Free Talk: Kono Oto Tomare 105

Based on Chika’s childhood, apparently, things just got out of hand for him especially since he is left on his own to deal with things and even if he wanted to ask for help, he seems to not want others to get involve into what he gotten himself into. Hence, he didn’t mention his situation to Tetsuki.

I actually wondered if the police even bothered to inform his father that he was just defending himself or it doesn’t really matter to his father at all. In a way, Chika was being bullied. It is indeed a problematic situation. You fight, and you’re at fault, too = bad reputation. If you don’t, they’ll keep on picking on you. From the looks of it then, Chika decided on, can’t defeat them, join them. He is also in a self-destruct situation triggered by what his father said during his drunken state.

I’m guessing his father is some sort of upright man who probably values his reputation. He is already nursing the pain from his wife’s affair and abandonment of the family. Now, there is a troublesome son who keeps reminding him of his wife. I guess, that and along with the pain she gave him, was the reason why he cannot bring himself to love/care about Chika.

Then, there is also stress from work. In a way, just like Chika, his father is dealing with all of this alone and obviously, he cannot cope. He is equating Chika = bad stuff happening in his life one after another. So, in the end, it is indeed a good idea that Chika started living with gramps and eventually, aunt.

Ah, they are from the father’s side, right? So, I guess they realize what is happening and decided to take care of Chika as family. Hm...is it possible that the father asked him to? It is an important factor too that they know who Chika really is. If they also think of him the same way as the father, I think they would be hesitant to take him in.

Given that kind of family situation, I think it is still possible for the father-son to fix their relationship later on. Of course, that will also depend on what is the father’s situation now. Because of what happened to gramps, does he still think that Chika is just trouble and should be ‘given up’ on?

It is good that things changed before Chika crossed the point of no return. There are people who cared enough to pull Chika out of that dark kind of life, starting with gramps. I guess Uzuki miscalculated on gramps eventual influence on Chika because instead of going back to them after what they did, he wanted to play koto.

Hm...I guess the one whom Tetsuki called on the phone is some sort of back up help. I wonder who it is. And, everyone is going to where Chika is. ^^ That will really help and Chika would realize his worth to the others. I hope it won’t put all of them in trouble that they’ll be disqualified. Actually, somehow, I’m hoping that aside from a tracking software, Tetsuki also put in a bug which can record conversations. ^^; Or perhaps, Satowa is recording somehow?

It is amusing that Uzuki just gave Chika the hint regarding how to play the piece. From what Chika mentioned, I think that what he was missing was consciously using the koto to convey his feelings and words that he wasn’t able to freely express and say. Before, I presume that it was a subconscious thing wherein he thinks/expresses using music.

And because of this realization, I think his playing will level up. Hehe, Uzuki also helped him realized that he’ll even prostrate down and everything just to stay with the club. Even if he still thinks that the others can go on without him, he realizes that he doesn’t want to easily leave again.

Well, he’ll realize soon that they want him, too. In a way, he is quite ‘in demand’ that Uzuki and others are resorting to this method to get him back. And, what Suzuka mentioned is true, these delinquents won’t listen to what he’ll say...and they don’t care as long as they get what they want.

If Satowa didn’t intervene, I guess Chika would be in deep trouble and well, point of no return. Not only are they going to frame him again for something that he didn’t do, they are also going to injure his hand so that he really cannot go back to playing koto.

Anyway, I hope Satowa manage to stall things until the others arrive. Hopefully, Satowa won’t let herself become some sort of hostage or exchange for them to get what they want from Chika. In a way, perhaps, Chika will somehow fight back in a defensive manner so that he won’t get too injured that he cannot play and for others to notice and jump to conclusion that he is fighting again.

On a side note, I wonder if it is possible to slip in a love confession while they are in this kind of situation. ^^ And, I hope the author gives some sort of punishment for these delinquents and not just some slap on the wrist-type or even, for them to get away with it. But then, what must be done for them to give up on Chika?

  1. satowa my girl! Honestl, my stomach turns at this sick, toxic obsession. I'm so sorry for chika, he wants to make peace with himself and has suffered enough and then this madman shows up and wallows in Chika's misery. I actually hope that these brats get their punishment and things finally calm down.

Thank you Kat for keeping us updated and for your summaries! I enjoy them =D
