Narration: “My voice cannot communicate like this..
*Nakaba cries as she struggles to say something within the Arcana* Obviously, he
is always with me. Obviously, he always accompanies me. But, I didn’t know of
his loneliness. And, I’m the one who amplified his loneliness.” In the real
world, Emilia trembles that it worried her brother. Emilia starts to mutter
Nakaba’s name and tell Nakaba not to have that kind of sadness and hurt
feeling. Ceasar asks Emilia what’s going on. Emilia tearfully says that Nakaba
is crying and she doesn’t know this kind of pain. This made Caesar frantically
hug Nakaba and call her name. Within the Arcana, Nakaba thinks that the one who
locked the doors is Loki. She recalls Loki telling her that he has secrets that
he cannot tell anyone so please don’t pursue it further until everything
becomes clear. Then, Nakaba hears the sound of doors unlocking. Nakaba cries
again for it is because Loki is dead. She calls out to him and sees Loki
approaching her then appearing behind her. She faces him and he disappears.
Then, he re-appears before her. He is holding a knife. Nakaba asks him to kill
her and give to her, all of his loneliness and hatred. She urges him to kill
her. Back in the real world, Caesar tells Nakaba that guy told him to heal her
pain but he thinks that it is impossible because that guy’s existence is quite
huge in her heart but even if it is impossible, he won’t give up in healing
her. He begs her to quickly open her eyes. He calls out her name and this made
Nakaba grab the knife that Loki is holding. She starts to apologize to Loki for
she cannot do this. Then, Loki disappears. She looks at her hand and the knife
is also gone. Then, a wolf stands in front of her. The wolf walks away. Nakaba
chases after it and calls it Loki. The wolf enters a door and Nakaba follows
it. Inside, at the Senan throne room, Lito called Loki an idiot for why would
he still separate the country for it is rare for them to defeat the bad royalty
and obviously, it would be good if everyone live together. Loki told him that
even if there are laws and rules, to make the two clans, that hate each other, suddenly
to get along is also of no use. Loki said that mutual hatred will cause war and
in the end, only pain. Lito said is that so. To Loki’s surprise, Lito said that
he always felt that it seems that Loki has changed into someone else. Loki asks
is that so, and this is the real him. Lito says that he is obviously a dog,
acting like a cat. Loki says no, he’s a wolf. Lito said that if Nakaba saw
this, she will be disillusioned. Loki laughed and asked if she would see it.
Lito sadly said that Loki looked lonely when obviously this is what he looked
forward to.
Loki told him that a bit of time is needed for everyone to
notice that they needed each other because there are things that humans cannot
do and there are things that Ajin-s cannot do. “..I also had all sorts of
thoughts. I also want to rebel [against fate?]. But..things turned out this
way.” Lito asked if he’ll still be able to see Nakaba again. Loki paused and muttered,
“..who knows..” Nakaba is puzzled by his response. Nakaba starts running at the
hallway of doors and wondered what Loki is thinking for he mentioned ‘a bit of
time is needed’. She thinks that he ought to hate humans and her, right? “But
like this, it is simply like..” She goes into a door and sees Loki standing in
a snowy land in front of the mountains. She approaches him and Loki collapsed.
While lying down, Loki said, “Papa, mama ..I’m back.” Nakaba realizes that this
is where their village is located. Nakaba is stunned when Loki cried and
muttered, “..I’m sorry. I’ve obviously promised. Obviously..wanted to protect
Nakaba.. Because of my selfishness, I’ve always hurt her.” Nakaba starts
running towards him and shouts to Loki that he did protected her. Thinking that
she hurt him, crying Nakaba kept on apologizing. She thinks that even if it is
already too late, even if her voice can no longer be conveyed to him, despite
that, she still wanted to tell him. Nakaba mutters, “I’m sorry..” Nakaba
freezes when Loki slightly smiles and said, “Don’t cry, Nakaba. You don’t know
anything. There are times when I really hate the you who don’t know anything
but in the end, I still love you. (It’s that kind of loving you) *Nakaba heard
someone calling her name* Quickly.. go back.. to his side..” Nakaba thinks that
is right, he is always calling her, Caesar. She opens her eyes and sits up. She
thinks that her feelings for Caesar connected her back to reality. Nakaba cries
and hugs Caesar. Later on, Nakaba reads the letter from Loki. Loki is giving
Senan back to Nakaba. Afterwards, the royal couple addresses their subjects by
the balcony regarding their island that was once one split into two would become
two countries turned into one. Caesar announces that they will put to an end to
the human and Ajin-s status gap. While the people are muttering, Nakaba walks
forward and says that they must take this step forward in order for people to
move forward. The people agree and cheer them on. The royal couple is happy
over their reaction. Nakaba welcomes Leo and Gadi. Lala is reunited with Theo. Lito
helps Adele in carrying his things. And, the last scene is pregnant Nakaba with
Caesar. Narration: “Loki, your hatred and love is like that step. I wish that
this step would lead us toward the dawn of time.” The End.
