Last Game [Chapter 56] -Fin-

Flashback: The teacher introduced young Kujou as the new transfer student and she hopes that everyone get along with her. Yanagi thought that she is so plain and gloomy that as a whole, she looks so shabby. Narration: “—That is the day when we first met and who can predict that we’ll welcome a day like this.”

At a church, Souma goes to the reception desk with his invitation. He says that today is a celebration. [<- congrats greeting] The receptionists thank for attending. At the waiting area, Souma is greeted by Fujimoto and the others.

While following the others to the garden, Souma says that it is really such a long time since everyone gathered like this and what’s up with Yoshida’s glasses. Yoshida says indeed, even if they always have small gatherings among themselves and doesn’t he look elite with his glasses. Fujimoto asks when they gathered all together before.

She says that she really didn’t think that the first would be Kujou whereas she [Fujimoto] is almost 27 years old. This surprises Miyabe. <- a researcher of a private company. Yoshida says that he thought that they will do it earlier [than Y&K]. Miyabe timidly says that it is because he took doctorate studies so it hasn’t been two years since he’s at work, so his income is quite grim.
Holding Miyabe’s hands, Fujimoto tells him that she’ll wait for him and she’ll also save money for the wedding!! <- works at a business [/economy] newspaper. Miyabe apologizes and says that he’ll do his best. Yoshida comments that Miyabe didn’t have it easy either. Fujimoto tells them not to just talk about others, how about them senpai-s, do they have a girlfriend..

Yoshida and otaku senpai became timid as Fujimoto says ah yes, she didn’t say anything. Yoshida is in a company that cultivates bacteria colonies while otaku senpai is a robot manufacturer. Yoshida angrily exclaims over that kind of observation when perhaps, he’ll also get a girlfriend!!

And even if he is cultivating bacteria, but that is for a residential environment engineering project! Unfazed Fujimoto says so, does he have a girlfriend. Yoshida finally admits not yet!! Miyabe asks is it true that the two senpai-s are co-renting. The two timidly admits that it is true for, one cannot avoid loneliness when living alone.. Fujimoto says that the two of them are no good for they are dashing towards the main avenue of ‘unable to get a girlfriend’.
Then, she says that Souma is an employee at a corporation and he’s definitely very popular. Souma blushes a bit and says not really. Yoshida exposes him by saying that when Souma just got in the company, he would only say there words, ‘I really cannot go on already..’ ‘I want to go back to my hometown..’. Flashback: Drunk Souma is sobbing. Yoshida looked on. Yanagi is feeling very happy. End flashback.

Souma shouts for Miyabe that he talks too much!! Fujimoto asks if Souma has a girlfriend. Souma says about that..right now, he still doesn’t have.. He becomes gloomy and says, how can he say it— and it is like.. it feels that he wasn’t always able to properly maintain [the relationship]..

It always feel that half-way through the relationship, there would be this ‘it seems that it isn’t quite the same as one imagined it’ feeling and afterwards, he doesn’t know what he should do..which part is wrong..and besides, upon mentioning that he is a farmer’s eldest son, the other party’s face seems to have this ‘you fraud’ look..
...when obviously, his family plans to make his younger brother the successor.. Sharp Fujimoto figures that from the looks of it, it seems like he appears to be a totally handsome guy but actually, he harbors this ‘just graduate from college yet feeling inferior due to having a countryside background that he psychologically thinks that he isn’t popular...’

Tachibana arrives and says so, she told Souma earlier that he made a mistake about the type that suits him for he obviously likes that ‘unfazed tennen boke [natural airhead]’ type. So, at the goukon [group dates], it naturally influences him when he pursue corporate people [as partners]. Souma scowls over that.

Tachibana says that Souma pretends that he is that kind of handsome [/cool] so it is natural for him to fall into this situation. Some women exclaim if it isn’t that female TV anchor[/host], Tachibana. They then ask to take a picture with her. Tachibana happily obliges. Souma says that he’ll rather die than be lectured by her.
Fujimoto thinks that their relationship is as vile as it was before. Souma asks Tachibana if she didn’t know that others’ say [about her], ‘that girl is absolutely two-faced’ [/outwardly kind but inwardly evil]. Tachibana says that is part of her image so shut up. Souma says that speaking of that, he’ll laugh to death if she is still hoping that someone can accept her most real self.

Tachibana tearfully cries that she also didn’t think that she’ll be chosen and she also has no other way!? <- totally failed from being chosen [during the goukon]. With a slight crazed look, she starts to chuckle and says that since it is like that, she’ll just take the first one as the target because she really hates losing. Then, afterwards, the target is getting married to an athlete..!

Souma tells her not to be always so whiny for he isn’t interested in knowing the extent of a female anchor’s dark side. Tachibana asks what, thanks to her, he got to participate in female anchors’ goukon. Souma shouts as if that kind of goukon is held several times...
...and besides, she is really awful in holding her alcohol that every time, at the very end, she’ll cry at one side and at the other side say, ‘I don’t think that I can get married’-something that it’s annoying to death! Tachibana shouts that he’ll even have the nerve to say to her and can he dare to quit calling her on the phone and talk endlessly nonstop [without getting to the point] every time he broke up with someone!?

Amused Fujimoto suggests why don’t the two try and see, about going steady with each other. The two darkly looks at Fujimoto. Both of them say, “Only this person is absolutely impossible.” Wondering if they are ‘bad friends’, Fujimoto looks at her cellphone and thinks, okay, even if they mutually repel each other but in the end, their nature[/character] is very similar—

Otaku senpai exclaims for Momoko-sama to do her best. With a thumbs up, Yoshida says that even if lately everyone says that her popularity is on the decline, and her age is also injuring her image but they will support her from start to end!
While Souma lets out a laugh over this, Tachibana shouts that they are really annoying. <- nowadays, she is deeply distressed over these things. They were interrupted by Yanagi who tells them not to make a big fuss by quarreling here and there at someone else’s wedding. “Can’t you guys calm down a bit?”

As Miyabe congratulates Yanagi, Fujimoto says that Yanagi came in time so give him a glass of juice. Souma asks him to give him a cup of coffee. After thanking Miyabe, Yanagi gloomily says, you people.. As Yanagi starts to mope at the side and mutter that it is simply a mistake to call this people to come, Fujimoto starts to say that she is saying that casually and congratulations-

Souma says as the groom, how come he is still wandering around here. He asks if Yanagi was driven away from the preparation room. Yanagi denies it. He was walking around in front of the bride’s preparation room to wait for Kujou to finish up. <- uneasy as he walking back and forth.
Someone calls out to Yanagi that looking at him makes one feel too distracted so go somewhere else. Yanagi says that is what he was told and it wasn’t being driven away.. Souma whispers to Fujimoto if it is really okay that this person is going to succeed the family business, the Yanagi clan’s corporation..

Fujimoto says that it is alright, it is only with things related to Kujou that he become so disappointing. Yanagi shouts, hey, he can hear them!! <- Yanagi, 27 years old taking advanced studies under the banner of the company.

Yanagi blames it on Fujimoto who said that they cannot let Yanagi see Kujou wearing the wedding gown until the day itself. <- wasn’t able to go together with them in choosing the wedding gown. Flashback: Fujimoto said goodbye to Yanagi and Kujou said that she’ll be going with Fujimoto. Yanagi sweatdropped and asked if he isn’t going? End flashback.
Teary-eyed Yanagi says that if it isn’t like that, it is possible that he’ll calm down a bit or he should say that he obviously wanted to see her selecting the dress very carefully then try wearing it.Fujimoto thinks that Yanagi would do that whenever Kujou ignores him.

Fujimoto comforts Yanagi and says okay, okay, isn’t this anticipating it until the very last moment and that side should almost be ready already. “Besides, we also want to immediately see Mi-chan” Yanagi says, eh--.. Fujimoto thinks that right now, Yanagi really doesn’t want them to see Kujou and he’s so petty [/narrow-minded]..

In front of the room, Yanagi’s father says that it seems that they are already ready inside. Fujimoto congratulates the father who thanks them for coming. After fixing his tie and his heart beat is beating fast, Yanagi tells everyone that he’ll be the first one to see so for the meantime, they are not allowed to go in.
Fujimoto thinks that he is so petty. Yanagi knocks and asks if he can come in. Kujou says yes. With her mother behind her, Kujou is sitting on the chair fully dressed up as a beautiful bride. She calls out to him. Yanagi looks surprised. To Kujou and the others’ surprise, Yanagi goes back out and closes the door behind him.

