Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai [Chapter 27]

The other guys are shock over how Uesugi easily made them flying with his punch’s air pressure. Watching with his buddies, Mogami comments that he’s so strong and he’s the same with Aoi, or more amazing.. “Who the heck is that guy!?” Meanwhile, at the Kobayashi residence, Aoi sits uneasily as he observes the room. He thinks that it is truly amazing for the room is surrounded with Masamune stuff. Mego groans and wakes up. Aoi looks tense over how seductive she looks. After adjusting her eyes, she crawls to Aoi. She looks from puzzled to determined-flustered that Aoi thinks that she looks childish upon waking up. Mego happily smiles and says that it turns out that she’s dreaming. “Hihi For how is it possible for Aoi-kun to be in my room~” Aoi timidly tries to tell her that it isn’t a dream when he notices that Mego is staring at him. Blushing Mego says, “I like Aoi-kun’s beautiful eye the most but I’m always shy to look directly at Aoi-kun and my heart would beat wildly. There wasn’t a moment when I can properly gaze at Aoi-kun. *blush-blush* Actually, I really wish that I can always, always look at Aoi-kun. *Aoi slightly blush and sweatdrop* But, since this is a dream, there’s no need for Aoi-kun to know and I just let myself to look [at him] as much as I want. Right.” Tense Aoi blushes as Mego keeps on staring at him. Aoi looks away and wonders what to do and what’s up with this difficult situation. Mego thinks that she feels that today’s Aoi-kun is super cute.. She cutely says, “Aoi-kun..let’s have a kiss, okay?” Surprised Aoi says huh. Mego sleepily crawls closer to him and thinks, “Hihi if this is a dream, then we can touch, right.” While Aoi tells her to wait a minute, Mego asks, “Isn’t it okay?” Since he couldn’t refuse, blushing Aoi closes his eyes so Mego leans to touch him[/his face to kiss him].. And, all of a sudden, Mitsuru opens the door and exclaims, “Sorry for the wait, senpai!! I’ve brought some tea! *sees blushing Aoi with closed eyes and Mego looking at Mitsuru* ..hm..ah.. you’re awake, Mego.” After a pause, Mego is now wide awake. She realizes that this isn’t a dream.

Then, she notices that Aoi has seen her random drawings of lovey-dovey scenes between them. Embarrassed Mego lets out a scream. Crying, angry Mego shouts that Mitsuru is quite mean for how come he didn’t wake her up and made Aoi totally see that strange act. Mitsuru says that it is her fault for sleeping as if she’s dead. Mego screams that he’s an idiot. Mitsuru angrily shouts that she would unexpectedly call him an idiot when he specially brought Aoi home for her. While watching them, Aoi recalls Mego trying to kiss him. He thinks, “For a second there, I unexpectedly thought that it is okay even if I lost consciousness that way.” He watches the twins’ continue with their quarrel. Mitsuru calls Mego a silly pig. Mego shouts back that he is also one since they are twins. Aoi smiles when the twins are angrily pinching each other’s cheeks. Later on, Mego is embarrassed since obviously this is the first time Aoi is in her house and it is horrible that he has totally seen that humiliating act. To her shock, laughing Mitsuru shows to Aoi again Mego’s interesting drawing wherein the face is drawn okay but the rest of the body is really awful. “What kind of drawing ability is that, for it to come out imbalance like this. Come and say something about it, Sa-chan.” Aoi looks tense. Embarrassed Mego immediately kicks her brother and shouts for him to stop, don’t show it to Aoi-kun, stupid Mitsuru. Holding the sketchbook, Aoi asks if she wants to be a mangaka. Thinking that he’ll react badly, aghast Mego apologizes for it is because her friends praised her drawing that she got carried away. Aoi says no, no, he finds it very interesting. “Even if I’m quite ignorant about drawing but I think that the expression of your drawing is very amazing. But, didn’t you draw me a bit too beautiful?” Mego thinks that for him to praise her like that, she feels that she can do anything. Soon, the twin’s mother arrives and apologizes to the twins for coming home late from [grocery] shopping. “I’m going to prepare dinner now..”

