Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapter 46]

At Hakuyou’s harem, the coldhearted Wolf King and the working consort are also acting today to make the people envious of a very lovey-dovey married couple. While Reishou holds her, Yuulin tells him that she prepared scented tea today. As the couple holds their tea cups, Reishou says that it turns out to be like that, pitiful sweet fragrance is like the king’s consort. Wondering what he is saying, blushing Yuulin says yes, is that so. She looks at him then leans closer to him. This surprises Reishou as he looks at blushing Yuulin. At his office, Reishou says that he feels that Yuulin is strange. Thinking of some weird cuckoo Yuulin bird, Jun says that she basically is. Looking at some paperwork, Reishou says that is actually right but then, it feel different. Jun thinks that His Majesty’s awareness is also like an ordinary person. Reishou says that even if they are more familiar with each other now but before..it seems like she would escape while they are in the acting mood. Blushing rabbit will quickly run away from the black wolf and says that it is impossible. Reishou would tell her that there’s no need to be ashamed but she would say, geez, Your Majesty.. That kind of fresh feeling.

But lately, she would lean on him on her own. “It is like, she is doing her best as if her life depended on it. That kind of feeling. *scowl* It is somewhat a bit perplexing.” Aghast Jun asks what he is saying. Reishou sighs and says that in the end, his aunt say unnecessary things and isn’t she forcing herself to do her best in being a professional consort.. “I don’t want to do a detestable thing [to her].” [<- she’s unintentionally seducing him] He imagines the trembling rabbit laying down on the plate. Jun asks isn’t that good? Reishou says forget it, he doesn’t understand even if he talks about it with him. Jun says that he knows that ‘no way out’ feeling, for he is filled with that kind of feeling..does Reishou need for him to explain him the reason. Reishou sighs and goes back to work. Tense Jun thinks that it is totally unexpected for he didn’t think that ‘Wolf king’ would be quite fond of that working lady. Using a working consort is going smoothly, avoiding marriage is also going smoothly as well as His Majesty’s work, but then, his orientation [/tendency] isn’t too good.. “It cannot be help..only towards Yuulin-sama, alone, having this wonderful attachment.” Jun tells Reishou what he thinks of a little change of mood, and there is precisely one report..

A few days after at the harem’s forbidden entry area, cleaning lady Yuulin says that she felt that His Majesty is strange. Munching on a rice cracker, Dai asks isn’t he basically [strange]? Flustered Yuulin exclaims what is he saying, isn’t it too mean to say such words to a perplexed person!? Surprised Dai says it’s quite unreasonable [/makes no sense] for she herself is saying that. Calming down, Yuulin says that in short, Reishou has been coming [to the harem] quite late and she thinks that he has quite a lot of work. “When he comes, he is a bit washed out, or perhaps, he is in good spirits. (I’m only working here so it isn’t good to probe deeper, right..)” Gen says that it is a woman. Yuulin turns around and says, huh? While joining Dai in eating, Gen says that it is fickleness [/capricious] and there is a secret hidden in one’s heart, he definitely wants to become a woman!! [<- I don’t quite get this one but I guess about being fickle like a woman?] This shocks and confuses Yuulin.

While Yuulin is freaking out over fickleness and woman, Dai is suppressing his laughter. Laughing Gen shouts for her to immediately take actions or else, she won’t be able to get him back. At the harem, the two are having tea again. Yuulin is staring at tense Reishou and wonders, fickleness..and is he also doing that in the imperial palace..? “It is because I’m just working that even if it cannot be mentioned, is it really fickleness. In the Wolf king’s acting..is there a habit of act as a woman.. *recalls him saying that is considered a French kiss* It is impossible, right..? How can it be.” Worried Reishou asks what’s up, she isn’t talking today. “Is there something that makes you unhappy..?” She blushes for it is the puppy. She exclaims that it is nothing, nothing at all, look, she’s quite lively!! This made puppy Reishou wag his imaginary tail. Then, leaning close to him again, Yuulin thinks that she cannot, there is no proof and she cannot just casually doubt so she’ll just hide these things a little bit.

At the government hall, Yuulin stares at Reishou. She thinks that in times that she doesn’t know, is there something going on that he won’t let her know. Holding some scrolls, Houen asks her why she is always sitting there and always staring at His Majesty’s face. “Please be prudent and do not hinder His Majesty’s actions.” Yuulin mutters that he’s quite rude. Then, deciding to investigate it, Yuulin asks, “Houen-sama, is there any part of His Majesty that you think is like a woman?” Aghast Houen says that this time, she wants to hinder his work, right? “Since you insist on talking about it, of course. Honest, accepted [/proper], intelligent, has education [/training], and clever. There is no other person who can compare more to His Majesty’s excellence. Quickly become a modest female who’ll get out of the limelight and support His Majesty from behind!!!” [<- absolute ideal] Yuulin thinks that this man really likes the Wolf king. He tells her that it is okay to just stand in a far away place and look [at Reishou]. Yuulin angrily thanks him for his blunt opinion, and about making her go to a faraway place, that’s really too bad.