Fujimoto asks him what’s up. Yanagi says how to do, from the start, always until now, he felt that it is like an endless dream that he totally couldn’t believe that this is for real. <- really not used to being so happy. Thinking that it was a wrong decision to conceal from him the bride’s attire, Fujimoto says, okay, quickly go in for they also want to see the bride.

While she is pushing Yanagi in, he says, ah, hey, la. Kujou slightly smiles upon seeing him. She asks what he is doing. Stunned Yanagi feels that until now, everything is a revolving lantern. Holding his face, he mutters that it turns out that he isn’t dreaming..
Kujou mutters that he cries too often and she is almost had enough of that kind of reaction. Yanagi’s father laughs and says that the bet still has no winners. Yanagi’s mother says that it is because everyone bet that Yanagi will cry. Ryouko asks if he can’t occasionally go beyond the expectation. Yanagi thinks this kind of family..

Fujimoto, together with the others, others comes in and congratulates Kujou. Kujou thanks them for finding time to attend the wedding. Yoshida wholeheartedly congratulates Kujou. Fujimoto says that she is really quite beautiful! Holding a camera, Souma tells Kujou to look at this side. To Yanagi’s surprise, Souma takes Kujou’s picture. Yanagi calls out what did he just took a picture of.

Souma says that he is the one in charge of taking the pictures so after he’ll make it into a photo album at the club[?]. “Do you have any doubt? *pleased with oneself* This is for congratulating you guys.” Yanagi can only curse for that kind of look makes him furious..

He snaps out of it when Fujimoto asks Kujou to tell them about the proposal. Kujou says that Yanagi made her seal her mouth about that so she cannot tell them. Someone asks what Yanagi said. Yanagi won’t tell them. Souma says that in any case, it is similar to the confession.
“In advance, he’ll do all sorts of preparations in wanting to make it play out as a nice surprise so that will be engraved in one’s heart but in the end, Kujou was the one who first proposed to him. It is probably like that.” The others gloomily thinks, ah--.. Yanagi shouts why they easily acknowledged that!! Yanagi says in the end, how is it possible that kind of idea about marriage would be in this girl’s head.

“Being shy is only at the start but after becoming an accountant, work is her sole focus. *everyone is uneasy for the groom exploded his complaints towards the bride on the wedding day* I had been hinting about it but she totally wasn’t aware of it-- I pretended that it is alright and left the O stone in the room but she unexpectedly thought that it is a pickling stone...

...*someone wonders if he is a girl* And the same goes with this wedding.. Even if I ask her if she has any wish. *scene of Kujou said that she doesn’t have any special request so do things as he sees fit* How can she be so stubborn. The wedding venue, the food, the music accompaniment, the souvenirs, I’m the one who decided it all!!”
The guys shudder over that. Kujou says that he looks so happy when he is deciding that and he’ll go from one wedding exhibit to another which is very tiring. Yanagi denies that he is happy and who made her not move a bit. “Then, my most anticipated choosing of the wedding gown has been snatched away by Fujimoto..”

Yanagi looks gloomy as he talk like a broken record that he managed everything for this wedding.. Fujimoto thinks that look, in the end, he’s quite enthusiastic about it. Kujou tells Yanagi that this dress is the one that Fujimoto helped her decide so how about it?

Yanagi says that it is good, and looks not bad at all. <- even if he is frustrated that Fujimoto’s taste is truly original.. Kujou asks if that is all. She stares at him that he thinks, this girl. He leans to her and whispers, “..this is the most beautiful that I have seen you.”
Kujou says that he is also very handsome. <- casual praise. Yanagi laughs and says isn’t that undoubtedly so..!? She finally became aware of it. The others thinks that Kujou already totally got him running in circles.. Then, a girl calls out an apology for the interruption but it is almost time to go to the auditorium.. Fujimoto says okay, and they’ll see each other again later on. Kujou says okay.

Kujou tells her mother that she’ll leave it to her when they walk on the red carpet. Her mother is so nervous that she wants to go to the toilet. Yanagi says that they [others] are still making a ruckus like before. Kujou says that everyone looks very lively so it’s really great. Yanagi agrees with her.

After a pause, he asks her if she can pinch his face for a while. Puzzled Kujou says sure, she can. She pinches his cheek hard. Yanagi shouts that hurts, she can let go!! Angrily holding his cheek, he shouts what she is doing when he has to show his face to others in a while!!
Kujou says that she obviously didn’t put in a lot of strength in it. Yanagi says that her so-called ‘not put in a lot of strength’ is considered a normal person’s full strength. Yanagi says, ah, but right now, he knows that he isn’t having a dream.. Kujou asks what he is saying. He says that because she thinks..

Pulling her to him, he asks, “Kujou, today, you’ll become my wife, right?” Kujou replies, “Yes. And to say it precisely, isn’t it today rather, the day when she enters his family’s registry.” Yanagi asks that she’ll become Yanagi Mikoto? Kujou says yes, and actually, it doesn’t matter to her if their surname isn’t the same but he insisted that they definitely have the same surname.”

Yanagi angrily shouts how come she is always like this, ruining the mood every time!! “Every time, it is like that!!” Kujou asks what did she say wrong and even if he say that but simply calling the surname is indeed very strange. She notices that his hair is messy.
Yanagi goes huh that she tells him to try calling her name. He says, okay. “Ah.. Mikoto.” Fixing his hair, she says, “..Naoto?” After a pause and blush, Yanagi says that feels so strange. Kujou agrees with him. She holds out her left hand to him and says, “..but, I believe that we’ll quickly get used to it because from today on, we’ll be calling each other like that, won’t we?”

After looking surprised, Yanagi smiles. He takes her hand and says, “..indeed!” Narration: “I don’t know since when Kujou started to take the initiative to extend her hand towards me.” At the church, Kujou’s mother calls out to her and puts on the veil on her face. She tearfully congratulates Kujou. Kujou smiles and thanks her.

Narration: “On the day when I first met you. *Yanagi waits at the altar with the priest. Everyone else happily looks on as Kujou walks to the altar with her mother* who’ll ever thought that this kind of day.. *Kujou looks up to see Yanagi teary-eyed* you’ll expectedly come to our side.”

Kujou happily smiles. The priest says, “Groom Naoto, do you willingly promise to take the bride Mikoto as your wife? Whether in sickness or in health, never leaving or forsaking her. Support her and cherish her. Offering your life for her always until death.”
Yanagi says, “Yes, I do.” The priest asks for Kujou’s answer. She says, “Yes, I do.” Their friends happily look on while Tachibana is crying. Narration: “In all likelihood, it is certain that like this, there are all sorts of encounters between people. Knowing and becoming aware of each other, then becoming inseparably close and connected.”

The priest says then, it is the exchange of rings between the groom and the bride. Yanagi puts the ring on Kujou’s left ring finger. He says, “..finally.” Kujou asks what he is referring to. Flashback: Yanagi told Kujou, “If I win, you’ll let me put a ring on your ring finger”. End flashback.

Narration: “—it started from that day, no, it is much earlier on than that day, *young Yanagi pointing at Kujou* I’m constantly chasing.. Constantly pursuing.. *various flashbacks* Always chasing after only you alone.” Yanagi holds the veil and puts it over Kujou’s head. Then, they kiss. He smiles and says that he’ll answer her question just now.
She is surprised when he suddenly hugs her and exclaims, “I’m saying that it’s already game over!” Soon, balloons are floated up the sky as the newly married couple goes out of the church to meet the people. Holding up her cellphone, Fujimoto calls out for Kujou to look at her side so she can take her picture.

Crying Tachibana says that this wedding is really amazing and so moving. Kujou’s mother couldn’t stop the tears that Yanagi’s mother gives her a handkerchief. The senpai-s shout so amazing~ Ryouko’s rival gloats to Ryouko, that she is pregnant and she feels so heavy. Holding a camera, Souma calls out to Kujou to please smile. After looking surprised, Kujou happily smiles and gives him a thumbs up. This made Souma laugh for what is that action.

Souma calls out to Tachibana and says that it can really makes one happy upon seeing the person whom one liked having such a happy smile. Still sobbing, Tachibana says that she also wants to get married.. Souma comments that she really doesn’t listen to what someone is saying. Then, someone shouts for everyone to gather for the souvenir photo.
While they all group together behind the couple, Yanagi calls out to Kujou. Kujou asks what is it. He looks at her and says, “-Let’s have a contest, Kujou.” Kujou asks what he is suddenly saying.

