Akai Ito [Chapter 28]

Flustered Chihiro nervously looks at the brochure and thinks that a trip..means that..going to have H [/sex] at this place. Sho has to call out to her to snap her out of it. Chihiro struggles to say something because she doesn’t know how to react but if she is quiet, he’ll definitely misunderstand it. Hiding her face in the brochure, she says that she was startled since he is suddenly saying this kind of thing when she hasn’t thought it over. Sho says so, it isn’t so sudden for earlier, he wanted to do this with her. This surprises Chihiro again and says that it seems that he is a honest guy (and even if she feels that this is very good but he would suddenly say that he thought of it earlier on). Sho tells her that if she doesn’t agree to it, she should take this opportunity since he’ll listen. Looking away, Chihiro thinks that he obviously knows that she cannot refuse. She tells him that asking her like that is quite cunning. Sho hugs her. She clings on to him and mutters, “..I’ll go..” Holding up his fist, Sho exclaims, “Great. Yes!” Chihiro wonders why Sho is so happy. Chihiro tells him that before that, she wants to have a date because until now, there is always some club activity and they weren’t able to do any date-type of thing so she doesn’t want to suddenly go on a trip. She wonders if he is angry over that. Touching her nose, Sho apologizes that he is a bit rash. He says okay, where she wants to go for a date. “Let’s go to some nearby place. We don’t have club activity tomorrow, right? Let’s go then.” Sho is speechless when Chihiro looks relived. She doesn’t know why the mood suddenly becomes relaxed.

Smiling Sho says, “We’ll ABSOLUTELY go DURING WINTER VACATION! I really anticipate going to all sorts of places.” Smiling Chihiro says ya, she also anticipates it. Sho tightens a fist again and thinks, “Great!” Chihiro is puzzled by that. Sho happily says whether or not, he should workout [/exercise]. Chihiro is puzzled what he is saying about this workout. Soon, they are happily looking at the brochure together on where they want to go and eat. Chihiro thinks that even if she is nervous about the two of them going on a trip together but Sho looks very happy that she seems to start to anticipate the two of them going to all sorts of places to go sight-seeing. She even wanted to go earlier. In the bathtub, using LINE [internet messaging app] on her phone, Chihiro got a message from Rino who is surprised that Chihiro will be going on a trip with Sho. And then, have H? This made Chihiro blush and exclaims, H..! She thinks that even if Rino’s right, but it is embarrassing to mention it straightforward, and not only that, she [Chihiro] is anticipating the two of them going sightseeing. She wonders about having H with Sho and he said that he always think of it.. She starts banging the corner of the tub and curses over what to do. Rino messages her that Sho is unexpectedly a schemer. This puzzles Chihiro that she asks Rino about it. Rino replies ya, even if he made Chihiro choose, but if she says yes, then, she has no way out, right? Rino comments that she thinks that Sho is quite shrewd. Chihiro thinks that for Rino to say that then, the trip’s motive is only H..!?

In shock, she stands up from the tub and wonders could it be that Sho particularly..but that’s too lewd. She nervously asks Rino if she thinks so, that she was invited to the trip only to have H..? Rino replies, geez- first don’t talk about that, could it be that Sho doesn’t like her? Could it be that his motive is only her body? It is only she, Chihiro who is beside Sho would know about it~~~ Chihiro agrees, for the two of them were in a frenzy discussing about the trip. So..if it is only for the body.. body.. She stands up again from the tub and shouts, “Body--!! That..that’s right!! Last year, I was bitten by a mosquito *here by the left thigh* and then I’ve scratched it too much that it has become like a mole. Ack! Above my shoulder, there is a tiny small stain. Is this body type trashy? Or it isn’t trashy enough!? Chest.. isn’t it too small!? Is this okay for it to be like this? I can grab some flesh [/fat] at my belly. I must lose weight!! *jumps out the tub and looks at the mirror* It feels.. *nervous and aghast* that just by seeing at one unsatisfactory thing, everything looks really bad... During H, not only looking at one place, all of it will be seen...*recalls Sho saying that earlier on, he wants to do it with her* No *flustered* I don’t want to do it..!! Wait a minute, if I don’t agree, that will be bad, right. How many months are there before the trip? Only two months!? It isn’t enough. Losing weight and even treating the scar. Reconsidering the situation, two months isn’t enough. It is totally not enough. Ah- there is also a scar here. Darn~~ What is this one.” Outside the toilet, Yuuto tells her that she’s noisy to death and quickly get out of there already.

