There is a sign ‘for sale’ on a vacant lot
overgrown by weeds. Among the weeds, there is a piece of rock with writings on
it. It is written, ‘Gramps~ I’ve picked up this rock during this year’s
training. Chika’.
At Shizu’s place, she holds a rock and says
that Chika has once again brought back a rock he had picked up from the place
where he trained. Chika happily exclaims yes, and this year, it is even bigger
than last year’s! “I used up a lot of effort to find it.”
Shizu asks why his gift = rock... She sighs
and asks him instead how the training was. Chika says that he wasn’t able to
accomplish a single one of his resolutions...
“But, actually, I did a very whatever
something. [<- the hug] *Shizu repeats, whatever something* –afterwards, we
went to listen to the performance of the Nationals’ first placer.” Shizu looks
at him and then smiles. She says that it looks like he got a pretty good
provocation [/stimulation].
Recalling what Lucas and Miran said about
koto being their everything, Chika asks Shizu if his grandfather offered up his
life to koto. Shizu looks surprised. She asks how can he suddenly say that and
he should have asked that question to the person himself because no one knows.
This surprised Chika so he asked instead,
what about her? Drinking her tea, Shizu asks did she offer her life to koto or
not. He tells her to quit talking nonsense. Shizu tells him that every day, she
simply passes the days of her life like how she wanted to.
Chika says that for her to be like that, it’s
really cool. Shizu laughs and asks if it is very cool. Chika says yes. “It is
very cool to be able to live the way that one has decided to live.” Shizu looks
surprised then she pats Chika’s head. This surprises him. He blushes and
quickly backs away. He exclaims what is she doing.
Shizu says that she thinks that if Gen is
around, he ought to do that too. “Just now, you said, ‘very cool’. Doesn’t that
show that you really ‘want to become like that’? That also means that the
current you can squarely face your own future. After a long time, you finally
had already become someone who can love oneself.”
Chika recalls his grandfather telling him
not to give up on himself and he shouldn’t be the first one to give up on
himself. Chika mutters about that thing, saying about loving oneself, it sounds
really stupid...
Irked Shizu exclaims what does he mean it
sounds stupid. “If you don’t love yourself, how can you possibly protect the
people around you.” Surprised Chika exclaims if there is such a thing!? Shizu
tells him to properly love himself. “In order to make yourself happy, to make
yourself blessed, go and strive hard to live on.” Baffled Chika asks happy for
oneself??
Shizu tells him not to think of it in such
a complicated way. “First do the things that you want to do that are in front
of you. Step by step. Right now, what is your biggest desire?” Chika looks
straight at her and says, “I want to play the best piece together with the
current members of the koto club.”
Shizu smiles and says, “Remember that
feeling. This feeling that will make you shine and feverish. It is okay to let
it accumulate bit by bit in your heart.”
In the club room, Sane, Michi and Kouta
blush. They have a stupid looking smile plastered on their faces. While the
others look on, aghast Suzuka tells them not to show that kind of expression.
With flowers all around, the three asks huh, what reaction.
Irked Suzuka tells them to look at their
faces, it had quickly become paralyzed that they had turned into idiots. “Darn,
in the end, I shouldn’t have shown it to you.” Someone shouts why would he do
such a thing!!! “The magazine had praised us up to the heavens!!? In my life,
this is the first time I’ve been praised like that by someone!!”
The title of the article is ‘Shocking
everyone! Tokize High’s performance that moved one’s heart ‘Tenkyuu’.’ Sane and
Kouta say that they’ll make it their family heirloom. Michi asks Suzuka to give
him a photocopy so that he’ll bring it home for his mother to see.
Hiro laughs and admits that really, to be
praised like that, one can’t help but be proud of it. Atsumu exclaims that he
is also very happy [for them]!!! Takezou asks Chika why he is so quiet. Chika
says how can he say it...it feels too unreal that it seems that it isn’t about
them.
Putting his hand on Chika’s shoulder, Sane
says that it is like that because unlike him, they are used to being praised by
others. Patting him on his shoulder, Michi says that no wonder it is Chika,
because he has never been praised so he doesn’t understand how it is to be praised
[by someone]...
This made Chika beat them up that they
shout that they admit defeat. Satowa tells Takezou that he is also very quiet.
Takezou says no...actually, inside, he is specially happy and excited but it is
simply because after hearing Ichiei’s performance, he always had become nervous
until now...
Sane agrees because in the end, it is in a
totally different dimension... Pouting Kouta says that they [Ichiei] even told
them that they are just ‘playing around in a club’. Satowa says but, Ichiei
hasn’t heard them played. Takezou says yes, but it is no good if they were still
continue on practicing like before.
This perks up everyone. Hiro asks if he is
saying that they add more practice time. Takezou says no, they already have no
way of increasing the practice time. “I suppose... it is like what
Takinami-sensei said... Must go into the next stage. *Satowa asks, next
stage...* Yes, we have to increase the density of our practice...
...It is like when we put importance to
each single musical note. We must treat each single practice seriously. It
isn’t just aimlessly practicing repeatedly. Rather, during the course of the
practice, we must continuously grope [/feel around] and continuously be
thorough [about it]. ...but, I’m saying it easily just like that. The problem
is how to concretely do it.”
Chika says that in short, they need to