Yanagi says, “After getting married to me, if you are at your happiest, then I win. How about it?” Puzzled Kujou tells him that even if she doesn’t feel that this kind of thing can be considered a contest.. “Then, if you win, what will happen then?”

Narration: “—Afterwards, let’s continue it on.” Yanagi replies, “—if I win, *holds her hands tightly* you’ll forever stay at my side.” Then, to everyone’s amusement, Kujou falls backwards and Yanagi tries to catch her. Narration: “While holding hands, the two of us will go through this never-ending happy life together.” ♥Happy End
Comment: Well, that’s the final chapter. ^^ The first half is dedicated to the others for us to know how they are doing. And, they are pretty much the same as before. Among all of them, it seems that Kujou is the one who has changed. ^^;; Maybe it is the haircut or how she doesn’t seem that overly clueless or overly irritated over Yanagi’s antics that it makes me wonder, is this Kujou? =P

The most amusing part is even if Yanagi and Kujou are super slow in getting together, they beat everyone in getting married. =P Fujimoto and Miyabe have money issues but the others, they just haven’t found their partners. For the senpais, I guess they are seemingly too ‘nerdy’. Even if it is practical to live together, it might not be viewed positively by some women. Actually, they might become too satisfied with the arrangement.

I guess it is an open ending for Souma and Tachibana. They cannot stand each other yet they are probably the only ones who know the other’s real selves. ^^; It’s actually something that even if their relationship is like that, they still keep in touch. So for them, the search is still on.

Yanagi is pretty much the same as before in regards to Kujou. It really makes me think that he is the ‘girl’ in this series. He practically did everything for the wedding when usually, the girls are the ones who are excited about that. =P For Kujou, it seems like a hassle and she isn’t fussy about it.

Still, Yanagi is the type who’ll complain over whatever Kujou wants so it is a wise decision to let him do everything. Anything will do for Kujou and this is a very special day for Yanagi. Apparently, it was also a lot of trouble for Yanagi to propose to Kujou. ^^; I think he should have directly told her than go for hints. ^^;;

Anyway, I think he can rest easy for there won’t be any more of that in married life. It helps that Kujou is slowly becoming aware of such things. So, it is a ‘dream comes true’ for Yanagi. He wins the ‘Last Game’ and to cap things off, he decides to continue the ‘game’ but this time around, Kujou knows about it. But like before, they both ‘win’. ^^

Overall, I think this series is more on comedy with the usual antics repeating over and over until the end. The romance is pretty nice when it appears. It can seem a bit dragging at times especially Kujou’s cluelessness. But as I said, it is more on comedy so that will be quite entertaining if you’re into that kind of thing.

For me, I cannot help think that it is like that Looney Tunes cartoon of the Coyote and the Roadrunner. That seems appropriate with all the chasing. =P The coyote’s antics kept on failing that I start to feel sorry for it. ^^; It is the same with Yanagi. It does seem like they were all mean to him but then, at times, he is asking for it. ^^;

Nevertheless, unlike the cartoon, Yanagi gets his dream come true like any other shoujo series wherein the girl finally gets the guy. In a way, it is a gender reverse and can make things different than the usual. It isn’t always that we get to see a guy crying over a confession, asked to be pinched for it must be a dream and crying on the wedding day. ^^

So, thank you everyone for reading my summaries for this series ^^ Scans by 红莲汉

  1. Thank you Kat, one more story is done.

To be honest, the last chapter is such a let down for me. It feel like Maid-sama all over again. Well, it's shojou so I'll just take it as it is.
With this, after Naruto ending (which made me want to throw bricks to someone) I've been reminded again how important is the last chapter and the last pannel for a manga series (refer to Bakuman, which ironically when Riversi ending was spectacular, but not for Bakuman itself).
As for Last Game, I'll be more content if I tell myself that it end in ch 55 or even ch 3.

But again, thank you again for the summaries. Now I only have Skip Beat left.

    Otsukare!

Hm..because it seems one-sided love? <- based on the two series you mentioned. I wasn't able to finish Bakuman.

    2. well, for this manga I understand that wedding chapter is needed to end their 'Last Game'. But I kinda expecting for FATK ending style than Maid-sama style. FATK also end with all cast wedding picture. I know that this chapter means to be comedy but come on, we have timeskip and everybody (except Mikoto) acting like grade school kids?! Especially Naoto, he even more mature in ch 3. I think Amano-sensei really overdid it this time.
      It's just fan service chapter.

Same as Naruto, I should stop reading at Kaguya arc or abstrub 'NaruSasu Final Fight', but the ending was worse. He give 'conclusion' for the pairing war with bunch of mash up Konoha kids. Seriously Kishimoto sensei! It's shonen, right?! or you just don't have any new character design idea so you just mash up your existing character? I always feel that Naruto is kind of 'DragonBall wannabe' but it fail miserably.

Sorry for ranting here. It seems that you read Naruto too so I guess you understand (what a waste of my 12 years!)

    3. I see. So that's the reason. Hehe..it doesn't help that in some scenes Yanagi is drawn like a kid. ^^;

Hehe..he must be in a rush or the kid must somehow look like a mix of the two/younger version in some way. Since there is a sequel with the kids, it helps that they are like that to know who's who/who their parents are. =P

  2. Thanks for the summary, Kat. The couple looks very lovely at their wedding. :D

This was a nice series. Like your analogy, I also felt that it was more on the comedic side. For a long time one of the things that I noticed was how everyone was so involved in the main couple's relationship, talking openly about, laughing openly about it, making fun openly about the guy's failures, etc and I found it kind of odd and indeed a little annoying. However, I guess it's because it's played to the comedic side.

And you knoe what, it feels like my favorite mangas has been coming to an end one by one. It makes me feels bittersweet sad.

    Thanks again. Love love ^^

  4. Omg thank you very much Kat for the summary!! I've been waiting for this for days! I already saw the Chinese scans two days ago but haven't gotten my hands on the Japanese raws so I can only guess what's happening through the illustrations. You're a lifesaver!

First of all, I'm really really realllllyyy happy for the two of them, especially for Yanagi! I've been following this series for more than 4 years so I can kinda relate to Yanagi's struggle as far as waiting for something to happen is concerned lol. All his hard work finally paid off!! I'm so happy for him I can almost feel the tears flowing. Still, no matter how happy I am for them, I still can't help but feel sad to see my favorite manga end... I'll really miss you guys a lot T____T

The ending might come off as cliche to some but I think out of all the shoujo manga I know that ended with a wedding, I think this is the only manga that has to end this way. It may just be me but unlike others that seemed forced (e.g. Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Koi Dano Ai Dano, Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji), the wedding was actually part of the whole "game" and can only end once they tie the knot. Not to mention that it will be unfair to Yanagi to leave the story hanging with just them dating after a decade of pursuing Kujou lol

Again, I'll really miss Last Game :((. Why do all the manga I am following are suddenly ending all at the same time T___T? It's painful to wait for a month just for one chapter but it's even more painful to have your favorite manga end...

For now, I can only look forward to the last volume of Last Game to listen to the CD Drama and maybe hope that there is an extra chapter included. Also, it would be nice if Amano-sensei will start another series~!

  6. That was a beautiful ending. Yanagi and Kujou's dynamic has been the heart of this manga and I couldn't have hoped for a more fitting conclusion to their "last game". For Yanagi especially, this was a great ending. I like that their personalities didn't change too much over the time-skip, since they complement each other really well. The balance of comedy and romance in this chapter was perfect imo (I thought chapter 55 was a little too comedic), with several highly satisfying and poignant moments between them. Shinobu's art was fantastic at capturing these moments, especially their kiss and the final page.

The side characters were never a significant part of the story (unlike Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun), so I was expecting to be a little disappointed by their endings, but I was pretty satisfied by where they all ended up. Even though Tachibana and Souma aren't in a relationship yet, this chapter seems to foreshadow that they will be, which is more than I was expecting. I never liked Souma all that much, but his bickering with Tachibana has always been enjoyable and a relationship with her would be a good end to his character arc.

The introduction of another "game" at the end was a nice touch. Similar to Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, I'm hoping for an extra chapter or two (maybe one with their children), but this is an excellent ending regardless.

