Ookami-heika no Hanayome [Chapter 47]

At Hakuyou’s harem, as a court lady fixes her hair, Yuulin wonders what Reishou meant by ‘can we try a bit, some consort work?’ “It is really great that the fickleness misunderstanding has been resolved. ..so what could that mean.. Consort’s work.. is it a more difficult job? *tense with hands together* I have studied [courtesy of Jun] things related to the harem and the imperial palace. ..is it participating in some..large scale banquet..? *walking around in circles* How worrying..what could it be.” A court lady calls out to her that His Majesty has arrived. She calls out yes. Yuulin thinks that it’s here. “No matter what it is, as the professional consort, I’ll definitely up for it. *clenches fist and looks determined* Gambatte!! [/I’ll do my best]” And puzzled Yuulin is sitting on Reishou’s lap. They are at the porch overlooking the garden. She calls out to him and asks if they are going to talk outside where the wind blows. Smiling Reishou leans to her and says yes, today, they are talking about ‘work’.

Blushing Yuulin thinks that he’s so near. He confirms with her about her want to strive harder as the professional consort. She says yes. He says then he’ll teach her a little bit. “The work of the Wolf King’s real consort.” Yuulin wonders what kind of mystery it is. Then, Reishou holds her hand and says, “—this finger ..and all of the hair on your head, everything is mine. *wolf mode* All of this, is loved by me. *Yuulin goes dizzy and !?* ..if you know this working [consort] ‘acting’ then you can play a more profound [/advanced stage] performance, right?” Still dizzy, Yuulin thinks, “!? Love!? –I feel..feel that this work.. I feel that this work is very dangerous!!” The rabbit is standing up the plate and thinking that the wolf has arrived. Later on, Reishou is walking at the outer corridor and mutters that the ignorant rabbit came. Dai happily swings down the roof and asks, “Did you finally took a bite?” Reishou frowns at him so Dai thinks that it seems that he is unhappy. Reishou tells him that anyway, Yuulin immediately raised her voice and slightly threateningly said, ‘in the end, it is impossible’ then, the game temporarily ended.

Just now, it is totally foolish for it is like the rabbit tearfully runs away from the plate where the wolf is and shouts that it is impossible. Dropping down from the roof, Dai comments that is really, an amazing imagination. Dai also says that from that premise wherein Yuulin ran away from him, he can even say that, isn’t it really pitiful. Reishou just frowns. Dai says geez, just fighting to get a girl’s smile, is it that important, Your Majesty? Reishou smiles and says that he also can go after his own happiness[/have fun?]. As Reishou leaves, Dai thinks that afterwards, it would be exhausting at that side. Narration: “And like this, the working consort ‘try doing some consort work’ has begun.” As the two always stick together, Reishou says that she immediately moved away from his gaze. Yuulin apologizes. He calls out to her and she says yes.. Scared Yuulin timidly looks at him. He says that she’s a good kid[/girl]. Then, Yuulin closes her eyes, blushing and enduring. At the government hall, Yuulin sighs and thinks that it is quite exhausting being the Wolf king’s real consort..!!

Mentally going ‘ahahah’, Yuulin trembles and recalls how Reishou kept on lovingly clinging on to her. “What’s up with this? Sweet [acting] lines are obviously part of acting as a married couple but it is making my heart beat too fast that it became like this. With just the two of us alone, the Wolf king would be motionless and kept on gazing at me. Only by calling my name, it seems like I’m going to quickly die..! Afterwards, carefully touching my hand and my cheeks. With this kind of progress in the acting, won’t it make my heart explode and die?” Then, she and Houen see each other. While holding a small box of scrolls, Houen says that today, her face is still quite unsightly. Irked Yuulin says really, he’s quite honest, with that way of greeting her. Then, she asks him what he would do if his strength is not enough for the job and it is also a difficult [/challenging] work. Houen says that it is another senseless question. “—If His Majesty has determined that I can do this kind of work, in order to respond to that confidence [/trust], there is no other choice but to give him the result that he is expecting!!”