She stops upon noticing their guest. Realizing that she is the mother, Aoi timidly greets her. The twins’ mother has sparkles in her eyes and shouts that it is the real life edition of Masamune-sama..♡ “Who is he, who is he? Could it be that he’s that ‘Mego’s boyfriend’, Sanada-kun!? *Mego blushes* He’s really a handsome guy♡ Even if he still cannot compare to papa♡ [<-her husband]” Mitsuru apologizes to Aoi for his mother’s ancestor seems to be a vassal[/retainer] of Date’s clan so both mother and daughter are zealous fans of Masamune. Then, to Mego’s embarrassment, the mother is showing their photo albums to Aoi. There is a picture of Mitsuru holding the hand of crying Mego. Mego angrily tells her mother to wait, don’t totally show to Aoi those strange pictures. Somewhat laughing, Mitsuru tells Aoi isn’t that a crappy picture and it was taken when Mego got lost at Sendai’s Tanabata[/star] festival. Aoi is puzzled over this. While showing him more pictures of Sendai [where Date Masamune is from], Mego explains that when they were young, the whole family usually goes there every August when the festival is held and it is something that is always held since the era of Masamune-sama. Looking at the colorful streamers, Aoi says that it is beautiful. Mego happily says, “My papa is a self-defense [military] official, who stayed with the self-defense troops before, when stationed at the northeast prefecture. *Aoi is surprised that their father is a self-defense official* Afterwards, he had a chance encounter with mama at Sendai. I heard that he proposed to her during the Tanabata festival♡ I and Mitsuru are born in Sendai so I really like that significantly extraordinary place.” Mego thinks that ever since before when she always heard about the Tanabata [marriage] proposal, she generally has a childish innocent yearning that when she grows up to an adult, she is going go to Sendai together with her most precious lover. “Together with the person I like the most, looking up the Tanabata night sky together--..” Aoi observes Mego’s happy expression.

At the gate, Mego wishes Aoi good luck with his job. Aoi says okay, and thanks. After a pause, Aoi tells her, “Kobayashi, it would be great if there is a day when we can go together to Sendai’s Tanabata festival. Just like your parents. *Blushing Mego is surprised* From the photos, I saw that it is a very beautiful place. The place where you were born. The place you like. I also want to see it together with you.” Blushing Mego asks if it is really okay for she’ll sincerely start to anticipate it. “Then.. *teary-eyed and holds up her pinkie finger* Let’s have a pinkie promise..!!” Mego thinks that ever since she was young, she always yearns to go together with the person she likes the most to the place where she likes the most. As they do a 30cm diameter distance pinkie promise, Aoi says yes. Mego happily says that it’s a promise. In her bedroom, Mego feels her pinkie finger is a bit ticklish. While continuing to draw, Mego thinks that even if she was quite startled today, but she’s still quite happy♡ Recalling Aoi’s praise, Mego decides to try her best in continuing to draw. She giggles as she draws the two of them in the Tanabata festival with fireworks and streamers. “Later on, we’re going to Sendai together, Aoi-kun♡” Narration: “Even if it is only a tiny bit of promise, but one day, it will become a reality. That is what the Mego of that time had firmly believed.” From an art supply store, Mego had bought some sketchbooks. Happily walking in the streets with her new purchase, Mego is glad that this store is quite cheap that there is a 20% discount so she bought three sketchbooks. She happily thinks that the more she practice, the more her drawing would become better♡ And, she passes by Uesugi. Narration: “That day, I have not realized that I have already met the ‘him’ who knows Aoi-kun’s secret. And, our miraculous love would sink into a vortex. A truly shocking imminent encounter.” Blurb: “The series goes on a break in the next issue [so it will probably resume on the 23rd issue of Shocomi which will be released on November 5 in Japan]. From the start of Mego’s encounter of the new character, the story will set off to a raging-waters [critical]-type of development!!”

Comment: And, that is probably the set-up for the ‘calm before the storm’. It seems like that promise isn’t going to be fulfilled soon but then, it is still far off because currently, it is spring. The encounter turns out to be just passing by unless that last scene is continued to the next chapter but seems unlikely since they don’t know each other yet. Actually, it is possible like Mego tripping and the guy helps her then they get to know each other. =P It does make me wonder what Uesugi knows or if Aoi’s secret is ‘earth-shaking’ enough to be an obstacle for their relationship especially since Mego seems to be the type who’ll love Aoi no matter what. Well, the house visit is quite cute, romantic and funny. Aoi is such a timid type to let Mego do with him whoever she pleases without much fuss :P Too bad Mitsuru interrupted the almost kiss. And, Aoi being in love with Mego isn’t embarrassed at all about those things which her twin and mother exposed about her. ^^ Instead, Mego got an encouragement for her drawing and a promise to go to the Tanabata Festival with him.
