Super happy Shou thinks that it seems that today, it is at
this time!! Fuji station's Taiare's eponym [in Japanese or ‘sponsored’ in
Chinese] program. *top three favorite
celebrity ensemble. With anticipation, he opens the television on the car's
dashboard. To his horror, 'Golden Brain' program is going to occupy Taiare's
'Boring Splash [/Mizuka]' time so their program will be longer by 120 minutes.
Trembling in anger, Shou thinks what is this thing that is being shown, this
devil program--!!! Shoko says that it is a question and answer program. Shou
thinks that he knows and he couldn't understand it for it is a program wherein performing
artists are regularly shown but couldn't make people laugh!! Even if there are
some not bad artists who would also appear there. But then, no matter how many
people have joined up, it cannot be compared to Taiare--!! "Darn it-!!! It
isn't easy!!! It isn't easy to be able to watch Taiare in real time, that
precious opportunity--!!! I curse you!! Chestnut gold group~~!!!" [<-
literal translation ^^;] Shoko asks if he is going to watch that when before,
after watching it once, didn't he say that he won't watch it for the second
time. <- boring artists (chestnut gold group) <- artists who cannot make
people laugh.
Furious Shou thinks that he won't watch anymore, aren't
there any other programs. Switch channel. It is a couple of jpop idols with
screaming fans. Switch channel. It is a young child saying everyone to quickly
look at the mountain being pointed at. Switch channel. Saena is being introduced
as an accomplished lawyer substituting for Katagiri. Switch channel. Someone is
shouting to one’s boss that it is not good, not good. Switch channel. Someone
exclaims about it being delicious, yes, truly very delicious. [Shou’s brain is
still processing here. ^^;] Someone exclaiming how come it is this impossible
ensemble-!? Another person answers, right, and everyone who tasted it
personally also said that. “After eating it once, you’ll definitely change your
mind~~~” And Shou starts to switch channel back twice. The host exclaims that
honestly speaking, compared to an ugly crocodile-faced lawyer, it is better to
have a beautiful lawyer. “Simply become a regular guest here, Atty. Mogami. How
about it!? Ah ha ha” Saena says no..she is just Atty Katagiri’s substitute. She
explains that in the first place, she cannot be like Katagiri who can issue a
lively speech which is needed in media.
The host says that is truly regrettable. Then, he wishes for
crocodile-sensei to slowly properly recover and don’t force himself. Shou is in
disbelief. “Aunt Saena-!!? What’s up for her to be on the television!?” At
Daruma restaurant, Kyouko has finished sweeping the floor. Okami thanks Kyouko
and says that is it for today. The rest will be up to her husband so she can go
up first. As Kyouko bows to the boss, Okami tells her husband that they are
going up first. Boss nods and says okay. As Okami leads Kyouko inside, she
apologizes for asking Kyouko to help them out when she just got home. Kyouko
says that it is okay for lately, this is the only help she can do for them. It
is already 12:35am. Okami tells her not to mind this small thing for according
to the customers, more or less, it is possible that it will end early like
today. After sitting down, Okami decides to watch the programs that are recorded
today. <- something that must be done daily. She says that here it is, ‘one
thousand nautical mile’ and didn’t she appear on that show before. Kyouko doesn’t
remember it so Okami says no..ah..it is alright. This made Okami think that
Kyouko doesn’t recall the work that she has already finished doing.
As Kyouko puts the tray of tea on the table, Okami tells
Kyouko that today, there is a customer who mentioned that there is a news program
that showed Kyouko’s name so it is recorded. And maybe, there is that
possibility wherein before, there was actually a time when the customer thought
that he had recorded Kyouko’s program but in the end, it is someone else’s
show. Pouring tea on the cup, Kyouko says is that so. Okami asks isn’t there a
well-known actress called Isaki [guesswork from 磯崎] Kyoko. [<- I deliberately
change the spelling like this so that you can distinguish who’s who] Thinking
that Kyoko seems to be under LME’s actresses, Kyouko says is that so. After Okami
thanks Kyouko for the tea, she tells Kyouko that it seems that customer reacted
to the word ‘Kyoko’ so he recorded it unconsciously. As Kyouko pours a cup of
tea for herself, Okami says that being too intelligence also has its detriment.
Kyouko says to it turns out there is that kind of thing. On the television,
someone says that this week, they will undo the rope’s knot [/fork on the road]
of her life’s relationship. The guest are these.. Someone screams and shouts
for the host to properly introduce her. Then, today’s special guests are Isaki
Kyoko and also, Shoken? Komaki Isumi [total guesswork from 小卷泉. ^^; Sorry, couldn’t
find the surname; correction by menonama]
Okami says as expected. Kyouko says that it seems to be like
that. The host says that afterwards, there is someone who has an outstanding
ability to be life’s navigator, and first time to appear here is.. As Okami
tries to figure out how to delete it, Atty. Saena is introduced as one of the
few beautiful lawyers in the legal profession. Kyouko looks surprised and says,
--..ah.. This puzzles Okami. At a bar, [probably at Lory’s house since that
looks like his butler acting as the bartender], Ren, Lory and Yashiro are
having a drink. Lory says that Murasame Taira is Kuu’s fan. Ren says it is so,
and it is up to an exceptional [abnormal] degree. Lory says that it seems that
before, he is the leader of a gang and after seeing Kuu Hizuri’s dramas and
life, his life had a change. Ren says that it turns out that rumor about being
a gang leader isn’t a joke. Lory comments that he is an interesting talent. From
the start of his acting, it seems that his growth is very fast and there is a
huge potential for him to rise up. In the future, perhaps, he’ll also become an
actor in Japan who cannot be ignored. Ren says that he also thinks that.
Lory says that lately, it is particularly felt, this greed
of Murasame for acting. It makes him happy to see an immature [/young] talent
to blossom and bear fruit. Ren says by the way, president. Lory asks what, want
to scoop out Murasame to their company. Ren casually says when Lory met with
Kyouko’s mother, was there any mention about any objections to giving consent
regarding Kyouko’s acting activities. Lory comments that if he wants to change
the topic, then prompt him a bit in order not to startle someone by changing
the topic. Ren apologizes and says that it is because his brain is completely thinking
of it and he wasn’t at all deliberately interrupting his talk all of a sudden.
Frowning Lory says that he is talking about a lot of topics and in the end, he
wasn’t paying attention to him. It makes him angry for this guy would come to
get some news yet would have that kind of conduct..wrong, it is of course,
inevitable to mind [/worry about] it. Even if he still really believed that
Kyouko didn’t saw it. Lory says that although she doesn’t oppose it. Ren asks
if she didn’t oppose it.
Lory clarifies that she won’t oppose..but there is a
condition. Ren asks condition? Lory says that even if it is Ren, he cannot
casually tell it to him. Ren says, is it this condition, ‘no matter what is
required [/requested] of her to do, she [Saena] doesn’t care as long as their
relationship isn’t publicized to the masses’. This surprises Lory and asks if
Kyouko has told him about her family issue. Ren says that she told him a bit
and he also heard that her mother is very strict towards her. Yashiro becomes
nervous for he feels that it isn’t quite good for him to listen to all of these.
[<- outsider] Lory is puzzled for indeed he has heard about it from Kyouko
and Kyouko has heard Ren telling her that he doesn’t have the right to be
happy, and it seems that she already knows that Ren always has something that
he blames himself for.. Could it be.. He recalls his talk with Kyouko before.
He wonders if the two of them have already talked before and he thought that
Ren won’t reveal his wound and own weakness to a girl whom he is infatuated
with..for it is quite serious and dark.
Ren says but normally, if thinking of it on the bright side,
that strictness can explain that she is thinking of Kyouko, right.. Then, Lory
recalls what Saena coldly told him in the car while he is disguised as an older
gentleman. Ren says that what she told Lory, and what she declared now on the
television, it is using her own way of considering Kyouko’s future and
position.. Ren stops upon seeing Lory’s slight scowl and sad frowning
expression. Somewhere else, the door opens, Shoko leads Shou inside and tells
him good job and wait a while as she greets Kimura. Shou sits inside and
recalls Saena telling on the television earlier that she doesn’t have a child.
He grinds his teeth and thinks that person is incredible, for how can she
possibly say that out and in the national network..!! He looks at his cellphone
and holds it. He thinks that Kyouko shouldn’t have seen that right.. And, Ren
is also holding his cellphone. He recalls how he saw dismayed Lory covering his
face and said that she already said not to come one after another for a
consent..everything will be up to their [LME’s] instructions to do as they
wish.
