And, the chocolate [cup]cakes are done. Sawako tells them that they rest for a while before wrapping them up. Sawako plans to give some to Pin because he always ‘take care’ of them. Ayane nervously asks isn’t this a honmei choco [for loved ones]. Sawako says that it would be better to give everyone luxurious chocolate. Ayane couldn’t believe that all of them are giving Pin chocos and last year, she gave him one, so it is annoying if it is misunderstood. Chizuru is blushing really red for this is like giving it to someone she likes for it is homemade and heart-shaped. Ayane thinks that it is the first time she made something homemade. Sawako is determined to give Shouta chocolate this year. So, Sawako excitedly go to sleep that night for tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. And, it’s V-day, Kent exclaims in class, which stiffens some guys. Shouta is surprised when Kent asks him if he didn’t accept any chocolates last year. Shouta asks how come he knows. Kent says that it is because the girls are crying that he felt that Shouta is a mean guy and he should accept them for they are pitiful. [<- meaning the giri [obligation] choco; refusing is rude.] While Shouta is nervous, Kent seems to want to say something more. To Shouta’s shock, Kent says that he’s pitiful for he wasn’t able to get Sawako’s choco last year. Shouta exclaims how come he knows about that. Kent tells him that Sawako has been holding tightly on the chocolates with such a complicated expression. Shouta and everyone thinks, is that so. Ryu thinks that they are so loud. Then, fangirls give Kent their giri chocolates for him this year. Ayane appears and says that they are quite happy. Kent and fangirls tell her not to worry. Ayane says that she knows already. Then, to Kent’s delight, Ayane invites him to eat together for lunch. Meanwhile, Chizuru is staring at Ryu. She tells him about meeting at the tea classroom during noon break but he asks her about the key. Chizuru freaks out for she forgot about that and the room hasn’t been used for a long time. Ryu suggests instead that they go to the hallway going to the playing field. Ryu smiles and says that he’s really expecting it, this year’s choco. Chizuru exclaims what he is saying as if her plot has been exposed. Walking away, she wonders how come she can’t stay calm but just he wait, for this year isn’t something that costs 10 yen. At the other side of the classroom, Sawako is tensing up if she is going to give it to him now but then, there are a lot of people around Shouta. Shouta suddenly looks at her and Sawako becomes nervous. Joe asks if she is giving the choco to Shouta or to him, and what kind of choco would it be. Shouta tries to stop them but the others are saying that they heard about last year. Shouta shouts for them to shut up and he tells Sawako that he didn’t tell them about it so sorry about that. Awkward silence. Sawako suddenly creepily smiles and walks away.

Then, someone seems to call out to the boys to get some giri choco. Shouta sits down and laments over not helping Sawako and it is possible that she didn’t come to give him chocolates. He has become quite nervous. Sawako is thinking that she shouldn’t give it now for it is super embarrassing for Shouta would be teased. She thinks that just like last year, she doesn’t know when to give it. A teacher calls out to Sawako that she is on duty today so help him in getting the material to be used. Then, some girls call out to Shouta who is washing his face. While Sawako is carrying the materials in class, she overhears some guys complaining about not getting chocos and they hope that they can still get before school dismissal. Sawako is shock when she heard that Shouta already accepted four. Kent tells the guys that Sawako can hear them. Kent apologizes to Sawako and says that he was the one who told them and also told Shouta that it is okay to accept [giri] chocos so don’t blame Shouta and don’t mind it too much. She recalls Ume telling her before that Shouta won’t accept chocos and now, he did, so she hopes that he’ll accept [this time]. This made her more anxious. She quickly erases the blackboard and prepares to give her choco to Shouta but her friends remind her that they are going to give Pin’s choco. The girls go to Pin and give him ‘yoroshiku/taking care of us’ choco. Pin is surprised by this since all three are giving him together and if it is safe to eat since it is homemade. Pin asks what’s up with uneasy Sawako. Sawako is wondering if she’ll give it during noon break or after school since the others are giving it during noon break. Chizuru tells Pin to shut up and eat it. Pin refuses since he’s working. They fuss about giving it to him and Sawako is ‘lost in thought’ so Ayane takes the choco but backs away when Pin looks at her and says, ‘ah’ for he’s busy so feed him. After a lot of fuss, Pin finally tastes it and says it is delicious. Ayane felt that she was really startled by that. Pin tells Sawako to help him with tomorrow’s materials after school since she’s on duty today. So, her friends suggest to Sawako to give it during noon break because they also have their own thing to do. And, just as the teacher arrives in class, Sawako tells Shouta that they are going to eat together during lunch. Shouta exclaims yes and the teacher punishes him by making him answer the first question. Soon, it is noon break. Ayane leaves with Kent. Chizuru is eating fast. Shouta is waiting for Sawako. And, just as they are leaving, a teacher calls out to Sawako to help him with the materials and she can eat while doing it. Sawako is totally freaking out for she is also on duty after school. Shouta smiles and says that she has a lot of work so he’ll help her out and then, they can go home together. Sawako says okay. Then, Shouta sees that it is snowing and wonder if it is his father’s curse that he hopes that it stops snowing.

