Holding the burning picture, Hino says, “I don’t want to see this current Kurosaki Haruto even for a little bit.” Tense Yu realizes that picture is taken during Valentine’s day... Haruto darkly says that he doesn’t care what he thinks. “You are to move out [the dorm] within the day.”

He picks up Yu’s boxing glove and pulls her away. Yu calls out, Kuro... He tells her that they’re going back. Watching them leave, Hino steps on the burnt picture and mutters, “...is that girl that important to you? *flustered and tense* What kind of person is this Akabane Yu.”

While following Haruto, Yu thinks that her wrist hurts a bit since he is holding it too tightly. “I can fully feel how angry he is at Hino-kun.” After Haruto uses the card on the dorm’s elevator, he tells her not to go out of the dorm again for today.

As they enter the elevator, Yu apologizes to him. “You ought to be very angry but you stopped me because you don’t want the incident to become more serious, right? ...that person is targeting everyone at your side... and I would even run to see him, and even revealed that we are going steady...”

Ting. The elevator opens and Mina is surprised to see the two. Shocked Yu quickly moves away and thinks that they were seen all alone in the elevator by someone. Mina smiles and asks if Haruto is going out to eat. He tells her that he is going to the dorm leader’s room.

Three first year girls call out that it is the dorm leader and Mina. “Ah, could it be that you guys agreed to meet each other at the common area floor?” Sparkling Mina says is that how they see it.

Aghast Yu is cowering at the side. The girls say that the people in their year also feels that the two of them are a great match... Overhearing this, Haruto tells them, “Akabane is my girlfriend.” While the others look surprised, Mina’s smile froze.

Equally surprised Yu thinks,...huh? Mina manages to laugh and says that he really likes to joke around... And before she can say anything more, Haruto had already pulled Yu to him and kissed her on the lips. Mina is stunned. The other people who had seen it blush and look shock.

Blushing Yu pushes Haruto away and whispers, “Wha...what are you doing in front of so many people...” He tells her not to cover it up anymore since he already told Yusuke.

Puzzled Yu asks when did he tell him!? Smiling Haruto says, “Since Hino wanted me to be all alone forever, then you are going to squarely accompany me at my side.” Surprised Yu blushes over this.

And, the elevator door closes, leaving Mina and the others staring at the closed door. Yu thinks that there’s no need for him to grandly declare their relationship [to them]--- Haruto says that he forgot to go out the elevator.

Outside, they hear screams in disbelief that unexpectedly the Black Prince and Akabane-senapi are a couple-- No way-- Really kissed-- Haruto complains that they’re too noisy.

The next day, everyone is staring at Yu while gossiping.

“It’s her, that is the girl who is going steady with the dorm leader...”

“No way, is it for real-”

Holding a tray of food, Takumi asks why Yu is hiding at that place. Blushing Yu is peeking from the corner.

Yu greets him a good morning and tells him that she’s burning from the heat of everyone’s stare... Sparkling Takumi asks, “Who told you two to PUBLICLY [declare about] GO [-ing] STEADY and KISS IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY. I heard that it is even a French kiss.”

Blushing redder, Yu denies that it is a French kiss. Mako says that there is always someone calling them asking if it is true or not. Bob hair says that Haruto straightforwardly admitted their relationship, congratulations. Yu thanks her.

Haruto sits beside her and asks why her face is so red. “Are you feeling unwell?” Thinking that he would sit at her side, Yu says no, and good morning. While everyone is quietly staring at them, Yu thinks that it is the first time that they’re sitting together for breakfast.

She asks him what happened with Hino afterwards. Haruto tells her that he already did the formalities for Hino to leave the dorm. While Takumi sits at their table, Yu says that they’re in the same junior high, right. Haruto says yes. Takumi says that both of them don’t know Hino during that time.

Yu wonders why a stranger would be so strongly attached to Haruto... She is surprised when Haruto suddenly feeds her with a slice of tomato. He tells her to eat and quickly go to school. Takumi feels sorry for Yu while the others blush over this.

In school, everyone is looking at the couple as they walk to school.

“It turns out that it is for real when the dorm people said that they saw them kiss!”

“Who is Akabane Yu? Wasn’t it Aida Mina?”

“She looks so ordinary.”

Aghast Yu says before this enthusiasm passes, shouldn’t they go to school separately? [<- not to attract too much attention] Haruto darkly tells her not to stand so far away from him. This made her stand near him and thinks that what he said is right.

