Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapter 50]

At Hakuyou’s Ninshu, Yuulin is inspecting incognito with the Wolf King’s party because he ‘wants to see an acquaintance’. Currently, they continue to move towards their destination. By the port, Yuulin exclaims that it is a huge river. “A ship! Are we going to ride that!?” Kokuu tells her that this is the shortest route to Youshu [You province]. Jun sighs and says that they will travel by ship for a while. While eating a snack, Dai says that it has been a long time since they went to a far place. Kokuu asks Yuulin if it is the first time she rode on a ship. Walking around the port, excited Yuulin says yes. To her surprise, Reishou suddenly carries her on his arm and says that if she runs around too fast, she’ll fall. While Yuulin is blushing, Reishou smiles and asks if she wants to go take a closer look at the ship, he’ll carry her around like this. Yuulin exclaims that there’s no need and before Jun comes back, go a bit farther away from her. As she struggles, Reishou continues to laugh. Kokuu muses that they are so ‘warm’. In this incognito trip, Kokuu thinks that she is working at the harem as a cleaning lady. There’s no need for the married couple acting or rather, they shouldn’t.

Yuulin manages to jump down from Reishou. Takes a step back and holds up both hands as defense. Yuulin shouts for Reishou to please stop this game of his for it is really troublesome!!! Trying to suppress his laughter, Reishou says ya, like this, he’s really sorry. While Kokuu stares at them, Dai is chuckling. Seeing Reishou smiling, Yuulin nervously thinks that Reishou must have absolutely thought that this ‘the wolf king is flirting with the cleaning lady’ plan is very interesting. “If I were to make Li Jun-sama angry, I will be fired. This is truly very troublesome!!” As the ship is sailing, Reishou tries to go near blushing Yuulin who is protesting. By the side of the ship, Kokuu and Jun are watching them. Kokuu comments that it is really an amazing method of loving her dearly and it is the first time he has seen Reishou like that. Gloomy Jun says is that so..he felt that his [Jun] brains had stopped thinking... Kokuu says that he must be tired. Then, Reishou is now showing Yuulin some scenery as they talk together about it. Kokuu asks Jun why would he particularly oppose those two’s relationship. And about ignoring Reishou, the cleaning lady is also doing her best in all sorts of ways. Jun says about that, it is not recommended. Kokuu says that for them to be together during this travelling while incognito, isn’t it already too late for they are already lovey-dovey. This irks Jun.

Kokuu laughs and says that he really wishes that daughter-sama is like that devastatingly beautiful lady [<- can cause the fall of a country] in the harem that he had heard about. Imagining perky consort Yuulin, Jun darkly says it has no relation with that. While Dai is sleeping above the cabin’s floor, Jun says that basically, it is okay for the harem’s consort to be a ‘devastatingly beautiful’ only towards the ‘king’. “That person won’t think of letting others see [it].” After talking with someone, Reishou joins up with Yuulin again. Yuulin asks him what he talked about with the sailor. Reishou says that he heard a lot of local stuff from him. Smiling and looking lively, Reishou says that in the end, direct information [/knowledge] is the most important. Looking at him, Yuulin recalls that when they were in downtown before, Reishou also likes to walk back and forth.. She wonders if Reishou always watch the people in the streets and their lives so in this inspecting while incognito, he is really inspecting and it isn’t only just some leisurely sightseeing. “If it is like that, ..I shouldn’t be harsh on His Majesty. I won’t say things about his actions giving me trouble.” Thoughtful Yuulin looks at Reishou who happily says that freedom is really good.

Looking determined, Yuulin thinks that’s right, she should help cheer him on with his work. “A working consort’s application skills have to be stronger.” [<- has to keep on practicing to become good at it] And, Reishou goes to her and asks her what she is thinking. She suddenly scolds him when he is in front of her. She thinks but, in the end, there is someone who’ll be troubled!! “He’s seen it, he’s seen it!!” And, Jun is fuming at the side. Later on, Reishou goes to talk with grumpy Jun. Kokuu laughs and tells Yuulin that is quite tiring. He admits to her that he got this work here a few days ago so he is conveniently doing some investigation. Yuulin sweatdrops and wonder if he was called for this job in short notice. While Kokuu is sitting on the ship’s floor, Yuulin asks if his work is at downtown. She recalls that he is a secret agent [/detective]. Kokuu dejectedly says yes, and he wants to go back to the military yet he couldn’t go back. Yuulin thinks that Kokuu looks very close with Reishou so he must know about the ‘Wolf King’ acting. She asks him since when did he know Reishou.

Kokuu says about that, when he is with the northern frontier army, they got to know each other before the army rushed to help. “When the Wolf king’s older brother-sama is still king, ever since that time, he [Reishou] really causes trouble to people.” Yuulin thinks that it is the past Reishou—the one she didn’t know. Just then, Reishou going towards their direction so Kokuu says that Reishou’s coming back so he’s going. Kokuu is then talking with Reishou who smiles. This made Yuulin blush and become startled for that is the Wolf king’s smile. Then, she joins Reishou. Later on, a kunai hits the floor where Kokuu is standing. Looking up, Kokuu asks what that way of greeting means, spy. Dai asks isn’t he saying too many unnecessary things to that kid, military-man. “For that person, that is a very important thing.” Kokuu says that the way he say it, it is like it is his bad habit when he basically didn’t say much. Jun tells them to please do not look ferocious [/murderous looking] in this place. “Right now, we should be lying low. This time, the true goal is to quickly go and quickly leave. Regarding the troublesome issue, please talk about it again later on. After the mission, it is okay whether you two want to kill each other or to work together.” Kokuu says yes. Dai playfully says that luckily it’s Jun. Then, according to the original plan, they safely arrive at Youshu.