    2. Yup, Redford ^^ Even if for a while there, I thought the joking around by the group will take 3/4 of the chapter. ^^; Indeed ^^

Ya though hopefully, they keep it at that or lessen the bickering rather than for it worsening if ever they get together =P

Ya, I think it's quite good. Hm..was there an extra chapter regarding family and kids with KwMS? Iirc, it was just some flashbacks arc.

      Thanks for reading ^-^

    3. For KwMS, I meant that my hopes are similar. Unfortunately, the only extra KwMS had was an unrelated Tora chapter.

Hm..there is the short series, Toshishita no Otokonoko. Futsuu no Koiko-chan seems to be simple for now though the girl isn't really dense. Namaikizakari but taste will vary since it isn't really 'innocent' and it has some basketball stuff. There is also Hatsu Haru. Similar to that is Watashi-tachi ni wa Kabe ga Aru though I no longer read this one. ^^; That's what I can think of for now.

      =)

    2. Sorry to butt in, but after reading I can't say Watashitachi would be a nice recommendation, I mean, surely is similar in the way that the boy falls first and then try everything to get the girl, but it's not so lighthearted nor tends to the comedic feels of romance, rather the opposite actually. The last few chap, I guess I read 'till 20 or something was kinda cool, sweet and kinky, but if you're looking for something light or that has more comic relief, Watashitachi is not your cup of tea.

Sorry again for butting in like that. T___T

  16. Hi Kat! Thanks for the wonderful summaries <3 I often follow them and I'm a huge fan of your blog. I loved this series so much, and I'm glad to see them married at last! One thing I'm wondering, however, is what will become of the next time capsule they buried in chapter 25. Would you have any idea if there will be an extra featuring another 4th grade class reunion? Thanks so much!

  18. Thanks Kat, as always, very good work.

Nice to see that the story kept to it's premise and anttics 'till the very end. Like were said, there's a bit of gender inversion with Yanagi and Kujou and I confess it was one of the things that made me want to see it to the end, though I had to put it on hold 'cause I couldn't bear the wait and some characters.

The one thing I didn't get was Kujou's faint at the end, what was that? Did Yanagi's propose finally went through her heart and shake her foundations? Or did she simply misstep due to high heels? lol.

    Well, thank you again!
    -
And I hope your next president is a good one. Ours is bad, I mean, there was an impeachment of the previous who was bad and corrupt, now the vice - which is bad and corrupt too - assumed, so, I guess we're doomed? lol.
    -
Thank you, really. I do try and do the most I can to get bet better and not get worse. In the beginning, because of muscle and tendons contractions I got to lose 2cm in height, through physiotherapy I manage to recover and now I must do some yoga and pilates exercises too. Whatever it takes.

Ah, the one thing I miss more than playing is jogging, now that I can't I really get what they mean one doesn't value things once is loses, it rings so true that it hurts, lol.

    Thanks again!

Hehe, I see ^^ But yup, it's nice and things are pretty much the usual stuff as it was throughout the series.

I honestly don't know. It is too abrupt like they were holding hands and then, that. Maybe trying to be comedic until the end? ^^; Not sure about the first one but high heels..falling backwards?

      =)

      - - -

Actually, it is kind of the same here but it just takes time for it to become like that/knowing whether it is good or bad. Impeachment won't be as easy as before..this one time..because these days, the person sitting knows how to 'stop' it and that is from what we heard, giving them money and it helps that most of them are from that political party. <- almost everyone had already jumped to the new president's party.

I'm not too sold on this new one even if there is change that is promised. It seems too good to be true yet, some of his actions seems to be the same as usual. ^^; As we talked about, connections helps...so is money..etc.

Though this time around, there are a lot of talk about killing/vigilantism and a lot of curse and vulgar words that I never thought a guy would say in public especially an elected person in high position. ^^;; Of course, he said that he'll keep a better hold of his mouth when he is finally sitting on Thursday so it's hope for the best in everything ^^

So, there won't be any elections any time soon at your place? I think that it just takes time for any elected person to show their true colors =P Ah, how soon did the vice become assumed to be bad and corrupt? A couple of years?

Hehe, hope you don't mind the questions. Just curious ^^

      - - -

      That's good ^^

I agree so we have to be appreciate the things we might take for granted.

      No problem, take care ^^

    2. It's what I like, the series didn't try to play in others fields not adventure into foreign lands, it kept to itself and for that was very good.

Well, I never used highheels, but I remember quite a few times that my sis and some friends actually fell over and if I wasn't behind them, they'd hit the floor. But I gotta say, it'd be quite funny if she really fell 'cause she's not used to highheels, lol.

And seeing Fuji and Myabe, I kinda felt sorry for them, really. I guess marriage in Japan is quite expensive and even with doctorates one still doesn't have a good in coming - that felt too close to home, actualy, lol. Or maybe is just the ceremony that's expensive? If one want to get married here, they can and it's actually cheap, but the party and ceremony are too exorbitant.
      -
Wow, didn't know you guys had an impeachment too. And you president seems to be very unsual one, to be saying all those things in public, lol, sorry for laughing, but I'd be the same I guess, lol.

Ah, I don't mind at all, and they were all corrupt from the beginning, it's just that only now things are comming under the table and people are seeing the true collors of whom they put in command. I say people 'cause I didn't vote for any of them, so I can't blame myself for that, actualy, I encouraged some people not to vote so we could at least show how frustrated we were with the whole situation, but like they say, one swallow doesn't make a summer, so...
      -
Yea, it kinda hurts more 'cause I didn't value what I had for granted, walked to work from home almost 5km everyday and used to jog everymorning for at least 20km - it was the time that I had solely for myself, to immerse in music while appreciating the trees and all. Now that it's all gone I feel sad 'cause even if I wanted, I can't. But hey, I can't really complain 'bout my life, despite my health issues, I lead a very good and fulfilling life that I myself don't think I deserve, despite having worked hard to get it.

      Thanks. ^^

    3. Well, true..better not go too off tangent from the focus if that is the main focus.

Really...backwards. I guess if the ground is unbalanced like here, it is garden soil.

I think that is because Miyabe was studying all the time and only recently got in the workforce so he still wasn't able to save enough for a wedding. Marriage being expensive is one thing but then I think living expense in Tokyo is quite high. <- impression from manga and I think I read that in the news.

I think it is more for the ceremony and the party. In other manga where there are secret marriages with teacher-student, schoolmates, etc...they just have to sign a paper and that's it. Then ceremony and party usually come in the final chapter. =P

      - - -

Yup though it is attributed to him being 'stupid' and other political stuff since it is the elite/middle class that helped oust him. Though technically, the impeachment didn't push through, people just had a revolution and he chickened out. ^^; The succeeding presidents wisen up and just 'pay off' the possible proponents for that to push through.

Let me tell you, it can be very offensive if one isn't used to it. I don't really mind the curse words but talking about fe/male sexual organs about one's wife and if they are smelly and stuff. I mean, really? He earlier got in trouble about a multiple rape victim being beautiful that he should be the one doing it first.

It will take time for me to think that is funny and perhaps, a macho guy thing? Maybe that is just to get people's attention? Well, I can say, he is very 'different' from the usual that is why people are hoping that he'll do something better for the country.

Still, that is when he is still president-elect. He is supposed to morph from a worm to a butterfly tomorrow when he officially becomes president. Since he'll represent the country, he said he'll keep rein of his dirty mouth.

Ah, it is becoming evident, right? Here, they say that you commit no crime as long as you don't get caught. Usually, things are exposed when the collaborator of the corruption scheme is getting the short end of the stick..then that person will squeal and hopefully, destroy the other's reputation/go to jail if lucky.

Ah, you don't vote. Hehe, here, most people do even if it is perhaps an illusion of having some power to choose one's leader. They always say that there is cheating. Then, again, another saying here, no one loses in the election, they are cheated. =P People here are frustrated but their revenge is more on voting for the opponent of the reigning officials rather than not voting.

Election is a fiesta here. Most politicians loosen up their wallets to give to the poor/people those that they have 'stolen' though get it back through corruption later on. ^^; It is a cycle actually but the rich becoming richer and the poor becoming poorer. Does the election there also involve that kind of practice aside from all sorts of promises? Giving away money, food, and other goodies to the poor.

      - - -

Ah..that would have been nice. And, would that still be possible after the surgery? That's a great attitude ^^ It should make you get well fast in some way ^^

      =)

    4. Yes, I've seen series try to be something that it didn't set themselves and got completely lost in the middle and the end - the ones that got there - was a mess, simply.