really concentrate their energy. Takezou nervously laugh. Suzuka asks why they
think that there is some kind of message [/information] in Ichiei’s
performance. “Your performance is seriously treating each single musical note.
On the side of feelings, the message is also very plentiful. What about Ichiei?”
Satowa says that they think of how each
musical note got there. Suzuka says that’s right. The others wonder what that
meant. Suzuka says that it literally means why that musical note was put there.
“What does this musical note mean? What is the reason for the composition to
have this kind of arrangement?”
Aghast Sane asks if those people are
thinking of those kind of things. Michi asks, as a composer, weren’t there some
pieces wherein it just so happen to interest him or perhaps, at that time, he
had a feeling about it and casually write it out...?
Suzuka says that it is alright even if the
piece is casually written. “What’s important is the ‘pondering over’ itself.
Grasping each musical note, consciously pondering over it and giving [/coming
out with] your own answer. With this
foundation, play it with concentration. That way, it will be played with depth
which can reveal a huge amount of message.”
Hiro says speaking of that, when they were
talking with Isaki before regarding ‘charm’, she said that they should first
think about ‘where’ is the musical note’s charm, ‘why is it here’ and ‘what is
its use’. Sane asks how come he already feels tired just by merely listening to
all this.
Kouta cries that his head is also hurting.
Suzuka says that he didn’t say that he wants them to do that. “I’m simply
telling you guys that it is a way of looking at the piece. In performing, there
is no correct answer...
...It is because of this, all the more you
guys have to properly think over yourselves as to what is the performance’s
goal. If you have determined a good goal, you’ll naturally know how it should
be done.” Atsumu looks thoughtful.
Later on, at the top of the stairs leading
to the roof, Natsu is with a girl [from chapter 61]. The girl says, geez, she
wasn’t able to see him throughout the Golden Week vacation and she has been so
lonely. “How’s the training?” He says yes, it was so-so.
The girl whines that when he isn’t in the
club or not at his parttime job, he totally didn’t go on a date with Mika.
Natsu laughs and apologizes to her. Mika tells him to kiss her and she’ll
forgive him. He asks if a kiss will do. Mika says that he didn’t kiss enough,
she won’t forgive him.
As he pulls her to kiss, Natsu notices
blushing Atsumu watching them at ther corner. Later, at the hallway, Atsumu
keeps on apologizing to Natsu. He tells Natsu that he didn’t intend to disturb
them. Natsu says that it’s fine and they should be doing that kind of thing at
school. “So, is something’s up that you came looking for me?”
Atsumu says ah, about that, regarding the
club’s morning practice, they had talked a lot regarding the practice from
today on. “Talking about having what kind of attitude-type of stuff. Even
talked about giving importance to each and every practice. We have to properly
think about what is the goal of the performance.”
Natsu says that it is to talk about that,
huh. He thanks Atsumu for telling him. As Natsu turns to leave, Atsumu asks if
he still won’t come to the morning practice afterwards...? Natsu turns to look
at him. Atsumu asks if he wasn’t happy during the training.
Natsu asks if he means that if he is happy
during the training, he’ll choose to add more time for club activity?
“According to what you’ve said, right now, I’m simply joining the practice for
four days in a week because I wasn’t happy during the training?”
Atsumu looks baffled. After looking at him,
Natsu smiles and says that he doesn’t understand, right? “Sorry for saying some
baffling words.” Then, he goes in the classroom.
At the roof, Chika and other are eating while
having a blank expression. Tetsuki looks at them and asks what’s up with them
again. Kouta tells him that Suzuka told them to properly think of what is their
performance’s goal...
Michi says that it is because they want to
improve their level, they have to think of how to play a bit better. Sane says
but what kind of performance is that... Tetsuki tells them to remove the rice
grains on their faces since they’re dirty to death. Chika asks Tetsuki what he
thinks is a good performance.
Tetsuki replies, how the hell he would
know. Irked Chika shouts in any case, better seriously think about it. Irked
Tetsuki asks why, he should think of that kind of thing himself. Chika shouts
what did he say? Sane says by the way, the tournament is just three months from
now. “During these three months, how can we possibly catch up with Ichiei.
Scowling Chika says that they are not going
to catch up to them, they are going to surpass them. “I always told Satowa,
‘I’ll surpass you’. If I have no way of surpassing those guys, then, I cannot
possibly catch up to Satowa who is FARTHER AHEAD.”
The three looks at Chika and agrees with
him. Michi says but, even if he says that but they don’t have a lot more time.
Sane says that naturally, they have to increase the density of their practice
but then, it is good if there will be more time.
Kouta agrees. He says, after all, compared
to them, the other group have longer amount of time to undergo a higher dense
practice. With a twinkle on his eyes, Chika says that it looks like they have
to sacrifice their time for classes. Tetsuki reminds him that they will be
prohibited by the school from competing. Sane says that they should be leaving
or else, they won’t have time for practice.
Taking huge mouthfuls, Michi says no way. Tetsuki
says that since it is lunch break, how come they won’t eat in the activity room,
and would even run to the roof which is the farthest [from the club]. Turning
to leave, Chika calls him stupid. “Food is at its most delicious when it is
eaten under the blue sky!”
Sane bids Tetsuki goodbye and see him
