Shun exclaims that there are so many so how is Crude Play’s
live performance. The fans scream that it is super cool and really amazing.
Shun laughs and says ya, he knows♡ Kaoru says that only Shun would
say those kind of words. Shun denies it but both Kaoru and Teppei says that it
is obviously so. Blushing Riko holds her hands together and looks at Aki. Then,
as her heart continues to beat fast, she somewhat bows down. Shinya glances at
Riko and closes his eyes. He quickly grabs hold of the door handle and left.
Shun is already telling the audience that their next song is, ‘Awake or Fast
Asleep’. As the door closes, Miwako starts to rush out the door but Soichiro
stops her. He apologizes and says that he’ll go. While Shinya is walking
downstairs, Soichiro is following him from behind. Sensing him, Shinya stops walking
and asks if it is alright for him to come out like this.
He turns to look at smug Soichiro and asks, “Could it be
that you’re not at all impatient in wanting to see Aki standing onstage that you
had happily rushed over here?” Soichiro takes out a cigarette and lights it up.
He replies, “..Nope. I’m worried about you so I came. *Shinya looks surprised* ..besides,
it is the same with Aki.” Back in the stadium, Shun is happily singing. Fans
are happily squealing. Aki continues to look flustered while playing. Aki
thinks that he probably had some kind of sickness, right. “Self-conceding
personality disorder? Wrong, it is not at all that kind of serious ailment,
right. Because my situation is not at all a reason to deny myself..” Back
outside, Soichiro asks serious Shinya, “Have you properly figured it out?
Without Shinya, Crude Play will disband.” There’s a scene of CP members happily
playing except for Aki.
Shinya says that he had heard that sound yet he would say
these words. “That thoroughly terrible bass performance that is filled with
mistakes! *scene of Riko slightly dancing to the music* ..but, it is a sound
that can make people endlessly excited. *flustered* I cannot play that out. Truly
cunning. No matter what mistake, it seems that from the start, it is already
like that. ..that is the original music’s light that only the composer can play
it out. In the end, compared to anyone, Aki understands the strong points of
the music.” Soichiro replies, “But during composition, could it be that Aki
didn’t compose it with the premise of Shinya’s bass? *Shinya looks surprised*
The main [/important] one is that guy. Isn’t he also unable to tolerate this
thing that cannot sound out Shinya’s melody?”
As Aki continues to play, he wonders, “About my sound, the
feeling of incredibly liking it, as well as, how come I can only regrettably play
like this. It makes me really hate myself so much so that I have a feeling of
wanting to immediately run away from this place. But, in my heart, deep in my
heart, I also hope that I can be approved of. By whom. *image of Shinya
playing* I hope to be able to get your approval. When I’m making a demo
recording, I always filled with anticipation that you’ll tell me, ‘isn’t it
good to just keep the current melody’ but I’m also very uselessly send you a
message to tell you, ‘If you want to change it, it is also totally no problem.’
*recalls looking at how flustered Shinya looked that he left the stadium* That
kind of situation is an expression that you cannot continue to listen to it so
you left like that. Anyway, it isn’t for Shinya that I make music. That time
when his father collapsed, there was a friend who is happy that I’m merely standing
at his side. *Aki glances at Shun who smiles back* But how come it is like
this. Why. In this feverish atmosphere, gradually, gradually, how come I *looks
up the stadium* How come from the bottom of my heart, I felt that this sound is
not at all Crude Play’s”
Comment: Ah..it’s
really hard to be a genius to music. Aki didn’t know of how his playing makes
people excited and how he brings out what’s good about the song but then he isn’t
the type to be happy over a crappy performance. Instead of being happy about
entertaining the fans and making Shun happy for being at his side, Aki must
have been feeling a bit of inferiority and this is pretty much torture to him. Only
he and Soichiro know the difference in CP music without Shinya. It makes me
think that Aki got Soichiro’s music sense while Shinya got the ‘how to’ of the
industry. The two are indeed opposites yet envying what the other has. If only
they are satisfied with each other’s talents, they won’t be tormenting
themselves this much. With his playing, as a genius composer, I wonder if Aki
would go into a slump if he’ll have to take over as CP’s bass. He is already sensing
that it isn’t CP music. The fans are all excited and everything that they don’t
really notice the difference. Even Shinya thinks that it is okay. Maybe Riko
can pep talk Aki about his playing that would change his mind about he views
it. Or, Shinya to come back to the concert? I’m not sure if this can be resolved
the same way with the composition wherein Aki revised Shinya’s work. About
Soichiro, I’m not sure if he is really concerned about the two or CP’s future
but then, he is indeed saying things that can make Shinya realize that he’s
also important to CP. That is something he can say quite convincingly and those
are the words that Shinya probably wants to hear the most. It would be nice if
Soichiro become more of a mentor for the two rather than the boss who is doing
things only for profit. So, we have two possibilities as cause of the
disbanding, will it be either of the two, both, or something else? Scans by 红莲&wink炖蘑菇汉化组

Thanks for the summary as always excellent work!