Wow, lol. I remember walking with my sis and she'd always stumble and eventually fall, but not faceground, lol. Strange thing.

Well, living in Tokyo sure is expensive and I guess if the woman were to stop working - since is still quite common there - the man's income'd have to be really something, guess that's why, then.
      -
That kind of talk is aggressive and stupid, and I don't think it's a regional thing, I mean, really? Why would someone talk about that? And that part about the victim, I can't find the words, him being the first to... Wow. I didn't know it was like that, I was thinking more in the lines of: a good thief is a dead one, criminals shouldn't have more human rights than honest citizens and all that, not this... Really, this is too much unsetling and not funny or macho at all, is just stupidity in it's top.

We shall hope and prey that at the very least he keeps his promise to not talk sh*t again.

Here's the same and is what actually happenning. We just don't know how much of it's true, but we all know they're all dirty, some are blind, or chose to be blind so they can hope they're candidates is just beeing falsely accused or a victim of the system and so on. And that's a common say here too, though it was first introduced to us in literature, Machado de Assis said: it's not a sin as long nobody knows - something like that.

We are obligated to vote, but I myself always nullify 'cause I don't trust any of the candidates, so if the majority of the votes were nullified, then we'd have to have another election with others canditates and others supporters and so on.

Yea, the thing that I find most frustrating is that everyone here talks, but none actually do or really know anything, though if you ask them about the soccer/football team, they know it all and they actually go to airports and stadiums and whatever just to scream their anger, while, you know...

Not actually giving away, here is more like a political move to get some programs working for the poor, so the poor can think they're beeing attended to, but in reality is only aggravating since if a family has no income and five children, the government will provide - yes, they'll give'em a sallary - for each child they have besides some kind of food stamps too. So they can actually have more income than me while not working at all, just making children. Though I reckon that this 'help' helps the economy somewhat, especially in the poorest regions, but it's like you said, the rich gets richer and the poor poorer.
      -
Yea, I do miss that, I didn't realize when I used to jog everymorning, but now...T___T Yea, it would be, though I'd have to be much more carefull and not stop physiotherapy and start swimming too, all in order not to put too much impact into the vertebrae.

      Thank you again! ^^

    5. True.

Maybe, those are very high heels? For thin heels like stilettos?

True..and from manga, it seems the men rarely go home except weekends or late at night. Iirc, one reason the birth rate is low is working women don't want to give up their jobs for family. But then, if they don't, based on manga, the kid is always left alone with just money/food on the table.

Recently, just learned that in Germany, it is the same, too. High expectations for the mothers to be full-time housewife. There was this survey about do you regret motherhood and some say they are envious of the French since that expectation isn't quite high.

      - - -

Indeed. he did mention about that better for criminals/drug pushers to be dead..actually killed, and they shouldn't have more human rights than victims but those I mentioned were a bit over the top. I don't know..maybe it was suppose to be funny since his audience are laughing about it. ^^;; So, I do have some misgivings aside from other things.

      Indeed.

      Oh..it's almost the same here.

What is 'nullify'? Does that mean not choosing anyone on the ballot or didn't go to vote. It would if we have that here. We cannot do that..it is take it or leave it with the candidates. So, we are mostly stuck with choosing the lesser evil. There were some people before wanting to put in a 'none of the above' choice. =P

Ah..it's the same here. It is mostly talk too. Though in some ways, use jokes to vent anger. And, usually, just wait it out until the next elections.

Oh, we recently have that one from the last two administrations. Money is paid to the poor but the exchange is you have to send your kids to school. There are criticisms like you mentioned for it being dole-outs and the people becoming lazy.

The new one said that he'll review it but I don't know if he can totally scrap it. There are a lot of poor who are depending on that money. Perhaps, not too soon. It is amusing though that the one he put in charge of it was one who used to be against that program. Now, she's in the position, she'll 'study' it. ^^; A bit change of the usual tune =P

But aside from that, there are other stuff in elections. Like, 'secretly' give you money to vote for them, give you food to attend their rallies, help you with burial, baptismal, and other stuff like that, start destroying perfectly fine roads to rebuilt them so that it would seem that they did something, start doing all sorts of public street works at the same time when elections are nearing..

In a way, that helps the politician to always have supporters during up and down times. And, after elections, they try to recoup their investment by 'stealing' government money with kickbacks, overpriced government stuff, etc. If it is 'profitable', then they get their wives/kids/relatives to 'succeed' the post. Lately, some aren't good at it while the others can still do that...won because of the father/mother's surname.

      - -

      Gambatte ^^

    6. Yes, they were thin, not like those models use, but thin. I'm sure as hell if I were to wear'em I wouldn't be able to stand more than one second and pretty certain I'd break the heels. Women have it rough I tell you, and people say fragile sex, yea right, lol.
      -
Didn't know Germany had it too, full-time housewife were common here, but not now. Though we have other problems regarding that. I guess that having a family is too expensive, where ever it is.
      -
Wow, his supporters find it funny? And here I thought I was the one with the darkest sense of humor that always make incorrect political jokes that could end it up offending someone... The criminals/thugs/drug dealers are fine enough - for me, at least - but the victim rape, that is disturbing, nothing funny or macho 'bout it.
      -
Nullify is like the none of the above you mentioned. We can vote blank too, but seeing how the urns are likely to be hacked, it's safest invent and number and vote like 00 or something. Not having at least this option is pretty bad, I bet I'd end up dead in some alley if we didn't have it here, I mean, there's stuff that I can and can't take it, and already got into some trouble 'cause of it, so yea, I'm pretty sure I'd be dead by now, lol.

Really? It's just the same then, the only difference is that only on the very rural and isolate places this kind of bribery occurs in the open with the poor, but secretly, that are all kinds of deals with companies and etc.

And I kind of liked that the one against the program is now running it, in a very opmistic view, we can at least hope for something not too biased and better thought of it.

We don't have it here, actually is quite the opposite, people who know nothing about education is it's minister and that goes to any other functions as culture, turism, health and so on, I get really mad with some decisions that are made and I can't do anything 'bout it 'cause some blockhead deepsh*t thought it was better when everyone that works in the area knows the decision was/is for the worse...

      Urgh, can't stomach it, lol.

      Delete
    7. Hehe..is that so. Personally, I haven't tried wearing any thin heels ^^; Well, I think it depends on what that one is considered 'fragile'. I recall a columnist musing something like that. Something like a huge burly man screaming in pain over small things like waxing or massages. I forgot the exact thing whereas women, it is 'the usual'.

      - - -

Indeed. Ironically, the poor tend to have lots of kids. We have a huge problem regarding population since the Catholic church frowns on artificial contraception even condoms.

      - - -

      I agree.

      - - -

Ah, you have that too. I also prefer not to vote a blank. Of course, here, we have shading instead of writing the name. ^^; Really no choice...want someone else to vote for you or just pick any random candidate.

You slightly lost me there. Why would you end up dead if that option isn't available? You don't vote and those who don't vote end up...like that? Is that what you mean?

I see. Here, it can be done on the open and they just say some really lame alibi then everyone forgets about it. People here loves cellphones, you see. These days, it is smartphones so they can take videos. There was one candidate caught giving money. The alibi was it was Christmas and he's just giving it to his constituents as gifts.

      True.

      I see...we have some of those in the past administrations. How they got the job..through connections. So, they ran those stuff to the ground and become puzzled why the people are angry at them during this election. ^^;

      Delete
    8. Yea, that's a lot of shows that work with this theme periodically, but I always felt it was too far fatched. Just the waxing thing, that is pure torture, lol. But I think women are generally stronger, I mean, I don't remember any men that I know that can bear more pain than the women I know.
      -
Yes, and that seems to ring true in any country, right? Always the poor. Didn't know the church still had so much influence like that. Though my country is pretty much a catholic country, no one really cares 'bout it.
      -
That's tough, here the urns are eletronic so we can just make up some number and imput it, but like I said, they're very easily hacked and I don't trust it very much.

No, no we don't. Not for small fries like me, but it's quite common to see some powerful figures quietly exit the scene after a 'partidary clash' if it's not rehearsed. I meant that I'd just end up running my mouth for too long and going crazy 'cause I can't pick the choice I at least think it's better, like making up numbers so not to vote for whom I can't bring myself to believe. I'd be dead 'cause I fought it over something like that we can always take a bullet for free around here, like, there are those who shot people in light traffic just because... But all in all, it was just me exaggerating, lol.

