This chapter can actually be an introduction or chapter 1 of a totally different shoujo manga. ^^; It will go like this, main character looks exhausted as she returns to her workplace. The lady boss asks how come she took a while to do the errand. Was the grocery too far away? Main character says no but actually, it’s this...
Then, LB freaks out when something came out of MC’s clothes. It is a fat cat which literally got attached to MC and won’t let her off. As MC puts away the things she bought, she wondered out loud if the cat wants something from her like finding its owner. While the two girls talk about the cat, the cat explores the new place. And, they had a bit of trouble removing an empty plastic bag of s’mores that it is biting into.

Soon, the girls were forced to bring the cat to the company’s tour. There is bit of talk about LB’s preferred type of movies. While they are touring the place, the cat suddenly ran off. MC chases after the cat and meets with a handsome guy, the ML.
So ya, that’s the intro on how the MC met the ML and how the cat got them together. Well, of course, in this series, ML is the antagonist so he has zero chance with the MC. ^^; Since Kyouko is wearing her uniform and is with that cat, I wonder what Cedric’s reaction will be. This can make or break their future interactions. I think things would be a bit awkward and difficult for Ren later on if the two’s interaction/first impressions would be on the positive side.

On the side note, Cedric seems to be there with an older guy and a little girl. Are they Maria and Uncle Tiger? If so, I think Maria would introduce them. Oh, perhaps, that cat belongs to Uncle Tiger and it is a ‘talent detector’. Hehe
There is also a mention of Cedric friends talking about some vampire cult victimizing people on the news. Since it is vampires, I guess it involves losing blood. I wonder why that is inserted in the story. Introduction for Beagle? Well, if there are ‘fairies’ in this series, why not ‘vampires’? ^^;

DeleteSome people seem to be working independently for translation and I have seen this chapter. I think it's possible what you say about the cat is talent detector (for whatever reason) cause almost 50% of scene time has it here. So is Tiger the D person? I got impression he is, but I'm not completely sure. Also I miss that last page details cause I just skim over it in a flash because of Cedric lol (I don't feel I have energy to have another guy in Kyouko Ren relationship, even though I know he's likely to be antagonistic person).

We'll have to wait and see about Cedric. He would definitely be the antagonist but the level, we'll know soon enough if he improved, same or got worse since that time during Kuon's US showbiz stint.
it looks like Cedric is going to be a different type than Fuwa or Beagle. Kyouko remarked how he showed little interest (both in her uniform and her Japanese root) which can be misleading (maybe dude is in anti social mode or whatever during the convo). But she usually get her intuition correct. But with no real kind of hostility shown, we still not know to how much hostile he can be, sure he may have conflict with Kuon in the past, but under what circumstances. I doubt he will be the kind of total a** during this coop project, but we will see. This is also somehow makes it weird, if Kimiko is in some way related to him, as to what kind of relationship they would have if any.
DeleteThankfully though since things would be 'prolonged' if he is another admirer. I would think that he is more on 'look down/you do not exist' if the other person is a nobody especially if it is a private meeting. Since everyone is going gaga over him being a 'prince', I would think that they have a positive view of him so he most likely don't act like that in public.
DeleteTrue. I tend to think he do things back-handed. That is my impression like he can act victim to frame others as the 'bad guy' which is what I think he did with Kuon. Iirc, that is why Cedric's mother[?] was it lashing out on Kuon with Cedric looking happy...lol, if I remember correctly about that childhood scene. And ya, that beating of Kuon in some alley seems along that kind of 'modus' of his.
If any, I would assume that it is a one-sided type love of Kimiko for Prince. If not, perhaps, it is some sort of 'birds of the same feather flock together' in terms on how they deal with their rivals ^^;
