Corn apologizes and says that it is because he careless did it while he’s confused since he didn’t understand what she is doing. Kyouko lets him off it. Corn tells her that there is something that he still doesn’t understand like what if she actually already forgave ‘Shou-chan’ for wasn’t that ‘thanks’ referring to him. Kyouko acknowledges the fact that she is thankful to him but this and that are two different things. She thinks that if Shou silently went to Tokyo on his own, she thinks that she wouldn’t have the courage of giving up her high school and chased after him, and even if she possibly went to see him during vacation but then, she would have wasted money. Kyouko shouts that her feelings of wanting him to have a huge shock, have not changed and no matter what, she will always accomplish this long-cherished wish. Standing up, Corn says that hearing this made him feel at ease. To Kyouko’s surprise, Corn tells her that actually in the past, he doesn’t like ‘Shou-chan’. Realizing he meant that when they were young, Kyouko says that at time, she totally didn’t notice it. Corn says how she could notice it when at that time, her justice [/mindset] when she was young is, blindly believing in ‘Shou-chan’. This made Kyouko gloomy. He tells her that if he were to carelessly call her name directly [first name basis = they are close], she would shout, ‘Corn, you cannot call me that way’, [as if] he is an existence whom she rejects with all her strength. Kyouko asks if she did that, with all her strength. Corn says she did. He reminds her that she told him that only her mother and future husband Shou-chan can call her that, but Corn should call her ‘Kyouko-chan’. Kyouko becomes gloomy over that horrifying, silly, shocking statement and no wonder she wanted to forget it. Kyouko apologizes to Corn for that past joking matter [/taking back her words] and please discard that into the beautiful sunset. Corn asks if he can directly call her name. Thinking that Hiou and that devil world guy [Reino] already directly call her name, Kyouko says, of course.
This made Corn wide-eye and says, “Then..Kyo” Kyouko suddenly stands up and shouts no, it is still no. This make Corn gloomy so she quickly says it isn’t that he couldn’t call her name but right now, his voice is Tsuruga-senpai’s.. Corn couldn’t accept that so he asks how come he couldn’t when he’s using Ren’s voice. Kyouko gloomily says that it is like a punishment wherein her heart is tightening and she isn’t lying about it. Kyouko thinks that being called ‘Kyouko-chan’ is enough for her facial expression to collapse so if he directly calls her name, her heart might not be able to take it. She tells him that next time they meet, it would be alright. She thinks that next time, he’ll use some other guy’s voice. She says, “Okay? Next time..” Corn isn’t reacting that she recalls how he told her before that they won’t see each other again. Kyouko asks if they can see each other again. Kuon wonders if they meet next time, would he still continue acting this role of fairy ‘Corn’ and if the next situation won’t allow him to do this kind of thing again-- Narration: “Then, until that time..” Kyouko is looking sad as she looks down. He calls out to her, “Kyouko-chan..” She looks up and he gives her a kiss on the lips. Kyouko is so stunned that she wobbles and sits down on the chair. Narration: “..I’ll tell her everything-- Nothing to hide. Along with [/just like] now, the reason for making my heart so warm. Once again, I’ll tell her all of it.” Kyouko starts to blush and shouts his name and asks, “Wwwhhhhyyyy!?” Backing away to the railing of the balcony, Corn calls out, “--Kyouko-chan, it’s really great that I was able to be born in this world. Just by this thing of meeting Kyouko-chan, it made me thankful that I was born in this world as me.” Blushing a bit, Kyouko calls out his name. To her surprise, Corn smiles and jumps up the railing. While standing on the railing, he tells her that he’s going. “Kyouko-chan, thank you. *smiles* Let’s meet[/see] each other again.” This made Kyouko happy then shock since he jumped off the balcony. She trips and quickly runs to the balcony. She couldn’t believe it because he told her that he couldn’t fly. She looks down the balcony and he is already gone. Thinking that they’ll meet each other again, Kyouko smiles and mutters that they have a promise. Next chapter will be out on May 20th in Japan.
Comment: That was a pleasant surprise. Just when I thought that the kiss is over, we actually have a real kiss as in on the lips. ^^ Kyouko isn’t exactly violently reacting over it. Maybe later on, since she is currently hopeful that they’ll see each other again. Lol, maybe she’ll react when she sees Ren and she’ll have all sorts of recollections =P Ren’s fans would probably be disappointed over this kiss but since I’m not rooting for either Ren or Kuon because they are the same person, I think this is nice. It took two pages though, not a spread as I would have wanted. When I first saw it, I’m thinking that he might kiss her as Ren next time to make her realize who he really is =P Nevertheless, the mangaka is such a teaser for this isn’t where he is going to tell all to Kyouko so we would have for next time. Ugh, the wait... But then, the ‘meet again’ might be as Ren/Cain..well, maybe after the shooting? So, maybe it will be soon? Maybe in the next arc? It seems that he also meant a confession there ^^ If this is the last chapter of this arc, I think it is done quite nicely especially Corn’s thank you and see you again speech + kiss and his grand exit which matches his grand entrance. It does seem that he already got his wings back which are true since he doesn’t hate his existence anymore. That is a major thing for Kuon. Hehe, I wonder how Lory would react over that. ^^ This might get his parents excited, if they knew, for they would be reunited soon. ^^ Apparently, Kuon has been bullied when he is young and most probably because of being Japanese and maybe that is why he isn’t really inclined to learn anything Japanese. He probably burned whatever Japanese is related to him. He also probably didn’t tell his parents since he doesn’t want to worry them. In a way, Kuu didn’t suspect it since Kuon’s reason for not learning Japanese make sense and it does happen wherein the younger generation doesn’t have much ties to the country where their parent/s are from. Since Kuon didn’t tell, his parents also didn’t know until it is too late. He probably took some solace with animals and nature until it could no longer suppress the darkness. In a way, it does seem like Kyouko..being bullied before, then now, through acting, Kyouko is playing the ‘bully’ which is what dark Kuon is, though for Kuon, it isn’t acting. He got fed up being ‘beaten up’ and he ends up ‘beating up’ people. I wonder if that guy was a fellow actor or perhaps, a rich fellow actor who has hoodlums to do his bidding. ^^;; Well, we’ll know more of that later on..well, I don’t know how much ‘later on’ in our real time and how long it would take since it seems to be quite some heavy stuff rather than some director firing him as a kid. ^^;; Kyouko may not know it but Shou ought to have the shock of his life coming soon when he learns those two are in love with each other =P Hm..it seems that until the end, Corn is indeed pushing things as he wants her to let him call her by her name. About the kiss, maybe, he lost control and just stole it instead of waiting for her permission =P Anyway, glad that there is no interruption through this meeting. It would be back to the Heel siblings and how would they react. I’m not sure if it is still possible to have a sudden revelation if Kyouko seeing Corn being made into Cain. =P Unless, we have a time skip and would be back in Japan.. Scans by 红莲汉化组