At some no entry place, Kent is quite happy that it is homemade choco. Ayane says that everyone made it together and Sawako taught them. Kent says that he’s so happy and thank you. “Ah-” She feeds it to him. He tells her that it is delicious. Ayane is glad that he’s so happy. To her surprise, Kent says that he also has something for her. She tells him that today is Vday [only girls give choco] but Kent says that it is alright, he wants to give it to her. He holds the small heart shaped choco and Ayane tries to refuse. He urges her to eat it and she did. She says that it is delicious. He says that hers is more delicious. Ayane thinks that Kent really puts importance to her and she wants to properly cherish him and in the end, can she do it or not, can she properly cherish him or not. At the hallway, Chizuru tries to calm herself by looking out the window but it is snowing really hard. Ryu arrives and she gives him the bag. He stares at it that Chizuru tells him to take it. Taking it, Ryu says that he has guessed it and he’s quite happy. She tells him that the gift is inside. It is a sports glove which she thinks he can use. Ryu thanks her and says that he’ll do his best. Then, he asks if he can eat it. She says yes, quickly eat it. Ryu is surprised to see the heart-shaped choco. Chizuru is shouting that she made it and quickly eat it. Ryu blushes a bit for it is heart-shaped. Chizuru thinks that like this, it seems that she likes him. She asks if he got chocos. He says yes, friendship choco. He says that this is delicious. She thinks that she’s always thinking of Ryu and would this thoughts change into something after he confessed and why would he choose her, why does he think of her as a pink rose. She wants to directly ask him. She is about to ask but she loses her nerve when he looks at her. She tries to say that it is nothing but he holds her hand and presses it on his neck. He asks if she feels it. Her heart is beating fast. He says this is what it is. Chizuru blushes really red as she holds her own neck. She is somewhat confused for he knows that her heart beat is beating fast. She couldn’t think over complicated things. She exclaims that the three-way interview is over and the two of them will stay at this place[/locality] so like the past, things won’t change much but she always felt quite annoyed and she hate this. Ryu calmly calls out her name and says that he won’t be at this place. This puzzles Chizuru. Ryu repeats that he won’t be here for he wants to go to the university and play baseball. Chizuru is stunned. And, this is each of the girls’ Vday—

Comment: For Shouta-Sawako, it seems that their problem is quite minor like when to give the chocos. It seems that Vday ‘hates’ them for they couldn’t find the right timing and they are somewhat traumatized over what happened last year. Since it is snowing hard, Shouta might not be able to stay with her after school for he has a ‘duty’ at home to shovel the snow. As for Kent-Ayane, there are still some scenes that make me think that Ayane might end up with Pin. Actually, in a way, it dampers Kent-Ayane scenes for I would like to feel ‘ah, nice so sweet’ about it but then, at the back of my mind, I get a feeling that Ayane would dump him later on. For now, it is a ‘maybe’ for this couple since Ayane seems to be forcing herself or faking it. Hm..is this how it is when the guy likes the girl more than the girl likes the guy? And, it seems that the couple who would physically separate soon is Chizuru and Ryu. Chizuru is fixated over staying at their hometown for Ryu and it turns out that he won’t be staying. It makes me wonder if that would cause her to change her plans. Maybe, that would make her really confront her feelings for him for things cannot be ‘always like before’. Scans by 夜莺工作室