Wow, poor santa, taking the blame for that. Here it's almost the same, if it's done in public it's legal - only recently the police started to ask where's the money comes from and then started investigating. Now we have a lot of scandals and such 'cause some people that were arrested made a deal to talk and reveal more schemes so they could have their time reduced.

These dam* connections. But I think the saddest part is that even if someone actually tried to do something, they'd end up isolated and being destituted 'cause the vast majority are dirty and corrupted and would block any good attempt of any honest person trying to do the right thing.

There were some openly talked about this and like I said before, left the scene quietly and nobody remembers anymore.

      Delete
    9. I think that's biological in a way due to the women's ability to give birth =P

      - - -

Yup, for now, the Catholic hold is still strong in terms of 'way of life' but not politics. Aside from that, we are the only country aside from the Vatican that has no divorce law. Interestingly, marriages can be annulled though that option is usually for the rich.

Lol, we are using electronic, too these days. Our electronic voting company is Smartmatic which might be familiar to you. As mentioned, there are distrust with them. For some reason, the govt in charge of the elections kept on choosing them even as we seem to get a 'bad' deal from them.

Lol..I see. We have that kind of shooting before. And, yes people can get shot at over minor arguments like who is the better actress or something. We have an urban legend about that..during karaoke, you shouldn't sing 'My Way' by Sinatra. For some reason, a few people ended up killed during/after singing it because some other guy didn't like how it was sung.

Oh..squealing time. Here, I guess it depends. Sometimes, it seems that they won't squeal if they belong to the 'lower level'. I think they get paid a huge amount of money and probably, care for the family so they won't squeal. I mean, the opposite of that is, the enemy is a big shot so going against him might cost more than one's life..like including one's family and stuff.

That's right. And, if the top is also corrupt, out you go, you honest person for not bending to their wishes. Well, they can also make-up some cases to force the person to resign. Double whammy...no job + ruined reputation.

Ah...does that mean killed or just gave up?

      Delete
    10. And that just shows how unbelievable strong women are.
      -
Really? Also didn't know, and dam*, why only the rich? Is it through bribery they get? The awful connections?
      -
Can't say that I'm familiar with it, but the situation over is strange in my eyes. Can't you make up some number and go for it? What was the deal? I rather prefer the eletronic, since the vote is obligatory, but I'd much more appreciate if we weren't required to, I mean, it's really wrong to have to choice the lesser evil, like I said befora, I'd go crazy 'cause I can't imagine myself doing that, though it's a common thing over here.
      -
What a shame! That's very a good song, if it was the one from Limp Bizkit I'd understand, tho, lol.
      -
I guess they make those deals with that in mind, like, protect my family and etc then I talk. Tho I doubt those corrupt shi*s really care, I mean, there was a 'light scandal' over here when a callgirl revealed that she 'attended and served' most of the parlamentars, even at work time, so...
      -
Yes, that's just sad, I can't muster any strenght to get mad at it anymore, so jaded I am, but still, is nice to know that some still believe a try to do good, even if costs them a lot more that we can imagine.

I don't really know, there was some assassinations in recent years that weren't investigated like it should and some were just treated as accidents, but it's more like they really just disappear from the media and no one really cares, so it's hard to know what happened then. Only the most scandalous like those I mentioned that get some exposure, just to be soon forgotten.

      Delete
    11. Because it is too expensive for the poor. I think you need to have a lawyer and prove that the other party is this and that, etc. Though the two that you mentioned might also be involved in it.

      - - -

Oh..iirc, the company is from South America so I thought you're familiar with the company ^^; Nope, you have to shade. Of course, you can skip. But, if you skip, someone else might shade their candidate on it. Nevertheless, it isn't obligatory to vote...though you might want to vote for certain other positions like mayor, senators, vice-president, councilors, etc.

      - - -

Hehe..true. But there, they don't resign over such scandals, right?

      - - -

      True.

      - - -

I see. In a way, it's the same here.

      Delete
    12. I get that it's expensive, here it is too, though it's quite common and it seems to have a higher percentage than marriage, strange enough, right? I thought that, since the church prohibits, it wouldn't matter if it's poor or rich and then, the rich could 'cause they went through illegal means. That confused me, lol.
      -
So, if you skip you don't pay any taxes or suffer any other kind of punishment? Here, if we skip, we have to pay a small tax so we can 'live with dignity', like, if you skip and don't pay, you can't rent money from the bank, you go straight to have your name sullied and can't pay older loans and whatever, so you better pay the tax and make sure to vote next time. the good thing here is that you can always justify the absence and pay the smallest of the taxes, even so, I rather go and nullify my vote than to pay even more taxes to the gov.

Maybe it's the same company that runs here and started the business, but like I said, I can't bother with elections things, I get really frustrated about it and that makes my heart skip some beats, lol.
      -
'Course not! They have no shame at all. This week some big guy resigned, but only so in hopes that the processes and investigations that are trying to bring him down are nullified over the argument that since he's no longer in his former functions, he doesn't need to be be prosecuted... The laws over here are so laughable that I just can't bear to look further into it.
      -
So, let's try and change the subject, I've seen that Shingeki you mentioned before, the one about Annie. It's called lost girls. But since it's in french, couldn't read it, I have way more trouble with french than I have with italian and spannish, and I consider myself to be very bad at those languages, lol. Have you seen it, perhaps there's a chinese scan?

    13. So, there are more divorced people, right? Ah..well, you know, even if they say that..in reality, you know..money talks. It is a double standard.

      - - -

Nope..no taxes or any punishment if you don't vote. They would actually happily 'erase' your name from the voting list if you didn't vote for a number of times or you didn't have your bio metrics recorded. I see..so it is indeed compulsory there. How small is the tax? Amount of one lunch meal in a fast food resto?

      Lol..is that so.

      - - -

I see. Here, most can get away it..just hope that the current sitting leader doesn't hate you/regard you as an enemy.

      - - -

I actually didn't see it around in Chinese. It seems to have only two volumes.

      Delete
    14. Yea, a sad truth, money talks, and big. AC/DC hit the nail with that song, lol.
      -
I don't really know, but here the preice for things are pretty crazy. I guess the tax we have to pay doesn't amount to even get a bus, let alone a meal in any fast food. But then again, a meal in a fast food is way more expensive than a standard good and nutritive meal. But yea, we have to vote, if not, we're punished severely to the point that we wouldn't even be able to pay our bill, even if we had the money. And they call it a democratic country.
      -
Nah, like I said, they don't pay any mind to small fries like me, I only cause trouble around in minors stances, like neighboorhood and so, which is relatively speaking, more dangerous.
      -
Wow, already two vols? I only saw the first chapter! Well, since it's a big hit, I guess sooner or later they'd be around in eng. or some language I can read without too much effort.

Speaking of it, have you read the new chapter? Gotta say, we've seen that coming from a mile away, but it kinda delivered the tension. At least, I'm at ease of mind for Sasha, lol.

BTW, I found a manga that looks like a reverse LG of sorts, pretty funny so far. Takane no Hana Nara Ochitekoi, I guess I got the name right.

      Delete
    15. Yup.

      - -

Oh..so it is very small. Do you get exceptions like if you are out of the country or sick? I mean, just pay the tax and the punishment will automatically be cancelled. Hehe...'democratic' is subjective.

      - - -

      I see.

      - - -
Ya...though I get the impression that the side stories aren't that popular.

Just read it last night. True..if this will be a comedy-tragedy, they are fighting over who gets the serum and the two died. ^^; I don't think they can afford to 'kill off' Levi if they could because they really need the guy.

Bert-something is definitely dead/titan food soon but, Reiner is still retained for the story. Do you think that the beast is just pulling Eren's leg? Wasn't it just to get his power and now, it seems implied that it is because they are 'related' somehow.

I read a couple of chapters..it's good. And, you got the title right ^^

      Delete
    16. Yea, but the bus ticket are almost as expensive as a good meal, so we're not really safe to skip and pay the tax after. No, if you're travelling or outside the country you still need to justify why you're not voting this time, if in a foreign country, you need to go to an ambassy to do that, otherwise, you'll be paying the tax when you're back.
      -
Well, Annie is still one of the most pop, so I don't know, I hope to see it.

I didn't quite liked, tbh, it felt too cringy and worthy only to add unnecessary drama, though I got the feeling of what the mangaka are trying to deliver. Anyway, I'd laugh my a** off if both died while they ware arguing over who to live, lol. Speaking of it, which do you prefer/think will be saved? My bet is on Armin, 'cause he's young and has already more sense of duty than Erwin, though not so much experience.