Ren remembers young Kyouko telling him that her mother said
that she doesn’t like a stupid child so she is striving hard in order to get
100. “Afterwards, one day, I’ll definitely become a good child whom mother can
praise with a smile.” Ren thinks that he’ll hear Kyouko’s voice to know whether
or not she saw the program. No..he was already deceived before by her acting on
the phone’s recorder and besides, calling at this time, what would he talk
about, it is too unnatural. He is really afraid that if she didn’t saw the
program, she’ll look for the source of his acting unnaturally and instead, he’ll
create an opportunity to make Kyouko watch that program. If it is ‘seeing each
other’, he still has a trump card of Guam’s eating evidence video. He’ll create
an opportunity for a short meeting while he is temporarily in the country,
another day--.. He then recalls young Kyouko crying. At Daruma’s place, Kyouko
is now watching her mother saying that she doesn’t have a child and since she
hasn’t been a mother, whether it is her hardship or fury, even if she were to
imagine it, she also cannot feel as if it had happened to her but, right now,
it has nothing to do with the current case.
Earlier, Kyouko asked Okami if she can let her watch that.
Okami asked if it is a relative since the surname is Mogami. Kyouko timidly
said that it is her mother. End flashback. While Saena is telling the mother that
despite it being like this, she can entrust it to her so that she can carry out
a plead and she’ll definitely help the mother in improving the current
situation. Okami turns around to look at Kyouko who looks dark and glum. Okami
calls out to her and Kyouko lamely says that she is going to her room. Okami
can only worriedly think of Kyouko. Kyouko goes to her room. She looked stunned
and aghast. She tries to recall her past memories but the memory of what her
mother said on the television resurfaced. A tear starts to form in her eye. She
quickly opens the light and runs to her bag. She shakes out all of its contents
on the floor to find a small purse [where Corn the rock is kept]. She grabs the
purse. Putting aside the tray of tea, Okami sees Kyouko running out. Okami
calls out to her but Kyouko continues to go out. Kyouko rushes towards the door
and opens it to see Shou holding his cellphone and looking at her. After
looking surprised, Shou sighs and says, ah~~ ..ah ah..looking at her
complexion..in the end, she saw it--.. Next chapter will be out in Japan on
April 20th.
Comment: And,
Shou beats Ren to it. Is it possible for Ren to still catch up to that scene?
Well, since he recalled young Kyouko crying, surely, he still went to see her. With
Kyouko’s awful reaction, I don’t think we will have any funny scenes in the
next chapter even if the three meet and somehow end up in Kyouko’s room to see
those posters. Or else, it would be unnatural. Based on Lory’s expression, Ren’s
positive thinking regarding Saena isn’t true. So far, I’m really doubtful that
Lory would want to patch up Kyouko and her mother..at least at this state..when
the mother doesn’t want to have anything to do with her daughter and doesn’t
want their relationship known to the public. It almost makes me wonder how she’ll
react if Kyouko guests on that show but then, Kyouko isn’t the type to make a
scandal and it would probably hurt her more based on what Saena can say in
public. Okami seems to be at a loss on how to comfort Kyouko or rather,
probably didn’t know the extent of how her mother treated her before and how
badly it affected Kyouko. This is a very huge blow for Kyouko. I’m not sure how
Shou can comfort her at this state. Actually, I’m not sure Kyouko would want to
be comforted by him. When they were young, he wasn’t able to do it, maybe, he
can do it now? And in the first few pages, it seems that Shou is more into
comedy stuff. Is it a coincidence that Chiori’s issue earlier is also about
comedians? ^^;
I wonder if the mangaka is hinting on something regarding
Murasame since Kuu is mentioned again and how Murasame can be a popular
talented actor later on. Somewhat ironic that a gangster became an actor
because of Kuu yet his own son seemed to slip from becoming an actor to getting
involved with gangs in some way. I wonder if Lory will figure out later on that
those two know each other when they were young. Well, one of the confirmed reason/s
why Saena doesn’t like her being stupidity, it makes me wonder if aside from
being deceived by Shou, it is reinforced since Kyouko is in showbiz. It is a
common perception that brains isn’t really needed in showbiz especially by
those acting cute and just has good looks. In a way, Saena quantifies being ‘intelligence’
= getting perfect scores. Anything below 100 is stupid. ^^;; So, it goes to
show that she is a perfectionist..which does suit her perfectly calm and cold
demeanor. Anyway, the mangaka gave the three main characters a reason to watch
that show. Lory was watching that show when Ren arrived. Shou wanted to watch a
comedy but wasn’t able to so he was flipping channels. And, Kyouko watched it
because it got recorded because of a certain Kyoko. After all, with their busy
schedules and everything, these three are very unlikely to just watch the television
on their free time and watch that program. So, perhaps, with this, a bit of
progress with our love triangle or at least, the two’s relationship in terms of
closeness in the next few chapters..hopefully ^^ Scans by 红莲汉化组
Quote of the day:
There will be times in life when you cannot succeed. Or
times when hardship seems about to crush you. Such times are inevitable, yet we
should not allow our spirits to be broken by them. ~ Daisaku Ikeda
I knew it!!! I knew Sho was going to beat Ren to it! And I am so happy! And his face after he saw Kyoko clearly shows how he cares and is worried about her. Don't get me wrong I ship Ren x Kyoko, but I wanted to see more of Sho. I feel so bad for Kyoko though. Thanks soooo much for this summary. It made my day!
ReplyDeleteAh yes..Diana. Of course, I mean, he's there, right?
DeleteThanks for reading and glad to hear that ^-^
Shou feels for her more like a brother than a love interest to me
DeleteIt feels that way for me too! And Shou being Shou, he might do something incredibly funny (stupid) and take Kyouko's mind off the horrible situation :)
DeleteIf I remember right, Shou took after the beagles in making her hate him. Just to monopolize her heart so he was number one in her mind even if it was the feeling of hate hoping to make no room for Ren. Because Shou tried to admit to her his feelings of love during the filming for Dark moon. Down the stairs the day after she was attacked only to have Ren interrupt the conversation. Thus leading to Ren eating twice, and getting sick.
DeleteWhy is it always sho who does the right thing then pisses us of by going back to being a brat .... (stalker situation and now this ....... sho YOUU ... oH WELL , Looking forward to next month)
ReplyDeleteNoura
Hehe, Noura, because that is being 'Shou' ^^
Deleteok thanks for the summary :)well m kind of disappointed to see sho on the scene cause i was wishing to see ren but there is big chance that ren went to see/meet her mother. As we know ren would never leave kyouko when he knows she must be in horrible state.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading, Iffat ^-^
DeleteYa... Ah..why, the mother? I think it would be more difficult to talk to the mother suddenly.
Indeed.
Thank you for the summary Kat 😁 👍👍👍
ReplyDeleteThe more i read the few last chapter make me realized just how awful Saena really is.
At this point it's doesn't matter who will comfort Kyoko first. And i think the mangaka put Sho first rather than Ren is because he's much more longer live with Kyoko and know how badly she treatened by her mother. even if he's rather dense in comforting her while they're young, maybe he can make her calm down now.
Well i have to studying again because next month is my final exam 😋
Thank's again for the summary, until next time Kat.
Tiara ^_^
Thanks for reading, Tiara ^-^
DeleteTrue.
Good luck with your exams ^^
Thank you for the summary!
ReplyDeleteNothing much happened compared to the last chapter in the sens we are only seeing the same scene with Saena saying she doesn't have a child, but through the eyes of many different characters this time~
I'm not too sure how to feel about Sho, I seems like many people ended up liking him in the long run, but I never shook the feeling he did wrong in the way he used Kyoko in her childhood and up to their teenagers years, he is just 'out' for me I guess?
I hope we will get a RenxKyoko ending to this scene: he was the one by her side when she was little, and she instinctively went looking for the rock, and I hope the two of them ultimately meeting up is what the author has in mind!
I feel like Sho may end up in a brother type role.
DeleteThank you so much for the summary. Can't wait for Ren to meet up with Kyoko!!!
DeleteLol. That would be a weird brother type role, I prefer friends. People who have kissed each other should never refer to themselves as siblings, real or fake. :)
DeleteThanks for reading, Anonymous ^-^
DeleteIndeed.
