 Yashiro informs Ren that Lory knew who his real partner is. Since Ren is acting all clueless and perhaps, someone might hear them, Yashiro decided to interrogate him somewhere else = smoking room that isn’t being used. Inside the room, Ren clarifies that he isn’t puzzled with Lory knowing but more on how did Yashiro knows that Lory knew.

Yashiro denies talking with Lory about this but rather, he just deduced it from what Ren mentioned regarding Lory’s reaction to the Kana dating scandal. It turns out that Ren was assuming the Lory was amused about him getting into such a scandal. For Yashiro, it was because how it ended up like that when Lory knew what is going on between Ren and Kyouko earlier on.

Lory is now imagining things about the couple being mutually in love being in a ‘training camp’ but was disappointed that Ren isn’t using this opportunity. Ren can only think that they are not officially a couple. Then, Yashiro asked for the true status of their relationship so that he’ll know how to deal with things if something happens in the future. Ren obliges.

Since there is a mention of possible future incident, I think there will be an incident. It is nice of Ren to be willing to confide though because technically, is it like his private life. How much should the manager know about the private lives of their clients?

Since I’m reading more into Korean entertainment, usually, how they deal with this is making the company say wait for us as we clarify/ask about it since it is the private life of so-so. In our country, it is more on the actors themselves confirming or denying it. It’s awkward though since I heard at times, one confirms and the other denies. Or both denies then say it’s over while still denying it to death. ^^;

The next part is more on Ren getting frustrated that he still has to call Kyouko ‘Mogami-san’ while everyone else is going by ‘Kyouko-chan’. It started with Koga discussing with Kyouko on how to call her which was originally ‘strip Tsu(raga] Kyouko’ [<-literal; probably like hate Ren] which seemed rude but a fact from Koga’s pov.

After Kyouko is happy over being called ‘Kyouko-chan’, she noticed Ren is watching them. It led to a 11:15pm discussion about why Ren is still calling her ‘Mogami-san’ when everyone else even Koga has upgraded to ‘closer’ status with ‘-chan’. This made Kyouko ask how come he didn’t switch like the others did.

It turns out that Ren couldn’t because of what happened in Guam when he was Corn. He is cautious since it might trigger some negative reaction from Kyouko if he suddenly called her that way. Kyouko assured him that it is fine. But to his dismay, when he called her, Kyouko-chan [in katakana], she immediately had a ‘cringing’ negative reaction.

Ren is puzzled when Kyouko suddenly demands to know if he is calling her name ‘Kyouko’ in kanji or katakana. Both actually sound the same but she uses the kanji for her actress name and katakana is her real name when it is written. Ren lied but Kyouko seems to know as she starts to lecture him to use her kanji stage name.

Ren confronts her to ask if she doesn’t want him to call her by her real name. To his gloom, she admits that it is so. She explained that it is because she couldn’t control her ‘in love/blushing’ facial reaction if he calls her by her real name. She says that she can still control herself a bit if she assumes he calls her by her stage name.

Ren recalls she had a similar reaction before in Guam. Ren is happy with this real reason regarding her reaction so he decides to do as she wishes. He thinks that it is better this way especially with Koga whom Kyouko is in good terms now upon knowing that she isn’t into Ren.

Ren tells her that he will continue to call her Mogami-san during this project. If they become co-stars in another project, they might need to change that since it will be odd if he still calls her ‘Mogami-san’. So that it would be more natural later on, he’ll call her by her stage name in private for her to get used to it. So, they practiced. He called her by her stage name. Unfortunately, she made a ‘trying to stop oneself from blushing’ facial reaction.

And yes, Kyouko is still a long way before she can stop herself from showing her real reaction just from Ren’s calling her name whether in kanji or katakana. Well, it is basically the same. I guess this is more of a cultural thing wherein it signifies one’s status of relationship just based on how one calls the other person’s name.

Well, at least, that cleared up one of Kyouko’s mysteries for Ren. He won’t have any funny ideas as to why she prefers him calling her by Mogami-san. But then, things aren’t going smoothly yet since she has trouble controlling her emotion/facial reaction if he wants to call her ‘Kyouko-chan’. I’m not sure if it is a big deal but for the sake of keeping things between them a secret, it would be better to stick with Mogami-san. I think it is more on Ren’s side about being jealous that others can call her by that name and he couldn’t.