Fired up Yuulin exclaims that it is like that!! “In the end, one has to strive hard, be enthusiastic and have willpower [/perseverance]!” Houen exclaims that he doesn’t plan on discussing about willpower, for it only has to be about results! Thinking that they seems to be having fun, smiling Suigetsu says that if it is him, if it is impossible, he’ll say it is impossible earlier on. “—and then His Majesty will get angry *gloomy* that it would be better to propose a substitute plan.. thinking about it puts me in a dizzy spell.. really want to go home..” Houen angrily shouts that his personality is working once then fainting once!!! Yuulin says that it is cruel to overwork until he collapses. She thinks that everyone are striving hard, even Suigetsu, in their respective duties. Walking around in circles again in the harem, she thinks that her heart is beating so fast that she’ll quickly die, but ah.. Entering the harem, Reishou sees her. After approaching her, he touches her face and asks what’s up, in the end, she’s quickly at her limit, right? Yuulin says, “No, please continue on. If His Majesty desires it, I’ll properly endure it [/repress her feelings]..!”

Reishou’s smile freezes and imagines the rabbit standing up the plate as it shouts, “I can still go on-!! How about it!!” Feeling dizzy, Reishou covers his face and says, “I apologize, it is my bad. Overdid it.” [<- polite language.] Yuulin is puzzled. Reishou says that he overdid the prank. Yuulin shouts, “Why is it suddenly like that!! Did I do something wrong!! I can continue on!!” Looking away, Reishou tensely holds up his hand and says that it is alright, he knows that is a trap. He imagines the rabbit crying, ‘Hate you the most!, staring at him while muttering ‘awful--’ and running away shouting, ‘Hate you, don’t want to see your face, I resign!!’ Patting her head, Reishou smiles and tells her that doing the consort job will only up to this point, okay? Yuulin thinks that a kind smile, this is already enough. Yuulin says is that so..yes, is that right. Thinking that he is telling her that a working consort isn’t the same as the real one, Yuulin turns around and complains that compare to this place, he finds it more fun [/happy] to be at the military. “For you, my acting-whatever is very boring. I’m very sorry that you’re wasting your time!” This made Reishou hold out his hand.

At some other room, Jun and Kokuu are having dinner[/snack] together. After taking a sip of his tea, Jun asks him if Reishou has changed for lately, he has been seeing him. Kokuu says that regarding the method [of fighting?], he can say that there is no change..right now, sitting with the title of king, it is like.. “—before, isn’t he still the same person. He was somewhat a bit calm and cool-headed?” After taking another sip, Jun darkly says that of course, right now, he is also a bit insincere, always doing something on his own if he thinks of something, and not even considering his [Jun] side’s situation--  Chibi Reishou calls out to Jun, that he has decided on that [so that’s that]. Kokuu says that it isn’t easy for Jun, he understands. Jun says that Reishou didn’t change a bit, he is still their respected and loved boss [-sama]. After looking surprised, Kokuu smiles and says is that so. He mentions about rumor, in the end, it is a rumor, right? “The king totally following the doted consort obediently. An exceptionally beautiful lady!!”

Looking aghast, Jun says that is a forced interpretation of it. He imagines puppy Reishou calling out to Yuulin. Emitting dark aura, Jun says that against expectations, His Majesty, who would have thought. “Hahaha, I cannot dare believe it.” Kokuu asks if that is a cold smile. Back in the harem, blushing Yuulin is surprised as she asks Reishou why he would suddenly. Reishou is carrying her ala princess carry towards the bed. Yuulin wonders why he is angry. He puts her on the bed and goes on top of her. She tries to protest but he says that day, the one who entice him is her. “Despite being my sweetheart consort *wolf mode* ..I WON’T DO THE THINGS THAT YOU DETEST-WHATEVER. ..want to continue? The king’s consort?” Tense Yuulin thinks that his face is that of the wolf king who is up to mischief. She wonders how he is going to continue this acting for didn’t he obviously say that it is only up to that point. “Could it be that this is testing me? My willpower!! How can I admit defeat!!” She tells him to please do as he likes. Reishou smiles and says that it is like a vigorous rabbit.