tomorrow. Hurrying up, Michi tells them to wait for him. As he gets up, Tetsuki
sees a paper falling down. Tetsuki calls out to Michi and says that he dropped
something. Tetsuki reads the note, ‘To do my best in playing out my own koto
sound’.
Blushing Michi quickly grabs the paper from
Tetsuki. He nervously tells Tetsuki that is his task during the training.
“Thinking that I wasn’t able to accomplish this before so I always have it
with... I really suck, right.”
Tetsuki smiles and says that he isn’t, not
one bit. “Gambatte.” Michi looks surprised then he smiles. “Thanks.” Sane calls
out to Michi and asks what he is doing, he’ll be left behind. Michi apologizes.
Tetsuki watches Michi hurrying towards Sane.
In the classroom, Takezou is in deep
thought that Hiro tells him that he has that distressed expression again. Takezou
looks up to her and becomes surprised that she is sitting in front of him. Hiro
asks him what he meant about a high density practice. Takezou sheepishly admits
that obviously he did say that but he doesn’t know how to do about the next
step...
“I felt that even if we go ponder over each
musical note like Ichiei does, we won’t be able to reach that kind of level.
And besides, I even said to properly treat each and every practice but until
now, we are already quite diligent with our practice. Ah, by the way, right
now, shouldn’t we not spend time in researching of a practice method!?”
Hiro says yes, in short, can he first clam
down a bit. Takezou admits that he is possibly a bit anxious. She asks if
Ichiei’s performance is so amazing.
Takezou says that is one reason. “The
person from Ichiei said ‘offer up one’s life’ for koto. Their goal is to become
professionals. So, even if these people graduate, maybe afterwards, they will
still perform together. But for us, this will already be the last opportunity.
*Hiro looks surprised* Even if I know about this thing earlier on but right
now, it suddenly feels so real.”
Somewhat agitated, Hiro says about that, it
isn’t definite. “Don’t say that after graduation, everyone can no longer gather
together, and play koto together.”
Takezou says for her to say that...it is
true. “If we can do that, then I’ll be very happy. But right now, for everyone
to be like this together as we are engrossed in koto every day. This kind of
feeling is truly very special. So, I want to properly cherish this kind of
feeling. Do everything that I can do and have no regrets”
Teary-eyed Hiro exclaims, “Geez-- There are
still three months left before the tournament. Don’t start going all
sentimental-~” Aghast Takezou apologizes and says that he simply wants to make
a clear resolution... Hiro exclaims that she knows that.
After calming herself down, Hiro stands up
and tells him, “...in the coming three months, think of what we can still do.
Do all the things that we can do. Do not let yourselves have a single trace of
regret. Together with everyone, put in our all-out strength to dash forward!!!”
Takezou looks at her and smiles, “Yes.” Narration:
“Together with everyone.” During practice, Michi’s phone suddenly rings. Michi
exclaims that startled him. Sane asks if he has a phone call. Taking his phone,
Michi says it seems so, sorry, he’ll immediately hang it up--...
Michi is surprised to see that it is his
father who is calling. He says that this is rare. He apologizes to the others
and says that he has to take this call. Takezou says it is okay. Michi goes out
of the room and answers the phone.
“Hello, pops? What is it? Ah yes, right
now, I’m at the club-- ...Ha!!? Eh, wa...wait, is she alright!? ...oh,
then...that’s good... Yes. I know already. Then, I’ll go fetch Hana-chan today.
Have you mentioned this to An? ...then, we’ll leave Akitaka and Momo-chan to
An. Okay, I’ll hang up now.”
Michi looks serious. He goes back in. Sane
and Kouta ask what happened since his father called. Michi sheepishly says that
his mom had fallen down at work and it seems that she had a fracture. Sane
exclaims no way, is she alright!!
Michi assures him that she is fine. “Her life
is in no danger. She herself is still quite lively. It is just that, right now,
I have to take my mother’s place in going to the kindergarten school to fetch
my younger sister...Sorry, but can I go ahead?”
Takezou says of course he can and he should
quickly go. “Is there anything that I can help you with...” Michi says that it
is alright, it isn’t any big deal. Michi goes to take his bag. Chika calls out
to him and says that if anything is up, quickly contact them.
Michi looks at Chika. He smiles and says,
“...okay! See you tomorrow!” Chika and Takezou look surprised as Michi leaves.
The door closes. Blurb: “Gradually, everything is starting to go off track.”
Comment: With that blurb, this time around, things won’t exactly go quite
smoothly for Tokize. With only three months left and this happened to Michi’s
mom, his time in practice will definitely decrease. He’ll probably end up in
the same situation as Natsu who doesn’t always practice with them.
But then, given the theme of this series,
that might perhaps lead them to find the goal for their performance. For now,
based on what Chika and Takezou are thinking, it is to perform together and
enjoy this rare opportunity. There is also the pressure to enrich each
practice. To have something that Ichiei doesn’t have in order to beat them.
With the talk of ‘perform together with
this group’ and ‘three more months’/future, I have this feeling that the series
is going to end soon. ^^; Well, the conversation between Chika and Shizu is
quite nice. In a way, the two male leads had grown. Chika loves himself more
and Takezou doesn’t want to have any more regrets.
As for the first years, things did not seem
to have change much. Hm...maybe they can also go for the goal of being together
even if they are physically separated kind of thing? Especially since that
things won’t be the same anymore after the Nationals. Anyway, we’ll just have