DeleteSo in the end, Aki needs Shinya in order to produce CP songs. Despite of being envying after each other's talent, they need each other to complete their talent. Kind of twisted if you ask me. I think it was a last blow for Shinya when he sees Riko reacts when she saw Aki on the stage. There is a saying "You will realize if you lose something precious when you lose it once" <3 Tika
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Tika.
DeleteIndeed.
hi wanna ask, what manga of your header anyway?
ReplyDeleteIt is from Zetsuen no Tempest, chunchunxxx ^^
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the summary. I've exceptionally liked your comment and quote of the day. I agree about what you said in your comment and I believe that this manga is still interesting even though we're not witnessing a lot on the romantic side. At this point of time, it would be absurd to re-introduce Mary again. Obviously Aki has been - and is going - through a lot. This experience should make him more mature. I think that now he maturely understands his strong points and shortcomings. This understanding reveals a growing awareness of the responsibility he has towards CP and its future. If Shinya is taken by the same awareness, this could only lead to a harmonious situation where each person strives in doing what he does best (Shinya's forte isn't composition and Aki's forte isn't playing the bass). I hope that Mush would have a role in helping Aki finding the stability which he needs. This kind of moments is what strengthens a couple and makes the story more distinct if compared to the usual shoujo/ josei clichés.
Oh I forgot to rant about Miwako lol ^^ I like Shinya's character but I am not routing for a pairing between the two. It is really unfortunate if such a pairing happens. I was going to write something scandalous like sending Miwako into a ring where she gets hit and beaten to a bloody pulp by ODB (an American female wrestler) ψ (◣_◢) ψ - my "not forgiving" side hahaha but as mature readers, we have to criticize pairings maturely, don't we? lol
DeleteThanks for reading, RoseFleur ^-^ Glad to hear that ^^
DeleteIndeed and hopefully so.
Lol..question, do you hate Miwako more than Mari? For me, I'm not too sure..if it is Shinya's 'happiness' then I'll be okay with it. Of course, it would be better if it is someone better ^^ I think there's potential for her to 'change/character development'. I guess you are very happy that Soichiro stopped her ^^
hmmm well, if I look into this matter from your perspective, then there might be a way to redeem Miwako's character, and yes ... you're right again, I jumped from my chair and made a victory sign when I realized that Soichiro stopped her from going after Shinya. ☆*:.。.o(≧▽≦)o.。.:*☆
DeleteWhom do I hate the most?
The thorny question ((╬◣﹏◢)) ... and Kyouko's demons from Skip Beat are out of their box lol (#`Д´)
Well I dislike both of them but I dislike Miwako more because she might succeed in turning Shinya's head towards her because the girl he is interested in is already taken (i.e. Mush) so there isn't much competition in there and I feel like getting inside the manga and blocking all her attempts ψ(▼へ▼メ)~→ hahaha In comparison, Mari doesn't have a chance with Aki (at least I hope so because if she does then that's a different story ... and you'll have to wait for my scandalous reaction hahaha)
However, this is just my humoristic side because if I want to be serious about it then I usually accept all possible scenarios in a manga or a book, even if I don't like some of them, out of respect of the author's work.
Hehe, I see. ^^
DeleteThat is quite amusing since it is more on dislike more if the disliked girl gets a chance at happiness ^^
