Hatsu Haru [Chapter 15]

Miki and the others are very happy because they passed the make-up exam. So now, they can welcome summer vacation~~!! They thank the others for teaching them. Riko asks Kai how he did in the exam. Kai got a 100. She says that’s really amazing.

Narration: “Whether or not Newton advocated the scientific law of gravity, people already know for a fact that a fallen apple cannot return to the branch. But at the moment, let me ask intelligent Newton a question...”

Hatsu Haru [Chapter 13]

Ayumi exclaims to Taka that in the end, it is like that, Kai definitely likes Riko. Taka claims that he doesn’t know. Ayumi shouts that even if he pretends not to know, it is useless because just now, he took Riko’s picture and he sent it to Kai!!

Hatsu Haru [Chapter 12]

Taka goes to Kai’s place and asks Sango how is Kai’s situation. Sango tells him that Kai is always sleeping. She complains over how he could have a fever when it was commonly said that idiots doesn’t catch a cold. It must be because germs have evolved that it is now effective on idiots.

Hatsu Haru [Chapter 11]

Taka and Tarou notices the lovey-dovey look on Kai and Miki’s faces. Ah, they are indeed in seventh heaven. Tarou asks if something happened during the fireworks festival. Kai says what he is talking about-- He recalls Riko letting him hold her hand and she would just follow him. He happily laughs and wonders if he has hope.

Hatsu Haru [Chapters 9 - 10]

Chapter 9: The cicadas are chirping loudly. Perspiring Kai thinks that it’s really hot. While he looked out the classroom’s window, someone covers his eyes. He asks, “..what?” The other person says that it is nothing. It is Riko who then hugs him from behind. She says that she only wants to do this, that’s all.

Hatsu Haru [Chapter 8]

Kai and his friends are studying at his house. Sighing Kai looks absent-minded which causes his friends to become worried about him. Kai is thinking what is it to fall in love and he doesn’t know what to do. He is always thinking of this and afterwards, he falls deeper in love.

Chapter 5: Ever since before, Riko is like that. Her friend forgot to bring her writing materials and she’s scared of the teacher reprimanding her. So, young Riko gave her own writing materials. Kai called her stupid for their next class is also writing. She told him not to mind her.
