Promise Cinderella [Chapter 6 - Issei]

Looking at Hayame who is resting her head on the bathtub, Issei asks if she is really feeling ill. Hayame says that her head hurts, she’s cold, feels tired and there are times when she’s nauseous.

Issei says then that isn’t quite reassuring isn’t it. Hayame says possibly. Issei wonders how come Yoshitora hasn’t come back yet.

He is startled when he hears some noise outside the broken window. He stares out but it is all quiet. Then, looking at the mirror, he notices something behind him so he quickly looks out the door.

Looking nervous, Issei tells her to quickly get out of there. “You ought to have enough strength to do that, right.”

Hayame smiles and says that he’s scared. Issei denies it. He asks if she doesn’t feel well because she is staying in that tub that is filled with charms.

Hayame says not at all, on contrary, perhaps, these charms are protecting her. Issei thinks, is that so. And Hayame couldn’t believe that he joined her inside the tub.

Scowling, she tells him that she isn’t telling him to get in, too. Issei says that until Yoshitora comes back, bear with it. She looks at him and asks if this is okay, for them to be so near to each other.

She slightly smiles at him which totally freaks Issei out. He quickly tries to get out of the bathtub but she grabs his hoodie. He curses and tells her to let him go, bastard.

She says, let her say... She holds his face to him and say that she’s kidding. “Ha ha ha you’re really useless.” She lets go of his face and says that her head hurts.

Irked Issei says that next time she does that again, he is going to kill her. Hayame apologizes. She suggests that he use his cellphone to take the picture [of the scary scene].

Issei says that using a cellphone, it can be immediately verified [if it’s a ghost] or not so he doesn’t want that. Hayame says that he is really scared.

Noticing her becoming quiet, he asks her if she isn’t afraid of this kind of things. She tells him anyway, isn’t he here. “I don’t believe in things that I do not see. Anyway, I have already seen so many scarier things.”

Issei asks what kind of things. Hayame says that she careless found a lipstick. “Ha ha ha, this is probably the latest scariest thing that I have seen.”

Issei asks if it is because he had an affair so they divorced. “Really pitiful.” She says ya. Issei asks if the other party also had something wherein he is unsatisfied with her. She says ya. He says ya, that’s really vicious.

After a pause, Hayame says that at first, she really ought to punch him until she’s satisfied. Covering her face, she says that this is really not her style. She wonders what he is unsatisfied with her.

“What kind of person is the other party? Since she uses a lipstick, then she ought to be a feminine woman. Unlike me, she is a very fashionable woman, right. Is she very young? Perhaps, they already have a child... No good, is it because I’m sick that my way of thinking is totally bad...”

She falls unconscious and leans on Issei. Surprised by this, Issei backs away which causes Hayame to fall on the tub’s floor. Issei thinks that startled him. “Is she sleeping?” He notices her labored breathing.

Soon, he puts his hoodie on her and sneezes. He made her sit and lean on his back. He blushes when he notices that her hand is on his. He turns to her and shouts, bastard, if you are awake...

Teary-eyed, Hayame mutters Masahiro’s name in her sleep. Issei looks sad at her. He touches her hand and says, “Stupid woman.” Then, he notices that his hand feels so hot.

He backs away and tells her that she is burning up. He starts slapping her around and tells her to wake up, ugly woman. And, she just lies on the floor when he lets go of her.

Scowling, Issei asks why he... Pulling her up using his arms, he angrily shouts why he has to do this kind of thing. He then touches her chest causing him to immediately throw her down.

Bewildered Issei wonders why he is so bothered by this kind of old woman’s chest. “I’ll just let this kind of woman be.” And, he walks at the side as Hayame is lying on the floor.

At the hallway, Yoshitora is leading the two bodyguards. The bodyguards are carrying an ax and a scythe. Standing in front of the door, Yoshitora says that it is this room.

The guards immediately start to hack through the door with their respective tools. Yoshitora is surprised to see surprised Issei standing behind the door. He is carrying Hayame on his back.

Issei scolds Yoshitora that is very dangerous. “Do you want to kill me?” Yoshitora apologizes and asks what happened. Issei says that it seems that she isn’t feeling well. Pause.

Yoshitora asks if he is going to carry her like that until they go back. Issei shouts why would he do that kind of thing. “Someone immediately replace me in carrying this person!!”

Soon, Baldie is carrying Hayame. Issei tells Yoshitora not to forget to take a picture. “It’s very pitiful to encounter this kind of incident and yet wasn’t able to complete the mission.”

Yoshitora asks if he is talking about him. He smiles and says that he understands. Then, Yoshitora pulls out his pocket and says ah...he forgot the camera again. This irks Issei.

While they are walking out, Hayame wakes up. She is surprised that she is wearing a hoodie jacket. She holds on to the guard again and says, “Issei, thank you.”

Issei stops walking. Scratching his neck, Issei blushes and says annoying to death. And, in the end, it was simply a cold. <- Hayame.

Appendix. After taking a bath, Issei goes to the living room and sees Hayame sleeping on the sofa. He wonders why she is here. “Did she come to drink something?”

He notices that the fever patch is loose so he sticks it back on her forehead. Then, he touches her face. He thinks that she’s so hot and her skin is so smooth like a child’s.

Then, he is startled when she starts sneezing. He thinks that she is really wearing to thin clothes. Taking a blanket, he thinks that this ought to be fine.

And, he says out loud, “But, there are many men in this world. Someone like you, as long as you don’t have a sharp tongue, you’ll be able to find one. I can already see a bit through that forceful[/sharp] side.”

“So, don’t be so depressed... *Yoshitora looks at him while holding a tray of food and water* Ah ha ha ha *blushing and sweating* I’m just talking to myself, that’s all.”

And, he loudly slides open the door and stomps away. Yoshitora is speechless. Hayame slightly wakes up and thinks that she has fallen asleep.

Comment: And, this ought to be the time when Issei starts to fall in love with her. =P In a way, they have both seen each other’s vulnerable sides during this little adventure. Well, this concludes volume one. Scans by 离境汉化组