ReplyDeleteit is nice to see chika having a grandma figure in his life, and i'm sure his grandpa would've pat him on the head too, indeed i think what shizu (?) said is true instead of focusing of the future just think what to do for the present time and how to pass each day or else ou will be stressed i mean i'm older than them and i still haaven't figured out my future but that's fine as long as one isn't lazying around and doing nothing, also it' nice to see that chika is indeed enjyoing life more than he used to in middle school i think at this point regardless if any of them became professional or not as long as they enjoy this ear then that should be fine, natsu is correct him not being around doesn't mean he didn't enjoy his time but i think people like atsumu will have a hard time decoding this message, i think natsu is simialr to me you can easily tell when i'm mad or sad or angry but when i'm happy no one can tell (except for maybe my family) i think it is a matter ofhaving a hardtimeshowing your inner fealing because it doe look awkward to you also he is not much of a crowd person which i perfectly understand i do hope that they can both be positiveinfluence on each other i mean i'm not expecting a cindrella transformation but maybe little things like natsu oppenning up and atsumu having the courage to express himself. i alwas thought that mitchi was neglected , we had the training camp last ear with kouta then akira arc and sane's growth but nothing for mitchi i'm glad he is having his time to shine tbh i think both mitchi and kuota can be apostive influence on natsu specially mitchi who can't approach people easily , i'm glad takezou didn't get stressed over this and he is handeling it better this time , all of us are looking forward to august (specially me ho will finally havea holiday !) i do hope in whatever way things go wrong they will lead to them finding out that they don't need to be ichie's copies to compete with them

