What is certain is what Kanae texted Kyouko. It is, regarding the report, Ren didn't deny it.
From this, I guess we have to be prepared for dragging the misunderstanding. Someone said that she feels that the author is going to separate the two. If so, perhaps, we'll have a time skip? I'll write some more when the scanlation is out.

Comment: I'm not sure what's going on in Ren's mind that he didn't bother to explain things to Kanae or have that kind of expression. One theory that I read from the Chinese comments is that it isn't related to Kanae so Ren isn't going to explain things to her but only to Kyouko.
Since that sad expression kept popping up in Kyouko's mind, it makes me wonder of the possibility that Ren is thinking that this 'obstacle is a reminder of his 'sin' against Rick and this is his punishment. So don't bother.
I'm somewhat confused with Kyouko's last narration. Does it mean that she won't accept any girl with Ren even if she is aware about how scared Ren was regarding romance? So, that would make her feel guilty for not wishing him happiness?
Well, it does seem that Ren will be going back to the US soon. Hopefully, unlike Shou's parents, we'll get to see Ren's mother ^^ And, apparently, Mr. D did help Kuon out before but miscalculated on something. Most likely, the discrimination so Mr. D will do his best this time to protect him.
Amusingly, the current Kuon cannot be easily injured by others. Still, there might still be some PTSD if the opponent is that guy. Still, I wonder what kind of help Lory is dissuading Mr. D from doing that will cause everything to go down the drain. Is it revealing who Ren really is? Like son of Kuu and Juliena?
Oh ya, I recalled that in Tokyo Babylon, the author's previous series, it took a life-threatening incident for the romance to finally progress. Will it be the same here?
So, everyone is going to US soon. The setting will definitely go there. I guess in the next few chapters, we'll get to how Kyouko will also go there. Hm...what are the chances that they make their US debut at the same time? Maybe then, if the series is going to wrap up, we'll get to see them together in one movie/drama.

I'll wait for the translation at Mangarock. Oh well, it's a bit lame that no real progress has been made but I'm glad that some of my premonitions are coming true. Well, it's not certain the autor will do that but I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the same. It's extremely delaying the end of the story, but it's very well thought. Award winning I would say.
Oh well, I wonder how many more chapters will it have. I assume that after the time skip, the autor will expose the progress quicker? Definitely interesting.
P.s: Honestly, after my favorite mangas truly finish I will try to escape new interesting ones. Ahhhhhhhhh, why do they have to last so long. Hurray, completed mangas, HURRAY!!!

Hm, I might go back to watching more anime? I was watching Attack on Titan, Snow White with The Red Hair but I didn't finish them. The thing is when I watch anime one thing happens: I get interested and go check the manga, BUT or the manga is incompleted or it's not exactly as portraited in the anime.
I enjoy anime but it kinda "blows" my mood when it's not the same as in the manga. I came to realize that I don't enjoy fanservice. No matter how cute it is, if it's not in the manga, it's annoying. I know others like it, but I personally don't. If it's not there... That's just me. :3

The translation would fluctuate between all sorts of possibilities, some of which were ridiculous. It's spoilers. Do you want to hear my super unofficial summary?

Kanae talks to Ren, and all I could get was that it was about Kyouko ("that child") and that Kanae asked him about the thing with that actress in the tabloid. I'm not sure how specific that part of the conversation got. Kyouko emails Kanae to ask when she wants to start English conversation practice, and does she want to call her now? She is surprised when Kanae texts back about the situation with Ren instead. Lory is on the phone with someone that he calls Victory Father and he's talking about Ren's parents and Ren and not to mess it up and Ren is going to emerge as a first-class actor (I think). I'm not really sure, but I think he's maybe talking to Mr. D and maybe he has more to do with Ren's family than we knew. The last bit is Kanae telling Kyouko that Ren didn't sleep with (have sex with) the actress in the tabloid. Apparently (from what I can tell) Kanae asked him point blank if he slept with her and he told her no.
There's surely tons more that I didn't understand, and more details, and I probably got some stuff wrong, but that's what I'm figuring based on the weird translation from the app I used.

That seem to be referring to Kyouko who thinks of him as a 'god'. He is free to love anyone but handle it smartly. Kyouko? doesn't want to see a shameful Ren.
Most likely, it made Ren give up on explaining things to Kyouko and probably didn't bothered to explain to Kanae that it was a setup. After all, he was indeed careless. It would make sense then that Kanae wrote to Kyouko that Ren didn't deny the report.
As for the phone call, it makes me wonder if it is a setup to also get Ren to go to the US. In such a scandal, usually, one lays low for a while. My theory is the setting will be US soon. Now, what would be the reason for Kyouko to go to the US? That would be most likely when she already makes a name for herself in Japan and goes to US. So, a time skip?
That's my current take on the chapter...and like you, it might be wrong ^^;
I was very much guessing. Like I said, the app kept flipping through possible translations, some of which were really far-fetched, so I could be way off. I'm really anxious to see a well-translated scan. The group that usually does it quickly hasn't come out with it yet, even though they came out with two other series from the same magazine within a couple of days. I keep checking their page, and so far nothing. *sigh*

DeleteFrom what I got from an unofficial translation from Facebook is that Moko texts back, "Ren is annoying." Confusing Kyoko and causing her to freak out over what Moko may have said or done after she left.

DeleteArgghh!! I wish Ren would just sit down with her and explain everything already! Do it in layers. Start with explaining his past and what he ran away from. Then start to talk about how he first met the girl he loves when he was a kid, when he met her again, he wasn't ready to reveal his identity, how she helped him overcome his past, etc. etc until she realizes that it's her! I can't imagine she would be angry or hurt that he hid that he is Kuon if she knows the whole truth. I would love for them to be a couple as they embark upon this US journey and to be each other's strength as they climb to the top! A power couple! It will be a shame if it's one of those manga where the couple does not get together until the very end of the story, but I'm prepared to expect that anyway. :/
