Okay, so a couple of things:
1) There is no way this doesn't have consequences. Significant ones. If Nakamura-sensei doesn't cover the obvious and necessary consequences of that chase through, where are they, TMB? then I will never forgive her. But she's smarter than that. Tsuruga Ren, who has never had a scandal about him before and is the sexiest man in showbiz and NOW HAS A SCANDAL ABOUT HIM was JUST SEEN CHASING A DIFFERENT WOMAN THROUGH A TV STATION YELLING FOR HER TO STOP RUNNING AWAY. Did you see all the people he passed in the hall? The women on the stairs? There are LOTS of witnesses. This is a big deal. He's supposed to be kind of laying low until this thing with Kana-san blows over, and he just got a lot of attention to odd behavior instead.
2) I'm fairly certain that Nakamura-sensei is not going to give us what we really want. Ren will probably explain the situation with Kana-san, but Kyouko already knows all about it so that won't really help. She still ran from him, right? Ren will think he's solved the problem, but he won't have. Kyouko will not have any revelation that she is actually the high school girl Ren is in love with. It would be too out of the blue for her to suddenly understand. I see this conversation basically covering what Ren already told her when she was Bo, and Ren telling Kyouko that it is important to him that she not misunderstand because she's an important person to him. Kyouko will then feel sad that she's not as important as Morizumi and have a reaction Ren won't understand and will be hurt by, and Kyouko will be happy to know she's important but sad because she will still believe Ren is in love with someone else.
3) I really want him to lose his cool when she doesn't seem to get it and kiss her, but I don't think he will and if he did it would cause horrible problems where Kyouko would find a way to avoid running into him even by accident and that's not the way I want the series to go. The best I can hope for is that he gets close to kissing her, but doesn't, and she's able to explain it away to herself for the time being, but will later realize he was trying to kiss her and that he's in love with her. In, like, another hundred chapters.
That's my take. Phew. Funny, awesome, slightly disappointing chapter. Loving him cornering her in the elevator, and the expression on his face when he pries open the doors! Not convinced that anything significant will happen next chapter, though, hence the disappointment.
I can't wait to see translations of what they say to each other and what they're thinking. <3

From what I understand from the partial Chinese translation, she ran away because she thought Ren is going to tell her about confessing to Kimiko. And she thought that he should be telling that to Yashiro. Then, Kyouko wonders what's so urgent that he has to tell her something since it is different from yesterday. And, it isn't about Kana since they aren't in that relationship. So, what's up. And just when she thought she can go outside the building through the parking lot....hehe, he caught her.
The direction seems to be....you know...taking Bou's advice. Also, I get the impression that he feels that he has to clear things up before he loses her to Shou. Haha, I'm being optimistic ^^'
Hm...I don't think a forceful kiss will do it especially after Ren's lecture before. It has to be in a way wherein Ren can get away with it...like when he was Kuon or she isn't in 'high alert'. But then, speaking of that, I wonder if she'll scream and everything being corned like that when the elevator opens just like how she groveled in forgiveness before near the elevator.

So I've seen the translation now and I have a question. What do you think the chapter title "Ambush: Sneaking onto Noah's Ark" means? What would be the significance (to the Japanese) of Noah's Ark? I'm intrigued.
I would assume that it would have a Christian meaning to it. After all, for me, she is the only shoujo mangaka who would mention about Christmas being the birthday of someone = Jesus Christ in contrast to the others. Christmas = holiday for lovers and family.
Noah's Ark = object used for the salvation from the flood. A pretty optimistic meaning, isn't it? Or, something like forced to do [build and ride the ark] to prevent an impending danger [flood]?
What I'm confused though is what's a blind alley plan? π
I think the blind alley plan has to do with putting yourself in a place where there's only one way out by telling someone that you're in love with somebody else so you have to do something about it because now somebody knows (and will pester you). That's my guess.
The previous chapters had storm titles, so sneaking onto the Ark to survive an enormous storm sounds right. I'm just not sure what "sneaking" is a reference to. Here's a guess: Ren is going to do something that will not obviously save him from the storm which is making landfall, but it will actually eventually save him. It will become clear later when the storm has subsided a bit. Maybe.
Oh, I'm so nervous about hoping for anything really significant!
I'm re-reading earlier chapters, and she's be laying hints for a while to set up for something, so I know there's a lot more story coming. Here's what I'm putting together.
* Uncle Tora from the Thank You party is also Mr. D. * Mr. D is Amamiya-san's "master" and he is looking for the mythical butterfly, or fairy, with perfectly translucent wings, the actor who can become any role. * Mr. D is related to the actor Morizumi is in love with, Cedric somebody. * Mr. D is also (this is a bit of a guess, but there's evidence) Kuon's grandfather. (He was talking to Lory about the pain of not being called grandpa on the phone earlier.) * Kanae is now heading to the US. * Kuu and Juli are hoping that Kyoko will come visit them. Kuu told her a child doesn't need permission to come visit its parents, and Juli said she wanted to meet her. * Ren needs to become more successful than his father in Japan and go to the US under his own power. That's been his goal all along. * When Kuu went to the US he had a funeral for his stage name and reassumed his real name.
I think this all adds up and is interconnected somehow. Ren and Cedric are related. Probably cousins. Kanae is going to the US where Kyoko has an open invitation. Amamiya is a disciple of Mr. D and knows he's looking for the translucent butterfly/miracle actor, which she believes is Kyoko. Kyoko believes that Ren is in love with Morizumi who is really in love with Cedric.

I also think that it will not be confession. After all, Kyoko is still not ready and think she is not up to par with Ren.