Someone greets them a good morning. It is Yusuke with a new crop hairstyle. Yu asks what’s with that hairstyle and she was baffled over why he isn’t at the dorm. Just as Takumi arrives, Yusuke says that he wants to tell them about his resolution to change and have a new start... “NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I’LL FOREVER STAND AT YOUR [THEIR] SIDE!”

Yu says that it is great to see Yusuke back to his lively self. Haruto smiles over this. Takumi darkly asks if Yusuke thinks that just by shaving his head, he’ll already forgive him.

Flustered Yusuke exclaims that afterwards, he’ll definitely properly show it [through action]!! Tarako and Meiko greet Yu. Narration: “Honestly speaking, I am anxious but I’m very happy that our friendship didn’t shatter because of it.” In section 2-B, Yu looks determined as she mutters, “-Okay! Bring it on!”

Narration: “I also have to be strong and face this current situation! *her classmates, including others looking through the class’ window and doors, are staring at her* Right now, everyone knows that I’m Kurosaki-kun’s girlfriend. It is possible that someone will call me out, ...huh? Basically, there’s no one who came. *all alone during second period* Or perhaps, they deliberately want to cause me trouble...”

During basketball PE class, the others say that she is quite good, so amazing! Later on, Tarako, together with Meiko, says on contrary, it is too quiet so it makes her uneasy? Yu tells her friends that one day before, she was surrounded by senpai-s and it is a good thing that Haruto happen to pass by so she got away...

Tarako muses that the second year girls really admire Yu. “Because from the start, upon meeting the Black prince, you’re the only one who would dare to directly confront him--” Yu looks surprised.

While Mina is walking at the hallway, a guy calls out to her and says that they heard about that thing regarding Haruto. “It’s really shocking that I thought you’re going to be absent [today].” Mina smiles at them and says that she’s fine.

Takumi overhears guy 1 says that he thinks that she is more compatible with Haruto and this really annoys him. Guy 2 asks if she needs them to go warn Yu [/tell her off] for a while since they are her supporters. With teary eyes, Mina says that she doesn’t like others using violence.

The two were captivated. While guy 2 gestures a heart-sign with his fingers, guy 1 says that they’ll always protect her. After the guys left, Takumi asks what kind of drama is Mina acting. “Do you deliberately want to incite them to do that kind of thing?” [<- I guess he means Mina’s acting is kind of reverse psychology wherein she hints on what to do but says that she doesn’t approve of it.]

Mina says that it has nothing to do with her if they want to go and warn Yu. Takumi says that he thought that after she knew about them, she’ll give up on Haruto.

Mina says, no. “It is just having a girlfriend, that’s all, so why would I give up. *Takumi looks surprised* I still haven’t gotten Kurosaki-kun to discover my charm. *sparkles* And besides, Akabane-san, this person makes a lot of mistakes so it is easy for me to seize the opportunity.”

This made Takumi turn to leave. He stops and says, “—better be a bit careful, first year’s Hino was the main culprit in that key card incident.” Mina looks surprised by this. Takumi leaves while some fangirls say that it is the White Prince.

At the gym, Yu is surrounded by kendo club members. One of them tells her, “Very good! Now, swing it in the air 50 times!” Aghast over how many times she has to do it yet Yu shouts, yes!

Takumi calls out to Haruto who is standing by the gym’s door and asks if Yu has joined the kendo club. Haruto laments that it is training for experience. “We were going back to the dorm just now when all the members of the kendo club dash forward.”

Flashback: Kendo club captain exclaimed, “Kurosaki! I have come to repay the favor for the relay race before! Right now, the two of you have come everyone’s focus, and it is definitely very distressing so let us help you two with all of our abilities!”

Raising up her hand, Yu shouted, “Me! I want to learn some knowledge about kendo!” Haruto darkly asked what is she doing. Yu told him, “If something happens again, I also want to have the ability to fight [/resist]! So, it’s alright, you can go home first.” The kendo people assured Haruto that they’ll be in charge in bringing Yu back to the dorm. End flashback.

Takumi says, “So you’re here to wait for her? Ha ha ha ha” Haruto tells him that he’s not allowed to laugh. Takumi says that he really didn’t think that Haruto would unexpectedly let Yu beat around the bush [/waste effort on unproductive things].