At the mall, Sho is asking Chihiro if she wants to go in that store or watch a movie. Chihiro is busy with her thoughts for she is thinking of postponing the trip but how is she going to tell him without ruining the mood. It isn’t like she doesn’t want H but how about, it is because it is cold in the winter so how about summer? “No..no..for me to say it, it seems that I’ll be teased that I wanted to do it outside.” Pulling her to him by the waist, Sho calls out to her and asks her if she is listening. Chihiro thinks that he’s so near and his hand is on her waist. He asks her if she is nervous. Chihiro laughs and says yes, it is because everything is new in this real date and that she is a bit nervous. She thinks that even if this is a bit..but..she cannot tell him the reason why she wants to postpone the trip. She exclaims in surprise when Sho presses her side. She finds it ticklish and it is the first time they walk like this because until now, he had always been holding her shoulder. Sho tells her to quickly look at him. She lets out a laugh upon seeing him wearing star-shaped sunglasses. She exclaims what that is. He asks isn’t it cool. She agrees. Pointing at a store, Sho tells her that there are more at that store. Then, Sho tries out a pair of flower-shaped sunglass. Chihiro laughs and says that it suits him. She is puzzled when he says that’s great. Then, he tells her that it seems that there are interesting things in that place so let’s go. Chihiro blushes and thinks that perhaps, Sho is helping her ease her nervousness. Then, Sho has a toy snake around his neck that Chihiro got scared of it. Then, they play a UFO catcher [/claw crane] machine. They happily eat some crepes.

Sho offers to buy some drinks so he asks what she wants. She thanks him and says that tea is fine. Chihiro thinks that the intense honest feeling of this date is gradually making her feel happy. “Perhaps, after the club activity, we should stroll around the streets a bit and eat some snacks, to have that after-school date feeling. There is no need to mention about delaying the trip today..” Sne smells something and wonders what that fragrant scent is. It is a perfume store. She looks at the many cute perfume bottles. Sho suddenly puts his arm around her and asks what she is looking at. Holding a bottle, Sho asks if it is a perfume she is fascinated with. Chihiro felt that Sho is touching her body a lot today. Holding a bottle, Sho says that he likes this one. Chihiro sniffs it and agrees that it is fragrant. He asks if she also likes this bottle. She says yes. Chihiro think that he said that he likes it and she wants to buy it but then, she feels embarrassed about buying it in front of him. To her surprise, Sho tells the saleslady to give him this bottle and there’s no need to wrap it. Chihiro thinks that Sho bought it and in the end, he really likes it, right. To her surprise, Sho gives it to her. He tells her that if is okay, use it. “I really like it if you use it, okay?” Looking at the small bottle with a fairy on its lid, Chihiro thinks that this is the fragrance that Sho likes and he even said ‘use it’. It felt that for him to say that, she belonged to Sho.

Just when Sho is telling her that they’ll go to the next place, Chihiro clings tightly on his arm. She thanks him and says that she’ll cherishingly use it. She starts to freak out for she is acting like a spoiled child and what to do, she doesn’t want to let go. After scratching his head, Sho admits that actually, he thought that she’ll refuse the trip for when he proposed it, he was quite apprehensive, but it’s great that she agreed. This made Chihiro decide that she must talk about the trip. She wanted to postpone it but then, how is she going to say it. For Sho to say that a while ago, it makes it harder for her to mention it. She wants Sho to also think that it is okay to delay the trip. Chihiro says that actually about that thing. “I.. I’m..actually very scared of ghosts [/monsters].” Sho goes huh? She starts telling him that in hotels and inn-type of places, doesn’t it make one think that something like that would appear there, so just by thinking of it, she felt very scared. Sparkling Sho tells her that it is okay, during the trip, there are many things to do so she won’t have any energy to care about those. Thinking that what he just said seem obscene, flustered Chihiro says that if it is nearby, someone might see them and the chances of bumping into someone is very high, right? She doesn’t want to bump into someone from school so like this, they can only go on a long distance trip. Ah~~it will cost money~~ To her shock, Sho tells her that it is okay, don’t worry, if her share isn’t enough, he’ll pay the rest. He tells her that those trip plans are actually from a travel company where his relative works, so he can get a lot of discounts.

Chihiro is at a loss for what other reasons can she use. Sho says that she is completely enthusiastic about this. Putting his arm around her, he says that for her to strive hard, it means that she is really anticipating this trip, so cute. Chihiro says no..wrong, though it isn’t exactly wrong. She wonders why from what she is saying just now, turned out like this, but then, it isn’t like she hates doing this. She overhears a boy telling his mother that he wants to buy this one. Chihiro says that’s right, there is her mother. She thinks that her parents would definitely not agree. While Sho thinks about this, Chihiro thinks that’s right, the biggest problem would be the parents for they will absolutely oppose for them to go to some trip. “Even if it is Hinase, this will be a bit troublesome.” To her surprise, Sho says that he’ll go and try asking auntie [/her mother] about it. Holding up his cellphone, he says that he’ll ask her now. Chihiro asks what, what is he saying, what is he thinking, stop.. Holding his arm, he says that they might not agree, what he is going to do. [<- probably because they might not allowed to go when Chihiro only wanted to postpone it.] Sho assures her that it is okay, he and auntie always chat on LINE and their relationship is quite good so he has confidence that he’ll get the OK. Chihiro is surprised by this and says that she cannot understand, he and her mother are chatting on LINE.

