Free Talk: Kono Oto Tomare 103

Apparently, Uzuki is indeed the obsessive-possessive type friend who cannot move on that is common in twisted stalker-type thriller stories. The type who would do anything and everything for the other party to become theirs and theirs only.

And, given his background, it is understandable. So, not only the father has a lover, the mother also has one, too. Wow, Uzuki even knows how to hire a detective to know about the secret family. And, I guess the detective didn’t know who hired him for confidentiality?

Hm...why didn’t he do that with Chika? Unless, he thought that Chika would come back to him voluntarily. And, realized that it isn’t going to happen since Chika has found a place where he can belong, a place where the people there accepts him together with his past, after seeing him on TV.

I think that because Natsu is aloof-type who doesn’t want to get involve, Uzuki didn’t really have a bond with him which he later found in Chika. I think it is like, Chika is the only one in his world who actually cared for him. And, perhaps, he has gotten curious with Chika who is helping others even if he doesn’t have any direct benefit.

Since both his parents have their own secret family to love/belong to, Uzuki has lost his sense of belonging. The legitimate child felt like he was the illegitimate or perhaps, like an orphan. I guess it is a conflict of feelings. He wanted to destroy everything since it is all a farce yet, if he did, where would he ‘belong’? Doesn’t it seem like neither parents want him/care about him?

Hm...so the parents are still married even if they have their own secret families? Is there a reason for that? Maybe, protecting their reputation for apperances? Like, why didn’t the ‘other partner’ ask them to divorce the spouse? Perhaps, they actually thought that Uzuki didn’t know anything and they are keeping it up for his sake?

It is interesting to know though that it was actually Chika who got Uzuki into becoming a delinquent. I thought it was the other way around. And, I guess as an insurance that Chika would never ever leave him since he is now part of the ‘delinquent club’, he videotaped Chika beating up some guys. That is really planning ahead. Or, maybe he planned to use it before when he felt that Chika is going to leave him for gramps.

Social media comments are expected especially if they are just basing things on that video. That part of Satowa watching the video together with Chika is nice. It was like before when Chika listened to her dreaded koto performance with her before.

I’m not too sure about the impact of the video. I mean, given the scenes before wherein Chika only beats up people in defense of others. Isn’t it possible for the victims to say that Chika was only protecting them? I think a lot of people can already vouch for his true character. In a way, just like with grandma Doujima before. They can twist things/propaganda that because of koto, a delinquent has changed his ways. After all, wasn’t Chika supposed to be younger in that video?

What Suzuka said is good advice but then, it is hard to ignore at times. I think it has already affected Chika since he read some of the comments and he has seen the looks that some students gave him when he came to school. It isn’t like one can just forget all about it.

And things aren’t looking good. Based on ‘going into his bad habit’ comment by Tetsuki and Chika pretending to be fine when asked by his aunt, Chika would most likely think that cutting ties is the best for everyone. It seems that he is planning to quit the club.

Though, I’m not sure he’ll go back to Uzuki afterwards. It seems that Uzuki is betting on destroying everything where Chika can belong to so that he’ll come back to him. Hm...since media is involved, I wonder if they’ll try to research on his father/family.

Anyway, I hope the author doesn’t just give Uzuki a light slap on the wrist for all of the things he had done to Chika. Ah, but then, given his background and personality, perhaps, Uzuki didn’t know what he is doing is wrong. Still, I hope that isn’t the excuse for him to get away from it all.