Somewhat flustered, Haruto clicks his tongue. “—right now, our relationship is already exposed. I basically thought that I’ll just go head on [the problem] even if it is troublesome. As long as she's at my side, I can deal with things by myself. But that girl totally can’t keep still and other people would willingly accompany her in beating around the bush.”

Yusuke tells the others to also help in training him!! Yu is surprised to see Yusuke. Haruto muses out loud that right now, it is already totally different from that time in junior high. Takumi smiles and says that this is thanks to Yu.

While Takumi is walking, he recalls Mina saying how can she give up just because Haruto already has a girlfriend. Looking flustered, Takumi asks himself what is he recklessly thinking about.

Dong Dong. The school bell rang. Everyone is gossiping that they heard that Yu is doing ten thousand Kendo practice swings every day! “She’s a super human. I heard that she already achieved professional level in boxing and she can kick the senpai-s down on the floor in a short while.”

Passing by them, Yu thinks that everyone’s gossip is quite exaggerated. While Hino watches her, the others say, “She looks quite ordinary but no wonder she is the one whom the Black Prince chose--”

In section 1-D, ponytailed kouhai exclaims, what, he wants to know what’s going on with Yu at the dorm. <- she is a first year student living in the dorm. Hino tells her that after knowing that they were going steady, he planned to give up on her. Ponytails says that in the end, Hino likes her. “Ah, is that why you suddenly moved out of the dorm!?”

Looking flustered, Hino grabs her shoulder and says, “Right now, senpai [Yu] is getting too much attention that I basically couldn’t talk to her. So, I want to find an opportunity to see her during summer vacation.”

Blushing ponytail asks why is he asking her... He whispers to her ear, “You’re the only one whom I can talk to regarding this thing...” Ponytails exclaims, “-then, leave it to me! I’ll help you!” Hino smiles.

Soon, the cicadas are chirping. The first school term’s closing ceremony is over. Someone shouts, “See you in the next term!” At the dorm, Yu breaths hard after boxing. Looking at her arms, she thinks that this ought to be the result of her training, her muscles are now firm. She borrowed the punching bag from Mizuno.

Going downstairs to take a bath, Yu wonders why everyone are so noisy. She muses that it’s great that this whole month, it has always been safe and peaceful. Then, she overhears someone asking what time does the festival starts. “I can’t wait--”

Yu sees a poster about summer festival at Harumi shrine. She thinks that it is today! “That thing regarding Hino-kun is totally not yet resolved so it would be better not to go to the festival...” Haruto sees her and asks if she took a bath in the daytime.

Surprised Yu calls out to him. She exclaims what he is doing when he is holding her arm. Haruto comments that her muscles didn’t become buff at all. Embarrassed Yu says that she obviously had some muscles after training okay and that is because she already sweat it out. “Let me go!”

Takumi and Yu’s friends have a sheepish smile of feeling sorry for Yu. Takumi calls out to Haruto and says that the clothes have already arrived so does he want to try wearing it. “What are you doing?” <- with Yu. Still holding Yu’s arm, Haruto asks if auntie is for real. [<- ah, Takumi’s mother?]

Irked Yu wonders what Haruto is doing all of a sudden, and it is like this every time! Haruto tells Yu to free her evening tonight since they are going to the festival. Surprised Yu thinks, for real-- Mako and friends are happy for Yu.

Putting all her clothes on the bed, she wonders if this means that they are going out for a date!? Shaking her head, she wonders what should she wear during the festival... “I don’t have any suitable clothes How come it is all training sports clothes, I’m such an idiot!” Knock. Knock. Knock.

Later on, the sun is setting. The people are quite delighted to see the shrine all lit up with lanterns. Dressed up in a yukata, Mina tells Yu that they agreed to meet in front of the arch. “If you walk like that, we’ll be late.”

Struggling to walk, Yu protests that it is quite hard to walk with these wooden clogs. “Isn’t it better that I go and change them...” Smiling Mina says no. “If he sees that you aren’t around, Kurosaki-kun would just go back. Why do you think I specially accompanied you to the store to change into this outfit?”

Aghast Yu says it turns out that is reason. She looks at the side to see a couple. The guy says that the girl is so cute while the girl says that he’s so slow. Yu thinks, “But then, thanks to Aida-san, I was able to wear a yukata... *loud heart beats* This is the first time we are going on a date like this, meeting at some other place...”

A couple of guys call out to them and says that they really look beautiful while wearing the yukata. “Do you want to stroll around together with us?” Aghast Yu exclaims if they were sent by Hino!? Mina wonders what’s up with Yu in this kind of situation.

