While Louis lays on the bed, a woman holds
his face and says that lately, he had become quite thin and he also has
something on his face. “An injury? Did you encounter something?” Louis smiles
and asks if she is worried about him. “I’m so happy~”
The woman asks if he is acting stupid. “Do
not be mistaken that I’ll unexpectedly be seriously worried about you. What I’m
worried about is whether or not you’ll return the money that you owe me! 30%
interest per month. If this keeps up, in the end, you won’t be able to pay even
the principal, right? *points her fan on his forehead* You can pay off your
debt along with interest, right?”
She is Olivia GoldenHeart, the chairman of
the Livi Chamber of Commerce. Standing behind her is a pair of dark skinned
twins who waits on her. Louis nervously says, geez, so it turns out that she’s
worried...
Pushing her away from the bed, he tells her
that they first go and talk outside. “If we are too noisy and disturb the
neighbor, I might be driven away from this hotel!” Olivia pushes him down on
the bed and says that it is alright. “I have already bought this hotel.”
Narration: “This lady is a Adelheit’s
famous great merchant. A famous party [/society]’s talented girl and also a
famous genius of the business world.” Olivia says that luckily he was able to
hide in this place! “It is really unexpected.”
Looking at her, Louis thinks that she is
also his family’s creditor. Olivia exclaims why he is always staring at her
face. Louis says that it is because her face is extremely beautiful... Blushing
Olivia hits him with her fan and exclaims how can a face full of freckles be
good looking!? Louis says no, he thinks that she is charismatic.
Blushing Olivia starts to hit him and shout,
shut up and don’t keep on starting at her face! “When do you plan on paying me
the money you owe? For today, you’ll delay it to tomorrow. For tomorrow, until
the day after tomorrow. My patience is almost gone already.”
Louis apologizes. He opens up his shirt and
suggests that she uses his body as substitute. She buttons up his shirt and
says sorry, but she had already played enough with his body. Louis shouts, how
mean!
Holding up his chin with her fan, Olivia
tells him that he ought to know clearly that the last deadline is just a few
days from now. “If you still weren’t able to settle up the interest, I’m going
to put you in that special fetish [/addiction] auction and be sold over and
over again.”
Louis looks aghast as he imagines himself
to be in a sort of sex sadist show for perverts. Louis tells her that he’ll
return the money so please give him a bit more time. Olivia asks how he is
going to pay. “Are you fooling around again with some wealthy woman’s money?”
Sparkling Louis tells her to listen
carefully because right now, he has a royal job. Olivia looks at him seriously.
Louis says that after he finishes this commission, not only will he be able to pay
the interest and money he owes her, there will still be a huge pile left...
Olivia quickly stands up.
As the twins help put her scarf on her,
Olivia says, “...Hey, Louis, I’ll give you a piece of advice. Absolutely do not
get involved in things that you shouldn’t be involved in. You absolutely aren’t
that strong as you imagined.” With that, she slams the door and left. Louis is
stunned. Then, he becomes angry. He thought, bastard, at least lower the
interest for a little bit...!
Dark clouds loom over the palace. In a
room, Eyde is doing some vocalization. Louis tells her that it’s wrong, it
should be from the diaphragm [/pubic region].
While Eyde continues to work on it, Louis
thinks that for him to be able to pay that loan, he’ll sleep with anyone and
even if it is the queen, he’ll do it. “In this kind of situation, what should I
do to improve the mood? No, wrong...” Louis shouts that’s wrong, she should use
force and take the air from the diaphragm and spit it out.
Eyde screams in frustration and asks why
she has to always repeatedly do this nonsense thing. Louis tells her that in
tomorrow’s banquet, there might be diplomats! “You’ll be look down in contempt
if your voice is so small! It is the best opportunity for Your Majesty to look
for an ally in tomorrow’s banquet! It is necessary to have an outstanding
voice!” Frowning Eyde says is that so, then it cannot be helped.
She asks how come they are doing this
practice in her bedroom. Louis exclaims of course, it is because of her ankle
sprain. “Originally, we should be practicing dancing the waltz but now, it
cannot be done because of the sprain. What else is sadder than the star of the
banquet who cannot dance the waltz?”
