From Five to Nine [Chapter 76 - Bad Teacher ]

Takane is surprised when the head priest told him that no one will hinder him if he goes back to Tokyo tomorrow. “The right to decide will be on you.” Takane thinks that he can go back tomorrow and see Junko...

“If I go back, then I can protect her from the difficulties caused by grandmother and Amane. *imagines Hibari and Amane displeased when Takane hugs Junko and told her, she has been waiting quite long, and she no longer needs to worry again*...

...I can also directly reject that man whether it is a business trip or whatever. *imagines himself angrily telling Makoto that the New York business trip is rejected and Junko glumly saying that since Takane doesn’t agree then there’s nothing can be done...* ...Can... stay at her side... if I go home...”

The head priest tells him that even if the training hasn’t ended yet, but he’ll wait for Takane to sort out his family issues and then he can come back and continue the training. Holding his collar, Takane recalls Junko’s picture with a promise that she’ll wait for him so concentrate on the training.

“Go back... together with this picture hidden in my chest...? At her side...protect...? Junko-san’s picture... Junko-san’s smiling face...” At the dorm, Junko smiles and says, 60 points. This puzzles Makoto. Junko explains that the biggest deduction from the confession just now is from his difficulty in convey to the other.

“Doing it twice can pass on an intense favorable impression but if it were to be passed on to a woman, you must use a more concrete way of wording in order to get a high score.”
Makoto is irked by this. She continues, “The ‘like’ between co-workers can still be inclined towards a woman’s ‘love’. Don’t you want to think it over on how to make your wordings be more explicit in conveying your feelings...

...according to how you worded it just now, it has no direction to a woman whose heart is somewhat taken. So, it’s 65 points. Kiyomiya Makoto-san, put more expression into it.” Makoto says that score is really rare. Junko tells him that she is a woman who makes people loathe her. “It is better for you to hate a woman like me.”

Makoto looks surprised. Standing up, Junko says but, she likes a capable man so that confession just now, after he improved it, go fight again. Do your best!” Makoto smiles and thanks her.

Junko asks, “...also, the answer just now, does it have any effect on the work for the business trip? Are you going to replace me with someone else? Are you going to fire me, a rude assistant?”

Makoto says that even if it is an abuse of power to say those words but does she feel that he is a boss who’ll do that kind of ‘below the belt’ thing? “Or else, you hoped that I’ll do that. ...such a mean-spirited woman...” Junko smiles and says it is to evade the risk of romance in the workplace.

Makoto apologizes and says that he cannot return her expectation because he cannot hate this kind of loathsome woman. “If you want, I’ll call up the lawyer student at the bar below and make a statute [/rule].” Surprised Junko says what, she isn’t making him...
By the door, Eric asks if he’s calling for him. He says that like Makoto said, he can write a statute and send it to the company granted that Makoto will be billed for it. “And let me say it first, our office [rate] is very expensive.”

Tobey calls out to Junko and asks if she is already alright since Makoto suddenly got all flustered... “We were very worried about you!” Junko is surprised that Eric is a lawyer and she apologizes to Tobey for making him worry. Irked Makoto asks why they are here.

Tobey says that he was the one who was screaming loudly and they rushed over to check on the situation. Junko bows and apologize to Makoto for troubling him just because she just got a bit dizzy. She excuses herself and asks to borrow the toilet. Makoto tells her to wait, he’ll drive her home.

Before he can leave the room, Eric says that he is very nervous about that ‘beating around the bush’ kind of love confession. “Other person’s romance... I don’t have any interest in it but your level of stealing away her hand is no good.”

Pointing to a jar filled with some bills, Makoto shouts, hey, they are violating the dorm’s rule about ‘it is forbidden to meddle into other people’s private lives’. He shouts whether it is pound or yen, they better properly pay up.