DeleteIndeed. In a way, perhaps, rather than 'focusing on the future', it is knowing one's goal in the immediate future and work towards it. Like now, they are focusing on winning the Nationals =P Or, a more achievable goal, to play the best piece together for the Nationals.

Because Natsu doesn't think happy = more time with everyone, Atsumu would realize that not everyone are the same/react the same as he does. Still, doesn't it seem Natsu isn't interested in Atsumu's report regarding the morning practice? It seems that way. for natsu maybe it is his wayof saying i'm already comitted 4 days/week so having relations outside the club is not his thing and hence things like report on club activity he is not obliged to attend = creating outside club relation which is what he dislikes i think natsu just doesn't know how to handle human relationships (which is fine most of us are)and it will take sometime for him to go to a point wherehe is comfortable with (but i doubt it will reach kuota's level lol) for michi indeed but maybe becuae the time is limited they will figure out a way to make the most out of it?

I would lean towards mom died unless she is the type who can leave her son without a care after divorcing. I don't recall Chika having any memories of the mother.
I actually thought that Natsu knows about Chika because they were in the same junior high. He just got curious over how Chika can change because of this koto club so he also joined. ^^; Natsu did have some sort of yearning for a place to belong but then, when the opportunity presents itself, he hesitates and backs away due to his personality.
If he has an older brother, that theory is possible. I wonder about that possibility before. Regarding Natsu's mother and their family situation, the father doesn't seem to be supporting them so he has to work parttime and the mother has to do overtime/double shifts. Is it possible that she is a 'lover'?

Deleteindeed natsu does know about chika for the reason you stated but in his introduction volume at the final page there was a page saying things like his age , food preference etc and it said he has an older brother and it made me think about this theory morover natsu's mom i doubt she would tell natsu to spend time with "his dad" on golden week unless she is already married to him but maybe he is natsu's biological dad and he is neglecting the family and that's why natsu dislikes him , the natsu chika theory is just a theory i do hope it isn't true because chika's dad sounds already aweful without ruining another family

I'm thinking along that line...biological father who has been neglecting the family. Or perhaps, too busy with work? Work because they can only get together on a holiday. The mother still views the father favorably though given the circumstance...but not the son.

no nothing mentionedabout chika's dad but then again chika's aunt seems to be leading the normal non music life so i'm assuming the dad is thesame and it had nothing to do with music and more with him just disliking chika because in the flashback (in sotawa's re-introduction into the houtsuki group chapter) you could see him being alone since he was young so the aggressive behaviour in middle school is his response to his family environemnt back in elementry school rather than being his real character , maybe the mom died giving borth to chika and that's why the dad hates him so far it's all speculations but i'm glad the aunt /granpa and takaoka were there for him and kurata believed him back in chater 1 or else we wouldn't be seeing this chika today

The way she build the more intensive practice time, friends and future - and this being a "family manga", I'm actually looking forward to the drama, pretty curious to see how it'd all work out in the end;
I've been kinda busy with some side activities and had little to no time for mangas, but KoT is always so good, even when drama is in bound, lol.

