transpo will be reduced to .75 meter. After two weeks, it will be .5 meter. And after two more weeks, it will be .25 meter.

People are asking what's the scientific data to that aside from they want more people in public transpo = more money, more commuters, etc. Then, some secretaries say that they don't approve of it. The transpo group says, you did, here, see, your representative signed it. Lol, now, they are saying hey, we didn't know about that but we'll study it again and ask the medical experts. In the meantime, we are still implementing it.

That usually happens at times. This secretary says this but is opposed by this other one when they are suppose to be in the same team that is in charge of the pandemic. It is a joke now = hey, do you want us to create a chat room for you guys to talk first before implementing new stuff wherein you'll agree to it.

Hm...do that kind of stuff happens there? I mean, regarding the pandemic. Or, it is more or less, ignored and life goes on.

      Delete
    24. That's really weird, but the whole: I'm doing this so whenever it comes my turn I'd be pardoned too is creepy, too calculated, tho it is how things go I guess.

Do you think if it was a soldier from another country it'd have happened, too? Like, someone from Africa, France, Japan or Brasil.
      -
To me it's already a train wreck at this point, but I guess it can kinda fix itself by the actual ending, but my expectations have never been so low for it.
      -
That's so dumb, but so dumb... It's like the mayor in my city making so even less cars could circulate, so all the transportation were full, even more than normal, then going to say he's fighting the disease with the best in mind. That's so dumb that I could not believe.

It happens, but like I said, the whole chaos/confusion happen because people are trying to undermine the current admin, so when it has an actual not too bad of an idea, it gets shut, bad ones pass and the judiciary took the power from the federal and passed it to the local ones, so the only thing the president/federal can do is send money, if at all, like I said, they're trying everything to drag the country down so it paints the admins as even more incompetent than what it normally is.

      Delete
    25. Not really. It is I scratch your back you scratch mine. If you go against, we are going to make things very difficult for you or even worse...you know.

Most likely not. Though we have a joke were people say, but if it is Chinese, it won't take that long to free him/her. It might even be just an overnight.

      - - -

Ah, that's too bad. Hopefully, the ending can save it.

      - - -

That's right. Anyway, thanks to the ruckus, they took it back and say we'll keep the 1 meter distance.

What kind of ideas were shot down? The people don't have a say to it? Here, I guess it depends on what the issue is. Sometimes, they listen but most of the time especially if they'll benefit, they are so stubborn about it and we cannot do anything about it but suffer its consequences later on.