Eric shouts that it is because as concerned dormmates, they are worried about him, a love rookie.” He tells them to pay attention to the other dormmates’ sns and don’t mind his affair. As he goes out, Lance tells him that just now, Junko called a taxi and left even if he tried to stop her.
In the taxi, blushing Junko thinks that is quite bad because actually his score is 89. “It is the first time I’ve seen a calm offensive... Director’s sex appeal is a really a bit too sly. Obviously, he is almost the same age as Hoshikawa-san...

...Even if I wasted money in hailing a cab but right now, I cannot let director drive me home. Hoshikawa-san, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m really sorry!! But I did a distasteful thing and it is possible that I’ll be hated for it...

...Ah, the most important thing is my mood today is very awful. Why do I feel nauseous? Using that kind of way to evade him and with this kind of body condition, even if the candidate chosen to go to the business trip is replaced, I also have no way of complaining about it...

...*feeling sick as she covers her mouth* What is this... Even if I’m tired but this is being too tired. I..ah, even if I don’t want to admit it, but is this aging before the age of 30...!? *taxi arrives at the temple* ...please give me a receipt...thank you...very much...”

The driver thanks her and tells her not to forget anything. “Ma’am?? Are...you alright?” Junko manages to go to the gate but she ends up kneeling down. She wonders if she is carsick. “Like this...it seems like in a TV drama...” She holds her abdomen and looks surprised.
Meanwhile, Takane recalls that from the start, Junko’s miai picture was a very fierce stare that has captivated him. “I thought, no matter what, I want this person to smile at me. *picture of Junko smiling while holding out her finger for a promise*...

...That woman smiled at me who agreed on that promise. Could it be that her wish is for me to stay at her side? ...No. It is for me to complete the training as a young abbot and become a suitable man for her. Then I’ll go back.”

He looks at the head priest and tells him that he wishes to continue and finish the remaining one month and a half training. He apologizes and asks if he can ask something, that is, who asked him to do this, his grandfather or his grandmother.

The head priest sheepishly says that he was exposed and it is really inevitable. He confessed that it is his grandmother who called. “She is quite concerned about you that she always asks me to do things... Your grandfather would always say, right? Trainings are stupid and you really inherited that from your grandfather.”

Takane slightly smiles and bows. He thanks him and apologizes for the trouble he caused. Later on, Takane is writing. Narration: “Dear Junko-san, I don’t approve of your business trip to New York. All the more, I forbid you from being with that man...

...I absolutely won’t allow it. In a month and a half, I’ll accomplish our agreement. I’ll properly finish my duty and return to your side so for this month and a half, please be good and wait for me to come back. Takane.”

There’s a scene of Junko covering her mouth and thinking, “Since that night...had passed...it has been a month and a half, right? ...to say... it is possible...that it is a bit late...”
Comment: And, it seems that indirectly thanks to Takane, Junko’s dream to go to the US will be hindered again if she’s pregnant. Somehow, I wonder if it is impossible for her to go afterwards. Okay, because of duties and stuff in the temple along with having a family, she might be old if she ever gets a chance.

But then, this development might force the grandmother to accept her especially if the child is a son. <- typical scenario. Junko managed to shoo away Makoto but it seems that if she stayed with him longer, she’ll be swayed. ^^; It makes me think that if she didn’t meet and fell in love with Takane first, there is a possibility for these two to end up together.

Of course, Makoto’s friends are right in worrying about him. It is an unrequited love towards an engaged woman. That is practically a no-no. It can ruin his reputation and he’ll just end up hurt. But alas, if only we can easily control our feelings and suddenly stop loving the other. In a way, instead of ‘hating each other here’, this incident was a ‘turn on’ for both...in some way. ^^;;

Takane made a good decision to stay. I wonder if his grandmother was testing him or something. Or, she really wants him to come back and probably do something with Junko. Even if she doesn’t like Junko, perhaps, she is also testing her love for Takane...like how much hardship can she endure to be with Takane, her precious grandson? Scans by 5→9

  2. last time they did, Junko said it's save time so didn't use condom.
...Maybe it's her mistake in calculating.
but I think she's so tired from working too much.

    1. Possible, guppy.

If she's pregnant, then it would be kind of her fault?
