In the street, Kawasumi meets up with Ryousuke who is followed by Mina. Ryousuke tearfully hugs Kawasumi. Suiren hangs up the phone and wants to see him. “And once again, I’m the only one who is waiting for the phone call.” As Kawasumi tries to get Ryousuke off him because of his dripping nose, Ryousuke says that he did it, he finally did it. Kawasumi asks about Atohira. Ryousuke tells him that it seems that he went to talk with the dojo head/owner. He asks if he wants to call but Kawasumi says that there’s no need. Recalling Atohira telling him that he won’t be going to Shuei High, Kawasumi thinks that at that time, he was truly shock for he wasn’t told anything but whether giving up or still continuing, it won’t change. Kawasumi says that he’ll treat Ryousuke with anything. Mina asks if it includes her. Ryousuke exclaims of course. Kawasumi thinks that Atohira is always the goal he chased after. So, Kawasumi walks with Ryousuke and Mina. Atohira is followed by Koharu from behind. And, Suiren is all alone in bed..looking at her cellphone. And, here we are, at Wakuwaku Paradise. Meguna tells Suiren’s friends that they’ll have fun together later on. Yuri asks them if they know about the legend about the Ferris Wheel. Meguna says yes, that after a girl sit together with one’s boyfriend, they would be very happy[/sweet]. “It is said that if lovers ride to the highest peak and kissed, they would become happy forever♡♡”
Overhearing that, Ryousuke exclaims that there’s such a legend. Yuri tells him to go sit together with his girlfriend. After a pause, Aya says disgusting. Meguna glances at Suiren’s friends then tells Suiren to do her best [gambatte] and she’ll help her. Suiren is thinking about this happy forever thing. She looks at the side and sees Kawasumi with his friends. To everyone’s surprise, Suiren suddenly goes to him and holds his wrist. Fanboys exclaims ha, what’s up with that. While they are all surprised, somewhat flustered Kawasumi grabs Suiren’s wrist and runs off with her. Yuri and Aya are surprised by this. Soon, furious fanboys are chasing after the two and shout for them to stop. As they keep on running, Suiren tells Kawasumi, Ferris Wheel. So, Kawasumi goes with her to the Ferris Wheel. Inside the carriage, the two catch their breath. Kawasumi looks down to see the angry fanboys who had chased after them. He asks Suiren if she’s okay. He tells her that the competition is over and he can walk her home on Wednesdays. He calls out her name since she isn’t answering. She stutters that it is not at all..want to depend on some..legend. Kawasumi is puzzled. Narration: “Right now, no matter what it is, I want to believe..” Suiren tells him about kissing at the highest peak of the Ferris Wheel, they would attain happiness forever. Blushing really red, Suiren looks at him and says, “.........want to kiss.....you.” Kawasumi looks surprised.
Comment: And let’s start singing, “Shalala..go on and kiss the girl..” =P So, we are now at the possible kissing stage of these two. Of course, it would be nicer that it is natural but then, they are hm..very slow that something has to push them to it. In this case, it is Suiren’s uneasiness that she is relying on this legend thing on hopes that they will be ‘happy forever’. Just like in the earlier chapters, Suiren is once again taking the initiative. She doesn’t talk much so, in a way, it is good that Kawasumi follow through by running off with her. I’m not too sure how Kawasumi is going to react though over the kiss or like, would he realize the reason behind that since well, Suiren isn’t saying much. And, since that request is a cliffhanger, I feel that I shouldn’t be expecting it in the next chapter but it will happen soon. And, I think that the fanboys won’t let him off for that – either the kiss if they knew, or running off with her. I do wonder why Kawasumi didn’t invite her to the competition. Maybe because he feels that she isn’t that interested? Since Suiren wondered if she’ll go or not, I think maybe it is about not wanting to see him get hurt like what happened before. In a way, it still boils down to Kawasumi doing what he thinks is best rather than getting Suiren’s opinion on it. He could have told her and it is up to her if she wants to go or not. Also, from that phone call, he also just said what he has to say and immediately hanged up. It doesn’t help that Suiren tend to keep any reactions and thoughts on such things to herself. So, I guess that is up for future relationship development on better interaction and communication between the two. It is one thing to have romantic feelings, but it is a different thing in making the relationship work due to their own personalities which are the ‘silent types’. Obviously, assumptions are no good as it is apparent here. Hehe, well, I’m hoping that is what the mangaka is aiming for as the ‘conflict’ during their second year high school which aside from making their relationship progress more, there will be character development. Actually, from some other married scenarios in josei/shoujo, it seems that communication is a common problem until someone has had enough of that and it leads to divorce because woman is lonely at home and man just kept himself busy at work. Hm..it seems that the mangaka is also drawing Suiren somewhat mature in some scenes here like how slightly older Kawasumi looks in the last chapter. Hehe, hints of the future on how they would look like, or because they are ‘growing’ now that they are in second year? Scans by all★wink汉化组