It's the same for me.
I'm also hoping for something like that.
It makes me sad that Sho got to her first. Now Sho will calm Kyoko down before she meets with Ren, then Kyoko will act like everything is fine and Ren will not know she saw the show and see how upset she was by it. Ren and Kyoko will go back to square one where they keep each other at a distance so that neither will discover the romantic feelings one has for the other.
ReplyDeleteGrrr.... Ren needs to get over the age issue and Kyoto has to learn to take a leap of faith!
Ya, Grace though it isn't definite that Sho can calm her..well, if he did, it would be the first time? But true, if he managed to do so, then, Ren won't know.
DeleteLol..for Ren, the age issue is just an excuse, it is a different reason though after Guam, I think he has changed. I think he is still doing it in a subtle way like before. He was hinting things at the hotel before she left but she managed to rebuff it. ^^; As for her, it seems what is hindering her now is that promise with Sho = not to admit that she is in love with Ren.
I think what's holding Kyouko back is her fear she'll turn into a love idiot like she was with Shou, like she was about to do in the birthday present side story.
DeleteAs for Ren, he's wearing his watch on his left arm! So he's likely to react as Kuon, especially after remembering Kyouko-chan in tears.
Yup..and there is that bet Shou got from her if she is indeed in love with Ren.
DeletePossible..though depends, if he sees her with Shou.
Thanks a bunch Kat. You obviously stayed up late to do this (in my local time ... it is just supper time; care to join me? lol (*˘︶˘*).。.
ReplyDeleteI really want to understand more about Kyouko's mother, in real-life, I would say that this a pathological behavior. For me, I think that the mother has her own demons (it could be that she had her own issues with her mom, Kyouko's grandma). Whatever the reason might be, she has built an armor around her ... with spikes (and the first or maybe second one to get hurt is her daughter).
I believe that if the mangaka has re-introduced Show into the scene, it is because she might be planning to spike up things with Ren who always felt uncomfortable (jealous, insecure ...) at the sight of these two together, maybe he'll be "forced" to come forward with his feelings for Kyouko.
Finally, and though Shou has been a jerk since the start, he has kept imposing on Kyouko's life ... he doesn't know that she has already fallen in love with Ren. I have to say that in spite of everything I don't dislike his character because for 1) Kyouko got over with most of her hatred towards him and for 2) I think that deep down himself he knows that he is has always been an opportunist and he tries to redeem himself by showing concern towards Kyouko (of course it is too late because he is out of the competition, even he doesn't know it) lol :D
Thanks again and take care ╰(*´︶`*)╯
You're welcome, RoseFleur ^^ Yup, it is almost finished by midnight so I went ahead for it instead of delaying it for the next day..well, technically, it is already the next day. ^^;; Hehe..is that so.
DeleteNice way of putting it..true, what is the root reason.
Yup...there has to be a reason for it and that is the highest probable cause.
Ah, I think Shou knows that is why he got that dare/gamble with Kyouko to make her 'forever his' = admit you like Ren then go back to Kyoto as waitress..something like that.
Indeed..though regarding her mother, I think that it has always been something that made him concern about Kyouko regardless of Ren. Well, when he was young, he doesn't know how to comfort her though.
You're welcome and thanks~~~
If Ren shows up, how Kyouko responds to him might let Shou realize she's in love with Ren...then Shou the Ass might come back and insist she lost the bet.
DeleteTrue...and she doesn't seem to be in the mood for acting to cover anything up.
DeleteThank you for the summary Kat!
ReplyDeleteI knew that was Lory in disguise! Actually, him dressing like that is a good think too. Can you imgine what she'll think if he went all out. Though judging from Kyoko's expression regardimg her mom he's not stupid to do such a thing.
Ah, I feel so sad for Kyoko. Her mother did not have to go to that extent to say that she doesn't have a child. Kyoko's really trying to hold in her feelings, so I'd kind of be surprised that she'd cry in front of Sho. She just might regret that afterwards. Ren is conflicted into going to see her or not, or even calling her. Everything's complicated. I wonder how Kyoko will be able to act in the morning. Maybe she'll dive into character hiding her true feelings as usual. For her she can easily cry but when it comes to serious situations like these she wants to cover it very badly. Also, as for all three of them being able to watch it, jeez you'd think that won't happen, (well maybe in real life).
Huh? Wait, did we see that meeting in the car? Or did we see Lory dressed up like that at all after Kyouko's birthday party? DD:
DeleteD-did I miss something big?
~ Yuki
This is the first time for us seeing those two meet. And now that you pointed it out, this disguise is really really similar with the Daddy longlegs at Kyoko's party and before when he was the "sponser" for the grateful party. So no you didn't miss anything.
DeleteThanks for reading, Brittany ^-^
DeleteIndeed. Hm..what do you mean if he went all out? In dressing up or in terms of behavior?
For now, she hasn't shred a tear in front of Shou.
Possible..though this might be hard for her given that kind of statement from her mother so tonight [at their time], someone has to help her unload this hurt temporarily/permanently. So that, she can more or less, get in character again.
Hm..maybe it is because she doesn't want to show her weakness. Well, with Shou when they were young, I recall she mentioned that she hides because she doesn't want Shou to feel uneasy about it. Here, maybe she doesn't want to trouble the Daruma couple? But then, she did cried loudly before after the failed audition.
Ya.
When I mean all out, I mean how the president acts with all the themes he's into. Like Egypt or like during the commerical Kyoko and Moko starred in, making his grand entrance. Stuff like that. Lol.
DeleteLol, okay...Brittany. Indeed, what would she think if he did.
DeleteThank You Kat (^-^)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ^-^
DeleteActually, it makes sense that Shou beat Ren to the punch in some ways. 'Ren Tsuruga' technically does not know anything about Kyoko's mother so it wouldn't make sense for him to randomly show up. However, I'm guessing that even though Shou is there, Kyoko is still going to trying to get away from him and anyone she knows to prevent them from seeing her cry. My guess is that if that happens and Ren calls Kyoko to find that her phone is still off, then both Shou and Ren would have to put their differences aside to help her. Especially if she runs off, Ren shows up, and then Shou tells Ren what's going on. Then it'd be really nice if Ren was able to find Kyoko before Shou (since I'm guessing she's going to look for a wooded area and Shou knows nothing about that). Anyway, that's just my guess for the next couple of chapters.
ReplyDeleteThat's right.
DeleteYup.
Possible that they will help her together..I would be really curious how. Also, Ren supposedly shouldn't know about her mother. Though, I wonder if he'll slip up which might reveal who he really is. =P
True..some wooded area nearby..park/gardens that isn't closed in the middle of the night. Of course, probably just some place where she can be alone. Before..it was just at some staircase at LME...this one must be pretty bad that she left the Daruma.
Thanks so much for the summary, Kat! I am a little bit dissappointed Sho got there first. With the way Kyoko is acting now... I really hope she doesn't relapse emotionally.
ReplyDeleteI would hope Saena is redeemed, but right now I'm starting to believe that is not going to be the case, since Lory tends to be a good judge of character.
Anyways, thank you and I'll be biting my nails until the next issue!
Thanks for reading, Claudia ^-^
DeleteYa... Indeed.
That's right..Ren tried to say things on the bright side but Lory's expression means that it isn't so.
You're welcome ^-^
Thank you Kat!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ^-^
DeleteAh, ah, what a horrible to thing to say. And on national television too. If that's how it is Kyoko needs to completely cut off that woman from her life. If she never had a child, then Kyoko never had a mother. She's had guardians, and now has a psuedo family with Okami and her husband, with her Love Me members and LME. She's even been sorta adopted by Kuu. Hope she doesn't let this shock get tot her too much and for too long and remembers that quickly. And aww, I wanted Ren to get to her first.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Lidy.
DeleteYa...oh well.
LOOOL to that part regarding Shou can't understand jokes easily. He's just like my sister who likes him (^~^;)ゞ
ReplyDeleteFor me I like all this manga characters even the antagonists -except for Saena- but I really wanted it to be Ren who would meet up with her first this time, and since that didn't happen it's just because Ren isn't that free as Shou is = Ren is better: I'll think it this way(⌒▽⌒ゞ
Pooooor Kyouko o(╥﹏╥)o I expected her reaction to be hurt deeply but not to this extent. That shitty psycho Saena deserves to rot in hell for what she's done!! She's seeking the perfection in her daughter while she herself isn't, reminds me of Jake from "Eye Candy" if you watched it.