Eyde asks if she should dance when she is
obviously the queen. Louis tells her that has the queen who is the star of the
banquet must take the lead in dancing to increase the mood of the banquet as
well as show the ruler’s temperament. “of course, that is if one didn’t injure
one’s ankle!” This made Eyde scowl.
Louis gives her a paper with names on it.
He tells her that this is the list of the nobilities who’ll participate in
tomorrow’s banquet so please remember them. “All of them are under the three
ministers. These nobles are the influencers [/powers] of the ministers and they
are properly separated.”
Eyde says that she didn’t expect him to
distinctly know the court’s influencers. Louis thinks of course he knows, and
that is because that is the list of noblewomen he had laid a hand on. “How can
I possibly not know who are their husbands and fathers...”
Louis says that even if these are the three
ministers’ influencers, but perhaps, there is 1 or 2 who can become Her
Majesty’s comrade. Looking dark, Eyde says yes, it is okay even if it is one
person. Sensing her gloomy mood, Louis perks up and says that as her true love,
isn’t he going to stay at her side.
Eyde tells him to shut up since he is a
fake. “Let me tell you in advance. We are not to announce our romantic relation
at tomorrow’s banquet. After the coronation ceremony, the ministers will
welcome the new queen. It isn’t the best moment to announce romance at that
place.” Louis says yes, yes, he’ll leave everything up to her.
Soon, it is raining. Louis knocks on the door
and says that he brought Eyde some snacks. He finds Eyde sleeping on the table.
He sees a glass and bottle of wine on the table. He thinks that this is the
first time he saw her taking a nap.
Then, he recalls Oberto telling him that
for it to become a real relationship, he has to be in bed with the queen. He
approaches Eyde and reaches out to her. Then, he clenches his fist. He thinks
that it’s so strange. “I obviously said so and right now, it is a good
opportunity but how come I lack...”
He takes a blanket from the sofa and puts
it on Eyde. Then, he sits by the window and watches the rain fall. Outside the
room, Marion passes by and sees them from the window. Then, a maid calls out to
Marion. She informs her that that there is a leak at the east side of the
palace so quickly take a look. Looking in the room, Marion nervously says,
but...
Cyan comes and tells Marion to please be at
ease, let her help in watching over Her Majesty at that side. Relieved Marion
says is that so, then she’ll leave this up to her. As Marion and the maid
leave, Cyan quietly looks inside. Inside, Eyde wakes up and sees Eden asking if
she is awake. “It’s alright, you can sleep for a while.”
Eyde reaches out to him and holds his hand
to her face. “Ah-- Just now, I had a really bad dream, brother... A very scary
nightmare that is filled with suffering...” Her brother calls out, Your
Majesty? The lightning flash. She realizes that she is holding baffled Louis’
hand.
She quickly pulls away her hand. Louis
calls out to her and asks if she is alright. Eyde shouts for someone to come to
her quickly! The lightning flashes again. Louis tensely thinks that this is
bad, and it seems that he had upset her. “In short, I have to first--”
Louis asks if she wants to listen to a
story about him when he was young. This puzzles Eyde. Looking out the window,
Louis says that it is a day like tonight, a stormy night... “While everyone is
waiting for father to come home, my sisters conceived a mischievous play...”
Flashback: Louis’ sister surrounded him and
said that he’s looks so pretty and cute. Just then, their father arrived and
asked how come no one is welcoming him home. He rubbed his eyes and sees a
pretty lass in front of him. He exclaimed, who is this beautiful girl!? It is
Louis wearing a dress.
To Louis’ aghast, his father held his hand
and asked for her name...and if she can...with him... Standing behind him, are
women holding all sorts of weapons like a rolling pin and chair. They start
beating him up.
They exclaimed, you scoundrel, you unexpectedly
would lay a hand on your own son and even put your hand on the face! “Even if
you are an outstanding person, you also should also draw the line!” Trembling,
his father protested that no, this beautiful person, how can she be his son
because his son should be... End flashback.
