Kedamono Kareshi [Chapter 19 ]

Walking around the stalls, Keita comments that the fireworks just now are quite amazing. Blushing Himari glances at Keita and thinks that she never imagined that the person who’ll first go with her to the fireworks display is Keita. Meanwhile, one of Ryou’s friends exclaims about wanting to eat his favorite barbecue. The other friend calls out if he hasn’t eaten enough. Ryou keeps on looking at his cellphone. Then, his friend puts his arm around Ryou and asks him what he thinks of barbecue. Just when Ryou is going to answer, he looks at the side and sees Himari. He is surprised that she is there. When he is about to call her, he notices that she is with Keita. Himari is busy choosing which caramel apple she is going to buy and Keita tells her to hurry up. Holding a caramel apple, Keita teases her that if it is her, this deformed one suits her. Just when Himari is complaining about wanting to choose it herself, Keita pulls her hand and says that they go to the next stall. Then, Himari is smiling. After looking surprised, Ryou looks glum. He calls out to the two and sadly smiles. Himari becomes tense upon remembering his text. Keita comments that it is such a coincidence that he’s also here. Ryou tells him that after club activity ended, everyone went here. Keita is somewhat irked that Himari suddenly pulls her hand away from his holding hand. Keita asks where the others in his club are and is it alright that he isn’t with them. Ryou says that he has something to ask Himari. Angry and impatient Keita asks, ha?

Holding his cellphone, Ryou tells Himari that he had just text her, did she see it. Himari closes her eyes and mentally apologizes to him for she has seen it but didn’t reply. She wonders how she should answer him. She couldn’t say that she saw it but wanted to go to the fireworks display with Keita. She is shock when dark Keita asks if that text is.. Himari tearfully recalls that she lied to Keita about it and it is obvious that he’s in a bad mood about it. Himari is in a crisis for Keita glares at her and Ryou is waiting for her reply. Then, Keita takes Himari’s hand and apologizes to Ryou and says that he has something to do with Himari so they are going ahead. While Keita takes Himari away, Ryou calls out to Keita to wait. Then, he wonders, could it be that he.. While Keita is walking fast, Himari tells him to slow down and about Ryou. Keita tells her to shut up. Himari is scared so she shut up while they keep on walking. By the riverside, Keita stops walking and stares at Himari. She becomes nervous and thinks that if he is angry, he ought to say it straightforwardly. After staring at her, Keita asks, “..could it be that you have fallen in love with me?” While fireworks are lit by the bridge, Himari is stunned. After a long pause and Keita is getting irritated, Himari says that she’s going home. To his shock, Himari immediately runs away. Keita is furious over this. While running, Himari is wondering if she likes Keita and could it be that she had unconsciously like Keita more than Ryou. She is startled when Keita shouts for her to stop there. Then, by the house door, Keita corners Himari at the wall and sternly tells her to sincerely answer his question, she has fallen for him, right.

Comment: And, finally something somewhat major happened even if it is not at all romantic..forcing a girl to admit that she likes him. Right now, I don’t quite care anymore how badly Keita treats Himari since her attitude is starting to really irritate me. ^^; As for Ryou, he’s pretty much just a ‘cannon fodder’ to get things somewhat moving for the two. Hopefully, he isn’t dumb not to realize that there is something going between the two and he won’t get too involved in it since he’ll just get hurt. So, just like the mangaka’s trend, problem solved or somewhat revolved in a chapter then a new problem for the cliffhanger. :P Scans by all★wink汉化组