Really "A man can be destroyed but not defeated." Your selection of the quote is perfect as always, thanks alot Kat-Sama (*^▽^*)
Lol, Lolli..is that so.
DeleteYa...Yup, good way of thinking on the positive side ^^
No, I haven't watched it..but true. I guess the shock of her mother saying that..actually probably confirming what she has been thinking along can be quite bad at first.
=)
Thanks for the summary, I think when she went in her room she doesnt try to recall. There was two incident which she hopefully though that at least her mother gives her content and she doesnt opposite her occupy as an artist. But since she said that harsh words for her child kyouko dissappointed and felt that it was too naive to think like that.Thats why suddenly became tearfull. So as for comforting her one of them were to say it is okay not Being able to hate saena kyouko will moved by him ren or sho I don't now but I feel that sho will say don't be down for something trivia this is not like you since you are the girl gain strength and exceed herself by getting over diffuculties like what I did to you. For example :D
ReplyDeleteI noticed she left her mobile phone behind. So most likely ren wont be able to reach her easly. maybe kyouko didnt rush out aimlessly but to go find ren or corn himself. I remember flashback when she was child wondering with just corn Stone so it happens again and she may hope to see corn. Ren too find it unreasonable suddenly appear in front of her and while thinking a way he may came up with ıdea turning into corn. Ah so much possibilities :)
Thanks for reading, sozge ^-^
DeleteIs that so..actually, I don't recall those scenes except for the last one so I just mentioned recalled. ^^;;
Possible..though not sure if that can really comfort her in some way. I mean, it is difficult to just say that when they do not know how she feels..just like what Saena mentioned to the mother.
Oh..good observation. Well, if they see each other without the phone..and at some place else..it is fate ^^ And, I'm thinking along that line. It is the same when she was crying with Corn and dropped it down the stairs..then, Ren picked it up ^^ Actually, there are many instances of that already and hopefully, the mangaka will do it again.
thank you for you
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Atashi ^-^
DeleteThanks a looooot for describing it so soon...Ur really The BEST........Thanks so so much....Hope u do this great work for the future chapters of skip beat tooo.:):):):):):):):):).. From: Ray.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and the comment, Ray ^-^
DeleteWill do ^^
Thanks Kat!
ReplyDeleteI knew that Sho will have an upper hand in this situation. I think Ren is now furious at himself for actually dying his hair black again. If not, he could have pretended to be Corn that "descended from the fairy world to purify Kyokos soul with the magical kiss" or something of the like =^.^=
You're welcome, Alisa ^-^
DeleteLol...well, not dyeing might cause an accident revelation. Actually, since the mangaka specifically mentioned about the dye. It makes me wonder if ever something like knowing who Ren really is were to happen in this arc, Kyouko will know it without his real hair.
You are a total lifesaver! Thank you so much kat!
ReplyDeleteI really hope she sends shou packing! And that ren shows up and comforts her!
You're welcome, Viv R ^-^
DeleteLol...hopefully.
Thank you, Kat, for all of your summaries, comments and fitting quotes. I re-heally appreciate your work on this series (Skip Beat) - so good! By the way, your comments reminded me of "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning" Thank you for triggering that.
ReplyDeleteSadly, parents like Saena truly exist. If it came down to it, which one of these guys would be willing to leave everything behind if they needed to in order to save Kyouko. This is serious progress to me, I am feeling a bit bittersweet now because the ending seems to be drawing near. Wrapped up in about 90-100 more chapters, perhaps...? What do you think, sweet Kat?
~may
p.s. This summary/blog date is logged under March 21. Was that intended, or default due to your location? It is the 20th in my neck of the woods. heehee
DeleteThanks for reading, may ^-^ Hehe, is that so ^^ Hopefully, that happens ^^
DeleteHm..possibility, is more on Ren since Shou can be quite self-centered.
90-100 more chapters? Probably... If it is around that, it would be 7-8 more years? Well, depends on how much will be dealt with in this arc which might probably end by next year. I don't have the statistics..but I recall counting the last arc as one arc per year at its current pace. ^^;;
It is a default due to my location. ^^
Thank you kat for the summary , I really felt sorry for kyoko , I thought that she will be sad but not that much , and i think when she went out with corn stone she was going to ren , I hoped ren go to her first but shou appeared but I think she will run from him because he is the last person she wants to see her like this but as for ren I hope he go for her quickly as ren or corn , and i really want kuu to appears in this arc just hope , and sorry for my English if it's bad because I'm an Arabic girl .

Thanks for reading, Reemy ^-^
DeleteYa..it turned out to be such a shock for her. Lol..well, we can hope ^^
No problem, I can understand you.
Well, I think there is a slight chance, that Saena is really not Kyoko's mother.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Kyoko is her little sister, and after their parents' death she adopted her, and tried to bring her up, but simply did not succed? Saena lost to her sister, and she hates loosing. Dug a deep hole, and abandoned Kyoko. Kyoko could do anything, as long as nobody knows a relation between them. As long as nobody knows anything about her biggest mistake: Kyoko. Makes sense.
After all of this experiences I hope Kyoko will be strong enough to close her earlier life - including Sho and start a fresh, new one with Ren.
Thanks for the fast summary!
Probably, Judit..though what would Kyouko feel after all the suffering from thinking she is her mother and how she was treated then, it turns out that she isn't her mother. Even if she isn't the 'biological mother', she is the acknowledged mother by almost everyone in the story. Even she told Lory not to make their relationship known. If not, she could have said that biologically she isn't the mother so don't get the consent from her as the parent.
DeleteLost to an elementary kid? In what way? The grades in exam? True..if it is something awful, she wouldn't want to have anything to do with her.
I'm sure she will ^^
Thanks for reading ^-^
I don't think Saena could be Kyoko's sister, simply sound impossible for me, she's just to old... ^^ but if she's not Kyoko's mother then she could could be her aunt, I suppose, like that it would seems more possible ;) But I think that she's really is Kyoko's mother, if not Kyoko wouldn't be that hurt, she wouldn't call her 'mum' since childhood and her will to be accepted by her mother wouldn' be that strong, but that's just what my viewpoint maybe you're right ;)
DeleteAnd thanks to you Kat ! You really do a great work, without too much wait and that's reeeaaaally cool ;p Thanks for all what you've did :))
Doodie
Thanks for reading, Doodie ^-^
ReplyDeleteI've used google translate to understand you...it isn't that good but I can more or less, understand. ^^
DeleteYup...and hopefully, Ren will appear.
Indeed...but with the slow pacing of the series...'end soon' might take a long time for us.
Can't wait till the next chapter!!! Thx Kat!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ^-^
DeleteThanks for the summary! I wish I could be a fictional character in this manga, so I can strangle that bitch's neck! How could she said that?! I am mother of two kids, and I cannot bring myself to say what she said! Poor Kyoko. I bet she will struggle to move on in few chapters later. <3 Tika.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading ^-^
DeleteYa...
Indeed, Tika.
I... I can't deal with these feels by myself. Her reaction is so much more worse than I thought it would be! D: And the things she was trying to remember were her own GOOD thoughts about her mother. About her being a konjac jelly (first panel) and about her thinking that her mother was scolding her for her own good after the scowl (Natsu panel). And then, everything just BREAKS apart when she heard that she has no mother.
ReplyDeleteThis hurts so much I can't even put it to words! And to top it off, Shou had that lameass reaction. Ugh, it just made me madder! Uggh, go away, Sho! I WANT REN RIGHT NOW, RENN D: He'll probably come through the front door, though, will they miss each other?? Don't tell me she won't see him until the last minute waah ;_;
And I REALLY want to think Saena was actually telling the truth. She was saying she didn't experience 'childbirth', or at least carrying a child for 9 months. I'm REALLY hoping for that theory which she was raising her husband's love child or previous wife child or something. I'M IN DENIAL MODE. I CAN'T ACCEPT THAT A REAL MOTHER COULD SAY THAT TO SOMEONE SO PRECIOUS AS KYOUKO D:
I'm utterly broken, and it doesn't help that the next chapter is scheduled to be released two days after my birthday. It'll crush me Q__Q
~Yuki
Also, I wonder why Kyouko ran? She's not the type to wander aimlessly, I wonder where she thought she'd go? (sorry for thinking Ren's home right away, sorry... sorry... ;_; I know it's impossible).