Louis says that he is glad that ever since
that incident, his sisters didn’t force him to dress up as a girl again. After
looking surprised, Eyde laughs and exclaims what is that! Surprised Louis’s
heart beats. He thinks that it is the first time he saw her laugh.
Louis says that he heard that Prince Eden
is full of warmth and is a totally beautiful person while he is living. “It is
very normal for Her Majesty to make an error of mistaking me for the prince.
Probably, I’m quite graceful.” Flipping her hair, Eyde says that she made a
mistake because she drank wine.
She smiles and says that her brother is a
very gentle person. “In this ice-cold palace, he’s the only one who gave me warmth...
Occasionally... I really miss him. Really truly misses him...” Louis says that
it is alright even if she occasionally makes that mistake. “I’m already your
fake lover, right? Can’t I also act out as a fake brother?”
Eyde looks surprised. Quickly looking at
the letter, Eyde says in short, they have to put things in order first. “I
still haven’t memorized half of this... There is still a mountain pile of
things to prepare for tomorrow.” Louis just says yes, yes, always until it is
finished, he’ll always accompany her.
Soon, it is morning and the rain has
stopped. While Eyde is resting on the table, Louis leaves the room. He is
surprised to see Cyan waiting outside. While a maid notices them, Cyan says
that obviously it was a good opportunity yet he lacks something so he didn’t do
anything, right? Louis tensely tries to explain but Cyan just smiles and
leaves.
The next day, at the palace’s banquet hall,
Olivia arrives with her two child attendants. She overhears the guests
whispering that Olivia is that Livi Chamber of Commerce’s... “A mere commoner
would unexpectedly also come here. She definitely used money to buy an
invitation.”
Olivia scowls that there are really such
boring people... “No matter who, they want to become the queen’s husband. There
are also people who came to know the result. How annoying...”
She notices someone. She curtsies to
Tequila who is drinking with his son. She greets him and he acknowledges her.
While kissing her hand, Tequila says that he heard that lately, the wheat
business in the southern part had become quite successful. Olivia thanks him
for it.
Tequila says that she is merely a commoner
yet she is able to step by step climb up to this place. “You are really worth
praising.” Olivia says that she also doesn’t know whose chamber of commerce had
become her stepping stone. “I’m like a phoenix woman.”
Tequila says that next time, he’ll give her
leftover dust to eat. “Miss Olivia, I’ll let you keep [/bring up] Levi Chamber
of Commerce first.” While thinking of him as a bastard who should eat shit,
Olivia laughs and says that she’ll really look forward to it. Smiling Tequila
thinks that she is a mere peasant.
An attendant calls out for everyone to pay
attention for Her Majesty Eyde Adelheit has arrived. Everyone looks at the
balcony. Eyde stands in front of everyone as they bow and curtsy to her.
Holding the railings, expressionless Eyde
welcomes everyone to her succession banquet. “The most important part of the
ceremony is the wearing of the crown. Today, let us first leave it out... and
please, everyone, enjoy today’s banquet.” [<- I’m not sure if they are doing
the coronation later or she isn’t going to bother with it ^^;]
Oberto walks in front and congratulates
Eyde. Eyde thanks him. Oberto apologizes for his rudeness but as one of the
country’s ministers, let him courageously ask Her Majesty something. Eyde asks,
something? Smiling Oberto says it is the heir problem. Eyde looks aghast.
Bowing Oberto says that as a minister, he
dedicated his life to the country and right now, he is worried about the
country’s heir problem. “Can you as early as possible find a partner in order
for the minister, this old man to be relieved and have peace of mind? *Eyde
nervously says that is--* Until now, there isn’t much time given to the
country...
...And, it just so happened that in this
banquet wherein Your majesty is the star, there are so many outstanding nobles
gathered her today. *the nobles start to look at each other and smile* Better
than fixing an auspicious date or moving it to another day, why don’t Your
Majesty choose one among them? How about it?”
Eyde refuses and says why does she have to
listen to him... A nobleman suddenly shouts, him, what does she think of him!
Another nobleman shouts, no Your Majesty, please marry me! “Don’t joke around,
you are just my son!” “What do you think of my nephew, Your Majesty!”