At Youshu, Jun says that they will be staying at this town for today. Tomorrow, they are moving to their destination by riding horses. In passing, he, Reishou, and Kokuu will be gathering intelligence in this province. So, Yuulin and Dai will go eat and rest, then later on, they will meet together at the place where they will be staying. Unsatisfied and scowling, Reishou says that it is really strange that in Jun’s itinerary, there is no time for him and Yuulin to go sightseeing. Looking dark, Jun laughs and asks if he is still joking around. “I have already decided that the sightseeing time be omitted. After we finish what we have to do, we’ll quickly go back! Ahaha at the ship, it is already considered as sightseeing. Then, let’s go.” Sweatdropping Yuulin thinks no wonder it is Jun for that plan has no waste and it is very accurate. Later on, while walking in the streets, Yuulin says that everyone seems to have very good rapport [/connection] with each other. It was simply settled and they had moved on. Dai says that it is the remains from past’s habits and this [trip] is pretty much leisurely. Yuulin is very curious for she wants to know but that is definitely.. Perhaps, it is the topic related to ‘An Ryukou’ these days?” Reishou tells him to tell him that one after another. “I hope that it is something that isn’t heard at the imperial palace.” The informant exclaims, “Yes..!”

At the inn, Yuulin thinks that she wants to always be at his side and she wants to know about him, that desire won’t stop increasing, and her own heart couldn’t control it. She wonders up to when she will be depressed while thinks of this. Then, Reishou asks which side does she want, is it the window side? Yuulin becomes nervous and wonders why she is staying in the same bedroom with him today. Reishou happily apologizes for the law and order of this place isn’t quite good lately and it will make him worry if Yuulin is going to sleep alone. “This way, it is for the best that you stay with me.” There is a chibi Jun looking furious that he was overruled by Reishou. Yuulin thinks that there was a possibility for this to happen during the trip but this! The king and cleaning lady’s relationship will.. She looks like she has a headache. She is shock when Reishou is glumly looking at her. She starts to freak out for it is the dejected puppy Reishou. He mutters, “Yuulin.. together with me.” Yuulin tearfully shouts, “I totally do not hate it!!!” As Yuulin goes to her side of the room and shouts that she’ll take this side, she thinks that if it is the other Wolf king, it is inevitable that he’ll glare at her. Removing her hat, Yuulin tells herself to act like the usual.

Reishou is surprised when Yuulin starts walking towards him and sitting beside him on the bed. Reishou asks what it is since during the day, she has been avoiding him and totally resisting him. Blushing Yuulin says that if there is a bit of distance, she’ll easily forget it right? “The married couple acting. –it is trousblesome if after the inspection, the king and consort have drifted apart. *Tense Reishou is slightly blushing* although it is no good when we are in front of people! But, if we are all alone together, then, it would be like in the harem, right? ..Your Majesty? *sees Reishou holding his head and sweatdropping* Let me ask, is there a problem?” Reishou says that it is nothing, right now, he is just thinking if it is a trap or an issue about trust, so there’s no need for her to mind it. Yuulin thinks that he’s talking about work. Yuulin says that this time around, those three in this trip, are they special people to him? “It is quite different from the ‘Wolf King’ acting that I know. It felt..the mood isn’t the same. It is very natural that I thought that it is baffling.” Reishou says is that so, ah, possibly it is because it is very relaxing outdoors. Yuulin asks if his mood is that relaxed. She wonders why it felt that it is very complicated and in the end, it is because he is with special people so he is able to be ‘relaxed’.

A bit drowsy, Yuulin says that it is really great to have male friends for it feels very fun [/happy]. She thinks that she couldn’t blend into them for they know the king whom she doesn’t know, and she’s really envious of that. Laughing Reishou says that the king doesn’t have friends. “The Wolf king only has a consort, just one person.” Yuulin says is that so. He calls out to her and she has fallen asleep. Holding her, Reishou says, “Really, Yuulin, you really trust me so much.. and I noticed it just now.. *frowns and sweatdrops* ..ah, she must be pretty tired for she isn’t used to travelling. *pats her head and leans close to her* ..sorry, as long as.. there is some other time again..” And while the three men are drinking, Kokuu laughs and says that they drink first before talking again. “In the end, we cannot hinder the youngsters, right.” Dai says that originally, he shouldn’t do any foolish thing, right? And, he had already seen that. Jun angrily shouts that wasn’t their relationship bad so please do not cooperate with each other during this time, and they are the ones doing a foolish thing.

Comment: Hehe, and Reishou gets the last laugh on planning their itinerary. ^^; Less sightseeing got him to stay in the same room with her. And Yuulin is indeed very trusting of him that he won’t do anything to her. ^^;; Well, I guess it helps that she believes that the puppy Reishou is the real personality. In a way, it seems that Reishou also only trusts her when he claims that the Wolf king only has the consort and no friends. Hm..maybe it is also because he’s in love with her because those three are with him for a long time and are still with him now. He doesn’t seem to be keeping some distance from them. Based on what Jun said, he seems to be only against the relationship, probably because of politics and based on the ways of the court rather than not liking Yuulin. He must be looking out for Reishou..like ah, strict dominating parent who knows what’s good for one’s naughty son? ^^;; Ah, I’m also curious about Reishou’s past and how he came to know these guys with him now. Did they just decide let’s change this country or, hey come with me to the capital since I’m the next heir? Hehe, they all tend to have a headache over Reishou’s ‘willfulness/stubbornness’. Apparently, Reishou is indeed a military outdoor guy. I wonder though why he is in the army. Is it because he likes it, his older brother hopes he dies in battle, or something else?
