From the opening narration, it seems whatever Kyouko emailed had brought about a huge event. I even wracked my brains wondering if it is something she wrote before they went to the amusement park. ^^;
Well, it turns out that...for now, it led to the big reveal that Ren knew Sarah. As to what is their relation, it is still unknown. But, if we are to base it on people we know so far as to who might Ren know from the US, it is most likely his mother.

Well, we can more or less establish the fact that Sara is interested in/curious of Kyouko that she unintentionally revealed that she understands Japanese. Since it is kind of meant to deceive even if Sara says that there is no malice to it, it does seem like a plot to specifically meet with the two girls.
It is like two birds in one stone. One is to get to know Kyouko more and the other is to help Kanae with her English. About Sarah's expression after Kyouko sending the pictures, I wonder if she realizes that she blew her cover especially since she can guess whom Kyouko sent the pictures to.

Ah, Kyouko can no longer hide her true feeling when confronted about liking someone especially if it is a sudden question. It can indeed be problematic if say Sarah is an antagonist and would use that knowledge against Kyouko like what Kimiko did. Well, it seems Sarah is wishing that things will go well with Kyouko and the guy she likes.
Well, most likely, we'll know who Sara is in the next chapter. Hehe, I suddenly wondered if Ren is shocked because he knows who Sara is and/or because she is doing a cheerful cutie action. Was that heart directed at Ren whom she assumed Kyouko will send the picture to?
And, is that Sarah's true personality? If she's the mother, then both parents are happy cheerful types, a contrast with Ren though that is most likely due to his painful experience. That is aside from their love of food. Haha, since she also had a copy of the picture, she might send it to her husband ^^

ReplyDeleteI am wondering why sensei is introducing so many new people that we have known only in name all at once. I know that she is leading everything to a move to US but where I am confused is if she wants to also send Kyoko or not. I think Lori thinks it is too early for her and I agree with him, I think Kyoko has much more room to grow in Japan before moving to US but maybe it is about time for Ren to go. I just hope that sensei is not rushed again to finish the story like Tokyo Crazy Paradise.

About TCP, I heard that it was rushed because the publisher told her to end it = it got cancelled.

I saw the raws for next chapter, with how Lori looked it is more likely Ren's mom. I do think she is going to use time skip to get Kyoko to become a top actress.

On another note, did you get Hana to Yume with the voice cards for Skip Beat? I thin it is still popular enough that the publishers want to keep it going for a few more years.

DeleteAh, yes, most likely due to the covid restrictions. I'm sure she would have fixed them. Though, usually, if there's a lot of fixing, an author would take a break from the usual release. <- observation from other authors.
Voice cards? Drama cd? Haha, actually, given the pacing of the series, it is a win-win for them. It isn't exactly going to be prolonged for the sake of it. ^^;
yes they sold them with the chapter last month I think. I did not buy it since I don't buy the magazine online (I have a hard time navigating the website in Japanese with google translate), but people who bought the manga said you could listen to the chapters and apparently now you can download them.

DeleteWell now we know that Sarah is indeed Ren’s mother and she is probably here because she could no longer wait and wanted to see Ren and check Kyouko whom she heard so much about. I think when she learned about Kanae going to the U.S she probably jumped on the occasion to get to meet the girls.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like she has similar taste based on what Ren said to Yashiro in the newest chapter and I’m happy for Kyouko cause her future mother in law shares her unique taste and I can see the two become close real quickly and I’m sure Sarah will be grateful for Kyouko pulling Ren out of that dark place and she will approve of her being into her son life since she is a great influence and Kuu already likes her.
I wonder if somehow we will end up with a scene where Shou’s mother, Sarah and Kyouko end up going to dinner since Shou’s mother is supposed to come to Tokyo. Either way I’m looking froward to Kyouko introducing Sarah to Ren, and the meeting between Ren and Sarah it will be comical and really touching. I’m happy that Kyouko got a mother in law who will end appreciating her unlike her birth mother.
But, this chapter raises yet again the problem of Kyouko no longer being able to hide her true feelings. We have seen Kimiko use that against her and I think if Cedric or Kimiko again or maybe the press might end up using that against her and she would end up in a new mess. I hope at least Yashiro gives her the talk as the super manager that he is,that she can trust anyone in Showbiz that she needs to be careful about hiding her feelings or risk having them used against her. If the press knew about her and ren her career would be over, since to the public she isn’t good enough for him and without fans she can’t have a career. Anyway, someone should tell her to be extra careful cause Kyouko has stopped being careful.
It seems like even Lorry wasn’t aware of Ren’ mother coming, I wonder how that will turn out ? But seeing Ren’s mother coming to Japan, Cedric (who I think is the bully) Tina, makes me feel like the story is reaching it’s climax.
I'm thinking that it is both, Yamato...all of the above. She might be involved in that Route project.

Yup, I think so, too. Of course, reaching the climax can take years in our time. It is mostly 20 and under pages chapters lately...ah, the past year, right?