Yes. In my place, a lot are bought by the mainland Chinese. Locals cannot compete because they buy it in a high price. The building where our store was located was bought by one. Hopefully, the one where we are now won't be bought and demolished. They are building high rise for storage - business. The ones who buy them are also mainland Chinese due to the high cost.
Buying islands...most likely yes since the government isn't doing anything about it. They keep on saying, we'll verify the presence of the Chinese vessels that are pretty much occupying sand bars, hanging around islands. Even if there are pictures and the people who are there are already saying it to prove that they are there.
We also have a lot of illegal Chinese workers. The government won't do anything about it because China will get angry and deport our legal workers from China. Funny though since China said, we didn't say that. ^^;
It's also midterm elections. Lots of entertainment from wannabe admin senators...they sing, dance, give food, candy, money, t-shirts, etc. The opposition want to challenge them to a debate like what senators do and the admin gave all the possible excuses you can think of.

I'm not sure about a military deal. I haven't heard of it. There was a deal before already that is if we are invaded or something, US will defend. It is a bit vague though. The current admin was talking about cancelling the deal. I'm not sure if they can pull it off since most people trust US more than China.
About selling, somehow, I feel that it is already a done deal. The military guys who were opposing the admin before had become compliant with anything Chinese these days. They want a new telecom player from China. They wanted to install cctv by Chinese. Kind of like 'big brother' that is currently done in China.
Construction for their big infrastructure dreams are from China. They want to borrow from China with a 2-3% interest rather than Japan's 0.25% Their excuse, China is faster. It is speculated that there are kickbacks. I mean, Japan would be stricter with auditing and stuff.
Military and police are given high pay and incentives. They refuse to do the same for teachers and nurses. I guess that is to protect them from any coup/rebellion. The rich who have connections with the Chinese are snapping up all sorts of big deals. The admin threatens the other rich about filing cases so they pay up/suck up so that he'll leave them alone.
The middle class are so-so. Some are against but I think a lot approve of him since he is killing all the poor drug addicts/pushers. They feel safer as long as they're not the ones targeted.
The poor, well, most are killed off if they are drug addicts, pushers and 'accused'. There are stories that the police have a quota of killings that they have to do. If they cannot find one, they just 'frame' one by killing then putting planted evidence. Somewhat ironic that most of them voted for the president.
You'll know that the moral decay has spread when there are these nurses who videotaped a guy who was shot multiple times asking for help while in the ER. He was bleeding and trying to get up from the bed. The nurses snickered and laughed. No one helped him. They all watched. Someone even said about doing laundry. When he tried to get up, they push them down on the bed and hope he'll just die already. Anyway, he is just a 'drug suspect'. The family said that he was framed.

Elections...well, there is singing, dancing, and gift-giving including money from the admin. The opposition are talking to the people per place and ask about their problems and how they can help. One of the stupid admin bet said that the people are there to be entertained and will be bored to death with platforms/what they are going to do in the senate.

In a way, yes. One time, the Chinese president visited here. They broke the protocol. They only carried the Chinese flag and the Chinese president is walking ahead of our own president even the escort. ^^; And, a ranking police chief got the dressing down by a Chinese bodyguard for not shooing away the protesters. They closed down a popular beach area to clean it up. Then, it was revealed that there is a plan to build a Chinese megacasino there. I guess the low point was...a Chinese woman cannot bring her soy beverage in the trains due to a terrorist alert/bombings down south. She made a fuss and threw her beverage on the policeman. It caused an uproar. They plan to let her get away with it but because of the fuss, they are going to deport her. The policeman got a medal for braving the humiliation.
Yup. There are several caught during this admin. Even if they claim to be against corrupt, it is only applicable on their critics/enemies. The government already has the congress, senate and justice dept under them so all caught are free as a bird.
The previous admin also has such cases when they are lenient with their allies especially the incompetent. It isn't perfect but compared to this one, there is no shame anymore. Remember the ex-female president I told you about who became speaker of the house. She seems to be making her last hurrah by tinkering with the budget. They have huge cuts for everyone including the executive and the senate.
They aren't even ashamed of it and just point out, hey, this so-so got a bigger cut, etc. So now, we are reenacting the previous budget. Apparently, as a whistleblower before said before, they cannot moderate their greed. The said whistleblower got jailed though...the real culprits are 'not guilty' by courts. ^^;;

I might be wrong, hopefully I am, I man, it'd be for the better If were actually wrong, but he seems alone. Aside from his family and some very few names, it seems only traitors and opportunists are near him, especially his vice that only does very stupid things - and I don't even know if he does that because he's actually stupid or is ill intended like most other people.
The president here doesn't actually have that kind of power due to how the constitution was written, he could only ask for his supporters to open an investigation or some action in these lines, but then again, his enemies and those minister could/can/may do something even worse.

