Kedamono Kareshi [Chapter 25]

While Ryou is telling everyone to suggest what they’ll do for the cultural festival, Himari gets ready to write on the blackboard. She wouldn’t dare look behind her. And well, she did anyway, and sees Keita lying down on his desk. She thinks that since the opening ceremony, Keita totally doesn’t look at her. Ryou snaps her out of it when he tells her that it is over for today so they should go to the committee meeting together at the 4th floor. Himari says okay. Glaring Keita watches them. He hits the desk with his fist, kicks the desk, and slams the door after going out. The others wonder what’s up with Keita. Later on, Himari thinks that her relationship with Keita would become worse since she is a committee member with Ryou and from the start, she doesn’t want it to turn out like this. Himari tells her classmates to give to her the form whether they would be present or absent for the after night festival. A couple of guys are making excuses that they left the form and can she help them write it. The guys say that they have clubs to attend to, sorry, they are going ahead. Since Ryou isn’t around because he has something else to do, Himari can only helplessly tell them that today is the deadline. They are all startled when Keita slams his form on the table and darkly tells the other guys that if they don’t cooperate now, don’t complain later on. With that, Keita left. The other guys think that Keita is scary and in a bad mood lately. They apologize to Himari and hand over their forms. Thinking that they can be like before, Himari runs after Keita but he glares at her and asks what. She timidly thanks him and about the committee member thing.. Keita says that whatever his sister does with someone has nothing to do with him. He excuses himself since he got something to do. Himari is flustered over being called ‘sister’.
Soon, everyone is preparing for the cultural festival. Some girls ask Himari to help them get Keita’s body measurements because he is in a bad mood lately that it is quite hard to go near him. They say that Himari ought to be able to do it since she is his sister. Himari says that she also couldn’t..but the other girls insist that she go. Ryou offers to tell Keita. Ryou tells Keita that the girls are calling for him since they need his body measurements. Keita sees Himari by the door and glares at her which frightens the other girls. Keita stands up and starts to walk away that Ryou tries to call him to no avail. In the empty classroom, Ryou asks Himari if she had a falling out with Keita. This startles Himari and made her look flustered. Ryou says that it feels like they aren’t as intimate as before and lately, Keita is a bit cruel so is he one-sidedly bullying her again. Ryou laughs that Keita always doesn’t know when to stop. Flustered Himari shakes her head for it isn’t like that. Ryou tells her that no matter what it is, she can talk things over with him and they are also committee members. Thinking of Keita, Himari felt like crying. She suddenly stands up and says that she left something at the meeting room. Seeing her flustered-sad face, Ryou hugs her from behind. This surprises Himari. He asks if she likes Keita that much. This surprised Himari. She denies it and says that they are siblings, she and Keita. She nervously asks what’s up with him to do this, let her go.. Ryou wouldn’t. He asks if the confession before is still valid. This surprises Himari. He turns her around to face him and she is still surprised.
Comment: Someone is throwing a tantrum after not getting what he wanted. The other one is feeling guilty over her decision. Due to circumstances, she is with a person she really doesn’t want to be with since it will further make things difficult with her regarding that someone. Now, she must make a decision regarding that person – accept which can help her forget someone and strengthen her decision, or reject in order not to make things worse with someone, but then, she would be together with that person for some time due to the cultural festival. If this series is still popular in Japan and I’m the mangaka, I’ll choose accept in order to prolong the series. =P Scans by allwink

  2. Thank you, kat. I don't think she will respond at the moment but will certainly consider and perhaps accept. Keita don't help to improve the situation. Just worse. Yeah she'll acept for sure :X

  3. Thanks for the update!

Keita is going way off the deep end, but I doubt she would still be having second thoughts if he had accepted her decision peacefully. As someone who likes to avoid conflict, there is no way she accepts. She's far more worried about smoothing things out than she is about finding someone new. Though, I can see this switching from a shoujo to a seinen tragedy if she goes out with Ryou. Keita will kill everyone, muhahaha. Yeah, I know it won't happen. :-)

I'm not quite sure why I'm so into this manga. It's quite cliche and the characters aren't particularly likable, but for some reason I like it. (scratches head) -RC

    1. Thanks for reading, RC ^-^

      Lol...that would be amusing ^^

Is that so...I also think that way but I don't know why readers like it. ^^;; But, the cliffhangers are quite good to keep us reading it to know what would happen next.

I demand you... Accept him, Himari! Give Keita more torture until he's begging you to come back with him. Tehehehehe :p

  6. This may be cliche, but cliches are cliche for a reason--people LIKE THEM and THEY WORK so well! I think ppl like this cliche of the "forbidden love." Something irresistable about it! I cant seem to let it go, either. Wrong or not, I want the two who love each other to end up together and happy even if they have to keep it a dirty little secret and face many hardships. Although as a parent myself I would not marry the father of a teenage boy the same age as my daughter for fear of this situation. I wouldn't want my daughter to be put in this position. I would delay my own happiness n marry the man after she left home when it would no longer matter. Or at least I think it wouldn't by then?

    1. True, they work. In a way, a lot of stories have similarities but it changes depending on the characters and how it is done. ^^

Hehe, hopefully, not but then, what if they met elsewhere and already adults? Would that be okay?