Looking at his cellphone, Sho says, ya. Chihiro wonders if he is lying but then, where did that confidence come from..why.. Then, she realizes that Souta was the one who did it and how come she doesn’t know everyone is keeping in touch. Sho tells her that it isn’t something bad so calm down. Just when she is saying how she can calm down, Sho suddenly pulls her to him and says that it is the Kagamido. The Kagamido brothers are shopping nearby. As they go to the opposite direction, Sho says that they’ll take the opportunity to go out. Chihiro says okay. Then, Sho is pulling her along. She asks where they are going, isn’t it already alright and those two probably won’t go here. Chihiro thinks that it feels that near here are... It is mostly hotels and lovers around. Chihiro feels very awkward and embarrassed. She wonders why he would go to this place. Then, Sho stops walking and looks at her. She becomes tense for could it be that he deliberately brought here. Then, she is startled when Sho points to a building and asks, “Want to go to the karaoke?” Inside the room, Chihiro is picking a song. She is embarrassed for thinking some strange thing for she thought that they are going to a hotel but then, it cannot be that fast. She thinks that ever since she decided to go to the trip, she is always conscious of it. She is embarrassed over that careless misunderstanding. Sho asks if she already inputted the song. She says that she did. Then patting on his leg, he tells her to quickly come over. Chihiro is shock for does he mean that she sit on his legs.

Sho smiles at her that she thinks that is his usual ‘trying/attempting’ face. She stands up and says then, she’ll sit down. She puts her weight down and sits on him. Sho mutters that she would be so arrogant to.. Chihiro says okay, she’s now going to sing. She thinks that it is very embarrassing in this position so she’ll just use the song to fool Sho. “Even if I don’t want to let Hinase hear me sing but in the end, it is a private room so if I don’t sing, this room would be a waste.” To her surprise, Sho starts to tickle her as punishment. She laughs and tells him to stop. He asks her if she isn’t ticklish on the armpits. She says no. He tells her that if she is able to endure it while singing, then he’ll treat her to her favorite food. Chihiro asks if that’s true. He says yes. He moves her hair aside then Chihiro looks surprised. He is using his finger to ‘write’ something on her back. She asks if he isn’t going to tickle. He tells her to guess this. He writes, ‘Let’s do it, okay’. She wonders if he meant do it here. He says, look, she didn’t sing. Then, he leans on her back and holds her chest. Chihiro groans and becomes embarrassed by it. Sho whispers that’s really cute. Covering his ears, embarrassed Chihiro tells him no, do not listen to that. He laughs and says that it is too late. He tells her that he wants to listen to it again. Poking the microphone on his cheek, Chihiro tells him not to be too pleased with himself.

She looks away and says that she really hates it and he’s quite strange today. “You obviously said that you’ll wait until the trip..” Sho says that even if he said that he’ll wait, he didn’t say that he won’t do anything until then. She looks at him then looks away. She tells him that she’ll have some strange awareness so she hopes that he would stop. He tells her that it is because he deliberately wants to make her aware. “I want to make you more aware of it. I also want you to know the me who is like this.” He is surprised to see her teary-eyed. He asks if she is angry. She says no, she obviously said that she cannot do it immediately..but she doesn’t hate it when he touches her like this so, to be touched by him like this. She obviously don’t have self-confidence but she felt that doing this is okay. It is like taking advantage or she should say, she’s afraid or she’s quite troublesome. He mutters her name and they kiss. Chihiro wonders what to do for obviously, she is still no good [/cannot do it]... The door opens and the waiter [who looks like BwSS’ Shitara] tells them that regarding that kind of thing, please do it across the street [where the hotels are], thank you. The couple looks surprised then looks at each other. They agree to go out then laugh. Chihiro thinks that wanting to be touched by Sho, wanting to be touched..want to know more. “What...would become of me afterwards?”

Comment: It is amusing how the mangaka can infuse comedy while a girl is about to have her first time. Well, a girl who obviously thinks too much. ^^; I guess Chihiro is confused since she doesn’t hate it but her nervousness, confidence, etc about it makes her hesitate on doing it. Actually for Sho to make poses like ‘Yes, I’ve scored’, can make a girl think that he has only that intention towards her. ^^; Well, it seems that he is really overeager about it. From the messages between Rino, it makes me think that Rino is indeed the more mature one regarding love life and people, to have seen through what Sho did. Though, as mentioned before, Rino tends to be good with other people’s relationships but not when it is hers. I’m curious though what her reaction would be regarding Touya if Chihiro told her about what happened. I’m amused with Chihiro’s over consciousness about her body. Trying to find excuses for not to go with the trip has revealed that Sho is in touch with her mother. I’m not sure every girl would want their boyfriend to be in touch with their mothers or vice-versa. ^^; Anyway, it goes to show that the mother approves of Sho. I guess it depends on what kind of mother Chihiro has in regards to would she allow it or not. Anyway, Sho is doing well in dealing with her. He manages to make her have a good time even if she is busy with her thoughts during their date. He bought her perfume which she’ll probably wear during the trip. And, it seems that he is making her aware and get used to physical contact. The guy is proactive. So far, he is quite smooth in making her do what he wants even if she isn’t exactly into it yet.