A central Europe self-guided tour from Italy through Germany. I don't know if it is a mistake that I didn't join a tour but oh well, circumstances led to this situation and there is no such tour. I combined two common tours into one and removed some countries they usually passed by in those tours. ^^; I'm praying and hoping for the best that everything will go smoothly ^^

DeleteI think that's supposed to be the 'normal', like I said, here, all tv stations get some money from the gov as an "incentive", and just so happened that now the gov isn't paying the same huge amount for each anymore - so obvious they're attacking him anyway the can imagine. There's also a partnership with CNN if I'm not mistaken, could be wrong, though.

Well, I just saw a site saying they'll pick Shingeki as a project for this spring - it'll be winter here - so I wasn't completely hallucinating when I mentioned, it'll be earlier than I thought, though.
I use to take a look at some sites like horriblesubs - if the other fansubs didn't pick the anime themselves, else I wait until they finish - then doki, damedesuyo and asenshi fansubs. I used to pick from other a couple other sites, but it's been more than a whole year since they last released something, so I'm pretty sure they aren't subbing anymore.

That's nice, two good and beautiful countries, though Germany's facing a lot of problems right now, and if I were to say anything, it'd be for you to be more cautious there, but it's obvious we always should be cautious, right? Thank you ^^ The encounter I had was in Florence. Really thank God nothing was taken. Italy has lots of 'scams' like if you take a rose, pay for it, etc. In Germany, it is mostly beggars and everyone leaves you alone. Actually, some old ladies offer to help us when we look lost. ^^;
Anyway, we survived and it's quite an experience. The only hassle was lugging around the luggage from one train station to another. So, how are you doing now? Hopefully better ^^
Thank God it went well, and I know the pain of carrying luggage from here to there and then repeat it many times more, lol. Used to travel a lot and when I played in a band we'd do that every single time we'd play, since it wasn't near our place at all, lol.

I'm concerned for them 'cuz I've been reading and seeing a lot of articles and news that paint'em in a light that I'm not really eager to know anytime soon, I mean, from what I've read and watched, it just means a Brazil with more tourists sites and believe it or not, though I love art, I'm not that much into historical structures, though I still love to see them standing in good condition. It hurt when the Notredame was burnt, same way when Brazil's National Museum - where the royal family used to live when they first came here - also was burnt down, those things shake me, but not like seeing a Van Gogh's picture torn apart. I don't know, I'm just weird, lol.

It said next/this year's spring, but I still don't quite believe, wait and see. Hope for the worst and get surprised with the best; so you only used that site? If you're not bothered by english subs, these sites I mentioned are - by a long shot - the better ones, afaik.

I'm actually waiting again for another sick leave booking and then'll also have to wait the results, and though somedays I feel okaysh, my new made exams do show a slightly aggravation on my condition, but nothing to worry about so far, my "real" doctor is a very good one, shame he's not a spine specialist and doesn't do back surgery, the man's really, really good and explain EVERYTHING you need to know about your condition and is always there to help and guide your recovery.

Yup ^^ Thankfully, there are some nice people who helped us out from time to time. One time, a guy helped us voluntarily with both luggage...it turns out that he wants some money. Thankfully, it is the normal cost for a porter = not a ripoff ^^;;
DeleteHm...as a tourist, it's not quite enjoyable that one has to be always on the look out/wary of one's surrounding. I mean, you look at wow how nice and if you're not careful, something might be stolen. Or, in Italy wherein there are notorious scammers like those give you roses/bracelets and if you mistakenly take them...you pay.
Except for Switzerland, iirc, the other places aren't exactly as clean as I expect them to be. Everyone are also smoking and everything. Toilets are almost all has a fee. Hehe, to the point that you have to pay in a McDO even if you ate there. In Italy, you just have a code to get in. In our place, there are also paid toilet = cleaner ones + tissue, lotion, etc vs free toilet = dirtier.
In Italy, they who depend on tourists, approach tourist to engage. In Germany, there is a distance like mostly begging. Or, at times, playing music or making a speech in trains then ask for money. Anyway, it is just a very short time and we are usually with a walking tour...so what have you read?
Hehe...not really weird. I actually don't feel anything ^^; Interesting though...in a certain place in Germany where I went, Dresden, a lot of it were reconstructed after WW2. It was funny like what the tour guide said, they were destroying this and that and then, someone said, hey, we should rebuild that...think of the tourists. :P

