Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai [Chapter 54]

On March, it is the graduation ceremony of the Akechi Academy. Holding a camera, Mitsuru tells Aoi and Mego to come and take a picture for a remembrance. Aoi had smoothly passed the entrance exam for T University and tomorrow, he’ll leave for Sendai. After taking a picture of Mego and Aoi holding his diploma, Mitsuru congratulates Aoi for smoothly getting admitted to college and that he won’t be wearing a uniform anymore. Sobbing Mego is there to celebrate with them. Mogami exclaims that he also graduates this year. His underlings are glad about it that they congratulate Mogami. Mogami notices Mego hiding behind Aoi. Blushing Mego is glad that Mogami finally gets to graduate this year. Blushing Mogami exclaims who is this beautiful girl, and she unexpectedly looks similar with Mitsuru. Mitsuru introduces her to him as his twin. Mogami is all hearts that Aoi had an ominous premonition.

Then, the cats also came to see Aoi off. Chiharu tells him that he’ll help Aoi in looking after them. With cats on him, Chiharu says that for some reason, they are sticking all over him. Mego thinks that small animals easily goes near Chiharu and in the end, he is very similar with Aoi. Chiharu hugs Mego and teases Aoi that he’ll also jointly take care of her. Aoi quickly snatches Mego back and tells him not to touch her. Chiharu says what, isn’t he leaving her and going to Sendai. Chiharu worriedly asks Mego if she won’t be lonely. Mego happily smiles and exclaims that she totally won’t and anyway, she is very happy for it is related to Aoi’s future. Also, it is her parent’s native place, and she can go see him during vacations.

Deep inside, Mego is crying for even if she said that, she is just acting brave, she’ll really be very lonely. She really doesn’t want to part with him and she unexpectedly became uneasy. Flustered Mego doesn’t want to make Aoi feel perplexed and she absolutely cannot cry in front of him. Aoi and Chiharu can only look at her. On the second day, the Shinkansen had arrived. Aoi tells his little send-off group that he’s going. Kagetsuna who tells him to pay attention to his health and if something happens, he’ll immediately fly over to him. Teasing Mitsuru tells Aoi not to have an affair if he meets a beautiful girl. Angry Mego scolds her twin. And, Shino just blushes. Then, Mego holds some lavender flowers to Aoi. She tells him that these are from her and Shino. She thinks that lavender is their bond, and it is also the scent that enabled them to meet.

Mego tells him that in Hanakotoba [the language of flowers], lavender is ‘mutual promised love’, ‘expecting happiness’ arrival’ and ‘a ‘waiting for you’ love’. Sticking out her tongue, Mego says but she won’t wait that much for when she thinks of him, she’ll go and see him. This made Aoi hug her. He thanks her for always resisting her lonely heart and smiling at him. This made Mego start to cry. She curses for she wanted to smile for him. Still hugging her, Aoi smiles and thanks her. She mentally tells him not to use such a gentle voice to thank her. So with tears and always repressed feelings, Mego pushes Aoi into the train and apologizes to everyone for she is going to monopolize Aoi for one minute. While Shino blushes, Mitsuru cheers her on to not to think and just properly go lovey-dovey. Irked Kagetsuna is restraining for today.

Inside the train, Mego holds Aoi’s hand and asks him to forgive her willfulness but in the end, she couldn’t endure it. She tearfully asks him to hug her tight for one minute. She tells him to change this few time when they are about to part, change all of it into his kiss. She wants him to melt all of these loneliness and uneasiness from her heart. Aoi did as told as he hugs her tightly while kissing her. After that, he kisses her eye, kisses her neck, a bit of French Kiss and a bit more of other lovey-dovey things for one minute. She felt that it is like he is saying, ‘I love you’ in this short yet long 60 second kiss. Back at the platform, they hold hands as the train announces that it will be departing. Mego says that it is time. She thanks him for she is now fully recharged.

Thinking that she is unwilling to part with him but she has to be strong, she assures him that she already doesn’t feel lonely. She tearfully wishes him a nice trip. As she turns to leave, he calls out to her and kisses her hand. She blushes for he kissed her left ring finger. After the train door closes, Mego notices that there is something on her hand. It is a wing pendant necklace. She turns to see Aoi by the window who shows her the other pair of the pendant on his neck. When formed together, it is the shape of a heart-swan-wing pendant. Mego thinks that it is a wing lovers’ necklace. Mego is moved for it is a proof of two becoming one wherein, no matter how far they are separated, their hearts are together, always together. The train leaves as the others look on. As Aoi leave with a smile, happy Mego thinks that it isn’t goodbye but rather a new start. “Tokyo and Sendai, 350 km romantic love. Right now, a love that surpasses distance. Miraculous love’s final arc is about to start. Blurb: “Next, Aoi and Mego long distance love’s unexpected twist and turns..!! And also, Azusa and Mitsuru’s reunion..?”

Comment: And, I guess this ought to be the last transition chapter for the new last arc. It reminds me of the time when the blurb kept on mentioning of Aoi’s past when Chiharu is going to be introduced. ^^; So, Aoi graduates and so did Mogami..long time no see. I wonder if he’ll disappear from the series or there is something to Aoi’s ominous premonition. Chiharu will be taking care of things there. Actually, the animals though I’m not sure if he will really also take care of Mego while Aoi is away. Kind of because he still likes her and he is his friend’s girl. Mego tried to keep up a brave front but in the end, she had shown her true feelings. A momentary weakness but of course, it is some lovey-dovey stuff for the readers. Kagetsuna is still overprotective. And, I recall he believes that Mego is the ‘attacker/aggressive one’ in their relationship especially since Aoi is nice and timid ^^; Mitsuru still loves to tease. I momentarily forgot that Shino had a handicap when I was wondering why she isn’t saying anything but just blushing and smiling. ^^;; I wonder if Aoi also momentarily forgot to give the necklace until the last minute. Of course, that is probably for the climax of the chapter. Nevertheless, that pendant is really nice. I like it because even if it is a lovers’ necklace, it isn’t exactly a similar thing. Each pendant is specially for his and hers but together, it forms into a heart ^^ So, the new arc would be problems regarding a long distance relationship and hopefully not the usual, ‘other girl/boy’ with one’s lover and making the other jealous. Or, if it is like that, I hope it will be done differently. Well, at least for Mitsuru, it seems that his ‘temporary separation’ with Azusa is over ^^ Scans by 夜莺工作室