Delete~Yuki
I think it was because when she had problems with her mother before she would take the Corn stone and go to their place by the river and cry. I think she was trying to go somewhere she could cry.
DeleteHmm, yeah, true! But still makes one wonder WHERE she thought she could cry! A place with no one close in Tokyo is nearly impossible, even if it's 2 am @_@
Delete~Yuki
March 20th is my birthday, Yuki. Happy birthday to me, right? Ugh. This chapter would have been okay (less upsetting) if Ren had gotten to her first, or even gotten to her. Instead we have Sho with his, "Ah, ah, so you did see it." I'monna smack'im. I know for him that's really tender and sympathetic, but let her go cry, dimwit! Like you ever succeeded in comforting her before! Ugh. I hope he's forced to tell Ren which way she went or something next chapter.
DeleteOh god, Tohru D: I hope that didn't ruin your birthday as much as I think it did >_>
DeleteI agree with you on everything, uggggggghhh I need to smack something to vent this anger I feel for Sho.
I don't think he'll even LET her go cry, raurg., That self-centered ass, ugh. I just hope nothing touchy-feely happens before (WHILE) Ren arrives.
~Yuki
Naaah. I'm resilient, like Kyouko! And although I think the mangaka is evil and cruel, I also trust her to make things turn out right in the end. I just hope the ending of Skip Beat! is a lot more romantically satisfying than the ending of Tokyo Crazy Paradise, which was disappointing. And Shou's bad, but he's not ENTIRELY bad. Just a putz.
DeleteYa..Yuki...and it would be more awful if Ren didn't manage to see her at all...
DeleteHm..that's a interesting theory..and her answer would make sense. Still, Kyouko doesn't know about it so it doesn't really spare Kyouko from that awful feeling.
At first, I'm thinking that it is because she doesn't want to disturb the Daruma couple. But then, she cried before there after the failed audition. And, she was okay just taking out corn near the staircase after Maria asked about her parents. So, maybe, it is also part of instinct? To go somewhere to cry but not really thinking where? Anyway, if it isn't any of that...maybe it is just because of being part of the plot.
Belated Happy birthday, Tohru13 ^-^
DeleteAnd yes, the mangaka can be like that...I mean, didn't Sho stole the 'first kiss'?
Indeed.
Thanks, Kat, for the summary. You are awesome to do this for us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and the comment ^-^
DeleteTHANK YOU FOR SUMMARIZING THIS BECAUSE I COULDNT WAIT. Omg I can't believe Shou beat Ren to this. URGH. SO MUCH FEEEEEELS.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading ^-^
DeleteYa...
As much as I was hoping Ren would be there, I knew it would be Sho. I think that even though Ren was trying to convince himself not to go to her, I think he will end up there. The question is how he will act when he sees her with Sho, my hope is that they will put aside their differences to support Kyoko. I also am hoping that Kuu comes back in the picture, even if its just a phone call. Why do we have to wait a month to find out what happens next... this is torture :(
ReplyDeleteYa, I think Ren would, SockOompaloompa. The question would be how..and probably where.
DeleteTrue..if Sho is still there. Yup..though I'm curious how they are going to support Kyouko together.
Ya...
Um what is WRONG with Ren? He plans to see her when he's temporarily in the country another day?? So his recollection of of a crying Kyoko is what might makes him change his mind and come and see her? So if she wasn't that upset he wouldn't see her AT ALL? I'm so disappointed in Ren and his lack of initiative/interest recently in Kyoko. Even Sho is showing more initiative than him.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, great recapping as usual and thanks! :)
yeah, I thought Ren was Mr.puntual! so what's up with him being so late when it comes to these kinds of matters???
Deleteeven that despicable brat Sho is faster than him now, even though I doubt that he going to be any help since he always stuns on the spot whenever Kyoko starts to cry! well if he does something despicable to make her forget other matters... actually I doubt that too, seeing the look on their faces.
anyway if that idiot Ren keeps dragging his legs like this he'll probably miss his chance!!!
Why are you guys so angry? D: He wasn't gonna go because of the possibility of her not having watched the program at all, hence making his visit meaningless! But after he saw crying Kyouko, he made up his mind and is going to go. Let's remind ourselves that Sho saw the program and went there IMMEDIATELY, while Ren still had to saty with Lory and drink.
DeleteI really want him to arrive quickly, but I think it'll be next chapter's cliffhanger D: He arriving while Sho and Kyouko are having a quarrel of sorts (the same kind he was unable to break into during the Katsuki arc)
~ Yuki
Hahhaha not angry! Just a bit disappointed that Ren wouldn't visit her at all if she didnt watch the programme. There's so many things he should have done for the sake of visiting her: giving her the LoveMe stamp as promised, as well as the video evidence. He had promised her that he would stamp it for her before the ink on her hand faded, did he not? But if not the fact that she was possibly miserable about her mother on the programme, he wouldn't have visited her until some other day where he would be in the country again... And that disappoints me. If she didnt need him, he wouldn't visit her.
DeleteAh, aside from his reason, it's early in the morning so practically, it has to be another day..or perhaps tomorrow. I'm not too sure about Japanese etiquette on visiting like just go into someone's house unannounced. But because of that young Kyouko crying, I'm sure he'll go..but probably in some indirect way or something. He didn't call her before going unless, he was still somewhere else. After this, he cannot call her anymore because she left her cellphone.
DeleteI think he is concerned enough to not listen attentively to Lory and ask about her mother. Whether Kyouko saw that program is indeed quite slim.
Thanks for reading ^-^
Hm..quarreling, Yuki...well, that would probably help Kyouko release her frustrations...or vent it on Shou.
DeleteActually, Shou didn't went immediately after watching the program. He went to work first = Shoko escorted him to the dressing room. He probably went afterwards since it is already in the middle of the night. Kyouko watched a recording of the program at the middle of the night.
Ya...how will things turn out if it is something like that again.
Ya..and actually, Ren has to come up with a better excuse for being there...visiting at the middle of the night than Shou. You see, iirc, Kyouko never told Ren about her mother issue. That was all from Ren's recollection of what she told him when they are young. Actually, I'm somewhat hoping that Ren would slip and mention about the real reason of the visit, if he manages to see her later on... that would make Kyouko wonder how come Ren knows when she never told him. Ya..I'm hoping this arc will also start Kyouko being curious again as to who Ren really is. ^^
DeleteLol, positive thinking ^^
WOW! I guess you have a point there. I really hope what you said is true (it really is the middle of the night?? You mean when Ren saw the program it was already the middle of the night? Or when he saw the program it was in the day, but then the next scene showed him with Lory drinking together in the middle of the night? Why didn't he find her straight after the programme if that's the case? D: Okay I'm being annoyingly picky. You do have your point about him not supposedly having any knowledge about her mother. Though their surnames being the same is kinda a giveaway... but I'm sure many people have the same surnames.) Anyway thanks for recapping, and I didn't mean to add any negativity to this site if that's what I did! :( I love your translations.
DeleteThat is based on the clock at Daruma's which is 12:35am. I figured that Ren saw it earlier, then had a drink with Lory. He didn't immediately go find her because of the reason he mentioned earlier. Also, he wants to know more about Saena from Lory. It is Kyouko who watched it at the middle of the night. So the timeline is, while Kyouko is watching the recorded program, Ren is talking with Lory. By the time he finished talking and Kyouko probably finished watching, it is already 1:17am..according to Ren's cellphone.
DeleteWhat I mean is, Kyouko didn't tell him about her mother so aside from the surname, he shouldn't know the impact of what Saena said. Like maybe it is an act or something rather than the truth which will surely make Kyouko feel hurt especially given their past.
Aside from having to hide his true identity and do not want to make her want to watch it if she didn't, he cannot just go to her house and say, have you been watching television? Actually, any excuse that isn't urgent isn't proper to just go to someone's house in the middle of the night. Hehe, she could be already be sleeping. Shou was there but he isn't ringing the doorbell but seems to be thinking of whether to call or not. Well, luck is on his side that she came out.