Puzzled, the guy says, “Hino? –sorry for suddenly talking with you girls. You two are so cute, do you have a boyfriend?” This surprises Yu because it turns to be just an ordinary conversation [/flirting]!?

Just then, one of the guys says, “Ah... About that... Who are you two... boyfriend?” While Yu is busy explaining to the other guy, Haruto quickly grabs Yu to him and says, “She’s mine.” Yu looks surprised. Mina complains why Takumi is still around. Takumi says that he came to stop her from messing around.

As the flirting guy and friends leave, he glances back and says that they’re really so good-looking... Haruto tells blushing Yu not to use such a happy voice while talking with those guys. “...let’s go.” Looking at Haruto, Yu thinks that she didn’t expect Haruto would also wear a yukata...

Haruto calls out to her, “Hey, are you listening? How come you are always staring at me.” Embarrassed Yu says, no...not listening... He holds her hand and tells her not to let go. Yu says, ...yes.

At the side, Hino’s two minions tensely say, “...Hino-kun, it is better for us not to do that.” While looking at the two couples, Hino says, “Don’t be such a killjoy. This is a rare festival so how can we not make a scene here.”

Comment: And, Haruto leveled up his game. ^^ Again and again, Haruto is breaking ‘his rules’ because of Yu ^^ I guess rather than to learn it from others, Haruto decided to be the one who’ll announce their relationship. But then, was it spontaneous since the other girls were talking about him and Mina?

And, not only an announcement, there is even a kiss and a confession of wanting to be with her forever ^^ So, no more hiding their relationship and it seems that Yu isn’t quite used to it especially the attention that it attracts. But then, Haruto is still being Haruto when he sometimes embarrasses her in public. ^^;

Apparently, the other girls aren’t going to bother Yu. The only one who is ‘objecting’ is Hino. We got a glimpse of how Hino works/get others to do his bidding. Well, at least for the girls. For his minions, it ought to be a different way.

Time will tell if Yu’s training will have an outcome. Is it just a waste of time or not? I’m thinking boxing is something she can use if she doesn’t have any weapons and if she can use something, she’ll use her kendo skills.

As to what Hino will try to pull, my first guess would be rape-related stuff but in this kind of set-up, it would be hard to do since Yu isn’t exactly alone and there are a lot of people. Nevertheless, I hope the mangaka won’t pull that and be more creative in writing that scene.

Since Hino mentioned ‘make a scene’, I guess it is something that can be pulled in public. I would think that the goal would be to separate Yu from Haruto and do something to Yu. I’m not too convince that Hino would easily give up on his ‘idol’ and destroy him.

Since this is a festival, perhaps, it is fireworks related and can cause injury since Hino’s minions are hesitant. But then, they don’t seem to be hesitant when they tried to make that billboard fall on Yu and Yusuke. So, is it much worse or there will be more people involved as victims?

Apparently, Mina isn’t going to easily give up on Haruto. It makes me think that she doesn’t consider ‘love’ as a criteria for a partner but more on ‘compatibility’ like what her fanboys think. After all, she believes that if Haruto sees her charm, he would realize that compared to Yu, she is the better girl.

What she told Takumi seemed to have wavered him but thanks to seeing how Haruto changed for Yu during that kendo scene, it is likely that he reaffirmed his decision to help them out. In a way, he probably guessed that Mina will be coming along in that date so he decided to go as ‘bodyguard’ to block Mina’s advances.

Based on Mina looking surprised over Takumi’s warning regarding Hino and for her to be on this date, the chances of ending up with Takumi had gone a bit higher.

The mangaka skipped what we are wondering earlier like where did Hino got that picture of Yu during JR high. It doesn’t seem like Mina is working together with him. She is using her own ways to get Haruto and in this case, it is through Yu.

Hino also didn’t spread that picture around. Could it be that Haruto’s public announcement had already diminished its effectiveness? Or, would it be used later on? He also didn’t use his edge on informing Tarako regarding Yusuke’s ‘fickleness’.

So, unlike in junior high, Haruto is not alone anymore. Takumi is there. I’m not quite sure what kind of role Mina will play here in the festival, good or bad. Hino’s minions are idiots and hesitant to do whatever Hino wants to do. Unlike the sakura tree before, Yu doesn’t want to be a damsel-in-distress waiting for the prince to do all the protecting.