Comment: Finally,
it is out. Usually, if it takes a long time for me to read the continuation, I
tend to lose interest. And well, that death scene really moved me to tears starting
from Loki’s monologue to their parents that he’s back. That is so sad. In a
way, Loki is conflicted over his emotions whether towards Nakaba or humans but
in the end, it seems that his love/like for them won over him that he led the
way to give them a happy ending. It is understandable that at first Nakaba
wants to commit suicide as retribution for Loki’s unhappiness but it does seem
a bit corny to me. Well, maybe cliché that Caesar is calling her back to
reality and for her to snap out of those suicidal thoughts. Somehow, for me,
Loki’s death scene overshadowed the rest of the chapter’s contents. I find it
hard to be happy for the couple and their future since I’m a bit depressed over
the earlier death scene. ^^;; It makes me think that part was somewhat rushed
even if it is inevitable. Hehe, maybe, it is because I like Loki’s character.
^^; Anyway, overall, the series is quite good and it has that epic feel to it
even if I think the concept could have been developed further to give it some
depth. Maybe more details on politics and background to make it really like an
epic story. There are many characters who were introduced that ended up as
bystanders or totally disappear and I don’t quite care either since I don’t
know much about them. I guess a reason why the mangaka opted for it to be this
way because there is more focus on the love story than the different aspects of
the story. I mentioned that because in Akatsuki no Yona, those were dealt with
but the love story takes a backseat. Even so, the tragedies and irony in this
series are also quite good and very realistic. ^^ As for the characters, they
are all quite good though I’m a bit disappointed with Nakaba since she tends to
be a ‘damsel in distress’ most of the time and always cries when I thought she
would be a stronger female lead based on the first few chapters. In a way, it
seems that among the three, she didn’t sacrifice heavily as the two in terms of
dirtying her hands for them to reach this point. Hehe, I think the mangaka
feels sorry for Loki that she ‘reincarnated’ him to be a character in her new
series, Rokka Melt. There, the Loki-look-a-like is born from a snow country and
seems to be the male lead. =P Anyway, thanks for reading this series. ^_^ This
is one of the series that I’ve summarized from chapter 1 at pitas though I
skipped some chapters...so, thanks again to those who had been reading my
summaries for this series ^-^ Scans by 红莲汉化组

I am sad that Loki died but we at least know that he had no ill intent...
This series was the reason I stumbled over your blog and I LOVE and Appreciate your hard work Kat!! \^_^/
Yup, and you're welcome ^-^
DeleteYa..
Is that so ^^ Thanks for the comment ^-^
Kikou ... ^^
ReplyDeleteTks you Kat .... it's a LONGGGGG story that ends here today with your summary !!! I read it because I love to look at your opinion and to see if we see it in the same way ... beacuase here in France it's ended in december and publisher had made a "coffret" with last volume and the novel. I admit that I din't read yet the novel dur to some circumstances ... but I will ^^ .......
So many tks Kat for your time !!!
You're welcome, zaza ^-^
DeleteYup..finally it ends. Hehe, is that so..well, the Chinese scanlators took their time with this one. ^^; How nice ^^
I've read read some of the chapters some time ago. But somehow, it looked a bit uninteresting because of the sudden marriage of Nakaba. I was quite confused on how come that she and Caesar divorced. Haha. But well, all well ends well.