Yea, Reiner is doing extra-hours already, don't know if anyone likes him anymore, I mean, he wasn't pop while he was 'acting good'.

Me too, it felt like a excuse to the mangaka have some kind of drama and pull a not so bad end for both the factions, I really don't know. Making Dr. Jaegar the most vile of the villains in both inside or outside the walls is... well, cringy too.
      -
Wow, guess it's the first time, lol. The manga really strikes me as a shoenen verson of LG, read just two chapters so far.

    17. I see. There's no way to avoid huh. So, everyone has a national ID or something that you cannot do anything like lend money in banks etc.. I mean how can they keep track of everyone? Is it possible not to register to vote?

      - - -

And that is, people tend to get killed by in-fighting rather than by the enemies? I would agree. Also, Erwin seems a bit 'eager', if one can say that, in throwing away other people's lives for his goal. Of course, that might just be necessary at times.

Though amusingly, both wanted to see something as their goal. One is to see the basement, the other one is to see the ocean. If we are to base it on that, they can just immediately go to the basement. Smack Erwin awake to make him see the basement and he can die in peace. =P

True...maybe it has something to do with Krista or his mental state will be used for some plot later on.

Scapegoat-type? Well, as they say, dead people cannot really defend themselves on false accusations.

      - - -

Yup. It is more on comedy...like some skits.

      Delete
    18. Yea, it's quite like that. If you don't have/own an ID card, you don't exist offcially, so you can't have bank accounts, jobs, credit cards, cars, license drive nor can buy house or even have a proper burial/funeral service. It's all done with ID's card, and if you don't vote/neglect to pay the tax or justify, the info is automatically sent to an organ that 'oversees' your 'stat as citizen'. It is possible not to register, though, like I said, everything you do will request your ID and the prove/check that you have voted, so...
      -
Yea, more like, humanity won't ever be reunited, even among friends/alliances and so on. That's what made Erwin his name, right? I mean, if I were to psychoanalysis him, I'd say he has too much traits of a sociopath, but I don't think the author wants us to see him that way. I think that what Erwin wants the most is to find the truth, if it's not in the basement, then he'll continue to pursue it, like Terminator, lol.

True, he did had that message from Ymir to Krista, right? Can't never call her Historia, lol. But even so, Reiner, just die, please, lol.

That's the vibe I'm getting too, just a plot the author can give us and say, there's really no good/bad side, just opposite sides and that's that.
      -
I like that, but tbh, since there aren't much chapters, I refrain myself so I can binge read all at once, sometimes that makes me feel better, specially these days that I'm not doing so well.

Ah, I'm still refraining to read Namaiki too, but I always take a peek at your comments, just to see if I'll be able to read 'guilt free', lol.

    19. I see. Well, here, we don't have a national ID. It was being pushed by some people but others claim that it is an invasion of privacy.

      - - -

      True.

Hehe..why. I actually forgot her real name so I wrote Krista ^^; Ya..oh well, it seems that he can still be of use in the story.

It seems so. Possibly for a twist in the end.

      - - -

Oh..the back is acting up? Well, hope reading it will ease the pain ^^

Hehe...I think there won't be any of that anymore = problems. It seems to be winding down.

      Delete
    20. Can't see how it'd be an invasion of privacy, but I do know that it actually doesn't work very well or in the way it was suppose to.
      -
I much more rather Krista, there's a whole lot of more meaning to the name and character than Historia, but I guess the latter do fit better for the story.

Let's just hope and see if it's a good twist, I have to confess that I'm not that much into it, or rather, I'm expecting nothing really.
      -
Yea, it is, sometimes it gets worse and worse, then it gets better, but it's rare, lol.

That's good to hear, sooner than later I'll be back to reading, just taking my time so I can marathon like crazy, lol.

    21. Well, I guess it is more on trust on what malicious govt people might do with the data. And, there was a case this year when they idiotically got themselves hacked and the hacker posted up all the data on the internet. ^^;

      True.. 'history' something, right?

      I see.

      - - -

Is that so. Well, hope the 'getting better' increases while you wait for the surgery ^^

    22. I get it now, can't say that we don't have this problem here, but people don't mind too much, or are rather oblivious. For some reason, I always burn or cut into very small pieces everything that has my name and/or adress on it, needless to say that I do the same with credit cards debts an so on, but really, I guess I'm the only one who does it, since when I gather with friends and happen to comment on that, everyone says I'm too hyped/paranoid.
      -
Yea, and would be in the sense of 'true history', not some tale or just some 'story', though, like I said, I kinda liked Krista better.
      -
It'b been worsening for a few days now, unfortunately, and the surgery seems a long life distant dream by now, they're cutting expenses at everything and literally only attending to life or death cases, but I do get my mind off pain and stress by reading, though lately I've been playing The Witcher 3, awesome game. Read the books and fell imediately in love with it, there was a time that I actually went and called my work saying I'd be taking the day off 'cause I was too immersed in the book and couldn't care to stop and do my job properly, lol.

My boss was speechless by my honest and lazy nature, couldn't bring herself to punish or anything, good times those. Good thing that I never missed a day prior that time, nor after.

      Delete
    23. Lol..is that so. We, well, my family also do that as much as possible.

      - -

      I agree..I like Krista better. Perhaps, based on the first impression. Krista is like shiny..like how she was thought of as some goddess. Hm..a reason why Reiner is still alive? ^^;;

      - - -

Is that so. That's good..in a way. That happened to be before during college. Was reading a book and didn't do a certain project...thank God the deadline got extended =P

Hehe..is that so. Attendance is strict there?

      Delete
    24. Then I'm glad that I'm not paranoid, lol.
      -
Yea, and that makes sense if we look at the meaning of krista, it fits that description.

I really can't think of any reason, tbh, lol.
      -
Lol, yea, missing projects are kinda deadly in college. I missed some 'cause I was out travelling and then got sick, one helluva of a story to tell, truth be told, almost lost the year 'cause of that, lol.

It is, very strict, but almost everyone doesn't care. I do care 'cause I still think is important to do your job as best as you can, even if you happen to dislike it. I only got the day off 'cause, in my area, we have like six justified days to take in a whole yeat, so I just took one, since I haven't took any for more than a year.

But the vast majority takes the whole six, and though it's against the law, they take as day weekend, sometimes everything in a week only, despite the law saying that we can take more than one day off per month. They just talk among themselves and the directors to cover up and that's it. Never did it, but I did get the urge to do it, lol.

BTW, someone posted the link to that koto music we were talking about the other day, the one that Himegirls played. Not quite I imagined, but nice even so. It's on batoto, if you'd like, I can copy paste here, or better yet, in the newest kot summary, just didn't read yet 'cause I want to get in a better mood to read, if I read something I normally like when I'm like this, I'm unable to enjoy to the fullest, and that's shame, specially when it comes to a story full of feels like KoT.

      Delete
    25. Like I said before, your attitude is quite good. It's really sad that they won't at least help you with your health problem = move the surgery earlier ^^

Hm..aren't people there overworked or something? Here, we usually have 1-2 day off per week. It depends on what kind of business one has. Hm..so, are there some holidays there to have more 'vacations'? Out of curiosity, how long is the work there per day? 8 hours? Here, it is 8. Then, there's 1 hour lunch break. Sometimes the lazy ones get off with snack break at around 10 then at around 3. Again, that depends on what kind of business one has.

      Sure but you seem underwhelmed by it. ^^;

No problem..take your time ^^ I agree, if one isn't in the mood for a good series, better wait it out for a while.

      Take care.

I hope too, my sick leave will expire soon and then I'll have to go the same hell as always, maybe that's why I'm not in a mood for anything and beeing grumpy about everything, lol.
      -
Nah, it really dependes on the company and work. In my area, there are those who have up to three functions, so they work from 7am to 11pm - last year I was working like that, besides having to take care of my gran whom was very ill at the time - but there are others that work only 6h and call it a day. Ofc, the ones with more hours make more money, not that much 'cause some unfounded law that makes you lose more bonus as you work harder/longer. Meanwhile, politicians only work for 4h a day and three days per week, earn more than I could possibly hope to earn and have LOTS of benefits and bonus...

There's private companies too, like the ones my sis works for, iirc, she works 8h too, my mother who were a nurse - actual nurse - worked for 12h, my father who was more of a carpenter in a tv/radio emissor, he worked for 6h. There're others like that too, and always have lunch and break time, so they don't actually work for all those hours.

