 General/Shogun Convert, what Leo is cosplaying, turned out to be a role which Kuu played before. It was a major hit in US along with the Japanese dish, takoyaki (fried batter balls with octopus inside and other condiments on top) which was promoted in the show. Kanae muses that perhaps Leo wore that costume in consideration for the Japanese team. This thrilled everyone from Japan.

Leo greets everyone and thanks them for coming there. He told them that they weren’t randomly selected and they deserve to be there. The ‘Route Project’ is a tentative title. It is planned to be a trilogy hence some of them will have to work together for a long time. He hoped that they will have a good work environment since he will use this movie to showcase their talents. Cedric is shown scowling upon hearing ‘working together for a long time’ and ‘good working environment’.

Meanwhile Murasame, Koga and others have arrived at the airport. Back at the gathering, Leo told everyone to mingle and bond with each other. A certain group of American actors look unapproachable. Kyouko and Kanae were lucky to mingle with a couple of actresses who are into anime. When it was mentioned about Cedric being into Japanese things, the US actress is puzzled even if he did date a Japanese girl named Karen. (I assume she is Kimiko) She told the two that it is Leo who is into Japanese things.

Because Kyouko and Kanae were successful in mingling, the others gather their courage to approach the other US actors but were faced with cold expressions. Apparently, before the gathering, they had a little ‘briefing’ regarding Japanese actors getting jobs due to ‘connections’ from their companies hence they are beneath them = no talent. Cedric seems to be the mastermind of that briefing since he looked pleased with the outcome.

Then, he isn’t quite happy when it was pointed out to him that the two actresses were talking with Kyouko and Kanae. One of the actresses noticed Cedric so she quickly pulls her companion and bids goodbye to Kyouko and Kanae. Kanae wonders out loud about the negative aura with the Americans. This made Kyouko recall her first meeting with Cedric. A lady goes to Leo to talk about Cedric’s expected expression and about the obstacles ahead. Leo quickly left when he found out that Yuki and others are already at the reception room.

Just then, Murasame had seen Leo passed by that he raves about the costume. Koga scolds Murasame about acting too excited that he is embarrassing himself and everyone. The others were very happy to see the two joining them. Just then, an American actor calls out to Murasame and the two look surprised at each other. Kyouko and others seem puzzled over this.

Comment: The filming hasn’t started and Cedric is already causing trouble. I wonder why did he even bother to join this show. Is it just because it is Leo and others’ big production? He wants to show that they cannot act/work with the Japanese and they might be forced to just get Americans?

I also don’t know the other actors who are doing what Cedric expect them to react based on the briefing are thinking. I mean, if they assume the others who are hired are no talents, why bother be in this show? Didn’t they even wonder if Leo and others are stupid and risky enough to get ‘no talents’ for such a big production?

Or for them, they don’t care for bonding and stuff but want to keep things professional. Somehow, it makes me wonder if this is how it really is working in the US if you’re of different race. I’m not sure how it affects the acting and stuff if the work environment is professional in contrast with everyone are ‘happily working’ together. Maybe if it is a serious film, it would be okay as compare to a family/light fare type of show.

I don’t know how smart Cedric is but somehow, this show seems to be a trap for him. It might expose his true self to others. They might want to catch him doing bad things especially when Ren is back. It is definite that he’ll do something once he realizes who Ren is and if Ren is outshining him in this show.