DeleteYea, it's unfortunate that things are this way now, people used to tell me that it was awesome, beautiful and really safe about 10y ago, but due to geo-politics nowadays it's all gone to sh*t, pardon the word. Mostly because of those political correct and immigrant problems made EU be what it is as of now, and I fear it'll only guess worse; about the toilets though, that's awful, not even here is that bad, I mean, here you have to be on the lookout anywhere you are - and believe me, I've been to so many places in Brazil that I can't even count anymore, and there was only so few places I could just rest easy and absorb the tour exp. In most of our beaches here you need to be on lookout for any and everything, if you intend do enter the water, you need to have at least more two people with you so one of them stays out of the fun just to watch your things; some places now, the more famous and expensive ones have now some kind of buy a ticket and get a key to store your luggage in private closets, but it's still rare to see'em, unless they expanded it all in these years that I haven't been able to travel.

I think they should preserve any WWII - the bad, the worse and the worser still - because our history is important, we need to look back at it and reflect on it, think of the atrocities and how we can prevent them, but that's just an art lover, history admirer former professor speaking. ^^'

Oh, I read everything, especially geo-politics and philosophy nowadays, I know I shouldn't because politics'll definitely make angry/stressed and philosophy'll make me understand why so I get a bit calmer, but still piss*ed, it's a masochistic thing, but like I said, as an former professor who also used to teach socio-culture, if I don't read/watch these things I feel like really, really giving up all hope - I mean, I still have contact with some students, and most my family and friends comes to me for takes on those matters, so while I stopped completely fighting outside on the streets like I used to, if I don't even know what's happening and can't help those who needs me is kinda, I don't know how to say, sad, I think...

It depends on how many days I got, some times I get 30 days, others 15, then 45 or 60, it's really, really random, so I get all the more stressed about it, but what to do? It is what it is. Actually, my recent exames showed a slight deterioration in my condition, specifically at the cartilage between the vertebrae and they are pressing more the nerves, which causes the stronger pain that I've been feeling - that's why the good and bad days, and when it's good, I can't contain myself and end up doing more than I should and I pay the price afterwards, lol. But it's all good, Kat, I'm not feeling so down like I was sometime ago, I'm trying to implement more exercises - though the doctor said that I should be really careful - I can't do nothing all day, I'm actually getting fat and that only worses my condition, all of them, the pneumonia, the back problem and even the heart condition that I need to do aerobic exercises, all these conditions I was born with it, such good genetics I have, lmao.

Haha, this one is different. They demand for payment and a certain exact amount. I've read that for others, there are some cussing involved and a ruckus if you don't pay for the huge amount. Again, thankfully, the man asked for a small amount...and not like what I've read or even run off with the luggage. ^^;;
DeleteThe places are still beautiful but dirty and smelly. In most websites, they assure you that it is safe <- you won't get killed but just be careful with pickpockets and swindlers/scammers.
I guess in cities with a lot of people, one always has to be on the lookout. I think more so if a tourist carrying a lot of money. That is how it is in our place, too. Someone has to be on guard...even in restaurants. Someone might sit behind you and swipe your unattended bag.
That's a good idea...though those lockers can be quite far away, right? Though you have private beaches there right... Here, the expensive private beaches = no crowd = more safe.

I can understand that. Sometimes, being ignorant is bliss but then, one should know what's going on in the world. Though, it is frustrating if the others don't see it/apathetic and are happily heading towards the lion's den. Actually, it is bad since they are bringing us all there, too.
Even so, take lots of breaks and don't read too much per day. It can be quite depressing/toxic. At times, I take a break from it since it seems like things are already hopeless. And, it's nice to talk with others about it and give them insight on such things which others would have missed ^^