But, in my area, we don't have 1h for lunch, specially if we do more than 6h per day, only have 30min for lunch, and 15min for a quick break.
      -
Yea, beeing in a grumpy mood prevents me for enjoying what I usually do. There's a new Berserk chapter, after so long, and I'm afraid of reading, I might not like it, lol. Even the game, I'm finding constant things that I usually overlook, but now I'm beeing really picky, and the game is so awesome that my sis saw it and thought I was watching a movie, lol.

    27. Thanks ^^ Hehe, I can suddenly relate with that female reporter. ^^;;

      - - -

Hehe...well, being sick can affect moods.

      - - -

Okay...so that is taxing overtime pay? It would really take out the incentive to work harder/longer..unless the law intents to make people rest more =P

About the politicians, I agree. It is the same here. One congressman came to session once all throughout and still get paid. His excuse is because of his boxing obligations. There are some people who want to push for no work no pay for those politicians though...well, mostly congress. Let's see if it happens.

      I see.

      - - -

Lol..not like it because of your mood? It has some amazing cg huh? Usually, that is my incentive to play but for my nephew..he usually skips them.

      Delete
    28. Didn't find the sound quite powerful, but it's difficult indeed, even more so for highschoolers. Have being listening more koto songs lately, sometimes it helps easy the stress and pain.
      -
So, it's complicated 'cause it varies from place to place, even public servants like me have it's discrepancies. By law, we aren't allowed to do overtime and so we don't get paid if we do it, but a lot of people just make arrangements and deals with the principal so they kinda work like freelances, even if they already have jobs and functions. Dangerous practice, but we see it more than often.

On the other hand, in private companies it's almost always paid if you work overtime, but only if you're registered and have sertifications and a clear contract of how much hours per day/week you have to work.

Then, we have the politicians that do almost nothing and get paid in full, get huge bonuses and actually receive an extra whenever there's a meeting...

The law I said earlier, 'bout the longer you work, the lesser are your bonuses it's only for some functions like mine, and I don't have any idea why it's like that. We joke among ourselves that it's 'cause we're too busy working, so we can't spend money nor have a decent meal or break, lol.

And there's a really sick system that calculates per area, so if we work in a surburban/downtown we gain less than the ones doing the same job, but working in hightowns. The excuse is that in downtown things are cheaper so we don't get the same amount 'cause we're bound to spend less...
      -
Yea, I'm much too grumpy and then always end up nitpicking at everything, lol. And no, it wasn't a cg, it was the actual/normal gameplay, the graphics are that good and even so I'm here, complaining, lol.

Yea, youngun's normally skip those and jump right to the action, some friends of mine are like that too.^^

    29. Hehe..I see. Hm..help you relax and perhaps, lull you to sleep? =P I guess I like it when the pieces are more modern. ^^; Something like the 12 girls band's music or some anime songs using traditional instruments.

      - - -

Oh..by the way, the overtime isn't allowed..is it because people would deliberately slow down work/not finish it up since they'll be paid for the extra time? I recall in some relatives' companies, they discourage overtime because that is what the employees do. They deliberately do not finish work so that they can get extra money from overtime.

I see. But then, is there someone else auditing it? I mean are the chances of being caught doing those kind of arrangements low?

True. There was an issue here wherein this pension agency of the government refuses to increase the pension by saying that they don't have money for it BUT the directors gave themselves really huge fat bonuses = job well done, they say. Again, that was in the last administration and things suppose to change with the new president.

Oh..it's the same here but in regards to salary. For the same job, those who live in the city gets paid more than those in the province. The reason is because stuff/standard of living is cheaper in the province. There was a proposal to make it all the same. We are still in wait and see mode.

      - - -

Well, being sick does that...rather in pain.

      Hehe, apparently so ^^

    30. Tbh, I'm some kind of music lover, and if a day passes that I didn't listen to any song that was a bad, bad day - don't even want to know how was my mood in that day, lol. But just recently that I started to dig more traditional music, though I play cello, I'm more of a rocker than anything, even playing Metallica and Iron with my cello - to the horror of some my colleagues that have more classical/traditional background, lol. I just love music and for me, it's like music therapy os something, can't go without it.
      -
No, that's not what really happens here. I mean, in the public services you only do the hours the contract says so, in the private area you work overtime if the manager/director feels the need. If you slack you just get fired next time you slack again, lol.

I'd say it's low 'cause everybody does so there's really no one to tell them off, otherwise they'll fall too, so... But like I said, this is in the public area, private works a lil' different.
      -
Yea, now that happens here too and I'm still mad about it. Whole country in crisis, cutting budget from health and education systems, a lot of people not beeing paid, but we can host the Olympics here, there's a shortage of water suply, but the governor cabinet spends almost the double when it says to the public that we're in need to dole out or else we can even bath.

And a lot of congrassmen, senators w/e just gave themselves a good salary increase, despite theirs being already huge/off charts in comparison with the rest of us.

We have the salary thing too, but in private setors, I have a friend that makes twice what I make doing almost the same thing, but she leaves in a 'noble' area, so...

Hope the your new administration goes well.
      -
Yea, tell me about it. I'm even afraid to show up in rehearsals and some parties in order not to make things go sour along with my mood. But they keep insisting, lol.

      Delete
    31. That's cool...heavy metal on cello. ^^ Uh oh...liking traditional music might mean getting older =P

      - - -

I see..so the contract has to be followed, no ifs and buts..but if one can get away with it, that's okay, too.

I get that..everyone just shuts up for everyone's doing it. If someone points the finger, there are other fingers pointing back. We have such incidents here.

      - - -

That bad, huh. And, the games are starting there soon. Usually, the people would have just to bear with it when hosting such things. We had the APEC here before..right in the capital that already has very bad traffic. So, for the VIPs to move around without traffic, a lot of roads are closed off. The public would just have to bear it and walk to their destinations. [http://images.gmanews.tv/webpics/2015/11/640_ZZZ_111615_2_b_2015_11_16_12_36_31.jpg]

So, instead of the supposed benefits for hosting, the people don't remember it but only the hardships they have to bear because of poor planning, etc like hold it somewhere else in the country.

Here, it is not so high but the perks make up for it. They have this allotted money that they can use for their projects in their areas..though they were caught a few years back wherein they put the money on bogus projects like earthworm raising kits, manicure kits for fishermen, etc which those people never received + a lot of kickbacks. It was declared 'illegal' by the courts but this time, there seems to be plans to get it back in some form.

      I see.

      Yup, hopefully.

      - -

Hehe, they must love your company ^^

  19. Gawdd I'm a hot mess... I'm already missing these two crazy!😭 I've never connected myself as much to a manga as much I've to last game. I'll miss waiting around thinking when will they confess to each other, and how much more air headed can kujou get? Waiting who'll make the first move? Waiting and waiting for that first kiss! I guess it was all the chase that mattered... I would have loved to see more kisses and hugs. Yanagi didn't change at all! He just seems a little more in love, and kujou has grown a lot. A little too much for my liking😉 I wanted to see that clueless and airhead kujou.... this kujou was way too much sensible.
Yea but I liked to see her utterly gorgeous on the most important day of their lives... gah would it be childish to say that I'd hoped to see little yanagis and kujous around too.... well thank you Kat for all the work you've put in! I'm very grateful!😊

  28. Wooohh! Just finished reading it yesterday and I was kinda ... sad because it has already ended but on the other side, it was a beautiful happy ending and I don't need to think much for the ending (unlike what other mangas who have an open-ending that tortured me hahahaha! xDD).

Anyways, I loved this manga so much because it is one of the shoujo mangas who has a very very pure story (which is more romantic to me than seeing those characters in other mangas doing kissing scenes most of the time, holding hands, etc.) . I really find it interesting, more romantic exciting, and it really tickled my heart . >/////< Because of its pureness. This is the kind of shoujo manga that I've been looking for.

BTW, I also recommend Koi Dano Ai Dano manga by Tsujita Ririko, this is also a must-read manga :)) I'm sure you'll also enjoy reading it.

    1. True..open-ending are usually disappointing.

There are indeed some nice romantic pure scenes though I think that it is more on the comedy side rather than romance.

      I have read that series. I think I'm just two more chapters to finishing it. ^^; It's quite good though I somewhat got lazy to keep on following it at the near end. ^^;;