Houen says that it seems that she isn’t conforming to the standard norm requirement [/condition] and besides, she is allowed by His Majesty to say at his side. “What is needed is for you to properly grasp [the opportunity]. When needed, properly respond to His Majesty’s expectation. *turns around to leave* I do not have leisure time to dwell on this worrisome nonsense issue. Just use the time to improve yourself in places that you are lacking. First of all, go return first to the harem. That is a suggestion.” Yuulin thinks that he is angry like before but then, he’s very honest and straightforward. She thinks that aside from the fickleness, she doesn’t know the other things that Reishou is hiding. “I also have my own approach, so first, give him a bang.” Going to the harem, Reishou happily says that he’s back. Thinking that she’ll naturally say it, Yuulin lets Reishou sits beside her at the sofa. Yuulin exclaims for him not to say that kind of lie. “So I’m saying.. *blush* About that.. This.. While calling out to him why she is sitting on his lap, Reishou asks why she would suddenly say that kind of thing. Blushing and dizzy Yuulin says, no, that is lately, he has been coming back late.. Holding her hand, Reishou says that isn’t this like lovers..? Feeling that the atmosphere is becoming a bit terrifying, wolf Reishou says then..this time, want to go straightforward? Yuulin is freaking out while thinking that it is a fickleness [/impulsive] scene. Smiling Reishou says so it is decided. Nervous Yuulin says yes, yes. Trembling Yuulin thinks that unluckily, in the end, she still don’t have that kind of awareness..!!

Later on, on top of the castle wall, Dai tells cleaning lady Yuulin that it is here, do not stretch out her head too much. Yuulin asks if it is really this place, because this place is.. Dai peeks down from the wall and says, yes, His Majesty isn’t here, but he is nearby. “Look over there.” Yuulin is surprised to see Reishou training in arms with Kokuu. She says that it is that secret agent before at the city. Dai explains that basically, Kokuu just did a little investigation and after finishing the report, he came back here. Afterwards, he switch to working as the sparring partner in the military section’s training grounds. Yuulin says that it is very rare to see Reishou that way, and right now, he is very happy. Dai says wrong, this is the reason for his fickleness. Flustered Yuulin exclaims that if he knew then why he didn’t tell her. Chuckling Dai says that he won’t because it is very interesting (His Majesty’s reaction). Yuulin continues to be flustered over this.

Then, she looks down to see Reishou talking with Kokuu. She thinks that he seems very happy. Dai says that soldier-sama really likes him [Reishou] ever since before and basically, he is the Wolf king’s relative-in-arms but because of all sorts of things, the imperial palace is now at peace [/balance among those in power] so, it is quite distant [/different] from how it was before. [Reishou leading an army] A great man has a great man’s troubles and obviously he really likes do to what he pleases. Yuulin thinks that even if they don’t talk too much about it, this is His Majesty whom she doesn’t know. Terrifying and sweet is acting as Wolf king. And the kind far king, actually she wants to go closer. She is startled when Reishou looks up and sees her. She quickly hides that Dai asks her what is it. Yuulin says that just now, her eyes met with Reishou, why, at this distance. She nervously says that she is going back to the harem but Dai refuses for she has been found so isn’t it good for her to be there since he’ll probably come over. He asks if she wants to run away for it is like the scary wolf coming over? Yuulin thinks that for a moment there, it felt that she has been seen through. She is nervous when Reishou calls out to her. Dai takes his leave for them to chat.

Reishou bends down to her and asks if the misunderstanding [about his fickleness] is resolved. Relieved that it is the puppy, Yuulin says it has already been resolved. She tells him that it is good if she can tell her about this for he is really amazing. Puppy Reishou sheepishly says ya, it isn’t interesting to talk about this rough place to one’s wife, right? He asks her if actually, right now, isn’t she afraid so isn’t it better not to say it. Yuulin exclaims what he is talking about, she isn’t that delicate. “This small thing isn’t scary. I’m competent with this kind of work! Please, there’s no need to be polite!! (Probably right now, what I’m scared of the most is when I’m moved [/her heart goes dokidoki for him]).” After looking at her, he asks if it is true. “It moves me to see you passionate about this work. *hold her hand* ..since you ‘strive hard’ so much, can we try a little bit, doing some consort work?” Yuulin wonders why right now, she is looking at the Wolf king. She seems to become aware that she is a rabbit who unwittingly lay down on the plate. Meanwhile, Jun pushes up his glasses and thinks that using Kokuu as someone to lighten Reishou’s pressure, then Reishou ought to calm down. Narration: “His Majesty doesn’t know of Li Jun’s feelings.”

Comment: And because of Yuulin’s leaning on Reishou, he thinks she’s strange. Because he’s coming to the harem late and in a good mood, she thinks he’s strange. ^^; The little things that can cause a misunderstanding. Apparently, the ones they are asking for some advice aren’t properly giving it to them. Jun cannot because he doesn’t approve of the relationship but then, he decides that some sparring with Kokuu would relax Reishou. Hehe, no wonder he is bored with paperwork, he is more of a military guy. What Dai said is true, he has his own problems as king..and it is those do this and do that. Even if the others are quite uptight about it, it seems that even if Houen is too, he is open to new ideas that do not conform with the norm. As for Yuulin, Dai is not giving her proper advice since he is amusing himself with how Reishou would react. Gen is overeager for them to do something more than they are doing now so he is making Yuulin perplexed over an imaginary problem. ^^; As always, the things Yuulin blurts out are really amazing.