No problem ^^ Thanks for reading and the comment ^-^
Wow that Seana is so cold. Kyoko handles her Moms rejection so maturely but that was too much. Anybody would be heart broken. I'm glad that Sho showed up. Mind you I ship Kyoko x Ren but this is different. Sho grew up with her. They lived in the same house no matter how he acted when they went to Tokyo the fact remains that he is practically her family. I want him to enfold her in his arms. She needs to be able to cry it out. And then it would be nice if Ren showed up and saw them embracing.hehe
ReplyDeleteSho is interesting I hated him at first and he still is very selfish but I want to see him become a better person I want to see him realize what he did wrong and regret it. I want to see him try to win Kyoko back. I think it was be amazing development for him. Though of course she still needs to end up with Ren.
Yup.. though depends..Sho supposedly couldn't comfort her because of that issue. I'm not sure she would be willing to cry it in front of him again since it is ingrained in her mind that he felt awkward about it. Anyway, we'll see.
DeleteLol..and then, the thing about that, if Ren sees it..would Ren interrupt by charging in or just quietly leave?
I'm not sure if he would do that..because of his pride. If he did try to win Kyouko back..that would mean Kyouko got her revenge.
Thanks so much for the fast summary, Kat! Wow, what a chapter!
ReplyDeleteThe theories about Saena not being her biological mom are interesting, would definitely make her less despicable if the "never gave birth to a child" is actually a true statement. Otherwise I can't think of how to redeem her character. But then why would she bother to keep it a secret from Kyouko? Based on how horrible she has been, I imagine Saena would have said something like "why do I have to take care of someone else's child" right to her face.
I wonder if Kyouko was running out to see Ren... not necessarily to cry to him, but just instinctively because she's so upset and he makes her feel better. Or maybe to get him to hold or kiss "corn" again to give it a power-up. haha! ;)
It would be great if Ren turns out to be arriving right behind Sho. I think his flashback of little Kyouko crying at the end was foreshadowing that he would decide to go to her afterall. I would love for Ren to whisk Kyouko away without a word and leave Sho in shock, but that's just wishful thinking!!
Anyway, seems like lots of potential for the next chapter to be very interesting and eventful! :)
I don't know if the point is have Seana be redeemable though. It might be for Kyoko to learn to love herself even if she doesn't have her mother's love. It also might be to show that even though she doesn't have a biological family, she still has a family. She has Maria who thinks of her as a big sister, she has Kuu who calls her his daughter and I am sure Julie would "adopt" her too. I do think we will end up seeing Kuu again soon with him being mentioned in this chapter and all. What I would love to see is for the president to make her go back to Guam with Ren and resume being Setsu for a while, that way she could get comfort from Ren in a way that she can accept.
DeleteI totally agree, I don't think she needs to be redeemed. I didn't put my thoughts in enough context. I have read some previous discussion that it seems unlikely for the mom to be truly heartless and not have a reason for her behavior, based on the feel-good nature of the story and/or the author's previous works, or due to the magazine it's published in, or something like that (I can't remember if it's one of those or maybe all of those reasons!). So I'm just thinking that with this new development it seems like it would be very hard for the mother to be redeemed and have a happy mother-daughter ending for these two at this point. It does make sense though that the young female target demographic of readers might wish to see them reunite somehow. However, I'm fine with Saena continuing to just be something Kyouko must overcome in order to love herself and be loved, as you say. :)
DeleteI loved the story arc with Setsu & Cain, but I would also love for them to move on from the roles and hopefully be a little closer with each other in real life as a result of those roles. :)
Thanks for reading, squeaker ^-^
DeleteIndeed..she has always been the recognized mother. She even told Lory not to make their relationship known. She could have said that she isn't the biological mother or something. From her actions, I would think it is more like, 'why do I have a child like this'.
I think it is more on being alone with Corn the stone rather than going to Ren. I'm sure she doesn't want to just dash into his house in the middle of the night to cry about her mother whom she, iirc, never told him about. Something like, instinct I guess, like what she used to do before.
Ah yes..though I'm not sure if Kyouko at that state..will or will not let Ren whisk her away because of their bet.
But true, lots of possibilities in the next chapter. ^^
aah! that bitch of a mother really did it this time! does she have be such a shitty bitch! let's say ignoring her child is fine but publicly declaring that she does not have a child is just...! I really hate this type of women. this really makes me think if kyoko is a illegitimate child or something! poor kyoko! I hope that bitchy mother gets a scandal or something (with leaving kyoko out of it of course)
ReplyDeleteanyway about love rivals, I think kyoko won't do shameful things as hugging sho and crying.she would most likely hide her tears and run away saying she needs to be alone for a while! and then ren comes, sees kyoko running while crying and leaving dumbstruck sho behind! he would first go to sho and ask him what happened (most likely in a threatening tone, suspecting that he the one spill all the beans) and sho (who is still in shock from seeing kyoko's tears) would mumble something like 'she saw it' and next ren'll push sho away and run after kyoko to console her or something!!!
this is purely my stupid imagination,so something this dramatic would never happen but I really hope sho won't end up consoling kyoko!!
Hehe...ya..
DeleteHm..why not run after Kyouko first and who cares about confirming things with Shou? Of course, he can always catch up.
Ya..and if he did, I wonder how since it was noted that he couldn't quite know how to comfort her if the issue is about her mother.
After reading this I came up with juicy conclusion. What if Ren told Kyoko that his father to show that what your parents do or who they are doesn't matter. To be honest I'd rather see Ren confess his love to her to say "even if she doesn't care I do and always will." Kyaa! But there is something bothering me I don't know if I'm misunderstanding but I get the feeling the president is questioning the feelings binding these two together. When he questions that Ren would tell kyoko of such an important matter. And that Ren knows of Kyoko's mother as well. Oh no!!
Delete*What if Ren told kyoko that his father is Kuu. To show Kyoko who her parents are our what they do shouldn't matter. At this point Ren can reveal he is Kuon without revealing that he is Corn at this point. Damn Shou, I hope kyoko uses this chance to slap Shou in the face with the reality that Shou hurt Kyoko just as much as her mother has. He still doesn't understand that, he just thinks he loves her now so he can get her back and happily ever after. But he also corrupted her and made her unable to love. There's no way she can love him so easily now.
DeleteThat would be nice..something to progress their relationship.
DeleteI didn't get that kind of impression. I thought of it as he is surprised about how much Ren actually told someone about himself to someone he is interested in. Something like, he never did that before with the women he went out before. More on, they told each other things that one won't normally tell others so that means, they are closer than he thought they were. I'm wondering if he'll figure out that they knew each other when they were kids =P
I doubt he will tell her that his father is Kuu. I'm leaning more on him slipping about knowing about her mother when she never told him about it. How did he know? And, that will somehow lead to his real identity. ^^
DeleteHm.., Anonymous[2], that is possible though I'm thinking that at her state, she isn't inclined to slap him or anything unless he deliberately or not, agitated her...like making her shift her emotions towards him..but then, that would be unlike of Shou/out of character. ^^;
I'm really interested in how Kyouko will react to having Shou right there. Wasn't it just a few chapters ago (or was it when I was re-reading early chapters?) that Kyouko told Shou that he said he didn't like seeing her cry so she's never cried in front of him since? That's when she started going to the woods to cry. I pretty much want her to stick to her decision here and not cry in front of Shou. Seeing him might stiffen her spine a little bit and keep her from crying. But I hope it's temporary and that Ren shows up and takes her somewhere so she can cry. I hope she cries and confides in him, and that he holds her close, and then his brain shuts off a bit and he kisses her cross-eyed!! ... I don't think we'll get that sort of awesome juicy development, though. Not with this mangaka. She's too mean. ha ha. But I do think that there will be a moment where Ren and Shou and Kyouko are together and Shou will realize that Ren is head-over-heels in love with Kyouko -- he'd be sensitive to that since he loves her, too, and he's been suspicious for a while. That will send Shou into full-blown jealousy mode and that will really get things moving... but maybe not right away since we need to wrap up this Saena arc.
ReplyDeleteMy trouble here is that Saena's behavior has been so awful all along that I'm not entirely sure why this has so much impact. Yes, it's really really terrible to say something like that, but has she really never said anything that hurtful before? I feel like she must not have, but I'm not really sure how she could get this far and be so awful without saying something at least that bad in the past. I suspect she was just so very rarely THERE, and she also seems to be the cold calculating type that doesn't lose her temper and say things without choosing to, so that would make sense. She really seems so emotionless. Ironic that such an emotionally sensitive child like Kyouko could come from such a very cold woman.
