And the results of the borrowers’ race are being announced. Togyuu, with Yuyuka, is in the last place. Looking at her hand that is being held by Togyuu, she asks why it has to be her even if it doesn’t matter to her. He tells her that it is because she has always been avoiding him lately. When Yuyuka tries to explain, he interrupts by saying that most likely it is because she wants to think clearly whether her feelings for him is ‘hate’ or that feeling that is totally opposite of that. Meanwhile, Suzume is running around and finally finds Mamura who is getting ready for his relay race. She calls out to him that he asks what it is, all of a sudden. She holds up the head band and says that it is for him. She tells him that she made it for him, she always forget to give it to him. She says that even if it isn’t well-made and he’s okay with it, take it. She thinks that this is something that she solely made for him so she wants to personally give it to him. Mamura suddenly hugs her and mutters, “I won’t easily let you go.” His friends are reacting over the public display of affection on broad daylight. Mamura grabs the head band and says that he’ll go, and then come back. Suzume was surprised by that and she recalls herself telling him not to leave her. As the relay race contestants are called to gather, Shishio is watching them. Back to the Yuyuka, she asks how come Togyuu wants to know. He says that he only wants to know. Yuyuka tells him not to think that she’ll just tell him because he asked and she has no obligation to tell him. Togyuu tries to feel her out by asking if it is the opposite of hate and it means that, if she doesn’t say. As she protests, Togyuu calmly asks if she hates him after knowing that he’s poor or she already likes someone else.
Holding her finger tighter, Togyuu admits to her that until now, he doesn’t care what other people think but when she started to avoid her, he became uneasy and hurt, that his brain is filled with all sorts of foolish thoughts. He slightly smiles at her and asks if he is very foolish. She grips back his hand and says that it isn’t about him being poor or not, and she doesn’t have anyone that she likes. She admits to him that the reason why she is avoiding him the opposite of ‘hate’. She is surprised when he suddenly bows his head = blushing and steaming. She starts to reprimand him. He says that this is bad, he’s so happy that he’ll die. Yuyuka blushes and pouts. She mutters, is that so. The relay race is starting. Suzume returns to her friends. When asked where she went, she tells them that she just did something. They inform her that Yuyuka hasn’t come back yet. As they get ready to eat some snack, Suzume spots Mamura. She is about to call to him until she sees Shishio who is also in the race. While the others are talking about Shishio joining, flustered Suzume wonders why it is always like this, always such bad timing. The race starts. Mamura mutters to Shishio that he won’t lose. Shishio looks at the headband that Mamura has wrapped around his wrist. Shishio tells Mamura that he had told Suzume what he truly thinks[/feels] and he also won’t lose. This angers Mamura and calls him jerk. Shishio says that he doesn’t care what others say or think, because what he wants, he will go and take[/steal]. “I won’t give her[/give up] to anyone again.” Mamura says that is his line. The batons are passed. Mamura grabs his and runs off. Suzume watches as the two guys are running ahead of the others.
Comment: Shishio fans shouts, “Steal..steal!!” Mamura fans shouts, “Defense..defense!!” And, apparently, contrary to what I thought, Mamura isn’t going to easily give Suzume up. Actually that is good since it shows that Mamura’s feelings for her are serious which is probably what Suzume meant earlier with ‘do not leave me’ like what happened with Shishio before or maybe that is just a ‘friend thing’? Based on what Mamura told Suzume, it does seem that he has sensed Suzume’s uneasiness earlier though I’m not sure if he knows it is Shishio. Anyway, he is going to fight on. And, that is also what Shishio is going to do. Wow, he’s getting very brazen. That way of thinking, ‘I don’t care what others say or think’ for love..it can be good or bad, depends on one’s own perspective. Here, even if Shishio probably meant about wanting to get her back that he no longer cares if he’s a teacher going after a student. Hehe, honestly, the first thing on my mind is, so it’s okay to steal someone else’s girlfriend? Well, again, as I’ve mentioned, it depends on one’s perspective if that is okay then, stealing husband/wives are pretty much ‘okay’ with that ‘I don’t care what others say or think because I want/love’ way of thinking. =P Since I’m mentioning this, yes, for me, anyone has a boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband is hands-off. So, Yuyuka and Togyuu’s relationship is making progress but stopped at the reluctant confession. Nevertheless, it is positive that this will lead to going steady. Thinking of this, it makes me think that Mamura has more to ‘lose’ in terms of ‘pairings’ in this series if he didn’t get Suzume. Shishio still has that visiting ex-girlfriend. Since I think this series will end with the final choice, if he wasn’t chosen, Mamura ends up with nothing and he can just join the other ‘good guys’ in Mairunovich. ^^; Maybe a side story of them having a goukon. Anyway, even if these two guys tried so hard and everything, it doesn’t really matter because in the end, it relies on Suzume’s feelings as to whom she currently loves more. And, we’ll probably know the winner of the race by next week. ^^ Scans by all★wink汉化组