Yuulin starts to freak out when he kisses her hand then her forehead. He asks, “The skill in teasing the husbanad, where did you learn it? This is.. for me to attain your smile, that I took a lot of trouble [for it]. ..such a troublesome consort. –together with me, even if I know that it is a mistake, I’m only a stupid king who is deeply engrossed with the consort.” After looking surprised, Yuulin pushes his face away and says, wait, wwwaait, wait Your Majesty! Reishou says ah, want to end it at this part? Laughing while holding up his hand, he says that it is okay, he understands. “Really, Yuulin!” Flustered and angry Yuulin shouts, “Why are you treating me for a fool!! It isn’t like that! I have not surrendered at all! *Reishou looks surprised* Right now, that acting is no good. The Wolf king is not at all that kind of stupid [awkward] king!? *Reishou asks is that so* Yes, that’s right! Being terrifying is for the country and he is a cool striving hard king! Deeply engrossed with the consort is absolutely no good!! I won’t dare believe it!! Thus, right now, re-do that part, do it once again!!”

Reishou feels dizzy, then, he starts laughing about the consort is telling the Wolf king that it is no good. Embarrassed Yuulin exclaims if it is necessary to laugh like that. Trembling in laughter, Reishou says no, it is because..it’s very strange, Yuulin.. Resting his head on her shoulder, he says, “In the end, it is great that Yuulin is Yuulin.” While she is mildly freaking out, he apologizes and says that he is a bit tired. Yuulin asks isn’t that bad, he can use this bed. He asks if they can lie down together. She exclaims how is that possible, she’ll go to the other room to rest. He mutters in agreement. Reaching out her hand to him, Yuulin thinks, “By your side, I don’t know but can you see it? It wasn’t conveyed, right? *hugs him tight* Really like [you]. Even if I’m just a working consort, and not the real one, I really want for this to always continue on.” Reishou thinks that it is really confusing. He imagines himself as the wolf with the rabbit sweetly nudging him at the side. The next day[?], Reishou is holding Yuulin’s hand and says that it is painful to leave her, but they must temporarily part ways. Yuulin says yes, please take care on his way. While the smiling court ladies watch on, Jun is shock to see this scene.

Following Reishou behind, Jun asks him what was that conversation a while ago, for basically, he’ll only go to the imperial palace, that’s all. Reishou lamely says that is the husband-wife acting quality going a bit higher since she is deeply committed to work. Chibi Yuulin shouts that she won’t admit defeat!! Puzzled Jun says that didn’t he said, ‘not at all want to do a detestable thing’ and looking at it, it seems a bit stiff. Reishou says so he is saying that he is in the process of confirming up to where is Yuulin’s limit, and for her to be conveniently that stiff, she is quickly nearing her limit. Jun wonders out loud over what good can he say about that. Continuing to walk away, Reishou assures him, “There’s no need to worry. I know. ..anyway, it is a trap.” Rabbit is shown happily running off. Feeling very uneasy, Jun wonders if it is really no problem. “Is it really no problem at all..!?” Narration: “Hakuyou’s king and working consort’s acting is like that. *sitting on Reishou’s lap, they look at each other and hold hands*..Mutually doing all sorts of striving hard, the sweetness index is rising up.” At the training grounds, Reishou is sparring with Kokuu. Kokuu says by the way, he also wants to see the exceptionally beautiful girl. Swinging his pole, Reishou says absolutely not. After blocking it, Kokuu tensely says wha..just now, he’s serious, right?! Reishou claims that he doesn’t know.

Comment: Ah, indeed Yuulin is Yuulin. She has a high expectation for the wolf king and obviously, she doesn’t want that rumor to come true. I guess it could be partly because she doesn’t want to bring him down like what the other women/consorts did to his father and brother. This is actually good since Yuulin is really a nice girl who won’t use her position and influence for her own advantage. Yuulin also managed to unintentionally confuse Reishou that her secret is still safe. Still, it is quite funny how she can catch him off guard. =P It is also thanks to Houen’s advice. Hehe, those two really take their work very seriously and professionally. In the end, the couple had leveled up their lovey-dovey acting. Dai does seem to be Reishou’s confidant regarding his love life. Jun seems to be becoming tense over Yuulin’s influence on Reishou. And, apparently, Kokuu still doesn’t know that town girl Yuulin is the doted consort. ^^; Scans by BaRaMei私人汉化