I think for as bad as Saena was to Kyoko, she still acknowledged Kyoko's existence, even if she was "detestable." But, this was outright denying her existence. And she didn't do it in person but on on national television.
DeleteI think Saena's words would still hurt Kyoko because at the end of the day it's her mother and they may not really have a relationship, but Kyoko still looks for that approval from her. Kyoko couldn't turn cold towards her mother, many times neglected children become doormats and will do anything for their parent despite what their parent does for them in return. And even if Saena only ever says hurtful things to Kyoko, it'll never stop hurting, sure Kyoko already expects it from her mother, but it is her mother! Hurts like a b****h when your mother doesn't love you the way you want to love her.
DeleteYup, I think so, too, Tohru13. He felt awkward about it and doesn't know how to comfort her about it. Indeed...after all, this is the second person in the planet who hurt her badly.
DeleteTrue..though I'm hoping for a slip-up from Ren like how he knew about her mother. Since iirc, she never told Ren about it.
I think Shou already knows that Ren likes Kyouko. He has been taunting him for a while before. He also knows that Kyouko is interested in Ren that is why he pulled off that bet about her going back to Kyoto if she really loves Ren. But indeed, if all three meet, it will most likely get things moving a bit.
I guess it is because of the bluntness...and probably confirming with finality of what her mother thinks of her. It has been a trauma. Things are probably building up since meeting her mother yesterday, iirc, but was temporarily put aside when she thinks of Ren coming back.
Thank you for the summary, it seems to can continue a lot of interesting way. But im not hoping too much. Maybe Ren will show up, but don't going there, couse seeing them he will feel the same as before (he don't have place there). Maybe he will blame himself, not going right away. Or he not going at all, and Shou get a change for getting back Kyokos heart... I hope not, but if the author want a really long stories, then siomething like that will happen... Couse when Kyoko finally met with Kuon then not too much happened too...
ReplyDeleteBut what i wanna see is to Kuon come on his white horse and save the day XD
Thanks for reading ^-^ Indeed.
DeleteI don't think Shou will do that..at least, not so obvious. I'm thinking he has pride about it and probably know that Kyouko doesn't like him anymore. Based on her previous reaction of him earlier. Also, if he does that...it might mean that he is already regretting giving her up and that would mean, Kyouko has gotten her revenge from him.
Ya...
Was anyone else cursing Ren for not just wearing the Ren wig then he could have shown up for Kyoko as Corn?
ReplyDeleteFor me, nope, SockOompaloompa. I think for the mangaka to specifically mention that means she won't be pulling off an easy reveal for Kyouko to know who Ren is. I would prefer for her to know it without some accident like that.
DeleteThe impatient me has come forth again.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting impatient how the romance between Ren and Kyoko are going nowhere. I understand Kyoko acting so pure and virginal, because she is.... but Ren ? C'mon.... not sixteen yet, but has banged so many girls already, and in fact, would have seduced even the pure Kyoko before at his apartment had Kyoko not stopped it.
Hehehe..megaworthit
DeleteThey have other issues other than romance.
More than 200 chapters, kat....
DeleteI swear this started when I was in middle school. At the rate it's going, I'd be a grandmother , and it's still on-going.
* sigh *
I know it's not romance. And to think renxkyoko has been my signature name for years. Have you visited my website ? It's Renxkyoko's Space !
I used to have butterflies in my stomach everytime a new chapter is released, but now I barely read it. I just read your commentaries, and that's it. It's sad, coz I have 28 volumes gathering dust in my shelf. He he I stopped buying when Ren and Kyoko 's interactions bored me to tears.
Don't hate me, Kat !
Good thing Sho is in the scenes again. He's an as*, but there's more life in him than any of the main characters. I'm even more excited with Yashiro's appearance. ^^
I hope it picks up again. I don't even care that the mother has finally appeared. We all know already that she's a b*tch. Ha !
But I'll try to read this again. But Ren seriously bores me to tears. LOL ( I hope my eyes don't get poked by Ren fans. )
Lol, a lot of people say that.
DeleteHehe..I admit that I also read it for it at first..and it finally dawned to me that this is going to take its sweet time to get there and it won't just be about the romance. So I have adjusted my expectations accordingly ^^
Hehe, is that so.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your summaries. I've been reading your blog for a while now :)
By the way, regarding the word 小卷, it's usually read as "komaki" or "omaki". My best bet for a Japanese surname would be "Komaki", but I could be wrong though.
Cheers! :)
Thanks for reading, menonama ^-^
DeleteThanks for the help ^^
Kat, I always look forward to your summaries darling. Thank you so much for putting in so much effort every month for us. Gah, I have so many mixed emotions. I love Shou and Ren. I agree with a lot of the mixed comments above, from Kyoko seeing Shou there and if she'll reveal her emotions or not, or wait it out until Ren comes to see her/calls to see her? And the romance between those two.. like so many others, my little impatient me on the inside is just dying. However, I do feel like these are necessary chapters. I just really want some Ren comforting Kyoko soon. Like next chapter soon. And Shou coming to realise just how deep both of their emotions lie. Maybe. I d o n t know. Why do I still love Shou? T 3T my heart makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, thank you! ♥
Thanks for reading them, Nanami ^-^
DeleteRight now, calling isn't an option since as someone pointed out, she left her cellphone.
True...
Ah..that is how love is..
I always felt like Kyoko's dad may have left them when she was little, making Saena have to work to support them both. As such, she probably considered both the relationship and Kyoko's birth a mistake. Denying she has a child could be her way of just keeping up appearances.
ReplyDeleteAs for the whole Ren situation, I think we're about to see some major progress. Of course Sho is going to get there first. He knows exactly who Saena is and doesn't think things through. Ren is in a more difficult spot. Tsuruga Ren has no idea who Saena is to Kyoko; Hizuri Kuon doesn't know her either but when it's revealed that Saena is indeed Kyoko's mom, he knows how horrible she was to Kyoko. Since he's in his Ren character, how is he supposed to just rush to her side and then explain why he showed up? Also he actually considered the possibility that she might not have seen the program and he didn't want to bring it to her attention in that case because he didn't want her to be heartbroken over it. Even though he took care of her when she cried as a child, he's in love with her and doesn't want her to cry.
I am seriously hoping that this is going to culminate in some major revelations. Is this how Kyoko learns of Ren's true identity? What's the deal with Murasame? He has gang connections. How far reaching are they? Is there some connection with Rick's group in the U.S. or is this just a catalyst for helping Ren through his trauma? After all, Lory mentioned how Murasame is moving through his past to become a star. Maybe Ren can finally let go and allow himself to move on from his past as well?
So many possibilities!!
True...
DeleteI think Ren..as Kuon.. more or less have an idea about her mother being horrible..though as you mentioned, probably do not know the extent of it. That's right...and it is in the middle of the night. Making her watch the videos aren't that urgent enough to make her not wonder why he would suddenly come.
Yup..I would love that she'll get a hint on Ren's true identity. ^^ And yes, that thought crossed my mind..why is Lory mentioning it all of a sudden here..there has to be a reason.
Indeed ^^
I don't really like Sho, and I hate the fact that beat Ren, but I somehow expected it to happen given their personalities. Sho knows Kyoko a lot better than Ren in a lot of ways, and is more spontaneous than Ren that has to calculate and create a reason for everything he does when it comes to her, so that is why I expected. But I never expected his reaction to be like; it makes me almost want to worship Kyoko x Sho, very sweet. Nevertheless though, I did not want Sho to be the one to see her in that state because she is very vulnerable right now, and I don't want Ren to find them hugged together. Imagine Ren seeing together the girl he likes with the guy who broke her heart in the past and from which she would hide in order to cry. Bah, Shotaruuu!!!!
ReplyDeleteMurasame it seems will become an important secondary element to the development of Ren, so I am looking forward to seeing it. Also, it is not Lory's personality not to meddle so I am looking forward to what he is going to do as well.
Thank you for the great summary Kat!
That's right, DragonCryings. Hehe, is that so.
DeleteIndeed...misunderstandings can cause trouble = more chapters before we can actually read what we really want to happen.
That's right.
Thanks for reading ^-^
Poor baby Kyoko... I just wanted to give her a hug... Okami's reaction was gold and a bit sad because i think she realized that even when Kyoko lives with them, they dont know much about her. I wasnt surprised Sho went there first because hes tht impulsive and reacts faster than Ren that has a lot to hide especially rn since he mainly has Kuon's memories of her relationship with her mother. I cant stand Sho and I dont think she wants to see him... He seems like hes turning his face away from her so I wish Ren could arrive and let it show that shes Kuon for once and for all because THIS IS THE MOMENT!