ReplyDeleteI agree..things seems to have gone a bit boring at that part. They weren't really divorced..and apparently, there's no need for such in their world. ^^;
DeleteYup ^^
Kat, i'm totally agree with your comment, earlier chapters made me think that this manga could be "something" yet the mangaka totally focused on their love story and lost other aspects that could bring this manga more interesting, like you said the the politic, etc
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thank you so much for your hard work Kat :)
That's right, rafaluvika ^^
DeleteThanks for reading ^-^
Just wanted to thank you for translating the end!!! Much appreciated!! I'm tearing up at Loki's death scene. Don't know how I'm gonna get through the chapter when it releases. Even though it made me cry, I love how the author included a death to an important character. Personally, I feel like the stories that make a strong impression in the readers' minds are stories that don't follow the cookie-cutter "everyone lives" because there are tragedies in real life like you said Kat. As much as I would've love for Loki to live and for them all to be a happy family, his death made everything else in the story more meaningful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading ^-^
DeleteYa..that is so..;_;
Indeed..it does make a strong impression. True.
;....; Loookiiiii...he was my fav character... poor him. Im feeling a bit like after Chrno Crusade...
ReplyDeleteYa..Hoho...
DeleteThanks dude. your summaries really help out.
ReplyDeletegood going
Thanks for reading and the comment, kandi ^-^
DeleteThank you! I just read the whole manga in 2 days and was dying because it's only up to Chapter 51 on mangahere. Loved the story, its fun, sad, sometimes the line between good and evil seems blurry, the one thing I missed in this chapter was that Nakaba and Caesar did not have a more romantic reunion on the forest :P. I'll leave that to fanfics...
ReplyDeleteOce again, Thank you Kat!
You're welcome, Laura ^-^
DeleteWow so fast ^^ Indeed..
Thank you... I cried so much when I read about Loki past. Uwaahh... my heart hurt.... Hiks... Hiks...
ReplyDeleteBut in the end, he still love nakaba... Loki you are too kind... even so, its happily ever after...
This is a very nice story, I like it... Thank u for your summary, it helped a lot for someone like me that doesnt understand jappanese or mandarin, hehe... Once again, thank u very much...!!!! ^v^/
You're welcome, Andriana ^-^ I'm assuming farida is your surname? ^^; Sorry, if I'm wrong.

ReplyDeleteYa..poor guy.
DeleteAgree..it was good at first then somehow..
Thanks for reading and the comment, kiki ^-^
Was Loki IN love with her or did he love her like his sister/light of his life?
ReplyDeleteHm..I got the impression that he was in love with her.
DeleteHello!~ Thank you soo much for the summaries! I couldn't wait till the last chapter was released (english). It's a good thing I saw this. Anyways, it was such a sad thing I mean Loki was one of the main character. I kinda felt that there is going to be a twist but I was still shocked. Though, I'm still confused about some stuffs? So Loki did love Nakaba right? I mean he said that he hated her and was jealous of her and was planning on getting revenge on humans. I find Nakaba and Ceasar pairing cute. But I like Nakaba and Loki too!~ (Even if they're siblings >_<)
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading ^-^
DeleteYa..he's a tragic main character. Yup, he love her and yet hate her. Hehe, complicated feelings fitting a complicated character.
You are so detailed in your summaries, that I don't feel like I miss a thing. Thanks so much for your hard work, Kat.
ReplyDeleteI was sad Loki harbored any hate toward her. He was jealous of her human features, but she lived a very tragic life too because of her hair color so life wasn't easy for either of them. His death was painful. He wasn't a wolf to me ever. The hatred was a shock I suppose, and slightly tainted my love of him.
I'm glad they included a pregnant pic of her. It was funny that since their reuniting, they didn't show a single kiss or hint they were intimate..so I was beginning to think they would never be intimate, but guess they were at some point. Ceasar seducing her is at his best, wish I could have got one semi love scene
Thanks for reading and the comment ^-^
DeleteIs that so..but in a way, I think it is somewhat natural to have such feelings if one is in his position nevertheless, I think it is good that the love still overpowers the hatred that we get to have this kind of ending.
Hehe..true. I guess the mangaka did it out of respect of Loki's death scene in the chapter.
Thank you for doing this end summary. It's 2016 now and the manga translation somehow stopped at the previous chapter. I am glad i found it here.
ReplyDeleteIt was so heart wrenching towards the end few chapters that i find it with heavy heart to continues reading till the end.
I wish the ending had been a bit lighter or happier. It's such a painful ending for Loki, who suffered in silence from young till he died.... *sobs*
Thanks for reading, chilicandy ^-^
DeleteYes...that's right...
Thank you for doing this end summary. Wait, how does Loki die?
DeleteThanks for reading, Ricky ^-^
DeleteIirc, Loki was overusing his powers to progress his country. Overuse = shorten lifespan. So, when he is about to use it all up, he went to their village to die.