Eyde is aghast as the noblemen kept on
shouting, ‘Your Majesty, Your Majesty!” Narration: “In the end, everyone in
this assembly have only one common goal. *image of hyenas getting closer to
Eyde’s feet* In order to sample the taste of meat that is known as power-- but,
hungry hyenas, that kind of rough bearing won’t change a woman’s heart.”
Eyde is surprised when all dressed up Louis
suddenly stands beside her and addresses the people. “Why don’t you irrational
people back off! This is the banquet of Her Majesty ascending the throne and
you people are truly unsightly! Treat these words as what a minister should
say! Be a bit civilized!”
Everyone is stunned. Pointing at him, one
of the nobleman asks who he is that he would unexpectedly dare stand there and
say those words! Louis introduces himself and says that he is the queen’s
social teacher. The nobleman says that he is merely a teacher yet he
unexpectedly dare...!
Louis continues, “I’m also the Her Majesty,
the queen’s lover. *Eyde looks shocked* From today on, I’ll be under your
care.” With that, he bows to everyone. Tequila and others are stunned. Oberto
and Cyan are smiling. Olivia is scowling.
They start to ask, did they hear that, Her
Majesty’s lover, is that for real, should they believe what he say? A nobleman
says he recognizes that face. “Isn’t that man a famous Casanova in the capital!
While a woman is looking flustered and
bites her finger, the man says that Louis makes a living by playing around with
women so how come he is standing at the queen’s side! “What...what that person
said, is it a fact, Your Majesty the queen?” Eyde looks surprised then she
lovingly looks at Louis.
Holding his arm, Eyde says yes, that’s
right, they always deeply love each other. The nobles couldn’t believe it. They
ask how can it be possible, where’s the proof, and there’s definitely a
mistake! They overhear a maid telling another maid, that’s right, she always
sees him coming out from the queen’s bedroom...
Looking around, scowling Olivia looks at Louis
waving while standing beside the queen. She thinks, “Louis, you idiot! Didn’t I
obviously tell you clearly about it earlier on! Do you really not know how
scary this palace is.” Tequila talks with some men who then hurriedly leave.
Standing at the side together with a hooded
person and Cyan, Oberto asks Cyan if this is true. Cyan says yes, she
personally saw it. “...the two of them are sleeping together.” Oberto says is
that so. Cyan just smiles.
Trembling, Chrysler pours out his wine and
says that this wine is unpleasant to drink. An attendant asks if he needs to
replace the bottle for him. Furious Chrysler says no need, it will do to just
fill the glass with that man’s blood. Chrysler is the National Defense Minister.
Narration: “Louis, this isn’t a garden that
you should set a foot in. It is a battle field filled with blood, gunpowder and
conspiracies to kill.” The last scene shows all four groups: Tequila with his
son and Olivia, furious Chrysler breaking the glass with his hand, smiling
Oberto with Cyan and the hooded person, and determined looking Eyde with
smiling Louis.
Comment: And, we have a new character. I wonder if she will be a friend or
foe since she is shown with Tequila. But then, Tequila and Olivia obviously
hate each other. Apparently, Olivia is one of those women who doesn’t easily fall
for Louis’ charm. Rather, money is her top priority. ^^
She is a shrewd woman who wants to get her
money back. Yet, it seems that she is genuinely worried for Louis in regards to
what he is getting himself into. I’m not too sure how aware Louis is but
obviously Olivia knows. Perhaps, because of the nature of her business and she
gets to socialize with these people.
In this chapter, Louis is getting better at
getting to Eyde’s good side. She couldn’t counter his suggestions, lowered her
guard with that story and even made her open up a bit about her brother. Louis
is showing to her that he is an asset to her which is good for his own sake.
What’s the reason why he couldn’t lay a
hand on her? Was he falling in love with her? Or, was it something else?
Luckily for him, Cyan is helping him out here by lying to Oberto. Still, for
what reason especially since she is supposed to be Oberto’s minion.
Thanks to Oberto, they were forced to
announce their relationship. And, Eyde is forced to play along. It helps that
the maids are watching things and gossiping to reinforce the lie. Judging from
how the other two ministers are reacting, Olivia is right to worry about Louis.