ReplyDeleteIts curious how Kuu was pretty much forced to act like Ren isnt his son while Saena goes around saying with her own mouth that she has no children and makes Kyoko act like they dont know each other... Hope Kuon can appreciate what he has and understand his parents' sadness too
Indeed, GoldenGluvzKJ2 ^^
DeleteHm..good point there...well, in Ren's case, I think it is partly because of his 'secret identity'. Anyway, hopefully, it will also lead to that. ^^
i dont know why i have this feeling but from what i remember kyouko mother didnt want kyouko to touch her. it feels like she went under some kind of abuse then give birth to kyouko ( if u know what i mean :| ) . and there were no father figure in the story from the beginning ... and the mother looks like she hates kyouko which leads to me thinking : "some thing realy bad happend involving kyouko birth"....
ReplyDeleteI agree! I'm surprised no one mentioned this before!
DeleteAwww I agree but even if something like this did happen it's not Kyoko's fault. She shouldn't treat her daughter like that. Maybe she despises the father and the father was gone before she could show these feelings so she holds them on Kyoko. But that's still cruel how could you hate a child who is so innocent and loves you despite the mother being a b***h.
DeleteYa..that is a possibility, Sarvii. Or rather, a reason why she is acting that way towards Kyouko.
DeleteI agree. I wonder if the author will draw a comparison between Saena and Kyouko. Kyouko rejects love so thoroughly, maybe Saena does the same? Kyouko focuses completely on her work and becoming a world reknown actress, maybe Saena did the same with becoming a lawyer? Kyouko hates Sho with a raging, demonic hatred, Maybe Saena felt the same about Kyouko's father? Why isn't he in the picture? Maybe Saena's feelings spilled over to Kyouko? Maybe she has also been betrayed by those she loves until she cuts off all possibility of love, even for her own child? Even so, I would like to believe Kyouko would never do that to a child. But I think that Saena's reasons for acting the way she does may be similar to Kyouko's reasons for rejecting love, and it may lead the way to healing for them both? Kyouko has to learn to embrace love somehow before the end of the managa and I feel like it has to involve 1) Forgiving her mother, 2) Forgiving Sho, and 3) Confessing to Ren. Maybe something else? Does she have any other traumas that I missed?
DeleteThat is a possibility, Vorpaks..though most probably, Kyouko won't end up like her because their personalities are different. In a way, Kyouko dealt with it differently than Saena..if it is indeed like that.
DeleteI think you got all of it..though with Sho probably getting her 'revenge' by making him sorry that he dumped her, and also, becoming really famous as a talended actress ^^
Oh oh oh! This makes me happy -- that Shou beat Ren to it. Though I am not keeping my hopes up. I personally think Shou has always cared for Kyouko since young but never knew how to show it or he doesn't realize it or he won't amid it. I doubt that he'd do a good job showing it now. I wouldn't be surprised if this leads to bantering since Kyouko may misinterpret Shou's presence in the first place. BUT... if Shou actually does a good job, I'd be happy. Then we might be seeing another jealous Ren-Shou faceoff in the near future. :D
ReplyDelete*admit it. Thanks Kat once again! :)
DeleteHehe...true, Jacque though probably a bit too late after what he did = 'using her and plan to dump her after becoming famous' and upon realizing that some other guy is getting close to her.
DeleteWell, that depends on if he has learned some 'comforting crying Kyouko because of her mother' skills ^^ And yes, that is most likely to happen.
You're welcome ^-^
I hate Sho! Where the hell is Ren?! He should have been there! He needs to man up!
ReplyDeleteHehe...still on his way?
DeleteI love how everyone ship kyoko × Ren yet still like that Sho is there for her.. I think the bastard needs some quality time with kyoko. (i like both ren and sho) one more thing, this feels like it's developing the story to its end. I mean, suddenly getting her mom in the picture means they're going to resolve things with her. ugh no wonder kyoko grew up not wanting love or to be loved.. her childhood was loveless (well, that's why she got attached to shou in the 1st place). I WANT MORE.. THANK YOU THO. I LOVE YOUR POSTS 😭😭😭💖💖💖
ReplyDeleteYup, جودي..}~..it seems to be ending yet...I think it will still take a very long time.
DeleteThat's right. Thank you and you're welcome ^-^
Thank you so much for the detailed summary Kat! I am actually starting to forgive Shou since he seems to really care about Kyouko. Of course he is still a brat, but slightly better in that sense. Ren really should not over-think things and get to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd now we have to wait for another month!
Quynh
Thanks for reading, Quynh ^-^
DeleteWell, in some way, I do think that he cares for her though his being self-centered among other things tend to get in the way.
Yup...though I can understand his hesitation.
Indeed.
Thank you for this.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome ^-^
DeleteCOME ON Ren! Sho's being really kind and now I'm getting mixed feelings!! ;(
ReplyDeleteHehehe..JWonder.
DeleteI don't think Sho will be able to comfort Kyoko completely but he can help. And I am guessing that Ren will also be running to Kyoko's side, he might even see Kyoko and Sho together. And ugh, I badly want a Ren and Kyoko moment. After reading Tokyo Crazy Paradise, I just want to see Ren and Kyoko in a romantic scene just like Tsukasa and Ryuuji. And I don't hate Sho because he is adorable and all plus he makes things interesting when he's around but with what's currently happening, I really want Ren and Kyoko.
ReplyDeleteHm..Jah..like making her get angry at him to release her frustrations on her mother?
DeleteYa..
Well, for the plot/scenes, I'll agree though I cannot say that I like the guy because of what he did to Kyouko.
i dont ship ren&kyoko or shou&kyoko . I seriuslly love the manga and im reading it againg and againg until the new chp will come :S so maniac to this manga though , but Ren.... what? a sexdy mature killer? couze he did kill someone true?? tough the manga dosent explain if it was an accident ( no though) and Shou a guy who maker lower ! she worked so hard fr him ..u know what he did to her.. unforgibablee!! ( not good good eng words so sorry ) but seriuslly i no mind with she ends up i just hope that at the very end she can be happy , and hope that her mom can made up her wrong..foults.. ( :D ) and mabe she qill meet her father?? i dont know why but i keep thinking tht the father must be so rich and he left them or he was an actor too?? and maybe just he didnt know tht kyoko mom was pregnant and alll come by a misunderstanding... mmmmm dont know how this will end up , but im wishing so muchh the happiness of kyoko :)
ReplyDeleteHehe, is that so, Jessica.
DeleteKiller..not really..but rather, from the flashbacks, it seems to be indirectly kill or someone was killed because of him/got involved with him. He was chasing after some guys and one of those guys ram the car on his 'friend' and the 'friend's girlfriend' blamed him for it.
I'm sure she'll end up happy...after all, this is basically a 'fairy tale' ^^
I don't know about the father..I get the impression that he's already dead. That is a possibility...we do not know anything about her father.
thanks so much for summarizing this chapter. I'm really happy that we're seeing more of the relationship between Kyoko and her mother.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Saena will end up being quite the bad guy in the picture due to the fact that we see her several times looking at the page with Kyoko's info and review of her latest show, plus the info that she was paying Sho's parents to take care of her. I do think that bit about never connecting the two of them probably has something to do with whoever is Kyoko's dad.
As for her saying that she has no kids on TV, if no one in her office knows she has kids she's not going to say on tv that she does, especially if for some reason she never told Kyoko's father that she was pregnant.
Thanks for reading ^-^
DeleteI see..that is possible.
I agree and also, she would be put on spot over her advice to the mother since it quite cold if she is a mother. Of course, she is also saying the same thing when she told Lory that she rather not want her relationship with Kyouko be known in public. It makes me think that she partly means it when she said that on the television.
Rather than "not easily understanding jokes", I thought it was more of he's late in watching the shows and therefore he laughs later than everyone else who watches it when it airs. So then he hears the joke/gets the joke later and is slow to be up to date unlike everyone else.
ReplyDeleteIs that so...well, he mentioned about his self-ego/pride being hurt so I assumed it is that. ^^; Unless, he is the type whose self-ego is hurt because others get to watch it first before he does.
